Ah, so he had guessed right. Runako smiled happy that he had understood her drawing, but after watching her finish the picture the lion's smile faded. It was replaced with a quiet growl of disbelief.
Did he see that right? Was she telling him that a male had attacked her and that's how the scars happened? Why would - no he understood. It wasn't unusual for a lion to attack another.
His lilac gaze saddened when the male looked up at her face where three scars ran. Just like in her picture. He didn't need to ask - his guess had to be right. Moving closer he nuzzled the female to comfort her before remembering and quickly pulling back, "I'm sorry." He whispered softly.

She did startle at the sudden contact, but not so much that she ran away. Instead, at his apology, and the anger at herself for her own reaction to his otherwise comforting gestures, she dropped her head sadly. She felt ashamed. She felt saddened. She felt frustrated.
Her eyes fell back to the pictures she had drawn in the sand and, with irritation she stood and swept a paw across it, erasing the image from sight.
When she looked back at him there were tears in her eyes and, mouthing a silent apology at him, she fled.
( possibly end it there (or with a last post from you)? I'd be happy for them to rp with one another again! Perhaps he could also meet her jackal familiar Yuma? )
