"Of course." He murmered softly, frowning just a bit. It was too bad mother could not, though in many ways it comforted Uumi. You see, he though he was just simular to Sarabi in his health, he never realized that he and Kiuma were the ones who'd caused her to weaken.
He grunted as she suddenly pounced him, coughing just once or twice. His eyes narrowed, twisting a bit to bite back, gently. "You're awfully excited." He smirked at her. He was too, he was just containing this excitement.

She chuckled darkly, mouthing at his neck so he felt her teeth but no pain. "Of course... I have every reason to be. I think... I'm going to make myself a necklace out of the bones of my first kill. One like mothers, with the sun in the middle. That way, I'll always have something to remember.... well, everything by." She laughed as she lay against him, gently kneeding at his neck and shoulders with her paws, the way a kitten will with its mother or siblings when it sleeps. "Do you want any of the bones for yourself, or anything? I can save you some. I want to get a little bit of something from everywhere we go. I wonder what the animals taste like outside of the Pridelands?"

Despite himself he began to purr, eyes shutting. Did he want any bones for himself? "Sure." He muttered. Yes, he would like something to remember his family by. He still wasn't ready to tell Kiuma he'd be coming back. "Something to make.. for my tail, I think." He murmered, hoping she could save him something neat for that.
"Does mother know we're leaving.. and if not.. should we tell her?" He wasn't for that idea, that was for sure.

"I havn't really come right out and told her..." Kiuma said softly, a bit of petulance sneeking into her voice. "Though I think she suspects. We've never been able to sneek anything past her. I don't think now is an exception." She let go of him finally and set her lanky form next to his, just close enough to touch if she leaned a little. Her dark tuffed tail swished through the dirt, tracing snakey patterns in it. "I don't care about our siblings, or the other pridemembers, but we should atleast say good bye to Mother and Father. They'll worry if they don't know we've left."

His tail flicked slightly, but he was much more still than Kiuma. "I supose you are correct." There motehr was a very wise lioness, wasn't she? "Though I don't know how it will go over with her." He murmered softly.

Kiuma's shoulders rippled as she shrugged, her tail swishing. "I know she won't like it... but I don't know what she'll do. Do you want to go talk to her, maybe?"

He sighed and dragged himself to his paws. "Now is better than never, eh?" It was true, if not a very happy statement. He nudged her and then began toward the large pride den.

Kiuma nodded and rose to follow, her tail hanging low as her rounded ears drifted back on her head. As much as she despised most other lions, her mother and father were two of the three she could honestly say she loved. Her siblings held little draw for her, and the other pridemembers didn't even have that. Paws dragging, she trailed after her brother, two alike, yet unalike cubs.
Sarabi, golden queen of the Pridelands, stepped lightly from the den she shared with the rest of the pride and her mate Mufasa. Blue and red beads clicked against each other and the golden sun that hung in the middle of the strand as the lioness moved. It was a pleasant sound, accompanied by the gentle pat of her paws on the rock. Bright red eyes, a match for the two pairs that moved towards her, gazed at her cubs with gentle affection. These two were forever out in the Pridelands, exploring and making trouble. But then, Rehani seemed to be the only one of her five living cubs that stayed near home.

Uumi began to purr as his mother came into view. And when he got to her he rubbed up against her legs in an affectionate nuzzle. "Hello, mother." He cooed out, he was even more affectionate to Sarabi than he was to his twin, and that was a rare thing indeed.

Kiuma joined her brother, though she took their mother's other side for a gentle nuzzle.
Sarabi smiled and dipped her head to rub one cheek against each of her offspring, a purr rumbling through her chest. "Good morning, little ones. What have you been up to?"

At his mother's question he shrugged and slowly say. "Nothing of interest, really." He stated, glancing to Kiuma. She should bring up their leaving to their mother, that was what he thought!
His tail flicked, slightly nervous in his stance.
(By the way. once we've finished this rp wanna time skip and finally start them on the journey? And you can do the hunt rp at the same time until it's finished?)

His sister caught the glance and her ears fell back. Why did she have to be the one to tell Mother? The red cub sighed softly.
"We've been talking, Mother... We'd like to go explore, after I go on my first hunt."
Sarabi flicked her ears forward, settling back on her haunches with a rattle of wooden beads. "Explore? Don't you two do enough of that already?" The queen stifled a sigh. She knew what her daughter was talking about. She'd known it would come up eventually. It pained her that none of her cubs seemed to be the kind to stay put. The Pridelands was her home, and she couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Thus, she didn't understand this need her cubs seemed to have to leave.
"Yes... but we'd like to go farther than we've gone before..." Kiuma shifted and looked to her brother. She flicked her tail nervously, letting him take up the argument now.

His eyes lightly narrowed at her. She couldn't even tell their mom? How did she expect to survive out there? "Mother, we want to leave the pridelands... for a while." Kiuma would be coming back, he knew that. He would not, though. "We want to explore new worlds, this one has become boring.." He said slowly, carefully. He did not want to offend his mother, but he wanted to get to the point too.

Sarabi did sigh this time, settling back on her haunches as she curled her tail around her paws. "I suppose I'm not suprised. It was rather evident that my cubs would be leaving the Pridelands." She lifted her golden head to look up to the sky, a whistful expression on her face. "I too wished to explore when I was young, but... event prevented that. Then I became Queen. After that, the urge slowly faded away." Crimson eyes dropped to her two offspring, so different from their siblings.
"I will not stop you from leaving, if that is what you're afraid of. You two are nearly adults, and as such, it is time you made your own decisions. It saddens me that you'd want to leave your home, but I have the hope that wherever you go, you find happiness..." She sighed again, shaking her head. "May our ancestors watch over you, young ones. Protect each other, help each other. That's all I can ask of you."

A slow purr rumbled from Uumi, this was why he loved his mother so much. "Thank you." He breathed out, nuzzling into her a moment before moving away and slowly toward the den, Kiuma could follow or stay if she wanted to. He needed time to plan.End
