i saw both versions, the american one kept making me laugh...and the japenese version was kinda creepy...but a little boy meowing at me just isnt scary....

I saw the english version, twasn't scary. I have the Japanese version but I haven't watched it yet....

My friend forced me against my will to watch it...I was freakin' out at the theater, but when it ended all we did was laugh about how stupid it was!

I really like the grafics in the movie, I do't think I have seen that good of grafics since Advent Children!

Its ok I went to see the movie with a friend of mine Chris, and the very first part were Yuko was going in to the adic and the grudge grabs her, Chris screamed like a little girl and through the pop corn in to the air, it was sooo funny and for weeks after the movie if you made the Noise that the Grudge made he would jump sky high....

I was too scared to watch the Japanese and American versions. Though I thought the previews were cool. (b>.<)b

I keep imagining finding some random japanese ghost on the ceiling or under my sheets. xd

So..discusses the:
arrow The Grudge..did it scare you?
arrow Movies that had promising trailers..and then weren't really that good (or scary, for that matter)
arrow Japanese movie remakes

arrow The Grudge (remake one), haven't watch it. So I don't know.
arrow Maybe The Ring, english version.
arrow I don't really like movie remakes. To me, the grudge in Japanese one scare the hell out of me. Also other japanese movies such as One missed call part 1 and Part two freak me out. Especially when you watch it in the cinema and there was like only four people watching it.... crying

Now that you mention it... I thought the Ring 2 was going to attract heaps of people when it came out in cinemas. When my sisters and I watched it we thought there weren't going to be any more ticekts left but the theatre was only half-full.
