Perhaps a Ranger/Guide job? Someone who's familiar with the area who would be tasked with helping people who are lost and can be specifically tasked with search-and-rescue missions as well as being hired to safely guide a person/people from point A to point B through a forest/desert/mountain/other type of wilderness. 'Twould certainly be something my character would be good at...heh.
Body guard would be a good match i think. I can't think of a way to make a guide work in the guild.
I was thinking that a Guide would work sort of like a Repel in Pokemon games -- hire a guide and you don't have to worry about running across (as many) wild creatures, which could be helpful if low-level characters have to traverse a dangerous area. Body guard would work, too, though.

Maybe an officer of some sort to keep the peace.
you know thats not a bad idea. I think my main OC is going to become a necromancer XP
Also, I think a good idea is to have like a list of current bounty heads that you can view at an inn or something. Like it would list a bunch of people and the prices set for them, the crimes they committed or reason for capture. It could even give a picture. Have them put in shops or inns so everyone has an opportunity to see them.
Its a nice idea and i like it but as it is right now its simply to much more work. Bounty's for now will have to be placed by the members on the heads of those their after or a messenger could sent the bounty hunters a message with the details. But this again would have to be done by the members. Maybe later when things pick up ill be able tp list the bounty's out but for now its to much work.
Well I know of two ways it can work out easily, because Bounty Hunters don't usually just go up to people and ask them. They do things like looking up ads or lists of currently wanted people. The two ways we can work this out that I can think of:
1. A job where they take bounty requests from people and add them to a list in an inn or shop, and also make ads or other things like that.
2. (Easier for you) People go to the inns or shops themselves and put in a request and add them to a list themselves so everyone can see them.
If you think about it, it doesn't make much sense for a Bounty Hunter waiting for random people to come up to them and ask them. They would usually see wanted posters or lists of currently wanted people instead of just asking around. You know what I mean? In a more realistic sense, making a list would be better for everyone and give everyone a fair chance.
Like i said its to be worked out my the members. If you want a thread with bounty's placed on it then your more then welcome to make one. The guild of blood would also be a good guild to join because their both bounty hunters and bounty's to be hunted. Kind of a odd working system but its how they work XP

I'll make a thread about it. I suggest it works like this:
We make the thread and have people contribute, then to interact with it in story they go to an inn or shop to see the list. Simple enough?

you can post it in the guilds main thread along with the rest of the guilds most have threads.

Since it is up, you can just link to it in the job list. That would help.

As mentioned in the September freebie thread, maybe make a thread for players to trade items? (just to keep records, proof of consent, have both parties involved make a post in the thread) razz Or should that happen in the RP only? xD If so, I better hurry and finish my character.

Sooooooooo I took the liberty of creating a few NPC's and concocted a simple system to fight said NPC and thought I should post it here just to make sure it's fine or in case anyone's interested in making something out of it.
NPC will have HP and Base Damage (small description if you wish) and be put at the beginning of a thread as spoilers. Players will roll a 6D or 4D die and depending on the result, they may successfully cast a spell/use an attack, be hit by it, be hit with 2x damage, or even have the NPC heal. The NPCs will have a fix damage while the players' damage will depend on their stats and the spell they use. Though this system makes it possible for NPC to interrupt a player's cast (Healing, Totem, summoning, etc. everything is interruptible should they roll the wrong number)
Example:
Quote:
NPC
►Lulu [Receptionist]◄
█Age: 30 █Race: Wieva █Height: 5'7" █Weight: 123 lbs █Physical Description:Woman dressed in yukata and often seen smoking. █Personality: Acts bored most of the time and speaks in a lazy drawl. She enjoys her naps very much. Disturbing her in those times are the only times one will see her use what meager energy she has to throw a fit. █Role: Receptionist at the Singing Siren Hot Spring █HP: ❖❖❖❖❖ ❖❖❖❖❖ (100) █Damage:❖
Guidelines
-Roll a 6D for every post for the success result of your actions. Your spell has landed successfully You are hit instead and receive damage Both parties have missed. Your spell has landed successfully. You are hit instead and receive 2x damage NPC has managed to recover 1/2 of the damage they can deal in HP Spell includes ALL spells and melee attacks. Keep in mind that you can be interrupted in the middle of a cast so that is what it is for. -Post as many time as needed to defeat the NPC. Should you fail, you will have to start over. A minimum of 100 words per post.

Another idea I thought was maybe to give each guild/house a mission/task budget so that they can come up with their own missions and find ways to reward their members. (Okay, let's be honest, this is really not a pressing matter considering the fact that we haven't even filled up all the guild leadership positions yet XD) Just an idea I had should the main plot stall. It will allow each guild to reward their members for being active should they finish a task. E.g.: Evolution hiring Y# of Hired Grunts to go kill XYZ NPC of Nobility or just troll with RPC of Artifact while they are trying to finish a task.

Spells!
Learning a new spell! I'm a sucker for procedure and am already sort of imposing it on myself. Every time a character wishes to learn a new spell, they have to mention practicing it or just trying to cast it for a fixed amount of posts. Perhaps have the practice post spend the amount of Mana needed usually to cast it so someone doesn't spam-abuse train them? For instance, a spell needs 20MP to use usually and need 4 posts for it to be learned so the RPer will have to post 4 posts with their OC mentioning that they are trying out a new spell. This will be a total of -80MP. Should they not have enough, they will have to wait for their MP to recover to continue.
Custom Spell Creation! Okay, I'll admit that this is mainly due that I have new spell ideas, ideas that I did not have when I created my characters. Maybe just have a thread where people can submit new spells and have a crew member go over it/attempt to fix it.

Working with Kuro Ryuu Hime's idea for Guide/Repel, NPC mobs can be attributed to every thread or so and whenever someone is posting a non combat post, they have to roll a die and if they get a specific number, they may encounter a mob? If it has more than 1 mob, the different mobs can be attributed to different numbers and if we need more than 6, we can just roll a number instead of a dice.
Defeating monsters can also be a question of luck/dice roll like I mentioned above. I could volunteer to create mobs ninja
And maybe make it so that only the city will be mob free safe zone? But may have occasional monsters thrown at them if it is starting to gather lotsa OC's
Im having to take some personal time off from the guild due to ... an "unwanted guest" if you will. No details yet mostly due to not knowing what im dealing with my self. I'll still be on gaia, im just unable to keep my mind on the work at hand for now.

I'm currently working on fixing some grammar issues in the faq. I figured that was the most important on to get done first. I'll do my best to take care of things while you're away.

I could help with grammar/spelling. The OCD side of me can see some edits that can be made to include links and cleaner formatting to make things easier for derps like to me understand.
Also, I could make up NPC mobs and scatter them around a bit if my previous method/guidelines are fine. It will help keep things a bit alive in time when both Bu and Ohmarrow are busy.
