"Oh, so you've been it's slave before?" She paused, "I'm Namaste. Inebar's my father." She hated the reaction that usually came with that.

"That I have," Zyan rolled his eyes, "And I know your father's reputation as well.. He's another one of the many that make me.. rage..."

"He seems to have that affect on many." She sighed, "Kind of makes my brother and I pariahs." She shrugged her slim shoulders sadly.

Zyan sighed, and picked up a soft shell. "I didn't mean anything by it. I'm sorry.."
He handed Namaste the shell, "You know there was a time when shells like this were the best treasure one could find for folks like us? Or at least, I thought so at the time.."

"It's okay, I'm use to it meaning something." She took the shell and looked at it for a long moment, "And that changed for you?" Her voice was soft.

"Well, I'm not known as the nicest in the valleys.." he sighed, "And there was a time, when I followed Morticia."
He held his head in disgust, "I am not proud of what I did. But the treasures.. Glistened in the brightest of ways. Brighter than the sea under a cloudless sky.."
"I try not to remember treasures like those anymore," he shook his head clearing his thoughts, "Those were dark days.."

Namaste sighed, "I understand. My brother doesn't understand. We share everything, but the secret of El Dorado. I won't reveal it to him, because I'm afraid it would make him desperate." Her eyes glistened, "I'm afraid of Morticia was still here, that my father would follow her. He's kind, but I dont' understand his ways."

"That's good of you," he nodded, "Keep as much of that glistening evil away from him as possible. And myself as well."
Zyan chuckled, "If you ask anyone else, I'm bad enough as it is without motivation."

She tilted her head, "You don't seem that bad to me." She blushed again, "It's a heavy secret and the only thing we disagree about. Sometimes, I come so close to telling him...but I just can't."

"I'm not so bad," he chuckled, "in close quarters. However, in a general day to day manner of speaking, I'm outright horrible. One might say the years of teenage angst never let go of me.."
"And I'm sure it may be stressful. But trust me, its far worse to let him slip away into gold fever."

"I think I could tolerate you in close quarters," she blushed furiously thinking how that sounded. "I mean...dealing with daddy and Ishmael...and Tsunami...I could deal with you." She looked down at her fin again reddening even more.

"I..." Zyan blushed furiously. He'd never had anyone say anything like that to him before. Such comments were only spoken by the Dryll-obsessed fan girls, and only about Dryll.
'Why am I thinking of Dryll even now?! The stupid jerk has invaded my thoughts!' He gritted his teeth and looked away from Namaste. "Why.. why would you say something like that?"

"You're not annoying me now." She said it simply, and even though her face was redder than it had ever been in her life, she looked at him steadily.

"Annoying.. that's not a common word to describe me." Zyan smiled and turned to look at Namaste, "Angry, jealous, wrathful... those are what I'm used to hearing."
"I'm glad I don't annoy you. Surprisingly enough, you don't annoy me either."
