With the syringe roughly jammed into his arm, Blade let out another cry of pain. Under his breath, he cursed at the man and watched as he was left alone in the cold room. With the guy gone, he struggled against his restraints, trying to figure out a way to break free. It was useless trying to break the restraints, especially with his strength not all there. He began to wonder if he would end up bleeding out on the table... which may not necessarily be a bad thing. The thief already somewhat determined that he may have died on the road and was now in hell.
Closing his eyes, he tried to think. The guy just took some of his blood.. most likely to analyse it. There would be no hiding his heritage then. He couldn't actually see any of the things that kept him tethered to the table. They felt like metal... which meant there had to be something somewhere to open them. If he was lucky there'd be somewhat of a keyhole on them that he could pick. If not, he'd have to try and find a way to get someone else to release him...
But then, even if he managed to get off the table and out of the room, he still needed to get out of wherever he was. As he recalled it was freezing outside too. Between that and his wound, the chances of him escaping alive seemed rather slim..

It seemed like Suto was only gone a few minutes before he returned. A beep at the door signified his entrance as he pushed the door open and carried in a heavy bag. With both hands he lifted the bag with difficulty onto a rolling table. Once that was done and he was satisfied he had everything, he opened the bag and began to rummage. For the time being he ignored the boy focused on his work as he pulled out what looked like foam blocks with vials set in them, liquids ranging in all different colors. He set them on the counters sure to arrange them in a way that pleased him before he started to pull instruments from his bag and not the kind you make music with.
The supplies in the room had been limited so Suto had changed that. One after the other he pulled out something medical that would no doubt be used to cause pain and not actually help to heal. Scalpels of all different sizes and types, hemostats, acupuncture needles, scissors and clamps. Once he was done arranging everything the way he liked he turned back to Blade and looked at the wound on his side. "Well, it doesn't appear as if you have any regenerative capabilities. Its a shame really. I'll have to approach this with a more delicate touch."
Looking through his supplies that was still in the bag Suto finally found what he needed. Producing a large round curve needle, some pliers, and thread, Suto made his way back to Blade's side and continued their conversation as he threaded the eye of his needle. "So tell me of some of the abilities you have. From your personality I can wager a guess to the element you favor."

Hearing the door open, Blade gritted his teeth as Suto reappeared with a fairly large bag. He watched the guy with a sense of apprehension, unsure of what was going to happen to him. When he finally found a needle and thread, the thief could only assume he meant to stitch up the wound.
Instead of answering the man, he simply replied with some questions.
"What the hell do you want with me?" he asked lowly. He sounded relatively calm with a hint of anger within his tone, "And where are the others?"

Focused on his task Suto didn't seem to give the boy's question much thought but he was in a sharing mood. "There were two woman brought with you. Mitsu and one other. I have something special planned for them, I do enjoy having female experiments. They are generally so much more compliant among other things." He smiled as he successfully pulled the thread through the needle and went to work. He dug the needle deep into the muscle without much warning and started to curve it back. Once the tip popped through the skin he used the pliers to pull it through and started again. "As for what I want with you, its simple really. I don't have too many untainted experiments left." He plunged the needle in a third time as he spoke but realized he had gone too far as he had hooked a rib with the needle. Pulling the instrument out he tried again.
"With your interesting blood type I have something I want to try. If your results come back that you are truly of the dragon's kin, which I suspect you are, I have a special serum I want to try. I had made it as more of a weapon you see though I'm not entirely sure how it will work out. I had made it specifically for the dragon race and as you can guess they are a little rare. But they are so keen to white magic and holy objects I thought, why not use that against them? So I created something from the components of demon blood extracting their weaknesses to holy objects and white magic. In theory it should splice into your system giving you that weakness. It was really an artful way for me to watch the dragon race rid the world of themselves." At the end of his long explanation Suto was nearly done with his work. He had only one more loop of thread to go before he pulled the string taught closing the wound completely and tying the thread off into a knot.

Tensing and hissing once again as the wound was getting stitched up, Blade listened to what the guy had to say. There were only two others? He could have sworn there were more... but the fact that Mitsu and one other (was it Hitsu? Or maybe Riyo?) were around waiting for this guy to do whatever was a bit unsettling to him. If by some chance he managed to break out, he'd have to try and seek them out.
"You better not hurt them..."
A wince escaped him when the needle went too far into his body. So this guy had some grudge against the dragons it seemed. Why that was, he had no idea but he supposed it didn't matter a whole lot. Not to mention this all meant that once again his draconic heritage has brought him trouble.
"Why bother?" he growled while staring at the scientist. The thief took note of how close the guy was standing as he worked to close the cut. The man wanted to know at first, what his abilities were, so he reached out with his fingers to touch his labcoat and began to concentrate. It took more effort than it normally would but soon enough, some flames sparked out to try and set the man on fire.

In the midst of his work, Blade had asked another question. Wasn't he the one who was supposed to be asking questions? Oh well, might as well humor the boy. "I'm under contract to do so." Suto said simply. "I don't necessarily favor the dragons myself, they like to give and then take back what they have given. They are manipulative creatures that would do well to know when its time to just go extinct."
Finishing up his work Suto hardly noticed Blade grazing a finger along his sleeve. A spark flared into a small flame but the cold room made it more difficult for the fire to spread quickly. However, his lab coat wasn't flame retardant and the fire started to spread up his arm. Standing calmly to his feet Suto merely let his lab coat slide off his shoulders to the floor. The fabric was heavy enough that it seemed to somewhat smother the flame as the coat bunched up at his feet. "Well you are becoming difficult." Suto checked the sleeve to his shirt and saw that it too was a little singed, luckily his coat was thick enough to prevent his skin from being burned.
With a sigh he moved back toward the counter and picked up a few acupuncture needles. "Let me see if I remember correctly." He seemed to be talking to himself as he moved back toward Blade, twirling the needles in his hand. "Dark magic users rely on the liver, white is heart and hands....Ah yes!" A wide grin over took his face as he looked down at Blade. "Fire users rely on the stomach and lungs. A pity..those really hurt." Without much more explanation Suto jabbed a needle down toward Blade's left lung. It would be enough to injure, maybe make the boy short of breath, but nothing fatal. Not just yet. It would also make his magic much harder to use.

Manipulative? The dragons he had met were not all that manipulative by any means. Sure they generally didn't take to outsiders too well but with people like this guy who believed they should go extinct, who could blame them?
After he had set the coat on fire, his vision blurred and he felt more fatigued. Normally something like that would be nothing for him, but circumstances made it rather taxing on his body. He was rather surprised that the man took to being set on fire quite calmly.
Then, without much warning he had a needle stabbed into his chest. Gasping in pain as that happened, he found breathing to be considerably more painful with a needle in his lung. He was fairly well aware of what fire relied on and knew that if he tried to do anything like that again with the needle there he may end up overexerting himself.
"D-damn you.."

Damn you
And in went the second needle, this one hitting the top most part of the stomach. The third Suto decided he would save for later if it called for it. The flow of energy through the body wasn't too complicated to understand, the only thing he couldn't process was how this energy flow transferred into magic. Despite that he knew how to block and corrupt the flow fairly well with his needles.
"Now where was I?" Spinning the needle in his hand idly he gave it some thought. Luckily a knock at the door seemed to bring everything back into perspective. "Ah." To the door he went opening it eagerly to find a tech there with paperwork in hand. Snatching the papers Suto all but slammed the door in the tech's face as he concentrated over the numbers.

As if to add insult to injury, another needle was thrusted into his gut. Once again, he was having a rather difficult time breathing, even moreso now that his stomach had taken a hit. Closing his eyes, he tried to block out the pain but it wasn't easy to do by any means.
While his eyes were closed, he heard the door open, slam, and the rustling of some papers. He could only guess what those papers were exactly. Slowly, he opened his eyes once again to glance over where Suto stood.
It was starting to feel very cold for him, so he was having trouble with not shivering.

"Hmm, very interesting indeed." Suto smiled as he flipped to another page, his eyes easily forming the zeros and ones into sentences and data. "Black Dragon, they were rather rare as far as dragons go even before they became rare in general." He paused as he thought a moment. "If I recall correctly there were only a few that had children." Suto seemed to think deeper willing the memory to the surface. "I seem to recall names like Rykaros, Thorntail, Lisstherin, Darkstar, and Faryn among the few to breed." Suto looked to Blade shortly to see if any of these names meant anything. The state the boy was in didn't seem to worry him. A little cold wouldn't kill him...at least not right away.

Blade's blood chilled as Suto deciphered whatever was in the papers. In a relatively short amount of time, he had managed to narrow down his dragon ancestor. To the best of his ability, he tried to minimalize his reaction. However, his eyes twitched very lightly as the names were called out.
He probably would have said something, but the amount of pain in his torso made it tough enough to breathe without him wasting his breath trying to speak to this guy. His throat was feeling rather dry now as well, making him thirsty.

There was that smile again, always eager to surface when Suto knew he was correct. Setting the papers aside Suto went to the vials sitting on the counter. One by one he picked them up, examined them, and then placed them right back where he had gotten them. He did this a few times before he finally found what he was looking for. Holding the vial up to the light it was easy to see the liquid within. Dark black and silver swirled in the vial in constant motion as if dancing with one another but never willing to fully blend and merge. Tipping the vial this way and that Suto seemed to be in a state of awe at his own work.
Bringing the vial back down Suto pulled a syringe from his pocket, there seemed to be an endless supply of these things. In truth, his pocket was filled to the brim with them, he liked having something sharp on hand. Drawing the cork from the vial Suto drew some of the liquid up through the needle, the barrel of the syringe filling with the dark substance. Once it was full he took a careful step toward Blade, the liquid leaking down the syringe in a thick manner to drip onto the floor.
"And so it beginnings."

That smile... it made Blade want to rip it right off Suto's face. When he said nothing, the thief found himself feeling rather nervous once again as he didn't know what was to come. Sure earlier he had mentioned something about a serum to give him a demon's weakness... but who knew what else it would do? For all he knew it could do something completely different.
Adrenaline started to pump through his veins again, giving him somewhat of a second wind, as he saw the man approach with the full syringe.
"Get the hell away from me!" he managed to shout, though weakly. Once again, he started to struggle against the restraints that kept him down. However, his efforts weren't any more useful as his previous attempts. The movement just hurt too, so he wasn't able to keep it up for too long.

Suto said nothing to Blade as he knelt over an arm. The struggling didn't seem to slow him as he rolled up a sleeve. He wanted to see the horror and fear written on Blade's face, wanted to enjoy it and savory the memory. Ever so slowly he found a vein and it was then that he finally pressed needle to flesh, looking at Blade's face as he did. Forcing the tip of the needle passed the surface Suto quickly injected the contents to prevent the needle from breaking in a struggle. It had happened before and he was only disappointed as hard work splattered at his feet and on his clothes.
Withdrawing the syringe, Suto tossed it in the waste basket in the room. Still smiling he turned back to Blade. "I'll let you sit for a moment. Let it all settle in. I'll check back with you in about an hour." And with quick steps Suto took himself toward the door.

There was no horror written in Blade's expression, nor was it quite terror. There was apprehension yes, and he certainly did not want that syringe to be stuck into him, but he was beginning to feel more angry than anything. This guy not only had strapped him down in a cold room, but believed he could do whatever he wanted with the thief. He felt trapped, and he hated that feeling.
As the needle plunged into his skin, he let out another howl of agony. It almost felt like acid had just been inserted; the area of the injection burned intensely and slowly it spread throughout his body as it coursed through his veins. All other pains were temporarily forgotten as he screamed at the top of his lungs. The young man thrashed and writhed on the table as the sensation slowly continued.
Unable to take it in his already weakened state, he soon fell limp as he passed out. If it weren't for the feeble, short breaths he took, he probably would have been mistaken for dead. His body also gave an occasional shudder as he laid there unconscious.
