Snarled when he ran at her teeth bared. She looked at him and tried to dodge out of the way, but she wasn't fast enough to avoid the speed his anger produced and a she bit back a yelp as he collided with her and she was thrown off balance. She rolled away and found her feet, spinning around she snarled as her jaws shut again on empty air. So this was it. She really was losing her touch. This was going to be a repeat of her last fight.

Icarus' wolf instincts told him to rejoice for landing such an effective first attack. Though his mind was trying to tell him to celebrate, he knew well-enough that Faiyrn appeared to be off her game today. He jumped to the side, avoiding her snapping jaws. "Faiyrn! Do not let your doubts consume you!" He snarled though clenched teeth. His muzzle was rippled with wrinkles as he raged at her.
Quickly, Icarus calmed himself. He realized his anger had consumed him. A growl crawled through him as he scolded himself mentally for losing his temper. As soon as he cooled his thoughts he paced towards her and said in a softer voice, "Sister, I'm telling you to face me with your all. Show me the true warrior!" He kept his voice commanding, using his Alpha tone to egg her on.
He crouched low and leaped towards the femme, hoping that his attack would bring out the warrior from within. The wolf before him was not the femme he had faced near the Spirit River weeks ago. He leaped at her and bore down upon the femme with his paws.

That little Egging was all it really took. Her blue eyes sparked and her doubts fled her mind. Her thoughts stilled and her mind grew blank. She snarled and her fur bristled, her tail rose and bristled to the tip, her hackles raised and her ears sprang forward. When he crouched and sprang into an aerial attack. She felt him deal damage to her from below but she steeled herself against the pain and her lips rose over her teeth and she snarled, digging her teeth into the loose skin of his back, attempting to twist him into a roll.

Icarus grinned, relieved for the moment when he watched the transition occur in Faiyrn's eyes. He could see the warrior now, raring to attack and going after him like he wanted. Still, he was now in a compromising position. He had known from the start that Faiyrn was a very powerful wolf, an opponent none to be trifled with. In fact, she was a Sure-Claw, and in his past experiences, Sure-Claws were not to be challenged. Yet, he was glad to have this rematch at last.
Faiyrn grabbed him by the loose skin, and as she predicted, he tried to roll. Icarus tossed his head backwards, trying to snap at the femme but for all his efforts, there was no reward. She easily slipped through his grasp. While Icarus was gratified that she was able to truly attack, he became quite away that he was now facing a very formidable opponent.

Faiyrn avoided his attack and when he rolled she followed him, digging her claws into his underbelly and scratching as she used him to push off and away. She felt the snarl rip from her as she flew over his head. She bared her teeth at the male and crouched low to the ground, walking in rotation once again waiting for him to regain his feet and attack.

Icarus cried out in pain as the soft skin of his underbelly was torn at. His body flinched as she pounced away from him and bared her teeth. In return he snarled and quickly rolled to the side, grateful for the chance to regain his footing. He rose to feet, shakily for a moment, but immediately he became strong again. Adrenaline coursed though his veins, pumping the pain away. Black lips rose over white teeth and he snarled at the female.
At last, they were on even footing. She had become the warrior he knew she was and he was able to rely on his training to attack. He used a quick method of attacking that Olek had taught him a few weeks back, and hoped that it would be as effective as it was back then.
Icarus ran side to side for a few steps and then suddenly charged straight towards Faiyrn. He moved faster than he thought he could previously and he launched himself at her. Icarus bore his teeth at her and pushed his paws against her, heaving his entire weight into the attack.

She snarled and bolted at him when he sprang straight at her. Her teeth bared and her ears back she made a grab for his shoulder. She felt him tear into her even as his paws pressed heavilly against her. She yanked back before releasing him and snapping at him with a growl and a yelp, digging her feet in and shoving against him, hoping to throw him off balance. She flung herself backwards and away, but not as fast as she'd have liked.

Icarus was gratified to find the slight metallic taste of blood that he received from his attack which worked surprisingly well. He made a mental note to remember to thank Olek for his training method later. Though he had not put so much force into the attack that the wound would last longer than a day nor be too painful.
He then felt her fangs pierce into his own shoulder. A cry ripped through him as he felt the wound open. As she yanked, to opened further, producing a roar from the bright wolf. Icarus resisted her attempts to push him away and snapped back at the wolf. He realized the ragged breaths of both wolves, they were tired and almost at their ends.
In a last burst of strength, Icarus launched himself at last to the female. A guttural sound emerged from him as he tried to tear at the female once more, blood starting to seep into the fur around his wound.

Felt the tear of another his and yelped when an old wound opened. She deserved it though. She grabbed hold of the scruff of his neck as she fell, bringing him with her. She twisted before they hit the ground so she landed heavily on him, panting hard. She was out of energy and she was done. "Okay, Okay, I'l do it. Just don't beat me up any more, you're too big and strong." she said playfully, tail thumping against the ground as she laid on the younger male, panting harshly. She looked down at him with a smile and gently licked at the wound she had dealt him. "That was a bit rougher than I meant to be." she said apologetically.

Icarus fell to earth with loud thud as he also reached his limit. A quick laugh escaped him as the female proved clever, "You're sneaky." He chuckled light-heartedly, lightly pawing at the face of Faiyrn. He hoped that Andragos wouldn't be too angry for this position, after all, Faiyrn was nothing more than a sister to him. "Can't wait to see the kind of pack you make." He was also panting heavily, trying to regain the energy he had spent.
"Glad to know we both went all out, then." He said, laughing once more.

Faiyrn smiled good naturedly. "It will be a pack lead with Heart, Strength and Understanding... there will always be Justice and we will always Celebrate the young." she said with a smile. "Of course, that's just the start... there's going to be a lot more to figure out. First I have to tell my Mate he's going to be an Alpha, and tell my Daughter that she is the child of Alphas..." she laughed, shaking her head as she imagined their faces. "I'm sure the turtle will have plenty to say as well." she added with a snort. "He's going to take some getting used to." she admitted with a chortle.
She shook her head and sighed. "We went all out, but it certainly took us a few tries, huh little brother?" she smiled and began licking at the wound on his shoulder, being sure to clean it so it wouldn't become infected. She wasn't particularly concerned with how they were laying, but she figured some might not appreciate it, so she moved to lay beside him so she could continue to groom the fur around the injury, freeing it of blood.

Icarus watched Faiyrn and listened carefully, glad to hear her plans. She had everything so well thought out. Clearly she had things planned before, she had just some fears to overcome. This thought brought a smile to his face. "Sounds like a strong pack, sister." He knew then and there that wolves of his pack would be well taken care of if the left to join Faiyrn's numbers.
He licked her face affectionately, thanking her for cleaning his wounds. He would return the gesture, but he had never been taught how. "I was waiting for your warriorness to finally kick in." He said with a laugh, then added, "After that, I almost got my hing kicked."
