Josh scrunched up his nose at the name, dislodging himself from Godfrey's back and quickly scooting up besides him. "S'not morning you big weirdo."
Josh glanced around the table but didn't say hi to anyone else, as he was horrible with names and was always afraid of getting them wrong. He grabbed a bread roll too to occupy his mouth.

Any of you have the notes from last week's Ancient Runes class? I think it was Tuesday's or...Thursday's?

"It's been well enough so far." Herbology class was today, which was Adela's favourite class, naturally. "I have that class, but I don't take notes, sorry."
Adela was rather a fan of 'winging' it. "Perhaps G-"

"Me me me me! I have notes!" Godfrey interrupted his sister, practically diving under the table to get his book bag. Ancient Runes was one class he didn't actually have to study his a** off for constantly, but he still diligently took notes. "I have whatever notes you need."
He popped back up with the bag in his lap, nudging both Adela and Josh on either side of himself as he searched though the bag for his runes notebook. He found it after a few moments, an inch thick notebook with a thick cover and three huge rings on the edge to easier click into a binder.
"You can borrow them until whenever." Godfrey didn't normally have time to do anything besides Josh/sleep/food/classes/facilities/study/Voldemort/Adela, but he figured... "I think I have some time if you'd like to study together, actually?"

*Takes out her own notebook to begin copying the notes, pen scratching quickly across her paper.*
I'd love to, but I actually have the makeup exam for it this afternoon, so I'm kinda... Pushing it. Thanks so much, though.
Maybe we could hang out tomorrow? I have two free periods and the rest of my makeup work isn't due until next week.
I shoulda buckled down this year. *Sighs, but continues to write.*

"Yeah tomorrow works too....." Godfrey nibbled on a fingernail, thinking a bit longer before nodding. ".... now Josh and I can just spend more time together today." Godfrey grinned, looping his arm around Josh's elbow.
"Don't feel bad, Drake, really. At least you're trying now.... and I always see you studying really hard lately, and that's the hardest thing to keep up with." Godfrey picked up his glass, taking a long drink of apple juice before setting it back down on the table. He licked his lips. Yummy!

Josh half-listened to the conversation between Godfrey and Drake, gathering up a bit of everything that was within reach and putting it on the plate in front of him. A scoop of potatoes, another bun, a chicken leg, a spoonful of sliced fruit.
"You're such an overachiever, Godfrey. Do you even look at those notes a second time... ever? Crazy...." Josh ate the slices of fruit first; apple, orange, banana. He hardly ever picked up a quill in class lately; he didn't need to with Godfrey's notes.

"Well.... well most of my notes I do." Godfrey said, pouting slightly. "And if I were an overachiever I'd be the best in all my classes."
Which is what he wanted to be, but not actually where he really was. Some of his classes he was even one of the worst in- i.e transfiguration.
"..... pfft... I should start charging you to use my notes though." Godfrey said, thinking along the same vein as Josh. He reached under the table with his free hand and pinched Josh on the leg, grinning and implicating with a sharp upward thrust of his eyebrows.

"Boys." Adela sighed, leaning backwards a bit on the bench. After a moment she tossed Godfrey a sharked toothed grin.
"Well, you surely could charge your boyfriend for notes, but never your beloved sister." She glanced over at Josh. "That is... unless my little brother wants Daddy to know he's doing you-know-what."
Adela grinned teasingly, and grinned only wider when Godfrey paled at the reminder.

It was early Monday morning, a number of students filtering in from their weekend activities, grabbing breakfast before the first class of the day began. In fact, the Hall was pretty full with people eating and talking about how their weekend had went, dreading their class and not having done their homework. Josh caught one First Year having a little nap, his chin nearly slipping off the tabletop in front of him.
Josh was feeling even more excited today about having been accepted into the band than he had when he first got the news. He had on a white CoverSluts shirt he had spray-painted himself that weekend, black jeans, his hair done up in a perfect 'hawk. He hadn't really gotten to tell anyone the news yet, not even Godfrey.
"Godfrey~!" Josh bounded up to the table. Godfrey was always so easy to spot with his fox ears poking up like a beacon. He squeezed in besides him, snatching a piece of toast.

Godfrey lifted a hand up in greeting, eyeing Josh's attire. He looked pretty cool in that shirt and Godfrey knew others were probably appreciating it too. Josh was loud and the hair was hard to miss, but Godfrey got annoyed that some people- especially girls- would pay attention to Josh now when they didn't give a crap about him before.
Godfrey thought Josh was amazing the first day they met, but lots of people were too dumb and shallow to take notice of the truly awesome people. Godfrey swallowed his mouthful of eggs, potatoes and toast, moving his bag so Josh could sit. " Hey Josh. Cool shirt."
Josh had the coolest and most random clothes sometimes, whereas Godfrey's were brand name, smooth and shiny and usually cookie cutter fashionable. He would have to go shopping with Josh soon and get some more down to earth clothes. Thrift stores probably had tons of treasures hidden on the racks. Gilderoy and Adela wouldn't know anything and they all had to help Harry dress, so there was no help from that quarter.
"You look extra excited. Talk to Reg?" Godfrey assumed so, since he didn't think he had done anything to make Josh this hyper, and Reg was pretty much the only person Josh had outside of school who could make him look this happy.
