She had been sleeping for quite a while, though when she woke she was once again parched for water and hungry. Looking over at the sleeping Edward she rose to her feet as quietly as she could and moved over to get some water, drinking deeply till the burn of thirst was gone and she could enjoy the feel of cool fresh water over her tongue. Licking some droplets off of her lips as she looked round, spotting the flowers that had caught her nose with their sweet scent when she woke, smiling, it was a nice smell, and though the wood and hay hadn't bothered her she did prefer this one.
Her stomach rumbling brought her looking to Edward again, worried that she would wake him and in such an embarrassing way too, besides she had already drained his trough twice and now she was hard pressed not to gobble up the refilled tough of fruit. She was so hungry that she failed to resist and started eating, blushing feeling rather ashamed at her actions though she was promising herself that she would gather food and water for him when she was stronger, determind to replace his kindness and her rudeness.
Sighing softly when she felt sated and looking around, stood to the side taking in the place that she found herself, occupying herself with just looking till her host awoke.

Eddie snuffled and rolled over on his side opening his eyes slowly he was son overcome with an internal panic because the mare was looking right back at him and he was 'sleeping on the job'. He tried to not look startled but immediately stood with a small stumble,"I'm sorry...I was just...er...", he failed to find a suitable reason. Despite his scuffle his mane didn't mess up all too much, just a little bit of dirt that he'd was away later.
He didn't know whether to ask more questions or just shut up. "Is there any thing you'd like right now...I mean...", he hesitated and composed himself,"how are you feeling?" He raised a brow looking somewhat concerned. He knew that there's probably something he was forgetting but he pressed on and sat near the mare at an appropriate distance. He nervously flicked the big fluffy dishes he called ears and listened to the mare. He tried not to speak to loud or too quiet because her dehydration may have caused her to have a little bit of a headache.
He exhaled to calm the heart which was almost leaping out of his chest for his jumpiness. He suddenly felt better and more relaxed again.

She watched him as he woke, listened as he stumbled over his words. Her blush returning, he seemed upset about something, though it seemed more he was upset with himself. Her blush deepening, feeling deeply ashamed of herself. "I'd like to go to the river now please." She was thirsty again and wanted to have a wash. Besides she had eaten him out of house and home again and it was probably better she was outside where she could eat whatever when she got hungry again.
She hadn't thought about it but she was glad he wasn't noisy, she had sunstroke and dehydration, so her head was hurting and her blushing had made it worse... "Maybe somewhere shady?" She was terrible, but she would make it up to him, all of it, her rude ungracious behaviour and her gluttony. She would show him that she was nothing like this usually, though first impressions were almost impossible to overcome.

"Of course", he nodded his head and stood,"this way. Luckily we are not far from the river, close enough for only a short walk. Please follow me." He hadn't thought to much about her hunger and was quite forgiving of her current nature, to him she seemed to be in a lot of trouble when he found her
Eddie spoke softly but enough to be heard,"there are bends in the river where the canopy of the trees sometimes hang over. There'll be plenty of shade there." Eddie began to walk in the general direction of the river and ke and eye her incase she needed assistance. "Have you ever visited this place before?" He didn't know much but he'd find something out. On the way he gathered chlorogalum plants to make soap and other lovely smelling plants, the weather had now become mild.
When they reached the river Edward laid down his findings and turned to her,"would you like me to leave you for a while?" He wasn't one to stand in the way of a lady and her privacy even looking away he felt guilty.

"No!" turning to him when they reached the river, a note of panic in her tone, her eyes wide and a little scared. The idea of being alone brought different levels of worry, one being that she might faint again and drown if he wasn't around, the other being that someone would find her from her home and drag her back. She had no intention or desire to go back.
Wading into the water when she was sure that he wasn't going to leave, gasping a little the deeper she got, having a mild sunburn on her side and back. Stopping when she was just about submerged, her wings and head poking out of the water, sighing after a few moments, the cool water feeling blissful. Her mane tugged gently caught in the gentle flow of the water, the curls loosening a little at the soft tugging. Smiling as she starts to feel cleaner, dipping her head under the water to get all of herself clean, for a moment all that could be seen was her sparkling wings poking out the water. All she would need now was something to help with the cleaning and to add a nice fragrance to her.

Eddie looked slightly astonished at her reoccurring moments of panic,"...okay, as you wish. Just call you if you need me." He gave her a gracious nod and turned around as she slipped into the water. He snuffled at the berries on the bushes to check if they were right to eat. The zesty taste of the berries made a slightly zingy senssation on the tip of his tongue, his mouth watered as his clenched his eyelids shut.So many looked the same and it was sometimes hard to tell, he delicately picked one to taste then gently set down the rest in his basket clumsily back tracking his steps to the basket so as not to look into the river.
The sloshing of water and the tweeting of birds broke the silence but some reason he could still feel it. To fill the gap he hummed a happy tune and began to pick more berries. His tail flicked in place of a tapping foot. He wasted the bumble bee whizz past him and hover round his antlers, as long as he didn't provoke them he's be fine. He smiled at the bees resting in the flowers. He was happy.

She had given herself a good scrubbing, she had been filthy, but after what seemed an age in the water she was clean and felt more herself. Still tired and hungry, though she suspected she would be for a while yet, but much better. She wandered out of the water, trying to shake the worst of it off, but she couldn't shake too hard because of her wings. Her colours much brighter, the dullness of the dirt and dust washed away now. Looking over to the stallion again blushing, she needed his help but she had imposed so much already, besides asking him for such help... she was used to having a lady in waiting to help her dry and comb her hair.
Her voice soft and unsure, not able to look at him out of guilt and embarrassment. "I'm sorry... but.... I need some help to finish drying.... and to comb some of my hair...." Her cheeks flushed pink at the asking, she hated feeling so useless, she had made the choice to leave the only life she had known so she should make do. She wouldn't blame him if he told her no and to get off on her own again, but this stranger seemed so very kind and that made her feel all the worse for imposing on him. "I'm sorry...."

When helping people Eddie never thought of the cosmetic side of things. 'Of course!' He bonked his antlers on a tree. 'How could I forget?!' He thought to himself feeling disappointment in himself. "Oh I am sorry, I always forget the minor details",he said calmly but with genuine concern, he didn't want to panic her by suggesting he go off to fetch a towel. His eyes again wandered over her pelt for a slight second not spending too long, he was paranoid about seeming rude. The black star near her wings brought a smile, her golden wings glistened in the sunlight, his eyes followed them up and round to the stars on top, it was funny how starry themed she was, he wondered if she really was a fallen star,"that was quite some entrance you made Miss Falling-star", he grinned in a friendly way. Now squeaky clean, she was positively glowing Eddie quite liked that,"I am sorry I have no towels here, I am so forgetful", he bowed his antlers slightly,"are you cold?"
If she wasn't there with him he'd've kicked himself up the bum for not extending his thoughts to basic needs after washing, his sighed to himself. 'I'll make it up to her.' He looked worried, the mare didn't arrive to him in a great state and he couldn't leave her unattended because of it.

Star shook her head, looking worried as he banged his antlers. "No... I'm not cold.... Its ice... actually..." Blushing softly and glancing over at him. Moving closer, not really minding drying naturally. "Do you think, maybe, we could find a comb, something to untangle my hair?" Her hair wasn't a mess, but it was clear that where it was long and had curls it tangled easily. And while it could be done alone usually it had been neglected for a while now and was going to take time and teamwork to untangle. Shuffling her hoof a little, unsure, feeling bad to always be asking for things.

Eddie smiled, embarrassingly for him, in the presence of a stranger he did in fact have quite a range of combs, brushes and extras for the styling of hair, his favourite thing was his wide tooth comb it saved him a lot of yelling and noise when others sometimes have had to help him with his hair.
"In fact I do in the teepee." He was sorry to bring up the idea of bringing her back to the place and didn't want to confine her to just that space. He only had a vague idea of what she'd look like in her full glory as she had come to her in quite a state and now she was soaking wet, he'd soon have her dry and comfy again, maybe he could show her where everything is it'd be good to know, even if he still had to take her for a while.
Eddie light footedly walked to the waters edge he nipped at the water because he himself was thirsty and his throat was going dry,"I hope you don't mind", the now relieved and hydrated Eddie looked up to his new acquaintance,"would you like to come this way?"

((Carried on over AIM.)) Quote:
"This way?" She questioned softly, not sure what this was was, but she nodded. "Yes I'll come with you." Her head turning to pull her now longer main up off the ground so it didn't get dirty, the curles having straightened out of it. The tip of her tail lifted higher up as well. Offering him a shy smile when she had everything out the way of getting dirty she moved closer to him so she could follow, being careful with her steps at the moment, her fetlocs were still wet, but she was starting to dry, soon she would just need a good grooming and she would be pretty much back to normal. Though she was still on the skinny side.

Quote: Eddie took her along a path where she was less likely to get dirty and dusty again, along the way back he helped her with her mane occasionally,"I'm sorry miss star. I'd been so silly as to forget everything." Eddie looked kinda embarrassed, he tired to keep a straight face but failed, an unfamiliar shade of rose pink found it's way onto his nose and around his cheeks. He'd lived in Akuba's teepee for a good while, even after his mother left to live elsewhere with her new lifemate, preparation and organisation was another thing he made a mental note on improving. "I hope it's okay out for you and you're not cold." He smiled a weak shy smile and looked on, and towards the teepee. "Please come inside and settle yourself. I'll get you what you need."

Quote: She glanced at him as he spoke and shook her head. "Just Star please." She wasn't accustomed to miss and she definately wasn't going to be telling him that it was in fact princess Star.... No definately not something she wanted to share with him or anyone really. She didn't think this kind stallion would drag her back home, but if word got out that the princess was here then another might take her back, especially if one of the guards found their way here.
She looked to some grass outside of the teepee thing and smiled at hit, looking at the stallion. "Would you mind if I settled on the grass there?" Nodding towards the patch of fresh green grass by the entrance, the sun shining on it. "It looks very inviting and warm in the sunshine."

Quote: "I'm sorry...Star." His brows raised feeling more embarrassed, he looked at her curiously, it seems like she had a lot of her mind. Her circumstances were sure mysterious. "You may", he nodded and turned to get her his brush and comb. He turned his head over his shoulder,"go and warm yourself up, would you mind if I joined you?" He spoke more warmly now forgetting his embarrassment, "here I have what you need." He laid down the brush and comb, he looked down at himself, he was a dirty mess. A soft sigh found it's way out of Eddie's mouth. He got a just of rose water and began to clean his fetlocks. He grabbed a rolled up mat trotted outside quickly so as not to get his damp fetlocks dirty again. The mat flicked and rolled out and he quickly hopped on it trying to seem somewhat graceful too. He beamed at her, he could feel the sun crawl warmly over his pelt as soon as he hit the mat. He put his hooves out on the mat to try and dry them.

Star had settled where the grass was thickest, having said that no she didn't mind him joining her. Looking at him curiously when he was doing something with a mat. Her having settled and spreading out her hair so that it would dry quicker. Picking up the comb he had offered she started on her tail tip as her mane needed 2 to brush it, especially as she had 3 green crystal clips in it at the back of her head, so she began with her tail. She was sure she would feel much better once she was dry and groomed again. Her wings sparkling faintly in the sunlight as she worked on her tail.
