Tal's ears perked up once again, partially out of intrigue, when the older Lycan spoke of his earlier days. It was hard to imagine the rough and tough Nazeil having people laugh at him or even being much of a screw up at something like bounty hunting. Even imagining the guy having trouble holding his gun was strange!

Though, he didn't seem to be feeling all too bad thinking about those times. That was strange as well. Even though he had a tendency to bounce back to being fairly cheery after making his mistakes, he didn't exactly enjoy messing up in the first place. But... hearing that Naz used to be similar did make him feel a bit better about himself.

"Yep! I'm 19," he replied while nodding, "So maybe I won't be as much of a screw up once I'm around your age then."

Naz looked at Tal, thinking for a moment, before he smiled, "I actually was taught by someone how to hunt... Maybe you should do the same. Find someone to mentor you." Naz told him, before looking back at the ground. He thought a bit more then chuckled, thinking of the funny times. " This old guy... I thought he was so cool so I bugged him until he finally taught me."

He paused, and sighed again, this time he looked up at the sky, " The b*****d just left one day though, after he felt like I had learned enough." Naz said, hoping the story cheered the other up, even if it was by a little.

Naz then looked at Tal, "I'm sure you'll be a great hunter some day, hopefully you just wont make as many mistakes as I did." Naz told the youngin', sincerely wishing the other never ended up like he is. Alone with no meaning to life. He understood other people had those meanings to life, and if hadn't made so many mistakes, he would have at least someone today.

"Huh..."

Taking in those words, Tal thought it over some. Getting a mentor would definitely help. Just going at it on his own would take a lot more time than if someone was pointing him in the right direction in the least. He glanced down at the weasel in his arms for a moment or two as the thoughts floated around his orange head. And it was right around then that an idea struck him. Perking up once again, he glanced over towards Naz with a big grin.

"Maybe you can give me some pointers! I mean... even though you hunt people instead of animals, there's gotta be some overlapping. Some of the same general ideas could be used, right?" he suggested. It was a bit of a long shot, but he figured it couldn't hurt to try. Even if Nazeil didn't know much about catching animals, the earlier demonstration with catching the weasel already proved he knew more than Tal at the time.

Naz turned away immediately, regretting every word he just said. He... He wasn't ment to be a father, so he shouldn't act like one. But, deciding to try not to be a jerk, he tried to instead distract the kid, "Oh! I think that's there house right up there, am I right? Probably not." Naz was just trying to do anything to get the kid off of the subject. But he knew, that wouldn't cut it, not in the least, he had to try harder.

"Oh! Speaking of houses, where do you live? I live at the near by inn." Naz told Tal, pointing in the direction he thought the inn was. Ahhh, that should get him focused on something else, yesas.... Forget all about that troublesome thing you call a question.

Naz's little ploy to deter Tal worked fairly well. When he asked if their destination was up ahead, he looked forward and shook his head. He was about to repeat the question, but then he was asked on himself. That made him forget about his little suggestion pretty quickly.

"Oh nice! I live in a small place near the tea house," he replied while glancing in the general direction of the place, "By the way, do you still work there? Haven't really been there in awhile personally."

It was always an amusing image to imagine someone like Naz waiting on people. It didn't quite seem to fit right in this lycan's head. But he supposed a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Naz sighed and looked away, a bit of blush rising to his cheeks. He almost regretted changing the subject now, but it wasn't like a huge secret or something. Working at that place was a constant work, which is what he needed to make sure he got by.

"Yeah... I am. It's a nice job, she lets me take off work at days at a time, as long as notify her a week or so before I go on my little trips. When I'm gone I'm not paid, but at least I have the job when I get back, right?" Naz looked over at him, wondering if he ever had a job like the one at the tea shop.

That was when an idea hit him, " Have you ever tried being a waiter Tal? You might like it." He hoped to stray Tal away from the capturing anything, or killing anything, life... He was to cute looking for that sort of job.

Well that was good for Naz, the orange lycan thought. Having a constant job was a pretty good idea for someone who basically took in contracts now and then.

At the question, Tal blinked as he tried to think back on the number of things he had tried out thus far. After a few moments, he shook his head, "Nope. But I tried being a delivery boy once! I... ended up tripping and dropped the order in the streets... I don't think I'd be much better as a waiter."

While he thought on that, he nearly let go of the weasel again, but managed to keep a good hold on it after all.

"Woah, you're not going anywhere," he told the little guy.

Naz watched him, rolling his eyes as he felt a bit of pity for the other Lycan. That boy had it rough, how the hell could someone possibly be THAT clumsy? Well... That was him at one time, huh? Except he had moma to help him feel better... That reminded him.

"Speaking of that, do you have any family, or someone to help yah while you get on your feet?" Naz queried, he was pretty sure he didn't, but he double checking. Who knows, the boy looked like he could be a momas boy, just like he was. OF COURSE HE WOULD NEVER ADMIT THAT. And anyone that knew, was DEAD... He made sure of that.

He watched the boy struggle with the weasel and chuckled a bit, he really was the spitting image of what once was. It was interesting to him that he didn't get sad, that it actually made him get warm feelings.

"Yes... but not in this town," replied Tal a bit hesitantly, "I actually ran away from home a few years ago. Wanted to try and make a name for myself. Ma wanted me to be like Dad... as a banker."

The young Lycan made a bit of a face at that thought. Being a banker was amongst the last of things he wanted to become. It just seemed so... boring to basically spend his life counting and handling money.

"I don't want to do that though. I want to do something more exciting! She didn't like that at all and kept pushing for the whole banking thing so... I ran."

Ears lowered as he continued to think on it. Despite the arguments, he did miss her, and he had to wonder if she was worried at all for him. Either way, he was determined to try and prove himself in a relatively exciting field before trying to go home. Maybe that way she'll see that he's capable of doing it.

Naz listened, thinking... He could understand his mother's concern... It was dangerous... He could die living the life he was now. living the way he was, no one would even know he died. He would just be dead. Then again, he understood Tal, this was the life... This was freedom, and could be somebody to someone. Eventually anyways...

Then he thought... He wasn't meant to son, but maybe... Maybe for once it wasn't about him, maybe it was that Tal was meant someone, a father figure, to help him and care for him. Maybe it wasn't that he didn't deserve a son, but it was that Tal deserved a father who was there for him. A small smile rose to his features as his mind d'welled on it.

"Well... Still want a mentor?" Naz asked, not realizing that it had nothing to do with the conversation, but it was where his mind was, and it made sense to him.

In the brief silence, Tal continued to think about his family. They should be fine as his little brother would still be there for his mother. Most likely he wouldn't mind being the banker in the family either. Realizing this eased his heart a little.

Then, hearing Naz mention a mentor, his ears perked up once again. Though, he tilted his head to the side as he was a bit confused as to where that came from. It seemed so much out of the blue for him that it took a little while for the question to settle in his orange head.

Once it hit him, a big grin appeared on his face and the confusion changed to that of excitement.

"Of course! It'd be nice if someone could give me some pointers in the least," he chirped. Briefly, he glanced away to look ahead. The Weran household wasn't too much further so soon he'd be able to drop off the squirmy weasel.

Naz looked him over, examining him for a moment. " You need a little more then a few pointers, boy." Naz told him, chuckling a bit. Yeah, the boy was a complete mess. But, maybe Naz could him a future, a good one that he'd be proud. Maybe even live the usual dream. Make money, get a woman, have children, and so on. The famous, 'animal... catcher'. Which didn't so fabulous right now, but he knew Tal would make it look good.

"Well, guess you should get your s**t packed, I'll teach you how to be a good hunter, Tal. Your living at my place though, so I don't have to get up and grab your little tail whenever your needed for a mission." Naz tried to talk about this in a way that benefited him some how... But it didn't. AT ALL. So... It was hard.

"You'll learn how to deal for a better price, learn when to sleep, when to get up, what to eat, how to hunt, what equipment to hunt with, and most important of all, how to collect information." Naz said, sounding pretty proud that he was able to teach that all. he finally had someone to pass on the information too, so... It did please him allot... To maybe for a month or two, have a son to look out for.

There was a certain light in Tal's eyes as Naz went on and explained the 'curriculum'. It sounded tough, to say the least, but he was more than willing to go through it if it meant he could finally be good at something relatively cool. By the end of the explanation, he was grinning like a maniac, and he nearly dropped the weasel again.

"Aye aye sir!" he exclaimed happily, "I'll do my best to learn!"

There was a noticeable pick up in his pace as he tried to hurry on towards their destination. Before too long, he reached the door, in which he gently knocked. In his excitement on having a mentor, he was nearly as squirmy as the little critter he held in his arms. Once he traded the weasel for gold, he turned towards Nazeil again.

"You said you live by the inn, yes?"

Naz smiled as he watched Tal, he could see how much this meant to the boy. He wouldn't be lonely until he kicked his sorry a** back out of the house, or he was ready to move on. At least this time, it'd be at his own pace, he would leave when he was ready. He wouldn't have to run away.

"That would be correct. Want me to help you pack and get to my place?" Naz questioned, trying to keep himself from looking excited too. He had to grab his tail and hold it to keep it from wagging.

Tal's tail wagged rather happily behind him as the feeling of excitement coursed through his body. Grinning at Naz, he shook his head rapidly while looking like was ready to bolt off to his place.

"Nope! I got it!" he chirped, "Thanks for the offer though!"

He figured he didn't need to bring a whole lot. And it wouldn't be hard to fetch things from his home if needed.

"I'm gonna go grab my stuff then! See you soon!" he exclaimed before blazing off without a moment's notice. The orange lycan was pretty quick on his feet... though a good part of that was probably the excitement driving him to go faster.
