Nadia squinted her eyes at Ask and tilted her head. A baseball bat? She couldn't quite make that out. Ask didn't seem forceful at all. He wasn't made for hitting things. She blinked at him. "Well thank you. I think it's fitting for me too. Though a baseball bat...you seem too nice." She put it bluntly.
Nadia looked down at her juice cup and saw that it was empty. It was empty and yet Sun hadn't returned yet. Surely the adults should be done talking right now. She let out a little sigh. "Are they still talking? Should we go get them?" She didn't really know what to do in this situation, but Ask seemed to be familiar with it so maybe he'd know.

"Yeah, I am too nice, usually. Apparently I resemble my item in other ways." He rolled his eyes a bit. "And yeah, they'll stay out there all day if we let them." Ask stood up and took her glass back into the kitchen then headed outside to poke Shiny pointedly.

Nadia followed Ask with a surprising amount of purpose for a girl her age. As Ask poked at Shiny, Nadia planted both hands firmly on her hips and gave Sun a look. She seemed to command much more space then what he small body actually took up.
Sun noticed Ask poking Shiny and gave a slightly startled look before turning to see Nadia. "Mom you said you'd 'Only be a minute.'. This is much more then a minute." She scolded her mother before crossing her arms over her chest.
Sun gave a hearty delighted laugh and scooped Nadia up. "Yes you're right. But I thought you'd be having a nice chat with Ask and wouldn't care." Nadia gave Sun another look and then gave Ask a smile.
"I WAS having a nice chat with Ask. But you DID say a minute. I'm all done my juice."

"I guess you'd best be off then." Shiny said. Ask just nodded and gave Nadia a small smile.
"See you in school, Nadia." He said as Shiny gave him a small nudge. He waved to them as they left then went back inside to finish reading his book.
Overall, it'd been an interesting "minute".

"Yes I guess we better. Little miss Nadia demands it." Sun teased her daughter with a glimmer of amusement.
Nadia tossed her hair in response before giving Ask a smile and wave back. "Bye Ask." Had Nadia been asked, she would have agreed that it had been an interesting minute. It turned out she liked her cousin Ask a lot.
