Ranoyu As much to my surpirse I do enjoy the political angle of the show. I usually don't like to deal with the politics in any way but GITS makes them seem enjoyable. Probably because these issues and such in the show aren't really real but based on fact in the real world. Actually, you'd be suprised. In fact, yesterdays episode had a couple of references to the Cuban revoultion. Yay, my favorite revoultion. domokun

It is because of thes politics that many say GITS is too complicated or "that show's gay"

Quote: people that are into philosophy tend to like gits. its interesting, im into materialist philosophy, so i actually totaly disagree with most of the stuff thats in it, but yes, i do see where you're coming from. Quote: Does it really have philosophy? the philosophy is mostly in the manga and the movies, not sac(though i havent seen 2ndgig so...)

Setno Kusanagi_Motoko I think it's funny how a lot of people say "uh that show is ******** stupid..." They only say that because they can't understand it xd This guy I know from school said that, I asked him why and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. Then finally, after bugging him for weeks, he told me it was because he couldn't understand it. rofl True the real analytical parts of the show most people tune in out because of the low ability to understands the function of the political status.

Actually, I like the philosophy in SAC and not in the manga and movie. Do you remember that episode where the Tachikomas do philosophy of mind (1st season)?

I love the way each Character including the Tachikomas express their in depth thoughts of any situation.

I enjoy the political side of the show, yes. It surprises very much that I'm even able to follow all that they're talking about. DOWN WITH POLITICS, UP WITH THE MAJOR! 4laugh

I enjoy all of the show. And I've found that guys tend to watch it for the major's nice a**, or the action. And girls tend to watch it becouse they think Togusa's hot. *shivers*
Not all people are like that, but quite a few are. Some who watch it are just clueless.
Wow, I'm feeling cheery about the world today...

Oh I do love the politics of the show, it's like watching a historical drama unfold before yours eyes! I mean, the technology and the philosophy with humanity is what makes it a good show, but tie it in how people and more importantly a whole society interacts with it is so cooooool! whee
Especially when the future being presented is quite possible, it gets me all excited.
