Liu was intensely relieved to find that he hadn't killed or injured someone. Putting someone in the hospital because he had somehow kicked them had happened before - that had been an experience he never wanted to relive. In either case, the person he had bumped into hadn't budged a centimeter (this just reminded Liu of what a scrawny child he was) and instead held out a hand to him. Now, Liu was quite socially impaired - anyone that knew him would say the same thing, but he was mildly aware that when people held out hands to others, that was usually an offer of friendship.

The boy was not going to turn him down, because he needed allies, and he needed allies fast.

Taking his hand, Liu smiled (or tried to smile, it probably looked a little frightening) and stood up easily, shutting his trap and trying to look as sane as possible. "Third member? Oh, do you mean third member by me joining your group and becoming friends with you both? Because I would love to do that - I mean, if you don't mind -" He grinned again rather easily, and found that after the second time, it seemed to become much less of a task and more of a pleasure. Besides, the two boys and other people lingering around him seemed to be nice enough if not rather creepily formal. And silent. But yes - he was fine with that. They seemed to treat him well enough, though Liu had no idea what kind of treatment was considered good enough for friendship. Anyways, if they accepted his offer of friendship, Liu would bring glorious light into their lives!

Either way though ... both his brain and his emotions were probably moving too fast. Taking a deep breath, Liu decided to slow down. "My name is Jing Liu~" With a slight laugh, Liu watched as more people seemed to close in around their group. Watching a small girl flounce towards them he smiled again (maybe that was one too many smiles) at her and said easily, "Ah yes, I am fine~ Thanks for the concern. I am just a bit too clumsy for my own good."

Now shifting his attention to the other boy at hand, a quieter boy by the looks of it, he had said something about cooking. Thinking almost instinctively, Liu's tiny face broke into another grin this time, motioning towards his schedule and blurting out something. "I have cooking too! What a coincidence! What are the rest of your classes?" Perhaps the other boy had the same schedule as him? That would make Liu's life a whole lot more easier, really. After all, the minute he'd seen Lien (he was sure that was his name), he'd felt a calm vibe coming off the other kid. If there was one thing Liu needed in his life, it was someone to calm him down. Perpetually.

After that, Liu decided he'd found something good in this group. When Lien suggested that they move into the actual Academy, he shrugged, following behind the other boy. Finding himself in a real group - this was exciting. He was going to stay with them, if they didn't mind. Seeing as he really needed to get a life, and maybe these guys (and one lady) could help him.

It was difficult for Amane to want to stay with the group. He preferred smaller numbers, because it was easier to maintain the balance. Liu, however, would clearly be good for balancing Amane's intense desire for calm, and Lien, he doubted, would do anything to really disturb that peace and harmony. "That is what I meant by third member, yes," Amane answered. It would be fine, learning how the school worked accompanied by these two very different boys. However, since many others had joined since Liu asked that, Amane was no longer sure what to do. Once Liu had agreed to go inside, Amane didn't hesitate. He retreated further into the halls, looking in earnest for whatever this cooking class could be. He hadn't meant to leave the others behind, but if they didn't move soon, Amane would become increasingly more distressed at their getting in the way. It didn't make sense to move as one giant group, either, really; Amane sincerely doubted that they all had the same cooking class. He sighed and stared down the hall, at the people. Was class starting soon? It seemed like there were fewer people in the halls, but it might have just been a sign he was getting used to the sheer volume of people at the academy.

Amane almost laughed at himself; it wasn't so much getting used to as unfocusing. It was like unfocusing his attention so that all he saw was his own personal space, his body, moving through the halls. That was how he kept calm in any size of crowd. As he approached the others, he would simply slide around them, dart, dodge, weave. It was so simple, so pleasant. He wished he was taking a dancing class instead of a cooking one, though he'd like to prepare more than the most basic dishes. Fighting or dancing; they would be the same to Amane.

Without realizing it, he had separated himself from the main group. Not far away, he realized, as he looked behind them and could still make out Lien a little ways down the hall. Too far to call out to, too near to worry about losing sight of him. He also spotted the frenzied boy, the one who had tripped and gotten up again just as fast, apologized and left. It was hard not to spot him, with his interesting almost seafoam, or teal, coloured hair; so different to his own. What was he doing? Maybe he knew where the cooking class might be, though he seemed in a hurry. Amane figured he may as well ask while he waited for the others to draw a little nearer. "Excuse me?... You tripped next to me a little while ago, but it seems like you're fine, though perhaps over excited about something or the other. You wouldn't happen to know where a cooking class might be held, would you?...I find myself a little lost."

Ah, now this whole group bit was getting to be a bit too much for Liu. He liked the original group - the one with Amane and Lien, because they seemed to have already started including him as their 'third member'. Closing his eyes, Liu breathed: in and out, deep and steady. It was a technique his grandfather had taught him when he was young - perhaps to let him learn something new ... or perhaps it had just been another way to get Liu to shut up.

When he opened his eyes again, Amane had disappeared. Spinning around suddenly from his spot at Lien's side, he cast his sharp eyes over the corridors before finally spotting the other boy. Amane had wandered off by himself, and somehow, considering the other boy's nature, Liu wasn't surprised in the least. But either way, there was one thing that Liu wanted to make sure of. Amane had become a dear friend of his in a short time, and Liu was eager to keep that friendship alive and kicking.

With a light touch to Lien's sleeve, he almost considered dragging the other boy with him - that is, before deciding the action would be too familiar and likely unwanted. Liu hoped the light touch would suffice as he sped over to Amane, who was now talking with a blue haired boy about cooking classes. He blew out his cheeks absent-mindedly, standing next to the taller boy. After all, Liu was bored, and that was what had compelled him to stray away next to Amane instead.

Pleased to have a name to call their clumsiest member besides 'floor rubbing, apologizing boy', Lien nodded at him and replied, "I am Nguyen Lien. I'm glad you're okay, please be more mindful." Lien dispensed advice like his mother at times, and it was often as blunt as it was unwanted. However, if the new boy kept falling over, Lien would hav plenty of worrying to do, and he found it was better to try to prevent a problem than fix it after the fact. He let a slight smile on his face when he found out they had the same class, and replied, "I'm relieved to hear it." As for the rest of his classes, the West Farmlands boy candidly replied, "When cooking class is over, I will tell you. If we don't have the same class, it's better to wait and find out." He was pleased to have one class with a member of his group, especially the one that reminded him of Hue (though the prospect of having a cooking class with Hue sounded dangerous and nerve wracking). He would rather not know the time they had to separate so he could enjoy himself rather than worry about parting with his new friends (or family, or ducklings, whichever was the most apt descriptor).

Suddenly, Amane moved ahead, and before Lien knew it, his group was splitting up. Having already come to feel somewhat proprietary of them all, he bit his lip, looking first at Amane, and then back. He had told Amane they should stick together, and he intended that they stick together. However, what about all the others? He couldn't just follow Amane and leave them, that wasn't the responsible course of action.

Floor-rubbing- no, Liu, made the choice for Lien by touching his sleeve. Amane being new, and Liu being reminiscent of Lien's little sister, he figured they needed more looking after than the other two. If he didn't go with them, they'd have to look after each other, and Lien wasn't about to let that happen when he could accompany both of them. Bowing his head at the two who were newest to their group and hoping they would follow anyway, he made long strides across the hallway to catch up. Amane was already addressing the second boy who had fallen into them, and Lien approved of the idea. Standing next to Amane, he added, "We," to his statement about being lost. He glanced at the other new boy as if to let him know they were still a group whether Amane went ahead or not. Lien had told Amane they would stick together, and he wasn't about to break his word if he could help it.

Liu and Lien caught up to Amane, and he turned and gave them one true smile. It happened so fast it would be easy to assume they had hallucinated it. It didn't take a lot to make Amane smile, but they were rare; he only offered them, true smiles, when he appreciated something that had happened. He appreciated that they had followed him, he appreciated having new friends; they could be friends, could they not? Amane was willing to give it a shot. "I could not be more pleased to see you both," Amane began, his eyes still warm from the aftereffect of the smile, which dropped away when he finished his train of thought, "And my apologies for the way I simply left you both standing there. I do not know what overcame me, exactly. I did not realize I was getting so far away, just that I needed to move in." Amane shook his head at himself. Perhaps he was absent-minded today.

In any case, Amane liked the number three, but he could be persuaded to like just about any number, so long as he could see the balance in it. Having Liu and Lien beside him, Amane felt comfortable, as if he would be the fulcrum between the boys. It would be easy, pleasant, without conflict. Amane rested a hand first on Lien's shoulder, then on Liu's shoulder, just briefly. He looked between them both. His expression, if they could read it, was one of contentment, peace, hope. Hope for the day and his tutelage at the Academy; peace of mind and of heart, being with these new friends and meeting more still; contentment for the company he found himself in, knowing that even if they didn't always seek him out, he would go back to them. Amane wasn't always there, but he'd always be back; he hoped they could believe that of him.

Perhaps, though, if Liu was as scattered and chaotic as he initially seemed, it would be Lien that had to serve as the middle point between Amane and Liu. The idea that someone else would have to balance the situation nearly made him laugh, but that amusement didn't quite reach his face.

Books in hand, Shin-mu made her way up the path towards the academy. No longer in awe of the place, no longer filled with barely contained excitement towards the lessons to be taught inside. No, her feelings towards the academy had changed since she'd begun attending it. She still appreciated the lessons learned, soaking up the shared knowledge like a hungry sponge, but she now knew that the melting pot of students was not the academic oasis she'd originally hoped it to be. It'd been a sad realization, but she'd accepted it the disappointment and moved on.

A soft sigh lifted her chest as she mounted the stairs leading to the double doors, mind wandering elsewhere before a bit of a traffic jam bared her entrance. A knot of people gathered just beyond the doors, though it seemed they were beginning to move by the time Shin slowed to a stop at the rear of the group.

Pale brows knitting above green eyes, the dark luniarian looked over the gathered students. There were a few people Shin knew on sight, but there seemed to be a good number unfamiliar faces. Faces she didn't really care to interact with, in all honesty. Not that she assumed she wouldn't get along with them, but her own natural reservations with others was hard to overcome, and with there being so many new lunarians, it seemed a time to be reaching out.

A flood of unpredictable conversation would not have been desired. So Shin kept her tongue and quietly waited for the group to continue on their way down the academy hall. She wasn't exactly in a rush herself, so she felt no need to hurry them on.

Another day, but this one was very much unlike his previous ones. A new start, sure to be full of lessons that would help to lead him forward. He moved, step by step, he moved, hearing nothing but the sound of his footsteps though the hallway he walked through was full of people and the different tones of voices echoing about the walls. He stopped and then moved against one of the walls of the Academy he had come to in search of greater things...and knowledge. Unlike so many other students, he didn't wear a smile on his face, his eyes darting across the room. There were...so many of them and while he should have expected so, he was still a little surprised, and unsure.

Toshiro took a deep breath, a sigh escaping him to release the air he had taken in just moments before. With a gently shaking of his head, he moved away from the wall of the hallway, walking slowly through the crowd. He found himself speeding up to get through, turning diagonally and even squeezing by a couple, coming to yet another stop. He noticed a group of three standing by themselves, but didn't give it much thought as he looked around. "Where to go, where to go...." he whispered as he looked down to his sleeve as he reached into it and pulled out a piece of paper. Scanning it quickly, he sighed once more as he continued walking, taking a quick glance at the group and their faces before turning to face the direction he was walking in before stopping yet again to lean against a wall. He stared at the ceiling.

"Where do i go now?" he whispered as he looked amongst the walls and occasionally looked down and glanced around at those nearby.

Veryuu felt a thing apart from the hubbub and commotion that was the thriving student body here at the Academy. A new arrival, a freshly initiated student, it set him completely ill at ease, causing him to second-guess his own motivations in coming here. Whilst he clearly had something to prove to himself, perhaps this was not the stage upon which it should be enacted, one with such a teeming supporting cast. Frowning slightly as he attempted to fumble his way from one destination to the next, brushing aside those that had extended offers of help, he possessed an air of confidence that was utterly false, a quickly-brushed on paint of coat in order to seem well-equipped to any curious eyes.

However, by this point in the day, he was well and truly wandering, cast adrift in a sea of Lunarian bodies, and it was vexating him. Flicking fingers betwixt one another in private annoyance, the motions mostly hid beneath the comforting expanse of his clothing, the one truly familiar thing he had left to him, his bright eyes scanned back and forth through the crowd, seeking some safe harbor in this maelstrom of activity. It quite set him on edge, the lot of it, causing frost to creep into his gaze, an almost tangible aura as though the air about him had lowered in temperature to reflect the mood of the newcomer. Shoes clicking softly upon the floors, a sound that he alone could hear, let it be a tempo to rationalize his thoughts, counting them out as he sought his way in this strange and majestic place. A majesty that lost quite a bit of its splendor when filled with young, eager trainees.

Ah, there seemed to be a bubble of oddities coalescing in front of him, forming a group with some hope of seizing on intent. They, at the least, seemed to have some appearance of order, and appearances were the only thing that Veryuu was keen on accessing just now. Whether or not he arrived in a prompt fashion to all of his classes, well whilst that would garner the approval of his teachers, they were also quite likely to forgive one bumbling tadpole floundering amidst the lakewaters of the Academy. Just for one day, he could be exonerated for mistakes, so long as the peers that he had to suffer his training with did not think him maladroitly inclined within his new surroundings. And this seemed just the perfect opportunity to slip himself into a collection of youths seemingly less put-together than himself. That perfect contrast.

Making his way purposefully towards the little group of three, his flowing sleeve but brushed Shin-mu as he passed her, all unknowing. Utterly composed, he came to stand beside Jing Liu, choosing him as he seemed the least likely of the trio to point out the oddity. "Greetings..." He introduced himself, waiting for a brief pause within the flow of conversation, "...are the lot of you seeking out your classes?" It seemed a wise assumption to make, considering the circumstances, though he'd spent not even a moment observing them, much less taking the opportunity to eavesdrop on the gaggle of strangers.

A knot of nervousness settled in his gut, put completely out of his element by initiating conversation. He seemed an utterly placid creature on the surface, the only ripples in his emotions happening deep below where any passing individual would utterly miss the goings-on. However, he had to create connections, know whom he was dealing with, in order to succeed. Otherwise, he would flounder and sink amidst so very many watching eyes.

Liu wasn't particularly upset about Amane's leaving the group - and it was nice that Lien had followed, because they did belong together. And despite the sad amount of information he knew about friendship, he was quite sure that they fit together. And besides, the smile Amane had given them was worth the stretch of road. Realizing suddenly, Liu remembered that he hadn't seen Amane smile before - that was something to treasure. Perhaps he shouldn't have spread out his smiles so easily, but it was a little late now to regret things like that. "That's okay~" he said, smiling again. "We did have to move on anyways."

When Amane placed his hands on both their shoulders, Liu swore he could feel warmth. It was a happy feeling - and perhaps this was what friendship felt like? Warm, happy ... something you never wanted to let go of. Liu was ecstatic, because this new feeling was just addicting.

He was only distracted from their own little group and the other tripping boy (such nostalgia) when another boy walked up to him, looking rather ... well, he looked rather neutral, really. Nothing uncommon, nothing interesting, nothing much worth noting. Either way, Liu was quite sure that this boy didn't have anyone to be friends with, and though he wasn't eager to add him to their trio, Liu was happy to make other friends. They would be so useful in the future~

"Helloo." Liu smiled cheerfully, dipping his head in greeting. Back home, he'd had to fully bow to his grandfather, but Liu was sure with children his age, he wouldn't have to use such formal ways. "Ah, are you new too? Yes, we are seeking out our classes. We are hoping, this boy over here might help us in our quest, you know~"

Blinking, Liu realized he didn't know the person's name. Or any of their names, besides Amane and Lien. Truthfully, he probably wouldn't need them, but Liu found it so much easier when there was a label to refer them as - not just a face, because Liu was bad with faces. "Ah~ what are both your names? I don't think I caught them, I'm sorry ..." he said, referring to both the new boys they had encountered. Liu was starting to realize that he did have some sort of aptitude for social interaction, really - he just needed to find it. God, spending years with his old, hermit of a grandfather had left him believing he couldn't make friends. Stupid old man. At least the guy had taught him how to greet someone. He'd never thought that would come in handy.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:25 pm

Lien nodded and returned Amane's smile. "We followed, it's fine," he replied simply, and allowed Amane to rest his hand on Lien's shoulder. This was what made Lien happy, having people to be there for and have be there for him. His family was far away, farther than they had ever been from him in his life, but if he had a group, then he would be fine. They weren't real family, not even close, considering how little he knew them, but he was willing to work on it. As with all things, Lien had enormous reserves of patience for building relationships, and a strong urge to have people around to look after.

Possessed of a keener eye for others than usual in this new school, Lien's gaze drifted from his friends for a moment to rest on someone else who seemed to be wallowing in the shallow waters of uncertainty. Looking back at his group and then over at the other boy, he held up a hand and said, "Wait." From where he was standing, he nodded to the boy and asked, "Can I help?" The wall-boy (apparently, this was how Lien was going to label everyone he didn't know) looked worried, and it had been Lien's job to listen to his little and older sisters' worries since he learned to nod his head. He hoped that the rest of the group wouldn't mind, but not offering assistance would just make him itch.

Of course, if it was a question about the city or school, he would have absolutely no idea. However, it never hurt to check, and if he couldn't help, the worst that would happen was that he would have to admit ignorance. Not a terrible thing, as Lien neither prized his intellect, nor held a high opinion of his own abilities.

Before he could get a reply though, yet another boy came to greet them. The trio had now had three other strangers approach them directly, which was quite a large number to Lien. Back in the village, everyone knew everyone, at least from sight, if nothing else, and visitors, though not unheard of, were rare. The constant introductions and meetings were beginning to exhaust Lien, but he dealt with it by enduring, like he always did. Anyway, this newest boy appeared to only have business with Liu. Lien was accustomed to other people doing the talking for him, and this meant that he could take a break from all the new faces for now, so he gladly let Liu answer.

His break ended abruptly, however, when Liu initiated introductions. Nodding his head to both of the strangers (and, in passing, the wall-boy), he offered, "I am Nguyen Lien."

While attempting to flee the scene of his failed maneuvering, Cais heard a muffled apology while the group which had blocked his entrance parted slightly, moving deeper into the main hallway of the Academy. Sadly it was lost on his busy demeanor. Impatience was gnawing at the back of his head but he turned at the question, blinking a little at the sheer number of new students who had seemed to gather behind him. He recognized a few bystanders (though he failed to register their names in his head), but other than that it was apparent that a recent enrollment had buffed the numbers of the school.

"Cooking would be in that direction." Cais said with a finger pointed towards the left. "The smell is un-deniable there, I'm sure you can find it with little effort." He had not meant to come off rude, but he was in a frenzied state still trying to make his way to his own class. Though, at this point he was unsure if any of them had actually heard him over their own conversations. Truly he was not meant for public speaking, but that much he had previously been aware of.

Observing them buzz wildly he grew curious over their conversation but remained stubbornly put, slowly pulling his hand back down from pointing. Why were there so many? How had he not seen any of them through various trips into the city? It was perplexing, but held his attention - even when it came to finding somewhere to rest his body before his mind went to work arduously keeping an attentive channel open for his lessons. Now it was set on something else and his eyes remained glued to the group.

Whilst the others might have relished a few fond memories from home, a handful of choice memoirs that they had brought with them from home, his origins were the last thing that Veryuu was trying to entertain within the realm of his mind. And the fact that this entire group of chittery students seemed so very cheery only served to further annoy the youthful noble, a slight frown tugging the edges of his lips southwards as he focused his attention in on Liu. The boy was trying to be nice, and he had to remind himself of that as he batted his thought processes back to the here and now where they were supposed to abide. Listening half-heartedly as there was some mention of asking the bumbling, tripping passerby for directions, he snorted softly, his personal declaration of the folly in trusting any sort of real directional guidance that came from the mouth of someone whose relationship with gravity was less than stellar.

But damn him, this particular fellow was so perky, and polite in a way that Veryuu instantly knew spoke of a good raising. That, at least, he could respect if naught else. Slowly nodding, returning the greeting in kind, the aloof male finally saw fit to give his name out to this new acquaintance and any of the others whose ear might be so inclined as to pay heed to one rudely intrusive stranger. "I am Veryuu Lian-Hyun . And as it would seem, I am pursuing the same purpose." It did not need to be said that he wished to accompany them, his very presence spoke of that. However, it meant that, should they not oust him from their group immediately, he did owe them some modicum of respect. Tedious, but necessary. It was times liked this where he missed lurking in the shadow of his far more boisterous brother.

Hnn. And imagine that...the other boy had just collected his name without the decency to return the favor, something that caused Veryuu's nails to pick at the embroidery about his sleeve. "And you are...?" That should remedy the unbalanced scenario, short and to the point, and yet with that certain, elegant veneer of formality that the young noble so adored. Had he known, he might have been amused that the aspects that Liu resented should be those which Veryuu himself particularly savored.

Ah, it seemed that the one soliciting directions, though otherwise he had failed to address the newcomers directly, at least had his wits about him enough to make introductions. "Nguyen Lien." Trying the name out on his tongue, even if only to ensure that he was pronouncing it correctly as he saved it to memory, the moment branded the other teen within his mind as an individual to approach later, get to know in a less harried setting. "A pleasure." Now if only he could cease this picking up of stragglers, as it was a process that the budding new interactions had stymied.

Well then, he'd been mistaken, it did seem as though the gravity-challenged one knew where he was going. Congratulations, youngling, you know how to use basic logic. Now that he'd considered the blindingly obvious solution handed to them by Cais, Veryuu rather wondered why he himself hadn't seized upon it. Shifting from one foot to another, he scanned the passel of Lunarians that had haphazardly formed within the narrowed walls of the hallway. "Now then..." He muttered, with just enough volume for any being paying half an ounce of attention to catch the words, "The fellow has indicated we should journey to the left in pursuit of our destination...shall we adjourn?"

Time and time again it had been proven that the merest nudge could get things started, and opinions could cement the place of any newcomer into such a budding circle of acquaintances such as the ones currently floundering in his presence. Ah, youth...his father really did have a point in his rants directed at the trivialities of Veryuu's generation. Not that he'd ever admit it to the revered head of his family, that was one avalanche several decades in the making that he needn't be throwing pebbles at.

It was difficult to motivate himself to speak. Amane was falling deeper and deeper into one of his moods, where he just felt like it wasn't worth it to communicate. That was why he waited and remained silent, while the new person addressed them, asked them if they were looking for their classes. Amane had let his hands slip from his friends' shoulders, clasped them behind himself. He planted his feet as if he expected someone to try and bowl him over. It was a stance not intended for aggression, but dually as a way of making sure no one took up his space, and safe-guarding himself from any more clumsy students. After both Liu and Lien had introduced themselves, he answered, "Amane. That is my name," and fell silent again, focusing on the group.

"Thank you for the sage advice... May I ask what your name is, so that I can thank you properly?" Amane addressed Cais, tilting his head to the side. Of course, he hadn't pictured real cooking in the class, for some reason. He had half expected a more practical course, where all the learning was out of books and writing. Not hands-on experience. He now realized that was probably a silly assumption.

"Veryuu Lian-Hyun," Amane said it like it was a complete thought and nodded his head in acknowledgement. He found the abrupt way that Lian-Hyun asked for a name kind of rude, especially since the sentence was not even complete. So he returned the slight, though it was unintentional.

"Adjourn? What a strange choice of vocabulary, Veryuu Lian-Hyun. I suppose we may as well head towards the hallway which was indicated to us." Amane nodded his head in the direction. He didn't take a step this time, but shifted his body to indicate he wished to be going. He wouldn't leave Liu and Lien again, and was still waiting on Cais' name.

Too many people. Too many people. Liu was becoming confused to the point where confused wasn't even the right word. He tried to keep track of the everyone, but it was a hard task within itself. In any case, where Liu had come from, a house right beyond the borders of the Imperial City, there had only been his grandfather and his grandfather's old friends who stopped by every once in a while; the old man liked isolation, and had somehow dragged both Liu and his mother into the same situation. Amane was tired, having withdrawn his hands from their shoulders. In fact, he looked to be getting gloomier and gloomier every second, and Liu didn't want that to happen. Grinning widely, Liu leaped in between Lien and Amane and slung his arms over both their shoulders, giving them a slight squeeze. Perhaps it would convey his feelings and Liu hoped that perhaps it would make Amane happier than he was at the moment (though truthfully, he was much too short for this ...) Liu could see quite well that even Lien - calm, composed Lien - was getting tired of the introductions, and personally, he would have rather walked away and found a corner to sit in with his new friends. As would have it, the Academy was apparently an excuse for socializing, and he figured he would have to live with it.

Blinking, Liu realized he hadn't introduced himself (god, did seeing new people make him an idiot or something? Really ...) It was time for introductions then - sigh.

"Ah, sorry then~ my name is Jing Liu." This Veryuu seemed to have started to act rather ... well. High and mighty. Like he didn't really belong with them and he could look down on them - and well, if that was the case, Jing Liu could not care too much about him. He found people like that to be distasteful, people who had a twisted idea within their minds that they were more than everyone else. Liu did not agree in the least - everyone was the same; it was the things that you did that would define a person in the end. And yet, Veryuu did seem to have an elegant way of speaking though, different from Liu's unique accent - it made the other boy sound regal, more refined.

Turning away and taking his hands off their shoulders (another squeeze), he noticed Lien look another way - towards yet another boy (whom Liu hadn't even seen, he'd been sort of invisible, really, sticking to the wall like that) Liu smiled cheerfully and waved in a small gesture of kindness. Lien seemed more built for comforting others, and Liu ... wasn't. He could be a bit fast for others at times, from the way he thought to the way he acted. Once again, things were moving too quickly. It was hard to think so quickly - Liu preferred to focus on one thing, and focus on it with 102% of his brain; perhaps this was training for the future. Multitasking. Ew.

Finally, after regaining his thoughts again (breathe in, breathe out), Liu turned his eyes to the original reason why they had gathered here. To question the cerulean haired boy. Apparently he hadn't wanted to disclose his name and was in quite a hurry, so Liu decided not to rush him, deciding instead just to listen to what he said.

"Ah, thanks for the information~! You're in a hurry, but could I ask what class you have now?" Liu was eager to know what other classes this strange 'Academy' had, seeing as he had taken but a glance at his schedule. Besides, they were all talking about 'adjourning' in some other venue, and perhaps that meant they would have to move again. Liu didn't want to, but he smiled easily and just decided to go wherever they were going to go. He was confused - in someone else's territory at the moment, and that didn't give him much of a choice.

The boy that had addressed Liu seemed polite enough. Though he was taking over the group a bit, Lien was used to letting other people lead him, and therefore, thought nothing of it. However, Amane seemed to be falling into a mood again, though not as much as he had with the loud boy from before. Lien fell silent for a moment and thought about the situation, but Amane seemed ready to move anyway, so Lien opted to follow. If trouble arose, he could deal with it no matter which part of the school they were in, so it didn't really make a difference to him one way or another. Nodding obediently, he got ready to move, only pausing to look back at wall-boy. He hadn't answered yet, but the group came first, and if the boy didn't answer soon, Lien would just have to assume that he could find help elsewhere. It wasn't the nicest way to look at the situation perhaps, but Lien's parents had taught him to prioritize. The family came before everything else, and if the family happened to be miles and miles away, then whoever he had collected into a vaguely family-like entity would have to come first. It was more than just blind obedience, in having his group, Lien was trying to make a niche for himself to belong in the Academy. Without belonging, Lien was lost, so he needed a group far more than any group needed him.

When Liu tried to wrap his arms around their shoulders, Lien leaned down to make it easier. He was a tall boy in a family full of short siblings, so he was used to accommodating height differences. He reminded himself that Liu was there, however. He didn't want to straighten out suddenly and make their clumsier companion fall over again. Once was plenty in Lien's opinion, and if there was a second time and it was his fault, that would be a terrible dereliction of duty on his behalf.

He then regarded the second boy that had tripped into their party. He still didn't know his name, but he seemed like he would be in too much of a hurry to answer. Still, Liu wanted to know, so Lien would hope that the other boy had the time. In an ill-conceived attempt to help matters, perhaps, Lien fixed the rushing boy with an expectant stare and waited for him to reply.
