First Time at Fourth Wall
(Katrina meets Akilah & Kurrin)

Kitara Kata
Kitara's reason for coming to town again had mostly been for diapers and milk, but she paused just about as she was going to pass The Fourth Wall. The pair of cat-like ears on the sides of her head gave a twitch. There were people inside...? Interesting. Crimson eyes looked down at the quiet puppy in the baby carrier. It wouldn't hurt, right? The diapers could wait and she still had a few spare diapers and such in her bag. "Looks like it's time to meet some of your buddies." With a swift turn of her boot, she walked to the door and opened it. "'Ello 'ello!" She gave a cat-like grin, tail swaying behind her.

nozomi_ga_kanau
Akilah wilted under the not too happy look given to him by the older child, shrill voice whining slightly, arms waving a bit. "Friiiiine~" He huffed, still gnawing lightly at his tail. "Friii--fwoosh?"

Blinkage commenced and the new arrivals got his attention, small round 'weasel' body wriggling. "Woosh~"

Patrick sighed, rubbing his temples lightly. "Sorry, folks, he's kinda psych--"

"FWOOSH."

"Yes, yes, fwoosh." Eyes fluttered to the girl with the baby carrier, smiling faintly. "And hello to visitor number four." The smile widened, eyes going to Kurrin for a moment.

"It's okay. He'll stop being poopy sometime. Right now he's very poopy - but he doesn't drool too much."

Sosiqui
"THAT drools," Kurrin said, turning to point at the new arrival, giving her a calculating look.

Kitara Kata
Kitara laughed at all the 'fwooshing' before closing the door behind her. "Seems like I decided to wander into town at the right moment." She walked over to a nearby chair and sat down, resting her bag down next to her and the baby carrier with Katrina inside in front of her. "Yes, she does drool. But all babies do." The necromancer gave the platypus child a fanged smile. "They can't help it."

Katrina had woken up the second they walked into this... very loud place. Her tiny muzzle scrunched up at the scents and sounds. It was too loud in here. Large brown eyes looked at the other tiny children. Well... they SMELLED okay. Her mouth opened, revealing very tiny canines. "Arrooowwwaaa..." She had yet to master any words of any kind yet, mostly just doggish sounds and grabby gestures.

nozomi_ga_kanau
Fangs?! EEEP! THe meerkat gave a screech, wriggling and flopping onto the floor, squealing and...being scooped up by a sighing Patrick. Once safe in the others arms, Akilah clawed his way up to his normal perch - straddling the backof his fathers head, clutching onto the thick mat of hair.

"EEE! Nononononononofwooosh!" He wailed, sharp nose pressing into Patricks hair. Patrick could just stand there and wince.

"Sweetheart, no, the fwoosh isn't going to--"

"...meep."

Sosiqui
Kurrin's eyes widened.

"TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEF! BIG TEEF SHE HAS BIG TEEF!" the platypus child wailed, scurrying to hide behind Sosiqui's legs. Kurrin wrapped her flat tail around her mum's ankle and peered out, glaring at Kitara with all her might. "No eat Kurrin! NO NO NO NO!"

Kitara Kata
Eyebrows raised as the two children started to screech. "Oh... I'm so sorry." Her ears drooped at the sides of her head, cat-like eyes looking between the two parents. She hated to scare children, it made her feel less human then she already was. She then looked at the meerkat and platypus. "Don't worry, I'm not going to eat you... if it makes you feel any better, I don't eat anything." Well... that was only partially true.

Katrina on the other hand just drew back into her blanket, ears pressing against her tiny skull. Those things were LOUD.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Don't mind Akilah.." Patricks voice is quiet, a little sigh, reaching up to rub the meerkats back gently. "He's still a baby and anything with teeth sends him skittering. Especially bigger things then him."

The dark man smiled placidly, less weird then he normally was despite the multiple facial piercings due to a lesser amount of sleep, glancing between the two newer ladies. "I'm Patrick. It's nice to meet you."

Sosiqui
"Can't eat NUTHIN," Kurrin accused, but Sosiqui crouched down to shush her.

"There's lots of kinds of people in the world. Be nice. She wouldn't have a baby if she was going to EAT babies, would she?"

Kurrin considered this logic, then frowned. "Guess... no?"

"Good guess."

The platypus peered around her guardian. "Sorry," she mumbled.

Kitara Kata
"Ah, I see..." The reaper nodded, though it didn't really make her feel much better. Children screaming at her was enough of a common occurance and something she could never get used too since she loved them so much. "My name is Kitara, nice to meet you two as well." She gave a nod of her head in greeting. "And this is Katrina." A gloved hand gestured down to the confused looking baby before crimson eyes looked back over to Kurrin. "It's okay, your not the first to have screamed at my apperance." Even though it was a rather negative sentence, she said it in a positive voice to keep the little one from being frightened.

The puppy was making tiny rumbling and yelping sounds as she wiggled in her carrier. What was all the screaming for?

nozomi_ga_kanau
"I know the feeling," Patrick assured her, glancing at Kurrin with a faint grin, still petting AKilahs back gently.

The meerkat was fairly melting against his fingers, flopped limp against hte back of his fathers skull, fingers flexing gently in the thick hair. His eyes were closed contentedly and his tail curled happily.

"Katrina's awfully new, isn't she?" he took a step over, peeking in curiously - the smile broke into a wider expression, "And a puppy~ How adorable. Platypi, puppies, meerkats and fierce non-babies all in one room. It's a treat."

Sosiqui
"Babies boring," Kurrin decided abruptly, frowning. "Where Arun go? Aruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun?"

But the little bat-child was nowhere to be seen for now, and Kurrin's frown deepened into a scowl. "I BIG girl," she insisted. "Better than babies."

"When did you get so high-and-mighty?" Sosiqui hissed at her. "Be polite! I know you know how!" It was a bad idea to bring her here after a shopping trip - clearly, all the platypus's patience had already drained out.

"Got high when I grew. High high up! Tall!" She stood on her tiptoes again, then glanced at the babies once more. "Taller than BABIES."

Kitara Kata
Kitara nodded, reaching down to unstrap the pup from her confines as she whimpered. "Only received her about three days ago." She smiled, though kept her mouth closed this time to keep fangs hidden. "Yeah, though I gotta say I was kind of concerned... neither my sister or I are particularly fond of canines." Though she couldn't help but laugh a little at Kurrin, wondering how Katrina would think once she grew up.

Freedom! Katrina seemed to grin, reaching up with chubby hands as her mother scooped her up and sat her on her lap. The large pink collar was around her fat waist, tightened just enough so it didn't fall off. The little thing refused to go anywhere unless it was around her in some fashion. Turning, she looked up at Patrick with large eyes and reached out to him while making gurgles and whines.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Babies are only boring when you don't have to baby sit them," Patrick laughed quietly, one hand still distracted with its pettings of his little meerkat, peering at Kurrin curiously.

"Yes, you are a big girl. But they'll be big soon, though." he could've said something about liking his meerkat better - Akilah WAS his adopted sprogglet, after all - but he DID think the little girl was adorable. So nothing was said, patting Akilahs bum fondly before glancing back to Katrina, laughing at the soft gurgles.

"Yes, yes, baby, I'm big and colorful. You're tiny and dark." His voice softened into something of a 'baby voice', cooing at her affectionately before reaching ou, tickling her stomach gently, just above the little pink color. "You're adorable too, yes you are."

"Churrr..."

"See? Akilah agrees."

Sosiqui
"I be bigger soon too," Kurrin huffed indignantly.

Sosiqui winced. This wasn't going well - the toddler wasn't backing down, and her behavior was only getting worse. "I think... we'll go home for now, Kurrin, if you don't want to play with the babies," she said, firmly.

Kurrin frowned, then nodded. "Fine. Play ALONE with BIG-GIRL toys," she added, severely.

Her guardian sighed. "Sorry about that," she apologized. "She's had a long day... I'm sure she'll be nicer if I don't bring her after a day of shopping."

Kitara Kata
The demoness watched Katrina react happily, pale hands holding her sides gently to keep the pup from falling over. "It's alright, goodbye and it was nice meeting both of you." One of her hands let go of the baby just long enough to wave goodbye before going back down, making sure she didn't topple over.

"Arroarrrarr!" The mutt's tail wagged back and forth behind her, stubby legs kicking at the ticklishness. Whoever this person was, her was nice! And DEFINTALY got her approval. The other one though... nah-uh. Her head turned around to look at Kurrin. "ARRRAAARARR!" Though it wasn't very powerful, it was clear that Katrina didn't like all the yelling coming from whoever that... thingy was.

Kitara blinked, a little surprised at her daughter's newfound aggression. Frowning, she put a clawed finger by her muzzle and turned it so she couldn't face Kurrin anymore.

nozomi_ga_kanau

Akilah gave a sleepy sort of chirrup when his father moved, hugging closer to his head. The small furry body was quite limp and obviously just about to pass out - Patrick siiighed when he realized it, tickling the pup one more time.

"You're a mighty little girl, aren't you?" He cooed, taking a step back. "As mighty as you are, I still have to go.. Akilah is about to pass out and quiet time is a big deal at our house."

A faint smile towards the mother of the pup, head giving a small little nodding bow, reaching up to pry the small mammal off his head, cuddling him close with a soft laugh. "I'm sure we'll see you again."

Sosiqui
"I hope so," Sosiqui said gratefully, then bent to pick up Kurrin's discarded boots. "Come on, we're going home. Say goodbye."

"BYE," Kurrin yelled, then frumped and flopped on the floor. "Don't like boots."

"Put them on or walk with freezing feet."

Kurrin looked like she was goign to pitch a fit, then sulked and allowed her guardian to put the oddly shaped footwear over her webbed feet.

"Thanks. Sorry," Sosiqui repeated, then took Kurrin's hand and motored her out the door.

Kitara Kata
Kitara smiled at them, returning the nod to Patrick with her own. "Goodbye everyone." She waved a gloved hand, then looked down at Katrina.

Katrina grinned from ear to ear, giving Patrick a few grabby motions with her hands before watching him leave. Her tail immediantly drooped. Awww... where was he going?

"I supose we should be off too then." The hellspawn picked up the whimpering baby and wrapped her up warm enough before strapping her back into her carrier and swinging her bag over her shoulder. "This was a rather nice visit." She smiled, picking up the carrier before leaving as well.

The puppy squirmed as she was once again put into her carrier all too soon, reaching back towards the building as they left. She didn't wanna leave!

[Hush Little Baby...]

It was a horrible day outside. The wind was banging fiercely on the sides of the tiny log cabin and rain pelted it at all angles. Kitara sat on the windowsill, watching the rain come down hard.

"What a miserable day..." She sighed and turned, her crimson eyes glowing in the dim light of the house. Gareth walked up to her, rubbing his head into her palm.

"Mrrr..." He could tell when his caretaker was in a not so happy mood and didn't like it. Though despite how loud it was outside, he didn't seem to mind the rain.

The necromancer rubbed her hand along his head and behind his hears, twirling the dark grey strands of his hair in her clawed fingers. "Looks like were stuck inside today, n-" She was cut off as a large flash and BOOM came from outside. Not shortly afterward a shrill cry rang through the house.

Ears drawing back at all the confusion, she stood up quickly and ran into Katrina's bedroom. The tiny pup wailed at the top of her lungs. "Shhh... shhhh... it's okay." Kitara reached into the wooden crib, gently pulling the crying pup to her chest and patting her back.

Despite her attempts at consoling her, Katrina Von Tassel continued to cry out. Whatever was going outside was scary and unknown, something she didn't like at all. "WAAAAAAAAROOOOOOOOW!" Her mix of a child's sobbing and a dog's whimpering howl echoed through the once quiet house. Her body quaked and her tiny maw pressed itself into the crook of her mother's neck.

"It's alright... I'm here... shhhh..." The reaper bounced her up and down, rubbed her back, held her close, walked around with her, anything to help quell the sobbing. Though just as she got her to calm down another boom and flash would resonate from the outside and she would start up once more.

Gareth had long since taken up hiding behind the couch, ears drawn back against his skull at the crying.

Kitara sighed and walked into the kitchen, holding and bouncing the child with one arm while heating up a bottle with the other.

Finally the microwave dinged and she removed the bottle. "Gareth, I need your help to know if this is too hot or not." Not having any sense of touch was defiantly a handicap in some areas of caring for a child.

Hesitantly the kitsusagi skittered out from behind the couch and into the kitchen to her. "Tell me if it's too hot, okay?"

Gareth gave a silent nod as she squeezed a small droplet onto his raised paw. He looked at it before licking it off and giving the demoness and nod of his head.

"Good, thank you." As she went to sit down at the table another boom rang out, causing the puppy to start wailing once more and for Gareth to squeal and run back behind the couch. She sighed and bounced Katrina more, holding the bottle up to her, which was quickly snatched onto, despite her tears.

Kitara let out a sigh of relief, her ears drooping slightly as she fed her adoptive daughter. Slowly she sang to her, trying to coax her asleep again.

"Golden slumber kiss your eyes,
Smiles await you when you rise.
Sleep,
pretty baby,
Do not cry,
And I'll sing you a lullaby.

Care you know not,
Therefore sleep,
While I o'er you watch do keep.
Sleep,
pretty darling,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby."

It didn't take long for the chubby baby to finish her bottle, eyelids starting to drop as the storm outside started to calm down to just heavy rain once more. Setting the bottle down, the hellspawn shifted Katrina's weight and burped her before standing up and walking silently back to the baby's room to put her back to sleep.

A Short Meeting
(Katrina meets up with Akilah again)

Kitara Kata
It had only been a day or two since the last visit to The Fourth Wall, but Kitara figured another trip there wasn't going to hurt. She walked along the cobblestone streets towards it, her bag slung over her shoulder and the baby carrier in her hand.

Unlike last time, Katrina was now wide awake. She wasn't sure to where they were going, but the last time she had been out had been both a good and bad experiance... so she had mixed feelings about it. Well, as much mixed feelings as a small puppy her age could comprehend anyway. She gave a tiny attempt at a bark and nuzzled farther into her light purple blanket. It was still a little cold out, despite how much her caretaker bundled her up.

Soon enough, the necromancer came to the center where she had first been given Katrina Von Tassel. Slowly she opened up the door and peeked her head in. "Hello...?"

nozomi_ga_kanau
The FW Center had become a place to get away and relax for the meerkat and his human - where they could just play with each other, Akilah could socialize and Patrick wouldn't have to deal with screeching children.

Right now, they were settled on the floor in the middle of the centers entery area - out of the kicking range for people coming in, but close enough so people coming in could see them. They were playing 'catch'...or the childlike version of it.

Patrick was rolling the ball against a wall. It bounced and rolled back. Akilah would squeal and crawl after it, latching on and actually rolling with the ball. This time, though, he grabbed it and stared at the bodyless head. "Dawdee," The meerkat drawled, clutching harder to his plastic purple and yellow ball. "Teef."

THe dark man glanced up, grinning a little bit. "Hello."

Kitara Kata
"Hello again Patrick, Akilah." Kitara walked in, closing the door gently behind her before walking over. Her ears were drooping slightly, afraid that she would once again accidently scare the little meerkat child. Though she was still smiling nonetheless... teeth covered this time. "Looks like this place isn't as busy as it was last time I came here."

Katrina blinked and rubbed at her eyes as they adjusted to the inside light, becoming a little disoriented. Though once she could see her surroundings again, and Patrick for that matter, she gave a tiny fanged grin and wiggled around in her carrier. She remember that guy's scent! He was the tickly one! As if squirming wasn't enough of a tell-tale sign she wanted out, she began making tiny barking noises to alert the reaper.

"Okay, okay." Laughing slightly she set the carrier on a seat and set to unbuckling her. "I'm sorry if I still scare you, Akilah... I won't hurt you though, okay?" Crimson eyes glanced over to him, then back to the carrier. Kitara really didn't want the little one to be frightened of her. "So... how have you two been fairing?"

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Teef," Akilah repeated solomnly, staring at the reaper curiously. His little tail curled up behind him, both small, thin arms winding around his ball tightly, chin resting at the top of it. "Rowrowr teef."

"Annnnd Akilah is just now realizing that words have value and we're not just making noise for the hell of it." Patrick grinned, head shaking a little as bejeweled fingers moved to flick at Akilahs ball lightly (the child squeaked out his unhappiness at that movement), eyes going to the little carrier. "And we found that he really doesn't like my boyfriend. Eh. Don't worry about him being scared - your nickname is now 'Teef' - or teeth rather. He won't scream."

Kitara Kata
"Alright, and I'm perfectly content with the nickname." The demoness gave a tiny shrug and pulled Katrina from her carrier, holding her to her chest before walking over to the two. "Well the words is a good thing at least. I'm afraid Katrina has yet to say anything beyond barks, crying, and the like." Gradually she kneeled down near him on the floor. "The only thing I've learned so far is that she dislikes water and thunderstorms."

The tiny pup continued to give tiny barks as Kitara lifted her up and carried her over. Once her caretaker was set down, so was she. Using her mother's knees to keep her from toppling over, she reached out for Patrick with her tail wagging behind her.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Hey there, cutie." His 'coo' voice was right back on, leaning over to tickle at her little groping paws, grinning slightly. "Don't worry about her lack of talking yet... it took Akilah a little while to say anything past 'chirrpt' or something akin to that. Now he's just barely saying things. Soon he'll be stringing words together, won't he, pup?"

Akilah wasn't a jealous meerkat - that's a good thing, especially in a situation such as this. He chirruped softly and gave Katrina a suspicious look. The puppy looked rather defenseless... and so the white and black striped thing went to gnawing on his ball, soft squeaks of rubber and meerkat leaving him.

Kitara Kata
The hellspawn nodded, watching Katrina and Patrick in silence for a moment. "It seems she's taken a great liking to you." Did she like males more the females? Or just Patrick in particular? It was hard to tell when she was still so young.

The infant grinned, her pink tongue sticking out beyond her teeth slightly as she tried to grab onto Patrick's large (or at least to her) fingers. Floppy ears gave a twitch at the sounds eminatting from the creature she hadn't really paid much attention to before. Sniffing the air, large brown eyes trailed away from Patrick and over to Akilah. That thing smelled vaugly familiar... and what was it gnawing on? Her head canted to one side out of curiosity and her mouth shut.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"I have three about her age - Akilah and two more. Y'learn how to handle the rugrats, y'know?" The dark man glanced up, grinning towards the reaper, shoulders rising in a shrug, "A five year old, ten year old and three babies... well, let's just say you learn quick."

Akilah slid one eye open to peer at the black thing again, churring under his breath. "Keela." He huffed, hugging the plastic tighter. His! His, damnit!

Kitara Kata
"Wow, full house." Kitara smiled, her tail curling around her legs and the tip giving a tiny twitch. "Aside from all the pets I've taken in, Katrina is the only baby persay. Or child for that matter." Her smile seemed to become a little sad. "I had two before her, only one biological." She left it at that, not choosing to elaborate. "Though I love caring for children since I can't have any of my own."

Thinking 'Keela' to just be a whole other sound the meerkat was making, Katrina leaned foreward and positioned her chubby legs and arms so she could wobbily crawl towards the boy. Her tail stuck straight out behind her, helping her balance.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Yeah.. I mean.. Last August, it was just me and my fast-food job. Then in October, came Iamel, then Akuti...then everything else.." He grinned crookedly, head shaking with a sigh, running a hand over the back of his neck.

"You can't? Why not? Is it a biological thing or something?"

Akilah eyed the pup warily - was she attempted to steal his ball? The meerkat had just gotten the hang of crawling himself... She was like him? Like Cosa? SO instead..he just churred curiously, hugging the ball close to protect it. "Woof."

Kitara Kata
The necromancer watched Katrina crawl, grinning broadly. It was a first! Though albeit pretty unsteady, it was crawling nonetheless. Seemingly snapped from a trance, she looked back over to Patrick. "Oh, well yes I suppose. I'm androgenous. I only appear female for the sake of how feminine I act and sound."

Did that thing just woof? Katrina's ears perked and she tumbled back onto her rear a foot away from Akilah and his ball. Head canting to one side curiously, she tried to understand what this creature was. It certainly didn't SMELL like a dog... She barked back in reply, wondering if it'd do it again.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Ooooh...gotcha." He nods slightly, leaning back on his hands while watching the two kids, lips quirking into a faint grin. "They have a play, y'know, where you can just meddle with some DNA..clone yourself. Or have a baby with someone, no matter what gender - or lack thereof - you are." The dark man smiles a little, nose wrinkling.

Akilah squealed when the barked, small legs scrambling to hide behind the ball. Unfortunetly...the ball rolled, leaving him naked for attack. "Squeak!" he squeaked, eyes wide and on her. "...roof?"

Kitara Kata
"Yeah, I've heard of that." Kitara crossed her legs, clawed hands resting on her boots. "I even considered it... but after loosing my biological son, I've been kind of afraid to try it again." She frowned, keeping herself from delving into the past once more. Already she could hear the more negative of her sides echo in her mind. Have another? And forget about your first born? Replace him? You don't deserve another child of your own. Your a MURDERER. She visably winced at seemingly nothing, rubbing the center of her forehead with a pale finger.

It did it again! Katrina's large brown eyes blinked as she stared at Akilah. Okay. Now she was confused. Manuvering around she unsteadily crawled closer. Getting up close and sniffing him would set everything straight!

It's... A Plant
(Katrina & Kitara meet Rabid's new charge... Sevy)

Rabid Jigglypuff
The metal hinges creaked as a single glass-paned door edged open in the hallway. The unknown intruder's hand held the entryway open for a moment before a familiar fuschia-haired femme appeared from around the corner.

The entire Laboratory facility seemed to be still with inactivity, much to the botanist's delight. "I think it's clear." She whispered to herself mostly, not wanting to make it obvious she was doing something she shouldn't. This was just a simple "tour". Besides, she imagined poor Sevy was all alone and wanted company.

Kitara Kata
"You know, if it's against the rules to visit then maybe I should leave... I don't want you to get in trouble." Or me... Kitara thought as she stepped in behind her sister, Katrina in her arms. Crimson gaze looked around the building, both mother and adopted daughter taking in all the sights.

Rabid Jigglypuff
"Oh, quiet. I wouldn't do anything stupid, would I?" Rabid sighed and stepped into the dark and echoing hallway, dim lights and rows of closed doors making the place a little creepy. Huffing along, the lab tech motioned with a hand for the two to follow. "This is a LAB TOUR! Ain't it great? Ya I know boring, let's go to my place."

Sauntering down the empty hall, the female's heels tapped cheerfully across the linolium flooring towards her lab station before rummaging for her keys.

Kitara Kata
A whimper escaped the tiny pup's maw at the dark. She was afraid of the dark! "Arrrooow... arooowww..." Clinging to the necromancer's top with clawed hands, she pressed her face into her chest and whinned, wanting to go back into the light.

Kitara decided not to answer the question, knowing her answer would probably get her thwapped upside the head. Normally she wouldn't mind that, but with a baby in her arms she didn't want to risk it. Instead, she shhed and cooed Katrina as they walked.

Her footfall was almost dead silent compared to her sisters, walking lightly on her toes being one habit she had ever since she was created. "So... what exactly do you do here?" She knew full well Rabid wasn't the 'overworked lab tech smarty pants'-type.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Fumbling along with the keys to the door, Rabid's expression changed from one of irritation, frustration, malice and finally relief as the familiar "click" resounded through the complex. "I work." She chirped back to her younger sister as she opened the door and flicked on the neon overhead lights.

After tossing her purse onto a spare table, Rabid decided to ellaborate a bit as she foresaw a torrent of questions from her curious guest. "We're a botanical laboratory, studying..." She stopped by the little tent she had set up on the far table, moisture droplets sticking to the inside surface to house a humid environment inside. "-special... types on plants." She smiled and gestured to contraption.

Kitara Kata
The reaper winced as the bright lights hit her eyes, cat-like pupils adjusting to mere black slits. Katrina didn't like them either, giving a tiny yip even though she was glad to be out of the dark.

"Work?" An eyebrow raised in disbelief. "Special plants?" Now Kitara's brow furrowed in confusion. She leaned down to look at the strange contraption her sister gestured to, the puppy in her arms looking curiously at it as well.

"What do you mean?" She had NO idea what her older sister was babbling about. But if she was caring for something alive? ... Oh crap. The poor thing was doomed.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid paused for awhile for effect, pointing to the tented container until she was convinced Kitara was just plain clueless. "UGH." She grunted and pulled off the cover to reveal a rather well-kept terracotta pot complete with a small green sprout. Thermometers jutted out from the sides of the soil-brimmed container and an odd-looking irrigation system seemed to be hooked up to provide a steady drip of water to the plant. "Meet Sevy! Sevy, this is Kitara and Katrina, girls this is Sevy."

"Isn't he CUTE!"

Kitara Kata
Kitara blinked and stood upright again, staring at the plant. Special? It looked like any other plant to her. It even smelled the same. Slowly her gaze traveled to her sister's hidden eyes. She had no problems with naming a plant since they were living things but... how was it special?

Katrina blinked and stared at the plant, reaching out to it with a furry paw. "Errrrrr!" She grinned and continued to reach even though it was feet out of range. Meanwhile, the demoness continued to stare at her older sibling. "Okay, so your taking care of plants?" She didn't want to say that Rabid didn't seem the type to... give a damn.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid's excited grin was fading fast.

"Well yea, I'm taking care of him. He's mine, he was given to me to take care of..." Her brow furrowed and she stared back at Kitara with a mixture of disappointment and resentment at what she was implying. She knew what she was thinking. The little catgirl was probably making bets in her head at how long something would live in her care. She'd show her...

"He's special." The fellow demoness covered Sevy back up in a fury, feeling the need to repeat herself over and over to try and drill the idea into her head.

Kitara Kata
"Well, I understand that." The hellspawn replied, watching her sister put 'Sevy' back in his little containment center much to Katrina's dismay. "But how is he special? I don't understand." Kitara blinked, eyes returning to met her sister's. The look on her face was general innocent curiosity, one of the many looks that made people melt and pinch her cheeks while calling her baby names.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid leaned her back against the edge of the desk Sevy was happily dwelling on, fiercly frowning as she seemed to debate something in her mind. Crossing her arms over her chest, the older sibling leaned closer to Kitara despite decreasing proximity to the creature in her arms. "He's a BABY."

She whispered this in hushed caution, automatically standing up straight again as if she was being watched. She wasn't sure how Kitara would react to this seeing as it was fairly hard for her to believe at first, until that night in the lab. She could still hear the infant in her mind, a truly confusing and twisted occurance.

Kitara Kata
"You mean a sapling or something?" Kitara just... was NOT catching on. She continued to watch her sister, lowering the Fourth Waller in her arms just enough so she could peer eye-level at Sevy. Katrina seemed more interested in him then the cat-girl did.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid flinched, definetly not expecting such a daft understanding of the situation. "NO, no no! Not a sappling! I mean... well maybe, I don't know.." She seemed torn between what she believed was true and she believed just couldn't be.

"Listen to me." She began sternly, gesturing her hands in an eccentric manner though her tone sunk to a whisper yet again. "I saw them... with pots... and a baby, covered in dirt." She waited again, hoping this would actually sink in. "A REAL BABY." Pointing to the bundle of life in her sibling's arms. "BABY."

Kitara Kata
The necromancer's ears twitched at the tone of Rabid's voice, her tail giving a few passes behind her as she listened. Her eyes then widdened as she looked down at Katrina after the gesture. "... A baby?" She blinked, her craning foreward in mild disbelief. "That plant is going to have limbs and everything like Katrina?" She stared, not sure of what else to say.

The puppy however seemed to know this all along for some strange reason... like she could smell it or sense it somehow. Maybe it was because she was a baby, and babies seemed to know things like that without realizing it. Making grabby gestures towards the plant, she was kept out of reach by her mother.

Rabid Jigglypuff
"I dunno... I DUNNO!" Rabid threw up her hands into the air in exasperation. "Sheesh." She sighed at her own predicament, though it wasn't much of a problem at all. This was her resonsibility and she could do it, she could properly care for this... whatever she was reering.

"We better skidaddle my darlin's, so ends the tour!" With a grab at her purse she waited for Kitara to follow. "I mean, I'm authorized to be here..." The demoness gave a sly grin. "But you know, not really at this hour."

Kitara Kata
Kitara shifted the baby's weight in her arms, much to Katrina's dismay. She whinned and reached for Sevy, wanting a playmate but the reaper just patted her back to try and comfort her and followed her sister.

"Okay... though I'm awefully surprised at how little you know about what your caring for. They didn't tell you?"

Rabid Jigglypuff
"Nope!" Rabid chirped another reply, giving Sevy a quick glance over to make sure he was ok. "Just shoved a pot in my hands the first day!" She chuckled a bit at this, holding the door open for the two as they exited.

"G'niiiight Sevy! Be a good boy." She called out quietly, a little embarassed she was acting like that towards a plant infront of her sister. Then again, she had a feeling this wasn't an ordinary plant. Shutting off the lights, she shut the door behind her and linked arms with Kitara as they strode down the hall and out the door.

Meeting Two Guests
(Kitara brings her two friends, Mark & Lidiya, to her home)

Quote:
Kitara gradually made her way to Mark and Lidiya's house. It was a bright, wonderful day even if it was a little windy. The sun on her pale flesh put her in a good mood, for once her body being almost at the peek of motion thanks to the rare heat. Her bag was swung over her shoulder and in view for some unknown reason as she walked down the street.

Quote:
The road was quiet, with only the occasional passing car every few minutes - quite odd for this time of day. Lidiya was still hidden away in the darkness if her room - such 'nice' weather made being outside in daylight hours unbearable in her coat, and sheer agony without it. Mark, however, was awake, and was trying to fix the damaged floor - most likely at Lidiya's orders.

Quote:
The necromancer walked up the walkway to the home, not even bothering to knock on the door and simply opening it. "I'm back." She said, somewhat cheerfully.

Quote:
Mark looked up from his work - several charred floorboards ripped up, and an equal number of new replacements lying beside him. "You sound happy." he said.

Quote:
"I like when the sun is out. Nice 'n warm." Kitara walked over to him to find out what he was doing. She was happy for other reasons too, but for now they were unknown. Shifting the bag on her shoulder she frowned. "Sorry about ruining the floor. I can fix it if you want since it's my fault."

Quote:
"Your fault?" Mark raised a brow, in obvious disagreement. "Nah. Won't take long." he said, sliding new board into place. "What's in the bag? You've not been reading stories to sick children have you?"

Quote:
The reaper was about to disagree but her attention was drawn to the bag. "Huh? Oh, no. I'm afraid I'm too young to volunteer anywhere..." She pulled it off her shoulder and used one hands to hold it up while the other opened the top. "But I guess you could say that." She pulled out a walkie talkie and held it by the antenna before tossing it upward and catching it in her palm. "But theres someone I need to stay in contact with."

Quote:
"Oh? Who's that?" Mark looked up has he wiggled planks of wood from side to side, causing many loud creaking noises.

Quote:
Kitara smiled and pushed the button on the side. "Hey Faizah, mind saying something for me?" There was a pause before the other end fizzled, though nothing was said. She frowned and spoke into it again. "I know your givin' me that look. Stoppit and say something." Another pause before a fizzle and a low rumble/growl came from the other end. Smiling, she brought it to her mouth once more. "Thanks."

Quote:
"... right." Mark said, looking even more confused than before as he reached for the next board. Liten's tiny head poked out of her now completed plastic-bag-wigwam as she stared out through the glass walls of her environment. She wanted to be upstairs with her mother - even if it was pitch black in her room.

Quote:
The demoness gave a lopsided frown, though didn't say anything and put the walkie talkie back into her bag.

Quote:
"Who, or what, was that?" Mark asked. "And why the frown?" He jammed the second plank into place - only one remained.

Quote:
"It was Faizah, a companion of mine. Think of Syrianna... that tiger." Kitara swung the bag back over her shoulder, though didn't answer his second question.

Quote:
"I see." Mark smiled, noticing Kitara's reluctance to answer his questions. "And he or she is a....?" He paused. "Come on, no point getting me all curios if you're not gonna tell me."

Quote:
"She's a banthi. Her species exists in another realm much like this one." The hellspawn opened the bag again and shuffled through it's contents. "A banthi is something of a cross between a canine, feline, and gazelle or some kind." Fishing out a picture, she handed it to Mark. It was of a feline like creature with an ocelot pelt and gold jewlery on her body. Around the size of a small draft horse, blue eyes looked up at where the camera once was as she licked her talon-like claws... seemingly looking annoyed.

Quote:
"Ah. I see." Mark replied, pausing in thought for a moment. "Well... Where is she now? I can't imagine a 2-way radio working over a few miles - let alone a over a few dimensions." he said.

Quote:
"It wouldn't normally, but I put a few spells on it." Kitara put the picture back and the swung the bag back over her shoulder. "As far as I know, creatures that exist in Gaia, that's what it's called, can't cross over. Same goes for the people who originally lived there."

Quote:
"Better not let Lidiya hear that." Mark said, smirking. "You know what she'd be doing." He grabbed the final plank and slid it into the gap, pressing down on it with his feet once it was in place.

Quote:
"What?" The catgirl asked, head tilting slightly to the side.

Quote:
"She'd be trying to find a way to make it possible, ofcourse." He replied. "She likes to break the rules." He stood up, looking down at the floor and admiring his work, a smile on his face.

Quote:
Kitara rolled her eyes. "She can do whatever she wants, but she's not using my companions as test subjects."

Quote:
"I doubt she'd ask you to do that." Mark said, sitting down. He couldn't be bothered to throw the old floorboards out just yet. "Your friend doesn't seem to talkative either"

Quote:
"My friend?" The necromancer blinked for a moment. "Oh, you mean Faizah? She's busy watching someone for me and will only contact me if I'm needed."

Quote:
"Oh? She's more of a minion then?" Mark smirked momentarily, glancing over to the stairs as he heard the familiar sound of Lidiya's booted feet.

Quote:
"Of course not. I simply asked a favor of her." Kitara glared down at him, still standing by the sofa. "She could have declined if she wanted to. I don't force anyone to do anything." Her brow furrowed, tail giving a few lashes behind her.

Quote:
Mark shook his head. "I think you take my use of the word 'minion' too literally." he said as he watched Lidiya come sauntering down the stairs in her corset and stockings. Her clothes seemed to change only with her mood, lately.

Quote:
"Well then what do you mean?" The reaper glanced at Lidiya, but didn't address her yet.

Quote:
"Ack. Nevermind." Mark said. "It's that humour thing that humans have." Lidiya wandered over to Kitara and stood directly infront of her, towering over her and looking down into her eyes with a fierce, mean glare.

Quote:
Kitara turned and looked at Lidiya now, head tilted upwards to meet her gaze. Though she seemed unphased or surprised by the look... even if she was curious as to what was going on.

Quote:
Lidiya raised her hands and grabbed Kitara's shoulders - holding them with a grip that would likely cause considerable discomfort to a human. Slowly, she pushed Kitara down - sitting her on the sofa, and immediately released her. A huge, happy smile on her face. She seemed playful today.

Quote:
The grip didn't even cause the demoness to flinch, barely being able to feel it anyway. Though as she was pushed down and the smile replaced Lidiya's menacing glare, a brow rose... and she stared. "... What the s**t?"

Quote:
"Sit! I have chairs! People must sit!" She squealed delightfully, almost hopping up as she spoke. She bent down to lower a finger into Liten's aquarium, watching as the little blue girl wrapped her tiny limbs around it.

Quote:
Kitara just blinked and watched her, the confused expression still on her face.

Quote:
Lidiya raised Liten from enclosure carefully, smiling down at her as she did. Mark laughed, looking at Kitara's confused face. "She was joking with you." He said.

Quote:
"I know." The hellspawn said, though was confused as to why Lidiya had joked with her.

Quote:
"Then why the confusion?" The Vampiress asked, turning to her as she held Liten's tiny body.

Quote:
Kitara sighed, her shoulders slumping. "Nevermind it."

Quote:
The Vampiress blinked, looking rather puzzled and worried. "Have I done something wrong?" She enquired timidly.

Quote:
"No, you haven't done anything wrong." The catgirl said, leaning back into the sofa.

Quote:
"Hm. Ok." Lidiya said, choosing to accept Kitara's words as she took seat on the arm chair opposite. "Tell me about your companion then." she smiled, changing the subject. She grinned as she shook Liten from her finger - causing her to fall into the palm of her other hand.

Quote:
"I'm not sure there is much to tell beyond what I've already said..." Kitara scratched the back of her head in thought. "Sister and I help run the caverns where all the banthi are from. Faizah is the alpha female, hence why she has wings. Amon, Faizah's brother and Rabid's companion, is the alpha male. Banthi have a very wolf-like pack structure, but the two alpha's don't mate with one another and all lower ranking banthi can mate with whoever they please."

Quote:
"Do I get to see it?" The vampiress smiled. She loved seeing new places and meeting new people... or animals, in this case. She closed her fingers around Liten, trapping her inside her fist - something the Fae seemed suprisingly ok with.

Quote:
"If you want." The necromancer shrugged, surprisingly okay with the idea. "Faizah and her daughter, Kasinda live with me." She knew that the situation was a lot different then the whole Syrianna thing. Faizah wasn't as quick to anger and loyal to only Kitara... and Kasinda was just plain oblivious.

Quote:
"Ah, lovely." The Vampiress smiled. "I suppose I'll need my coat and hat then?" she said, thinking about the sun. She parted her fingers sligtly, watching as Liten peeked out between them. "Meanie!" She squeaked, though she didn't really mind the gentle squeezing she'd been given. It was actually quite comforting in some ways.

Quote:
"I'm not sure. Last I was there this morning it was still snowing and cloudy." Kitara said, standing up and shifting the bag on her shoulder. "The weather differs a lot from here, as does the time." She paused to think for a moment. "It's... mid afternoon there, I think."

Quote:
"I'll put them on anyway." Lidiya replied, slowly passing Liten over to Mark. She stood up wandering over to the front door where her coat and hat hung from an old fashioned wooden coathanger.

Quote:
"Okay." The reaper in the meantime materialized her scythe and walked away from the couch, ripping a portal open with the blade like she usually did. A strong burst of freezing air came from the opening, the other side of it seemingly very bright and white due to all the snow. Snowflakes blew through the opening, melting quickly.

Quote:
Lidiya through her coat over her shoulders and placed her hat on her head. The coat had many shiny, metallic buttons along its front, which she proceeded to click together. Considering it was a trenchcoat, it was incredibly tight - seemingly a size too small for her - though that was likely an intentional choice.

Quote:
"You staying here or coming?" Kitara asked, looking back to Mark who held Liten.

Quote:
"You want me to go?" He asked, looking at Kitara. Lidiya said nothing, simply stepping up to the Portal and waiting infront of it.

Quote:
"That's up to you." The demoness said, waiting on his decision.

Quote:
"Ok, sure, I suppose." He lowered Liten back into her glass home, knowing how terrified she was of strangers. (And understandably so, given her size).

Quote:
"Alright, bye Liten." Kitara waved her gloved hand to the tiny fae before stepping through the portal and landing into knee-deep white snow on the other side. It looked like a heavily forested area on Earth, snow covering the trees and ground and still coming down. A few feet ahead sat a wooden cabin built out of the trees around it by the looks of a few stumps around the home. Smoke billowed out of the chimney and it looked rather inviting compared to the immense cold.

Quote:
Liten waved back before wandering back into her wigwam to do... whatever it was she did in there. Mark and Lidiya stepped through the portal behind Kitara. Mark looked down at his feet. "Oh, great." he said. Lidiya just laughed "Should have worn my army boots." she said.

Quote:
"Sorry, shoulda warned you." The hellspawn laughed nervously as she pushed her way through the snow to the cabin. "It's warm inside, though." She seemed to be in better spirits here then she was anywhere else. "Gaaareeeeth, open the door please!" Picking up a snowball, she throw it at the door with a thump as they got closer to it. Something skuffled behind the door before it clicked open. A rather strange looking grey creature dropped back down on all fours and looked at the trio. His missmatched eyes, one yellow and one purple widdened. New people?! His huge ears lowered and all three of his fluffy tails tucked between his legs before he skittered off deeper into the house.

Quote:
Lidiya smiled, somewhat amused by the odd looking creature's seemingly frightened reaction. "A shy one?" She said, smirking.

Quote:
"Yeah, he's scared of almost everyone... even his own kind. He'll warm up eventually though." Kitara entered the doorway, waiting until both of them were in the very toasty living room before closing the door and proceeding to removed her snow-covered boots. As expected, most of the furniture had a rugged feel to it, crafted out of wood. There was an open fireplace on one end and a TV on the other. A couch sat nearer to the TV and a pair of armchairs by the fireplace. Toys of all kinds seemed to be strewn in one of the corners. Ahead was a large doorway that lead to what seemed to be a kitchen and before that was a flight of stairs going upwards. "Make yourselves at home."

Quote:
Lidiya nodded, following suit and removing her boots before wandering into the room. She wondered who built this place. Mark simply shook the snow from his footware - figuring that a small puddle of water by the door would be more agreeable than the state of his abused, rotting feet.

Quote:
"I'll go fetch Faizah, but in the meantime-" The catgirl looked around, then walked into the kitchen. "Kasinda! Get out of the fridge!" She yelled angrily before vanishing into the kitchen. A few moments later after some scolding, Kitara ushered the younger, three-limbed banthi out into the living room. "We have guests, go say hello." A cream coloured head poked out of the doorway as the necromancer made her way upstairs. A piece of raw bacon was quickly slurped up into her mouth and chewed before she hopped foreward enthusiastically towards them.

Quote:
"Hello." Lidiya smiled, her eyes glancing down to the apparantly missing limb before quickly moving back up to her face. Mark was still silent as he sat down.

Quote:
Kasinda grinned despite her maw and rubbed up against Lidiya, her tail wagging happily. Giving a few purrs and rumbles in greeting. She seemed to understand human tongue, but was unable to speak it. Kitara, able to hear what was going on downstairs spoke up loud enough for both to hear. "Banthi speak telepathically, if you can then that's the only real way to hear what they're saying."

Quote:
Lidiya nodded, and tried to focus on Kasinda, though she heard nothing other than her purring. The Vampiress crouched down, stroking the Banthi's fur. "I can't hear you." she said, a sad look on her face. "Can you think louder?" She laughed at herself somewhat.

Quote:
Kasinda raised a brow, her head tilting drastically to the side. Though then her eyes squinted shut and she screamed loudly telepathically. "WAHO! THIS LOUD ENOUGH?!" A cheshire-like grin spread on her face. Though it quickly faded when pawsteps came down the stairs. "Kasinda, please don't scream. Your going to end up bringing the house down one day." Faizah walked down the stairs, large wings folded gracefully on her back. She looked very regal, and obviously held herself in such a way to make that impression. Though she could only speak telepathically as well.

Quote:
Lidiya blinked. "Doesn't sound very loud to me." she said. Mark didn't appear to hear anything atall, making no reaction.

Quote:
"Awwwww, shame." Kasinda pouted, seemingly ignoring her mother's words and speaking to herself since Lidiya was unable to hear her. Faizah walked over to her and sat down in front of Lidiya. Her voice was a lot more clear then Kasinda's due to her age and knowledge. "Kitara informs me you came to meet me?" She sat up straight and proud, wings twitching before folding comfortably on her back once more.

Quote:
The vampiress smiled, able to hear Faizah's words. "Yes, I suppose I did." she said, still running her hand along Kasinda's back. Mark blinked - apparently deaf as a post.

Quote:
The young banthi leaned into Lidiya's touch, Faizah's blue eyes remained on her. "Well, it's nice to meet you. As you already know, my name is Faizah." Her head bowed in greeting just as Kitara came down the stairs holding a... baby? A very furry, black baby by the look of it.

Quote:
Lidiya nodded. "I'm Lidiya." She said. "I came here to... well.. just to see things I suppose." She looked up that the necromancer, curious as to the small black canine in her arms. Mark sat, finally deciding to speak. "I am now very confused." He said.

Quote:
"Why?" The necromancer asked, walking into the kitchen. Katrina wiggled in her arms and made gurgling noises, tiny clawed hands reaching out into the living room at two new things she wanted to see. But she vanished into the kitchen with her adoptive mother against her own, unspoken wishes. "Ah, I see..." Faizah said, nodding. "You come from where Kitara comes from, yes?" Kasinda's ears perked, knowing what her caretaker was up to. "Oooo, MILK!" Jumping up and romped into the kitchen, almost tripping over her own feet and sliding on the tile of the kitchen floor.

Quote:
"Erm, no." Lidiya answered. "Though the world I am from is very closely tied to hers." she said, ansering in the most simple terms she could. Mark laughed. "I'm watching Lidiya talk to herself. I can't hear s**t."

Quote:
"Ahh... I think I know what your talking about. Kitara goes there when she isn't here." Faizah gave a nod in understanding. Kitara laughed at Mark's words while heating up a bottle of milk. "Well, that's all I hear too so your not alone. You get used to it after awhile." There was a beep as the milk finished, her form appearing in the living room once more. She sat down near Mark, propping the canine baby in her lap and starting to feed her.

Quote:
"What, you can't hear anything thats said either?" He said, turning to her. Lidiya didn't seem to be paying attention to him, more interested in looking at the peculiar creatures surrounding her.

Quote:
"Nope, never have. I can only talk telepathically with my sister." The demoness said, keeping an eye on Katrina as she downed the bottle... rather quickly. Kasinda licked her chops free of any stray milk and walked back into the living room, followed by Gareth who peeked his head shyly around the couch.

Quote:
Lidiya looked up at him, smiling, but didn't move. "Hi." she said. Mark's eyes rolled around in his head, this way and that - as if he were reading something on the back of his own eyelids.

Quote:
Kitara blinked and watched him, a brow raised. "You okay?" Gareth twitched, his scarred face darting back behind the couch.

Quote:
Lidiya let out a giggle. "It's alright, come on out." She said, still kneeling on the floor infront of Faizah. Mark nodded. "One moment..." He said "Do not be alarmed, people." he took a deep breath and then proceeded to very painfully cough out a grey cloud of smoke.

Quote:
"Ah, Kaiser." The hellspawn set the empty bottle down beside her and lifted Katrina to her shoulder, patting her back until she belched... rather loudly for a small baby. Gareth was just about to come out with Mark coughed out smoke. Extremely alarmed, he let out a weird 'chrring' sound and scrambled up the stairs. Even Kasinda jumped, staring at it and having no idea what was going on. Faizah remained indifferent.

Quote:
Lidiya turned her head around to look at Mark - an angry frown on her face as she snapped at him. "Now look what you've done. You've scared him off again." She grumbled. Mark coughed and wheezed in response as Kaiser's scruffy, fierce looking image appeared in the smoke, and gradually solidified. The huge Wolf stood up on all fours, looking around.

Quote:
"It's not his fault, Lidiya." Kitara said, standing up and taking the bottle back in the kitchen before returning. Kasinda seemed pretty freaked out too, hobbling behind her mother with a worried look even though she still remained perfectly calm. If Kitara wasn't worried, then neither was she.

Quote:
The Wolf finally sat, satisified with his survey of the surroundings. He looked at the uncomfortable looking three-legged creature. "Kai sees you are wounded, odd feline" He certainly lacked in his social skills.

Quote:
"Hey!" Kasinda's brow furrowed, her fear melting away. She walked up to him and got in his face, despite being shorter then him. "Who you callin' wounded? I'm perfectly fine!" Though whether he could hear her or not, she didn't know.

Quote:
Mark smiled - he was, as he had predicted, able to hear things through his familiar. Kaiser looked down at Kasinda. "You appear to have lost your front leg." he said.

Quote:
"I was BORN that way." The tripod glared, ears drawing back against her skull and her golden eyes narrowing. Kitara just sighed and bounced a rather perplexed looking puppy on her knee.

Quote:
Kaiser tilted his head as Lidiya tickled his neck. "Oh. Kai apologises. Kai comes from a place were those born like that did not live long." He said. "Kai thought you had lost it recently."

Quote:
Kasinda huffed, her tail thrashing before she turned and left up the stairs. "I'mma go hang out with Gareth." Her mother just sighed, shaking her head. Katrina blinked, analyzing the large dire wolf and giving a few sniffs to the air. Another canine? Tiny ears drew back and a growl began to emit from her throat. Kitara blinked, her brow furrowing as she turned the pup to face away from him. "Hey, hey! What's gotten into you?"

Quote:
"Oh dear. Kai has upset pretty cat." The the wolf said, his head slumping forward. "Puppy is upset too. Kai fails." Lidiya shook her head. "Kai does not!" She said, hugging him.

Quote:
"Puppy is territorial." The necromancer frowned and tried to keep her attention on her own face by making weird expressions. Though Katrina wanted none of it, turning her head back around to glare at Kaiser. Faizah shook her head while laying down, spreading her wings slightly before folding them onto her back again. "She's just touchy when it comes her..." She paused, not wanting to say it. "You know. She doesn't like to be labeled as having a 'dissadvantage'."

Quote:
Lidiya nodded, still cuddling Kaiser. "Should Kai go and apologise?" he said, ignoring the puppy's glare. He thought it amusing that such a tiny, young, and defenseless creature would be bold enough as to threaten him in such a way.

Quote:
"That would probably be best." Faizah said with a nod. The tiny mutt continued to glare and growl until Kitara lifted her into the air and gently forced her to look at her. "Heeeey! Lookie! It's Mark!" She said enthusiastically and then stood, holding her over Mark's face. Katrina blinked and looked into his eyes with large brown orbs. Her snarling ceased immediantly and was replaced with a huge grin. Giggling, she reached for him and wagged her tail. "Bear with me, she likes men more then woman and I don't know why." The reaper sighed, ears drooping.

Quote:
"Yey. Black doggie." Mark said, looking at the puppy. "With teeth." He said, extending a gloved hand to pet the creature. Kaiser freed himself from Lidiya's arms and walked over to the wooden staircase, then hopped up it - his heavy weight causing the wooden boards to creak and groan.

Quote:
Katrina giggled and grabbed onto a finger with her tiny, padded hands. The demoness sighed and continued to hold her out, looking over to Lidiya. "I suppose I sort of lied when I said I didn't live anywhere."

Quote:
"I knew anyway." Lidiya smiled. "I knew you had to, or your clothes would be dirtier." she said, seeming to have known all along. Upstairs, Kaiser poked his head around the first doorway he found.

Quote:
"Well, not really... I've only had a house for about two years. I only built it for my companions, whom come and go a lot." Kitara said, Katrina struggling in her arms and stretching her chubby limbs out to Mark. The first doorway looked to be a playroom. Toys of many different kinds were strewn about the floor and dangling out of chests. Kasinda sat on a pile of pillows near Gareth, whom instantly tried to hide in them. Kasinda looked over at him, a squeeky toy in her mouth. "What?" She asked rather angrily, ears drawing back.

Quote:
The wolf looked around curiously at the strangely coloured objects that littered the floor in mild curiosity, then looked back at Kasinda. "Kai came to say he is sorry for upsetting pretty cat."

Quote:
"Pretty cat?" The tripod raised a brow, her ears raising.

Quote:
"Kai does not know feline's name, so Kai calls feline by descriptive terms". He said, wandering in through the doorway.

Quote:
"Well, the name is Kasinda and it's alright. You didn't mean to upset me." She said, going back to gnaw on the squeeky ball she had been playing with.

Quote:
Kaiser nodded, looking at the noisy object in Kasinda's mouth. He spotted several similar objects on the floor, and pawed at one of them - unsure as to what it was, and what purpose it served - if any.

Quote:
The ball squeeked as it was touched, rolling a few feet away. Kasinda watched him, raising her head while squeezing the ball in her mouth. "What? Never seen a squeeky toy before?" Gareth in the meanwhile was sneaking the long way out of the room, tail and ears tucked.

Quote:
"No. Kai has not." Kaiser said, looking around. He spotted gareth sneaking away timidly. "Why are you creeping away like that, one with large ears?" He said, sitting.

Quote:
Gareth squeeked, frightened before making a bolt for it out the doorway and down the stairs. The banthi didn't seem to mind this. "He's just scared of new people... and a lot of other things. But anyway, how can you NOT have seen a ball before?" Dropping the plaything from her mouth, she pressed her paw on one side so it shot towards Kaiser in rubbery fury.

Quote:
Kaiser tilted his head in confusion, watching the long-eared creature run away. He looked down at his feet as a the rubber ball bounced off him. "Balls are made by man." he said, looking up at Kasinda. "Kai did not live with man untiul very recently. Kai lived very different life than you."

Quote:
Kasinda just stared at him like he was speaking another lanuage. "Mmmmkaaaaay then..."

Quote:
"Kai lived in the wild as vicious pack animal." He said, pushing the ball away with his paw.

Quote:
"Ohhhhh, okay. I think I get it." The femme sat up with little difficulty, given her dissability. "Well, banthi live in packs too... my mom is the alphess and my uncle is the alpha. They hunt sometimes, but I don't think were vicious."

Quote:
"Kai understands." he said, wandering around the room and looking at the various toys surrounding him. "Kai never played like this." he said. He could hear Lidiya's voice downstairs - seemingly trying to coax Gareth out from behind a sofa again.

Quote:
"Well..." Kasinda looked around the room before standing. "It's a lot like hunting, I guess... though I've never hunted." Flipping open one of the trunks filled with toys she began to dig around. Kitara had since sat back down with a rather sleepy Katrina. Now that Kaiser was gone, she had nothing to be territorial about. Gareth peeked out at Lidiya with a single yellow eye, though made no move to come out yet.

Quote:
Kaiser gave a fanged grin - somewhat amused by Kasinda's innocence, as he saw it. "Only a little." He said. Lidiya remained downstairs, knealt infront of Faizah, though her attentintion was now focused on the big-eared grey creature she'd seen run in and hide instantly. She moved over to the end of the sofa, still on her hands and knees, and poked her head around the side of of it, her red hair cascading down either side of her face from under her hat.

Quote:
"You know how to play tug-a-war?" Kasinda asked, grabbing a long, thick rope from the toychest and pulling it out with a few yanks of her muzzle. Faizah lay where she was, head placed between her paws. Gareth flinched as Lidiya's head came around the corner. His grey fur stood on end, ears and tail tucked as she backed away. Kitara meanwhile smoothed back the black and white hair from Katrina's face. Even though she could tell the little pup was tired, she seemed reluctant to go to sleep due to all the activity.

"Yes, though Kai is used to playing it with kills." He said, looking at the rope and picturing it as a dead fawn. Lidiya smiled at the frightened grey creature. "Hi." she said sweetly. "Why are you hiding?"

Quote:
"Well, no kills here. Just a rope." The tripod swung the rope around until it was coiled around her head and horns so she didn't trip over it while walking back over to Kaiser. "Here, take this end." She said, swinging the rope off her and flinging one end towards him. Gareth twitched and backed up again, though didn't make a sound. The necromancer choose to remain quiet, allowing Katrina to grab onto her fingers. Slowly she raised her arms and then her body, using her tail and her adoptive mother's hands to help her stand on her legs.

Quote:
Kaiser grabbed the end of the rope in his mouth, lifting it up and clamping his jaws down on it as if it were a deer's leg. Lidiya persisted with her attempts, moving towards Gareth a little and then sitting a few feet infront of him, arms extended. "Come here." she said "Don't be shy."

Quote:
"Alright..." Kasinda grabbed the rope in her mouth as well, her jaw structure that of a combined canine and feline so it gave her a very slight advantage. "Just... don't pull me on my face, okay?" Adjusting the rope again she leaned back. "Readyyyy... seeeet..." The kitsusagi shivered and stared at Lidiya, though didn't move foreward or back. Wavering a little, Katrina stood on the reaper's legs with a sleepy grin. Taking a few steps foreward and back, her tail wagged.

Quote:
Kaiser tugged hard on the rope, though didn't give it his all. He didn't want to pull her over - something would probably be done quite easily given her missing leg. Lidiya tilted her head, confused as to why the... thing infront of her seemed so frightened. "Do look scary to you?" She asked, reaching up and removing her hat. "Is it all this black stuff?"

Quote:
The banthi screeched as she tumbled foreward, tail poofing up as she slid to a stop in front of Kaiser. She was very far from strong, even compared to a banthi. Gareth shook his head slightly, able to understand human tongue but not able to speak it. The tiny pup eventually fell back on her rear, the diaper she wore crinkling. Kitara began to bounce her again, remaining silent.

Quote:
Kaiser looked down at her. "Sorry. Kai thought you were stronger." he said, watching the crumpled mass of fur and rope trying to climb back to its feet. Lidiya leaned forward, looking into Gareth's eyes as she cradled her head in her hands. "What are you scared of then?" she asked. "Can't you talk like the others do?"

Quote:
Kasinda rolled over in laughter, the rope tangled around her. "Heck no! I've never trained a day in my life!" The scarred creature shook his head, making a small churring noise. Katrina yawned loudly, finally begining to fall foreward. "Maybe it's time I put you to bed." The demoness thought outloud, pulling the baby to her chest.

Quote:
Mark glanced down at the wobbly looking puppy, though he said nothing as listened to Lidiya's attempts to calm down the frightened critter that hid behind the sofa. "Is that why you're shy? Because you can't talk?" the Vampiress asked, slowly creeping towards him. Kaiser said nothing as he stood over Kasinda, still amused by her carefree ways. "You are very young aren't you?" he said, dropping the rope so that he could speak clearly.

Quote:
"Yep!" The femme rolled over, not caring about the rope that tangled around her creame coloured body. "I've only been an adult for... a couple months I think." She smiled up at him, tail thumping the wooden floor in a few wags. "Though normally when banthi grow up they change right then and there, become all serious and stuff." She said this as if mocking it. "But when I grew up, I figured... why grow up mentally? It's much more fun to goof around." A fanged grin played her features. Gareth shook his head again, glancing in his caretaker's general direction. As if knowing exactly what he was thinking, she looked over. "None of his species can talk... he's just shy and scared. Let him come to you, he'll warm up eventually." Kitara gently lay the puppy on her chest, rocking back and forth.

Quote:
"That is a dangerous way to think." Kaiser replied. "Kai would have died much sooner than her did if he had thought like that." He didn't approve of Kasinda's immaturity. Lidiya stopped her advance and sat still, looking down at Gareth. "Do you want me to go away?" she asked him.

Quote:
"Well, times change." Kasinda shrugged, her humor fading fast as she looked up at him. "Just because I'm not mature doesn't mean I'm stupid." Gareth made no movement or sound, looking at her then back down at his face. He was clearly fighting with himself. The hellspawn gently stood. "I'm gonna go put Katrina to bed." She said, patting the mutt's back as she slept.

Quote:
Lidiya nodded, smiling up at the necromancer as she stood. The Vampiress turned back to Gareth and then stood, dwarfing him with her height. "I'll go sit with with others. You come out when you're feeling brave enough, ok?" She gave an uncharacteristically cute smile, tilting her head to one side, then walking away to sit with Mark. Kaiser shook his head. "Kai never said that. Kai just doesn't think it's good for you." He paused for a moment. "But Kai supposes you have less need for such an attitude here."

Quote:
The spotted banthi sat up, looking at Kaiser. "Why do you think it's bad for me?" She asked, general interested. Gareth nodded and watched her get up, staying where he was. The catgirl walked out of the living room and up the stairs, passing the room Kasinda and Kaiser were in.

Quote:
Kaiser glanced over to the doorway momentarily, hearing Kitara walk by, then turned back to Kasinda. "Kai lived in a place where immaturity meant certain death." he said. "Immaturity killed Kai when he chased silly rabbit for fun. Kai thinks immaturity is hazardous to your health."

Quote:
"Well, as I said before... times change. Though being mature or immature isn't a good or bad thing I don't think. Just because your labeled as one or the other doesn't mean your stupid or uptight... get what I'm saying?" Kasinda asked, head tilting to the side. After the tiny puppy was set down in her crib, Kitara closed the door and then walked into the doorway where the wolf and banthi were. "Make sure you two stay quiet okay? Katrina is sleeping."

Quote:
Kai nodded to bother Kasinda and Kitara, sitting down as he did. He turned to the Banthi, sighing. "Sorry. Kai must be old and boring." He said. Lidiya remained sat beside Mark, her eyes now fixed on Faizah, admiring her jewelry.

Quote:
The tripod raised a brow, giving a small laugh. "Why do you say that?" Kitara quietly made her way back down the stairs, walking back over to her two guests. The alphess' ears twitched as she noted someone's eyes on her. Opening up her piercing blue gaze, she looked at Lidiya but said nothing.

Quote:
"Who made your jewellery?" The Vampiress enquired as Faizah looked up at her. Kaiser shook his head. "Kai doesn't understand much of what he sees these days. Kai is very ancient." he replied, wrapping a messy grey tail around his paws.

Quote:
"Ohhh, I see... well..." Kasinda looked around. "We could always wander around Gaia. I could show you around." She smiled, wagging her tail a little. The ocelot smiled, her tail curling around her talon-like paws. "Kitara and Rabid." Kitara stretched even though she wasn't tired. "Do you guys want anything? Sorry I didn't offer earlier."

Quote:
"Ah." Lidiya said. "They're very nice." she said, then glanced over to Kitara. "I don't think you can provide what I need." the Vampiress smiled, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a bottle of, unsuprisingly, blood - probably poured from the bag she stole from the hospital. Kaiser shook his head. "Kai can't move too far away from brother, or he falls apart." he said.

Quote:
The banthi frowned. "Awww, shame." Faizah smiled, nodding her head slightly while sitting up. "Thank you." The necromancer merely shrugged and looked over at Mark. "You want anything?"

Quote:
"Only if you have tea." he said, grinning. Lidiya proceeded to unscrew the cap from the bottle, removing it and then tipping contents back into her mouth. A rather pleasurable sounding sigh came from her as her mouth filled with blood, though she did not swallow yet, preferring to savour the taste - sloshing it around her mouth slowly.

Quote:
"Sure, what kind?" Kitara asked, both her and Faizah ignoring Lidiya at the moment.

Quote:
"Oh, I get a choice?" Mark looked almost excited now. "Earl grey with milk and sugar, if that's possible, please." he said, smiling. Tea. Tea! Yes! Tea! Lidiya swallowed her unsanitary drink before screwing the cap back on, saving the rest for later - better not overdo it and end up on a blood-high. She smiled, licking her bloody lips as she set the bottle and its morbid contents down.

Quote:
"Okay, one minute." The reaper turned and headed into the kitchen. A few clanks and thuds later her voice was heard. "Did you wanna tour after this?"

Quote:
"In the cooooold?" Mark whimpered. "My human toes will fall off." he said. Lidiya let out a little giggle. "I suppose we could." she said. "Though one wonders how the locals react to Vampires." she said, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.

Quote:
"I meant my house, but Gaia is okay too... and they won't react at all." Kitara said, her head peeking in the door way to look at them. "This place is a lot more diverse in species then Earth is. I think I know..." She paused, her head vanishing again. "Three or four vampires by aquaintence."

Quote:
Mark smiled, taking the mug in his hands. "Sankoooo..." He chirped, raising it to hid mouth. Lidiya smirked. "Lack of raving kinky goth sex parties?" She asked, going along with what she thought Kitara imagined to be 'interesting' to her, more than what was actually interesting to her.

Quote:
"Basically." Kitara gave a lopsided smirk. "Plus, I just recently recieved Katrina... I wanted to get things back in order before inviting guests over." She then took a breath even though it wasn't needed. "Well anyway, as you can see this is the living room. Built the house myself. Yadda yadda." Making hand gestures she made her way towards the kitchen and stairs.

Quote:
Lidiya stood up, following Kitara, glancing down breifly as she walked past Gareth, smiling at him.

Quote:
The kitsusagi just drew back, looking at her as they walked but not following. "Kitchen." Kitara said, spreading her arms out to gesture to the rather normal looking kitchen. "The bathroom is back there." She pointed down a short hall, only two rooms branching off into it. "Bathroom on the right, storage closet on the left. Downstairs isn't that extravagent."

Quote:
"You know I like extravangance." Lidiya grinned, looking into Kitara's big red eyes with her own, near identical set. Lidiya looked around, looking rather positive despite none of it being to her tastes.

Quote:
"I know. I like simplicity mostly." Mostly? The hellspawn didn't elaborate, walking back into the living room and starting to head up the stairs. "Not coming, Mark?"

Quote:
"Why, is there something you want to show off?" he replied, smirking. He sensed there was, as did Lidiya - though she had chosen to say nothing. She looked down at Gareth again, tilting her head in curiosity.

Quote:
"Nothing you'd find interest in, no." Kitara raised a brow. "The only thing I'd show off are my books, but no one takes an interest in them." She shrugged and climbed the stairs, figuring he didn't want to come.

Quote:
Lidiya followed, the stairs creaking under her as if their only purpose was to try and make her feel fat. She remained Silent for now.

Quote:
Upon reaching the top, about five rooms branched off. The first was the playroom Kaiser and Kasinda were in. "This is the playroom for all my companions when they stay here." There was a very wide range of different toys, things she had picked up over the years.

Quote:
Lidiya peered in, and grinned at Kaiser who sat amidst a sea of scattered toys, looking rather confused and out of place. "All these colours hurt Kai's eyes." he said.

Quote:
"I didn't think you could see in colour." Kitara raised a brow, breifly glancing at Kasinda as she chewed on a piece of the rope.

Quote:
"Kai can't see all colours, but Kai sees enough." he replied. "Kai can't see green." he said. Lidiya looked around at the messy room. "The children's ward looked like this yesterday." she mused.

Quote:
"Ah, I see." The catgirl went passed a couple more doors. "Most of these are empty, used for storage or guests." Coming to the third, she pressed her lips with a finger and opened the door to Katrina's room. It was mostly pink and black, some parts of it still being set up and a couple boxes on the floor. The tiny pup slept silently in her crib.

Quote:
"Cute." Lidiya squeaked quitely, noting the repulsive amount of pink in the room. .. Not that she had a problem with pink.

Quote:
After a quick once over of the sleeping pup, Kitara closed the door and pointed to the one on the end. "That one is Rabid's, afraid I can't show you it." Instead she walked to the next door and went to open it, but paused to think for a moment.

Quote:
"Territorial huh?" Lidiya said, glancing at the closed doorway. She looked at Kitara as she paused. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Quote:
"I suppose, yeah." The necromancer pulled the knob out of it's hinge. "Trying to think of which room to show you." Giving the knob a few twists she pushed it back in and then opened the door. "I have three rooms, this is one of them." The inside was... surprisingly regal looking, something taken directly out of the 18th or 19th century. Even though there was no bed, it looked like a lounge of sorts and was filled with many different instruments, the biggest being a grand piano in the corner.

Quote:
Lidiya laughed. "I thought you didn't like extravagance?" she said, looking at the room's rather expensive looking contents.

Quote:
"I don't normally." Kitara said, walking over to a red chair and sitting down. "But I like to model rooms after pleasent times of my life." She paused for a moment and looked over at Lidiya. "You play any instruments?"

Quote:
Lidiya wandered in, looking at the instruments. "Well, a piano is similar enough, she said." approaching the huge instrument. And keying though several octaves.

Quote:
Kitara nodded and watched her, though remained silent.

Quote:
She sat down before the grand piano. Pressing a few keys as she searched for the right notes. "Not done this in a lifetime." she said. "This is the only song they 'officially' allowed me to play." She replied as she began to play the Soviet National anthem. "Nationalism and all."

Quote:
"Ah." The demoness said, her ears twitching.

Quote:
The Vampiress smiled, finding that she could still play reasonably well - though the occasional note was off or missed, it still sounded good. She stopped after the first chorus. "Better not wake your puppy though." she said.

Quote:
"Yeah, though she seems to like music a lot... pretty much the only thing that will wake her up is banging or storms of any kind." Kitara leaned back into the armchair.

Quote:
Lidiya nodded silently. "What of your other rooms? I assume they are both very different?" She said, turning around on the piano stool.

Quote:
"One is in more of a Japanese style... if that wasn't obvious enough and the other is mostly a study, where I keep my books." The hellspawn replied, standing up. "The only way to see them is to go out of the room, turn the knob a certain way, and then come back in."

Quote:
"What sort of books?" The Vampiress enquired. She was interested to squeeze as much information as she could out of Kitara while she seemed to be in the mood for it.

Quote:
"Anything that seemed interesting at the time. Novels, spells, short stories, whatever." Kitara shrugged.

Quote:
"I see." The Vampiress nodded, then paused in a long silence. "Why did you agree to bring me here? Weren't you worried I'd do something stupid again?" she asked finally.

Quote:
"What'd you mean?" The catgirl asked, looking at her and sitting back down.

Quote:
"Well, I don't if any of these creatures you live with are mortal or not..." She replied, looking around the room as if she would find her words written on the walls. "...But given my... violent instabilities... how were you able to bring me to them so happily."

Quote:
"I built this house myself for a reason." Kitara said, leaning back again. "If you were to flip out, you'd be expelled from it within seconds and forced out into the cold." She scratched the back of one of her ears. "I've put a lot of thought and work into protecting those I care for here. Inside and out."

Quote:
"Ah. An indestructible house then?" Lidiya smiled, happy that she wasn't a danger to Kitaras 'pets'.

Quote:
"Not indestructible, but damn near close." The necromancer folded her hands into her lap. "I've had to deal with problems like that once or twice before."

Quote:
"Better be less destructible than German bunkers." The Vampiress twitched, recalling several events from her past.

Quote:
Kitara nodded, but remained silent after noting the twitch.

Quote:
"Sorry. Had nasty thoughts." The Vampiress said, noticing Kitara's reaction. She stretched her arms and legs out infront of her. "What's wrong with Gareth?" she asked.

Quote:
"Nothing, he's always been that way... I don't know why." She shrugged. "When I got him he was still a kit and already had his scars. I have no idea what happened to him before that and he seems rather unwilling to tell me."

Quote:
"That's probably what scared him then." Lidiya replied, nodding. "Although, how can he tell you anyway?" She said, standing up.

Quote:
"Well, I've taught him how to write a little and he understands english." The reaper said.

Quote:
"Ah." The vampiress nodded. She glanced at the doorway, hearing a faint scuffling sound behind it - Kaiser, she guessed. "I think someone is eavesdropping." she smirked.

Quote:
Kitara blinked and looked over to the door before standing and walking over to it, opening it up.

Quote:
"Kaiser?" Lidiya asked, looking at the Necromancer as she wandered over behind her.

Quote:
The door opened up to the same hallway, despite the room they were in. She looked out to see who was there.

Quote:
The hallway was empty, the noise Lidiya had heard was obviously the sound of them leaving - if, indeed, they had been there in the first place.

Quote:
The demoness' brow furrowed and she walked out of the room, opening the door to Katrina's bedroom and checking the crib first of all.

Quote:
Lidiya followed behind her. "I thought she was asleep?" the Vampiress said.

Quote:
"She is." Kitara replied once making sure the pup was safe and still sleeping in her crib. She then went out of the room, closing the door once Lidiya was out and went downstairs.

Quote:
Mark glanced up at her, an empty teacup on his lap. "Have fun?" he said, glancing at Lidiya as she wandered in behind her.

Quote:
"You didn't just come up to my door, did you?" The hellspawn asked, looking around. "Where's Kaiser?"

Quote:
Mark blinked, then looked through Kaiser's eyes in his mind. "Chewing squeaky toys." he replied. "Why?"

Quote:
Kitara blinked and then looked back at Lidiya, wondering what she heard then.

Quote:
"Hm. Maybe I'm going crazy... again." The vampiress shrugged, pausing. "Gareth still hiding?" She asked, poking her head over Kitara's shoulder to look behind the sofa.

Quote:
Sure enough, Gareth looked up at her from behind the sofa. "Hn..." The catgirl frowned, the thought of Lidiya going crazy in her home didn't sound very appealing.

Quote:
"Don't worry, I'm not feeling psychotic today." Lidiya said, looking around nervously. She looked down at Gareth. "It wasn't you?" She asked, curious as to what she could have heard.

Quote:
The grey creature shook his head. "Well, either way I guess we should head back to your house, ne?"

Quote:
Lidiya sighed. "Gotten you worried now have I?" she said. "Don't worry about it. I'm fine."

Quote:
"Yes, but it's..." Kitara glanced over at the window, the sky darker then it had been before. "Probably almost 10 at night back home."

Quote:
"Aw. That's a shame. I was hoping Gazzy here would atleast come give me a hug." She look down at him, pouting in sad disappointment.

Quote:
"Gazzy?" The necromancer turned to Lidiya, staring. Gareth's ears drooped, but he made no move to her. "Well anyway, it's not like you'll never come here again."

Quote:
"Why, am I not welcome?" The Vampiress sulked, looking even more upset than before now.

Quote:
"Huh? I said it's NOT like you'll never come here again." Kitara raised a brow, starting to question where Lidiya's mind was at the moment.

Quote:
Lidiya paused. "Oh, never. I thought you said 'ever'." she laughed, pausing. "Not like you'll never...." She shook her head. "Stop confusing me with double negatives!"

Quote:
The reaper sighed before laughing slightly and heading for the door. "We better get you outta here before your brain implodes. Faizah, watch Katrina while I'm gone. I put her to bed, so you shouldn't have much trouble." The alphess gave a low rumble in agreement before standing and slowly making her way up the stairs.

Quote:
"Bye everyone." Lidiya waved as Mark stood up, setting his empty tea cup down and picking up Lidiya's bottle of blood. He wondered what the original donor would think if they knew where it had ended up. Lidiya paused before following Kitara out. "Well you come give me a cuddle next time I'm here?" she said, bending down at the the waist her hands on her knees - which seemed to be glued to one another. She smiled down at Gareth sweetly, looking into his two-tone eyes.

Quote:
"Churrrrreeep." Gareth replied, lowering himself submissivly. "Goodbye Lidiya." Faizah said just as she vanished from view, then looked into the room where Kaiser and Kasinda stayed. "Your companion is leaving, Kaiser."

Quote:
"No worries. Kai will just fall to pieces." Kaiser replied, too lazy to follow, and with no further business to conduct outside of Mark's head - aside from sleep and generally make the place look untidy. Lidiya giggled, smiling down at the strange grey creature. "Not sure what you mean by that, but ok. I'll see you soon, hopefully." she replied, and held a hand out infront of his snout, mainly curious as to what he would do.

Quote:
Both Faizah and Kasinda wore the same confused expression but said nothing. The alphess walked back into Katrina's room and the tripod looked at Kaiser. "Well, it was nice meeting you then." Gareth paused for a moment, looking at the hand before tentivly stretching his neck closer and sniffing it before drawing it back. Kitara stood at the door, waiting.

Quote:
Lidiya smiled. "Bye bye!" she smiled, waving at him, the stood up, turned, and left. Kaiser smiled. "It was nice meeting you to. Goodbye, for now." He said, wagging his tail behind him.

Quote:
Once she had put on her boots and both Mark and Lidiya were out the door, she closed it behind her and almost fell into thigh deep snow. "Gah damnit." Kitara grumbled, pushing herself through it until she was a few feet away from the house.

Quote:
Lidiya laughed. "Want me to lift you out of it?" she offered, grinning. Mark grumbled again, feeling chunks of snow fall over the top of his boots.

Quote:
"No, I got it." The demoness mumbled, materializing her scythe and ripping open a portal in front of her. "Hurry, before my legs freeze off." She said, ushering them to go through. Her face was already turning purple.

Quote:
Lidiya hopped through, smiling, followed by Mark. Kaiser uttered a final "Bye!" to the banthi before apparently turning to stone, then crumbling to dust as Mark stepped through the portal. The dust spread out slowly before vanishing into nothingness.

Quote:
Kitara grabbed the sides of the portal and pulled herself out of the snow and through it. Closing it behind her her legs slumped slightly. They were still purple.

Quote:
Lidiya looked at her purple friend. "You need a better body." She said, looking at the already near frost-bitten demon.

Quote:
"Yeah well..." The hellspawn rubbed her legs and started to walk slowly in circles to get the blood moving again. "Don't have much of a choice."

Quote:
"Find yourself some new, living bodyparts and organs then?" The Vampiress suggested, wandering off into the Kitchenh as Mark flopped down on the sofa again.

Quote:
Kitara paused, glaring at her. "And how do you propose I do that without killing someone?"

Quote:
"Much of the body remains alive for hours, even days after death" Lidiya replied from inside the kitchen. "Go to the hospital or the morgue. Plenty of people wjho don't need their bodies anymore." She said, wandering back in with 3 cups of tea, holding one out to Kitara. "Drink. Warm."

Quote:
The catgirl frowned, but took the drink anyway and started pacing again while drinking it. She choose not to comment on Lidiya's suggestion... being she probably already knew what she was going to say.

Quote:
"If it makes you feel better you can look for those with donor cards." Lidiya smirked, sitting beside Mark and peering into Liten's aquarium. A collection of stones had been arranged into a circle outside the wigwam, but now, all was still and silent.

Quote:
Still Kitara didn't reply, not fond of the suggestion at all. Stopping once her legs were warmer she drank the rest of her tea and set the cup down on the coffeetable. "Well, thanks but I think I'm gonna go chill with sister for awhile."

Quote:
"Ok." Lidiya said, smiling. "Today has been fun." She added, a gleeful grin spreading across her face. Mark sipped at his tea then nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow then.... or whenever." He said.

Quote:
"Alright. See ya then." The necromancer waved to both of them before making her way to the door and vanishing.

Ever since I took Katrina to meet Sevy, she's kind of been wanting to go back I think... even though she doesn't talk and I can't understand what she manages to babble, you get that feeling y'know?

So I went out today and bought her a little plant. Not sure what it is exactly since... well, obviously I'm not good with plants, but it appears to be a vine of some kind in a bottle with sand in the bottom. I showed it to her and she actually kinda liked it I think, so I put it in her room by her crib. Katrina needed some life to that room anyway.

Also, I've noticed she's walking a lot more! On her own, no less! Though I'm afraid she still hasen't said anything... I wonder why.

[Terror On Two Legs]

"Wake up, sweetie... it's time for you to have some breakfast." Kitara said soothingly as she flicked on the light inside her adoptive daughters room. A tiny whine of dissaproval followed from the crib where Katrina slept. "Oh c'mon now, you love breakfast." Smiling, the necromancer leaned over the edge of the crib and her eyes flew open.

Instead of the little black ball of fluff she expected to see, a slightly larger ball of fur greated her. The light purple blanket was getting a little small as the now toddler pulled the blanket over her head. It seemed she had grown up over night... how odd... was that how Fourth Wallers grew?

After getting over the initial shock, Kitara reached down into the crib and hefted Katrina up as effortlessly as ever. "You've grown... obviously..." The collar around her waist seemed tight, so she loosened it to make it more comfortable. Her diaper was tight too... thankfully she had bought larger sizes and larger clothes beforehand. Afterall, she had no idea how Katrina was going to grow.

"Alright, time to get you into big girl clothes now!" The reaper smiled and hefted the pup on her hip. After changing her diaper she shifted through the few pairs of clothes she had bought. Katrina had always enjoyed running around in her diapers, never having been fond of clothing... so it was a more difficult task then one would think.

Kitara tried long-sleeve shirts, pants, anything that was warm enough for Katrina but loose enough for her not to complain. Still she whinned and threw them off, managing to tear a few of the shirts with her unretractable, longer claws. Finally the demoness gave in and dug out a pink floral halter top and a black pair of capris. Even though the toddler still disliked clothing, she seemed less fussy with the less she wore.

Once Katrina had the collar as a makeshift belt and the pink kitty plush in her grasp, her mother stood up and inspected her. "... It'll havta do. You don't seem to wanna wear anything more concervative." The pup just gave her an innocent stare, a word having not slipper her mouth.

"Hm..." Kitara frowned and picked the toddler up to head downstairs, absently wondering why she haden't started talking yet... she had expected her to be a baby for much longer. To... y'know, at least get a few single phrases and words out before growing. But here she was, carrying a toddler down the stairs that didn't say a word and only gave barks and whines in reply. Maybe she should ask someone about it...

Setting Katrina down, the hellspawn began to prepare some oatmeal. Hopefully she would eat solid food at least.

Once it was ready, Kitara turned around. "Alright Katrina, lets try some... muh?" Crimson eyes darted around. Where was she!? Setting the food down, she walked quickly into the living room and froze before passing the stairs. There, Katrina was climbing each step with a huge grin on her face, one hand dragging her plush behind.

"Sutcnas tihs!" The catgirl screeched, running up the stairs and snatching Katrina just as she started to tumble backwards. She swore her heart had started beating at the shock. "Nac oge non aitnecil sov orp sunu sudnuces?" Patting the tiny pup on the back and grabbed the doll she had dropped and walked down the stairs.

Katrina whinned and squirmed in her mother's grasp even though she knew it was futile. Though then once she was sat down at the table on a booster she stopped. Well... this was certainly new. Hugging her plushie, she watched as Kitara placed the bowl of oatmeal in front of her. She had put some meat in it in hopes of maybe coaxing her to eat it more... dogs like meat, right? Cat's did anyway.

The toddler leaned foreward and sniffed at it before turning up her nose and scowling at Kitara. "Naaaaah!" She frowned and reached for her adoptive mother. Where was her bottle?

"No, you havta try some of this. Your a big girl, remember?" Kitara sat down next to her and scooched her seat closer, picking up some with a spoon and holding it to Katrina's mouth. "Big girl food." From what she had seen, the pup's teeth were pretty much all in... why wouldn't she want to eat solid food?

Though no matter how hard she tried, the necromancer could not get Katrina to eat it. Eventually she caved in and fed her a bottle. She couldn't let her daughter go hungry.

After everything was finished and Katrina was cleaned up, Kitara got her dressed up to go out, much to the pup's distaste. "I think it's time we visit the Fourth Wall..." And so, with dog-girl in hand she headed out.

Ball!
(Katrina has a playdate with Jacosa and Akilah)

Kitara Kata
Kitara had peeked into Katrina's crib for quite the surprise this morning. Instead of a drooling bundle of black fur, she found a... slightly larger bundle of drooling black fur. The baby was larger, though still rather short and stubby for her age. Thinking this a good time to go back into the Fourth Wall, she fed Katrina a bottle (she still refused solid food) and dressed the puppy up before heading out.

Katrina held onto her adoptive mothers clawed hand and walked rather haphazardly next to her, free arm holding her pink kitty plushie in a death grip. Though of course, it still managed to drag a little in the dirt. But hey, a little dirt never hurt anyone! It added flavor. No matter what mommy said.

Eventually the two arrived at the Fourth Wall, the necromancer giving a knock before opening it and peeking in. Thankfully, it didn't look empty. "Helloooo!" She gave a fanged grin, having accidently forgotten the whole scare from last time.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Nodda baby." Akilah agreed happily, clinging onto his otter, little brown tail curled happily. "Big boy! Can walk and tell dawdie." 'Dawdie' was his drawn out, meerkat way of saying his father - he peeked at Patrick a little at that with a giggling squeak.

The fanged woman didn't bring a shriek of surprise to Akilah this time. he merely shifted his grip on Jacosa and squeaked again. "Fangy girl! Rowr. Big 'keelah!"

Patrick laughed softly at that, head shaking. "Car babies are interesting though.." He tapered off, peeking into the babies bubbe, looking her over curiously. "Hello there, fish baby."

Lenachan358
"That's great, we can play better now." Jacosa grinned and petted the smaller one's head. He was still like a little brother and he was much better than Nila, because Nila soo boring and Otieno was also soo boring.

As he mentioned his Daddy, Jacosa wondered if Ranjit was his Daddy. He had never called him like that before, he was only used to call Andraste Mommy.

He was just about to ask as he noticed someone enter, who was probably known to the meercat. "Hey there !" The otter smiled and turned back to the friend. "You know her ?"

Andraste greeted the newcomers and looked at Patrick. "It wasn't as bad as I thought...exhausting though. Her name's Nila."

Said one was staring at the man in disbelief. She had never seen a man without blue skin before being just acquainted to her daddy and to Jacosa right now. So perhaps he was a bit scary. One of her small fists moved in front of her eyes to protect her.

Kitara Kata
Wow, what a greeting. With a tiny laugh she ushered the pup in next to her and looked at Akilah. "Very big Akilah! I'm no match for you now!" With another smile Kitara kneeled down and began to unbutton the jacket her daughter was wearing, then remove her boots.

Meanwhile, Katrina had since begun to chew on the head of her stuffed toy in silence. Large brown eyes blinked and Jacosa and Akilah... having recalled encountering the meerkat once before. But the other she didn't know. He smelt okay, though.

Nodding a greeting to both Jacosa and the other woman with her baby, the reaper patted Katrina on her shoulders to get her attention while pushing some of the unruly short hair from her face. "You gonna go play with those two nice boys?" After receiveing a shy look and a tiny nod, she smiled. "Good... go on, now." Patting the little girl's rump to get her started, she stood up.

Unsteadily, the toddler wandered over to both the boys but stayed a few feet away... she didn't know if that one boy was the same one she had encounter before.

Making sure she kept an eye on Katrina, Kitara wandered over to the two adults, seeming to look like the youngest 'mother' there. "Hello Patrick, it's nice to see you again. My names Kitara." She said to the other woman with the baby, having not seen her before.

((Mine it seems! -=posts=-))

"Exhausting? Understandable. She's not a tiny little thing, are you, sweetheart?" His voice was warm and rather kind - nothing you'd expect from a sparkly man who looked like he'd rather stab you then smile. But he was smiling, fingers moving to wave at her gently.

"Are you scared of me, hun? Don't be~ I'm nice. I promise." He laughed softly, head shaking a bit with a faint smirk before facing Kitara. "Hey, lady. What's up?"

Akilah just laughed, nuzzling into Akilah happily. "Play more! Play better!" A chittering giggle, brush of a tail wriggling happily before peering at the dog curiously. "'Sa doggie. Goes woof woof."

Lenachan358
"Hello, I'm Cosa." The otter introduced himself to the girl, who appeared to be a bit shy. "You're a dog ? That's nice." In fact, he wasn't sure if it was really so nice, because dog's usually haunted the postman and if she followed the postman, he'd never receive his pen pal's letters.

"What would you two like to play ? " Jacosa was up for anything at the moment.

"Andraste, nice to meet you." The woman said and wondered how well adjusted she had become. Earlier she had just nodded. Perhaps it was the baby's fault ?

Nila listened to the voice and slowly lowered her hand again. The person smiled at her and he was closer now. She seemed to think about her actions for a moment as she mirrored the man's behaviour and smiled slightly.

Kitara Kata
((Ooo, my post? ^^))

"Nothing really, Katrina seems to have... grown up in her sleep." Kitara said, glancing back to the pup then to the others. "It's nice to meet you as well... and who is this?" She smiled down at the baby, though made sure her fangs stayed hidden... just in case.

Woof woof? Katrina blinked, her head tilting slightly and barked in reply with a smile. Her tag wagged a little bit behind her as she took a step towards them. Cosa? That was a nice name... Though she didn't introduce herself... yet at least. "Paaaaaay?" She asked, her first 'word'.

nozomi_ga_kanau
[[This is continued from page 245 of the main thread. biggrin ]]

"Play ball?" Akilah questioned curiously, little claws still curled around the otters fur happily, tail fluffing up happily. "Ball! Throw an' catch and roooooll ball! Play ball!"

The idea was quickly catching on, the meerkat giving a soft squeal. "Woof woof an' cosa and Keelah play ball! Ball! Cosa got ball?"

He was a chatty little crap wasn't he? No more 'chirrups' or 'churrs' for that little sucker.

Patrick almost died from the cuteness of that baby smiling at him, voice taking on a cute little lilt and smiling more at the child. "You're such a little cutie, yes you are! You're just a little doll, baby!" He was crooning, colorful fingers wriggling tenderly with a laugh.

"Oh, GOD, Andraste, you have to breed more. She is absolutely too cute for words."

Lenachan358
Playing ball sounded like a nice idea to the otter. At least the two toddlers wouldn't have problems and finally he was in the center of attention again. Everybody else was o so busy with his new sister.

"Yes, ball sounds nice. But I don't have one." Jacosa admitted and allowed his hands to play with his shirt for a moment, before he pointed at the toybox in the corner of the room. "O remember ? One should be inside." He smiled at the smaller ones and moved towards the box digging for a ball.

Nila started to frown as the man's fingers came closer, but as she noticed that it weren't dangerous spiders she started to laugh and squeal.

"Wohoo, usually she's quiet. Good job." Andraste smiled and glanced at Jacosa for a moment before turning back to Patrick. "Please, no talking about pregnancy again. I'm glad fishbaby is here and she's nice and doesn't have a strange fishtail."

Kitara Kata
Katrina blinked and stood where she was as she listened to Akilah blabber on, most of which went right past her head. Then Jacosa wandered over to the toy box. She took a step foreward, hugging her kitty plushie close. How did you play ball? "Baaaaallll?" Man, she was on a roll with these new words.

Kitara smiled as she watched Patrick and the small baby. She was content to simply watch, so she took a seat nearby and set down the diaper bag and other things she normally had to carry while taking Katrina somewhere.

nozomi_ga_kanau

Akilah would never be an easy one to understand - he was a hyper little thing and probably always would be. "Ball!" He affirmed cheerfully with a squeal towards Kitara, small brown tail wriggling much like a dog would. "One ball! Ball play with!"

Another nod and he was toddling after Jacosa in the clumsy, slightly stilted way of a toddler, small claws digging into the floor. "Cosa got ball?"

Patrick smiled when the baby responded to him, laughing and tickling gently at her chin. "No pregnancy for you? Mm..alright." His voice was slightly distracted as he played with the baby, a grin on his lips.

"She's quiet? Really? Hurrah~ I'm good with kids!"

Lenachan358
Jacosa smiled at the girl as he pulled out a very colorful little ball. "Yes, ball. Like this one. We roll it and toss it and the other ones catch it."

He grinned at Akilah, who was very hyper and offerd the ball to him. "Keela, you start." Quickly he moved over towards the puppy girl and waited for the meercat to throw the ball.

"Yes, you are. I never doubted it when seing how you deal with Akilah." Andraste had a good day and finally smiled nicely.

Nila giggled, but very suddenly she grabbed one of the large fingers and waved her hand around as if it was prey. She knew these things, mommy and daddy had them too.

Kitara Kata
Katrina blinked and stood where she was a few feet from the toybox and the meerkat. Large brown eyes then watched as Jacosa came back over towards her. For now she remained silent, wondering what was going to happen next.

The necromancer remained silent as well, her chin resting in her hands. A smile was on her face as she watched Patrick interact with the woman's baby. Something was deeply sad about the look on her face though, as could be seen in her eyes. They seemed to almost never get touched with her smiles.

nozomi_ga_kanau
Akilah would forever be hyper! He's a spazztic little furry rodent, after all. He squealed, happily, claws clamping over the ball. It wasn't as sturdy as his purple one at home, but it was a ball all the same!

His face twisted up before letting the ball fall to the ground. he'd seen his brother do this one - twice? - before and boy did it look fun! His leg reeled back and right when it connected with the ball, sending it rolling to the other two, the meerkat fell right on his a**.

And started a squallor.

Patrick grinned at Nila, finger shifting and wriggling just barely in the others grasp, tugging gently. Then he heard Akilah, looking up quickly with a frown. "Akilah?"

"F-Floor!" The meerkat bawled from his position on the floor. "Hurt Kella butt!"

"....."

Lenachan358
Jacosa was about to talk to Katrina about the ballgame as he watched Akilah's strange actions. The ball was probably a bit too big for him to do something like this. But he kept quiet, because he didn't intend to hurt the friend by telling him to stop.

Somehow it didn't work out right anyway as Keela landed on his butt. Quickly the otter moved towards the toddler and frowned. "Are you hurt ? Do you bleed ?"

Andraste watched the scene before turning to Kitara. "Are you alright ? You seem quite sad to me."

Nila wiggled and tried to regain the attention she had before.

Kitara Kata
The puppy's ears perked as the meerkat fell to the floor. Oh noes! Was he hurt? She waddled over, dragging her toy behind her. Looking from Akilah, to the otter, then to her mother she let out a whimpering sound. Brown eyes then went back to Akilah, unsure of what to do.

Kitara's head shot up at the meerkat's cry, though once she heard his explaination she couldn't help but giggle a little. Her chin rested back on her gloved palm, black cat ears twitching at Andraste's voice. "Hm?" She blinked, looking up at her. "... Oh. Heh, don't mind me." A nervous smile graced her prepubesent features as she tried to waves the woman's concern off. "I'm alright, really." Even though she didn't sound very convincing, she didn't seem to want anyone to be overly concerned about her.

nozomi_ga_kanau
"Floor..hurt..b-butt!" He wailed again, hiccuping and grabbing for his otter friend. Jacosa once more became a tree, Akilah using him to cling and pull himself up, small nose being pressed against the brown furr. "....no bleed."

Another pause, eyes going about and to the puppy. "Ball?"

Patrick rolled his eyes at Akilahs single-mindedness over the ball, glancing over to Andraste. "May I hold her?" He knew Yashima liked to be held..the quiet fox-boy often clutched and hid his face but he was happier when he was held. His tail was more relaxed.

Fingers went to tickle under Nilas chin. gootchi gootchie goo!

Lenachan358
Jacosa seemed a bit insecure himself, but decided to pet Akilah's head. The otter was pretty confused as the meercat seemed to recover very quickly and demanded the ball. Shrugging slightly he offered the ball to the puppy. "Your turn. Roll the ball to Keela."

Somehow he liked the role of the older one and grinned proudly that he had managed the situation once again. Was his mother looking ?

No, she was busy with Nila. Gently she picked up the blue baby, who started to wriggle her feet at once. "Sure, go ahead, Patrick." Handing the infant to the man, Andraste grinned and turned to Kitara slightly worried.

"Sure. But if there's ever anything, you know, as women do and so on..." She had never actually offered anyone much help, so she seemed a bit uncomfortable herself.

Nila giggled loudly as she was tickled.

Kitara Kata
Ball? Oh, right. Katrina looked at the ball she was offered. The plushie in her arms was dropped to the ground and she leaned towards the ground. Setting it down, she gave it a push towards Akilah. Was that how ball was played?

The reaper smiled and nodded to Andraste, eager to change the subject. "Is she your first?"

nozomi_ga_kanau
Poor Jacosa! He'd have to get used to it, if he ever got an emotional girlfriend. The meerkat churred happily at the others petting, head leaning in and nibbling at his fingers. "Roll ball to Keela!" he repeated, nodding at the other furry boys and girls.

Once the ball came towards him - Akilah squealed, scampering over to the rolling thing and clamping his arms around it. He rolled with the sphere, giggling and chittering before pushing it back at Jacosa, ears perked and alert. "Roll ball, Cosa! Cosa roll roll!" Oh...energy...

Patrick smiled, scooping the little blue fishbaby from Andrastes hands. "Hey there, you adorable little squidhat." He grinned at her, one hand tickling at the girls stomach once more, quite skilled at tickling and holding a baby at the same time. "Sooo cute, yes you are!"

Lenachan358
With a slight smile of accomplishment Jacosa watched the ball. Katrina had managed to roll it towards Akilah, who seemed to be very happy about receiving the toy. The otter wondered how somebody so small was able to be so happy about something even if his butt was supposed to hurt.

"Yeah, yeah, stay coool." Stressing the last word the boy felt like one of these kids from movies, who were the leader of the gang. He was the gang leader, he was calm.

Gently he pushed the ball towards the dog girl and hoped it wouldn't hurt her like it hurt Keela.

"My first own one." Andraste answered to Kitara's question and looked at the playing otter. "But Jac was with me before." The mother shrugged not quite sure if she was able to call him her own. She somehow had the desire to do so though, but she knew that even Jacosa was somehow distrusting the whole thing.

Nila's giggling echoed through the room as she was tickled by the funny man. Her small arms were busily moving from side to side whereas her legs were kicking the air with pleasure. Still she was far calmer than other babies.

Kitara Kata
Katrina watched the ball come towards her, leaning down and stopping it once it got close enough. Grinning at such a wonderful acheivement, she turned the ball carefully towards Akilah and let it roll again. This game called 'ball' was fun!

Kitara nodded to the woman and then glanced over at Jacosa. She seemed to drop into an awkward silence, talking and making small talk having never been her strong point.

nozomi_ga_kanau
Akilah squealed happily, little clawed feet tap-tapping at the floor as he meandered a bit closer to that rolling sphere of delight. Oh, the fun! Oh, the amazingness!

--Oh, his beeper going off.

Patrick winced as the loud noise rang through the air, making his son drop the ball and start shrieking as it hurt his sensitive ears. The meerkat dove behind Kitara, hands clamped to his fluffy ears as the dark man gently put Nila into her crib and grabbing at his beeper like a madman.

"...damnit!" His voice was soft (as to not corrupt the innocent) and the pierced things head shook. "I'm so sorry, but I have to run. Doctor wants me to come in for something."

Lenachan358
It seemed like Katrina finally got the game and Jacosa grinned, because he enjoyed the younger ones' faces. Making people happy was a nice thing to do especially if they were friends.

"We're so good friends !" The otter announced happily as he suddenly heard the shrieking sound and covered his ears not having heard something like this ever before.

His eyes followed Patrick's movement, but he still didn't know what do think about it. As he though noticed that it wasn't something scary, Jacosa started to grin. "Coool ! Can I get one ?"

Nila didn't like to be put back into the crib and pouted, but as she sound could be heard she was the only one that started to giggle. Andraste raised and eyebrow telling Jacosa no before turning to her baby. "Strange fishbaby..."

"Doctor ? Are you ill, Patrick ?" Andraste's eyes rested on Kitara for a moment before looking at the one she almost considered a friend.

Kitara Kata
Kitara's sensitive ears drew back as well, wincing slightly until the beeper was quieted. She looked behind herself at Akilah, a gloved hand reaching down as she gave a small smile... though made sure her fangs were concealed. Her hand patted and pet his head a little until the beeping stopped. "S'alright little guy." Crimson gaze then traveled up to Patrick after patting her own daughter's head, she looked from Andraste to the man. She had the same question. It didn't... seem that the man was ill.

Katrina's paws flew up to her ears as well, yipping at the loud sound. Her tail tucked between her legs and she ran-waddled over to her mother. Her tiny claws wrapped around one of the buckles on her boots.

nozomi_ga_kanau
Oh, if Patrick could blush... but given his complexion, all he did was shake his head, nose wrinkling up mildly. "I have an appointment at a... well.." A pause, lips pursing a bit in embaressment. "It's all very complicated but I think I might be pregnant. So I'm going to the doctors to see...you know...for sure.."

Shockingly enough, the hate-filled little meerkat let the woman pet him, even churring and leaning up into that hand. "Dawdie egget!" He repeated dutifully, parroting the words that he'd heard both his caregivers say over and over again.

"Cosa egget! Woofie egget! Eee! Cosa!" The otter had once more caught the meerkats attention, pitter-pattering and diving at his friend with a squeal. His fathers embaressment was forgotten.

Lenachan358
Andraste blinked and stared at Patrick not quite able to close her mouth. Gasping her eyes turned to his belly and then a wide grin spread on her face. "NOW you feel the pain of the fishbaby disease !" Laughter escaped her lips as she glanced at Nila, who seemed to be a pretty confused baby.
She was very much joking, because she didn't think anything bad about Patrick, but the circumstance was just too funny for her.

"We'll have to talk about it once when you've got time." Andraste grinned.

Jacosa was a bit disappointed and his tail dropped as he heard that he wasn't allowed to get one of these beepers. Keela would get a baby too ? Wow that was interesting !

"Yeah Keela, cool. Then we let Nila and your sister play. Do you have sisters ?" He looked at the puppy girl and smiled. If she had they could do baby racings.

Kitara Kata
Egget? Pregnant? What now? The puppy blinked and looked between the adults towering above her to the jumpy little meerkat. What was going on?! "Arrrr?" She questioned with a frown.

Crimson eyes blinked, and she couldn't hide the look of utter surprise, envy and... saddness for a mere second. Though as soon as it appeared, it vanished and Kitara forced a smile. "Congratulations Patrick."

Katrina looked at Jacosa. "Sisser?" Was it something like the baby in the other woman's arms? "No..." She frowned and looked up at her adoptive mother. "Mommy we get sisser?" Maybe they could buy one at the store!

In that instint, the necromancer's body seemed to lock up. She took in a sharp intake of breath even though her body didn't require it. Cat-like eyes went wide with what looked to be pure horror and misery, the brims watering up but no tears escaping them. Her arms shook and she forced herself to blink and force another smile while looking down at her daughter. She had to be brave... for her. "Sorry sweety, I'm afraid we can't get you a sister."

The toddler frowned and wanted to ask why but... something seemed wrong with her mommy. So her tiny maw remained shut, brown eyes peeling away from her caretaker to look at the two boys.

Flappy Hat!
(Part I)

Quote:
Mark sat, slumped lazily on the sofa - a mug of tea in his hand. God, he was bored. He'd done nothing but listen to Lidiya making phonecalls to various corners of the world. There was a moment of quiet now as she sat beside him, her legs stretched out along the sofa so that her feet rested his lap. A sketch pad lay beside her on the floor. She'd been scribbling away in it for most of the day.

Quote:
Most of her day had been spent with Rabid, so Kitara was in a slightly better mood then she had been previous. Though today she would probably end up dragging the trio into Gaia again... it all depended on how things went. Gradually she walked down the street and up to their home, not bothering to knock on the door and simply opening it up and stepping inside.

Quote:
"Hello" Mark said, smiling up at her. The Vampiress offered a cheerful wave. "You're looking a little more cheerful today." she said, lifting her feet from Mark's lap and swinging them back round to the floor again.

Quote:
"Hey." The necromancer offered a small smile before closing the door behind her. "Yeah, spent some nice time with sister today." She approached the sofa and leaned on the back, but of course, didn't sit down.

Quote:
"How's she?" Mark enquired, tilting his head around to look up at her. He wondered how long it'd take Lidiya to moan about her sofa not being sat on - especially since she had moved her legs aside specifically to allow Kitara to sit there.

Quote:
"Good... y'know, the usual." Kitara gave a tiny shrug, unable to really explain how her sister was doing. "A little less insane, a little more level-headed today." Cat-like eyes glanced to Lidiya, then where her legs once occupied. ... Eh, what the hell. She jumped over the back, landing in the empty spot lightly.

Quote:
Lidiya grinned down at the demoness, her fangs showing slightly. "You learn quickly." she said, smiling. Mark snorted out a laugh before taking another sip of his tea. "I suppose we're having a little outing today then?" he asked.

Quote:
The reaper snorted as well, but turned to Mark once he spoke. "Outing?" She raised a brow.

Quote:
"To see all your fluffy friends again." He replied. "And to stop Kaiser from sulking." He smirked, prodding the mass of grey fur that was curled under the coffee table.

Quote:
"Ah, right." Kitara leaned down, looking over to Lidiya for a moment. "By the way, Katrina is talking now. Slurred and not very well, but it's something." Her crimson gaze then returned to Kaiser. "Awww, do you miss Kasindaaaa?" She smirked, thinking his little crush on her banthi being incredibly adorable.

Quote:
The Vampiress smiled. "Told you she'd be fine." she said, nodding. Kaiser's lifted hist to peer up from beneath the coffee table - almost smashing against the bottom of it. "Kai feels bored without her." he said.

Quote:
"Ah, so you miss playing with her?" She smiled, sitting up a little. Her gloved hands folded on her lap.

Quote:
The wolf tilted his head. "No, not that. Kai misses more." getting a straight answer from him would probably be difficult - not just because of the way he spoke, but because he had a tendacy to view things in the most complex way he could.

Quote:
"Oh? Like what?" Thankfully, the demoness had patience... at least when it came to Kaiser and most other quadrupeds.

Quote:
"Kai does not know words." He replied, crawling ot from under the table to sit up infront of Kitara. "Kai does know any other like her." His tail curled around his feet as he looked at Kitara. Lidiya smirked at him momentarily, then bending forward to pick up her sketch pad.

Quote:
Kitara smiled broadly, sitting up so she was more eye-level with him. "You'll find the words eventually." She ruffled between his ears and scratched behind them before leaning farther back. "So when are you three up to going?"

Quote:
Mark looked at Lidiya, since she would be the only one who had anything to do here. She paused momentarily, looking at the drawing in her pad. "Whenever you're ready" She finally replied. glancing to Kitara. "I can put this stuff off. It's not important."

Quote:
"Put what stuff off?" The hellspawn blinked, looking at the sketchpad in her hands.

Quote:
Lidiya smiled and held up the sketch pad, flipping it round so that Kitara could see. A rough image of a rather fancy looking coat was on it, drawn to fit onto a rather familiar looking female body. The coat had 3 horizontal straps around its waist, and one vertical one that trailed up to the neck. The Vampiress grinned. "Put off designing my new coat and bitching at tailors." she said.

Quote:
"Ah, alright. Though I dunno if you'll need your coat or not..." Kitara trailed off and stood up, walking to behind the sofa and materializing her scythe. There she tore open a portal, making sure it 'pointed' away from Lidiya. Sure enough, light from the other end poured out and onto Kitara and the area behind her. "Yeah, it's bright out today. I can fix that though."

Quote:
"I can wear the other one." The Vampiress replied, shrugging. "Even if it does have a hole in it." Mark laughed. "Yeah, that 9-millimeter hole is REALLY noticable." he said, rolling his eyes.

Quote:
"You'll be alright in that when it's this bright?" The catgirl raised a brow, jumping up onto the portal and straddeling the opening with one foot on each side. Her head peered in, looking up at the sun that was blazeing down. Even the snow on the ground had melted a good bit.

Quote:
"I'm not your run of the mill Vampire." Lidiya said as she stood up, wandering over to the coat hanger and putting the long leather garment over her shoulders. "I'm a member of Vampiric nobility, remember." she smirked, amused that she had such high status among the undead even though she had done almost nothing to achieve it.

Quote:
Kitara merely replied with a twitch of her tail and a hop through the portal. The snow was to mid-shin and rather soggy. She kicked it around a little, the warmth from the sun allowing her to stay outside while she waited.

Quote:
Mark was first to follow. keeping with Kaiser close by him as they hopped through the portal together. He didn't want to have to cough him out again - it hurt like hell. Mark squinted, the snow reflecting up into his eyes. "If she doesn't burst into flames, I'll be mighty impressed." he said.

Quote:
The necromancer remained silent, walking back and forth near the portal as she waited. "Well, I offered." She wouldn't be surprised if Lidiya didn't burst into flames, little surprised her anymore. Though she had a feeling she would since... well, nothing was invincible. Even if you were of noble blood, that didn't make you immune to all of your species' weaknesses. Afterall, nothing was perfect.

Quote:
Lidiya stepped through the portal, almost cautiously. Her hat was pulled down over her head, and her hands were rolled up into her sleeves. The hat shielded her from the sun - but it did not shield her from the light which reflected back up from the snow. "Oh, god that's horrible!" she winced, scunching her eyes up as she stood in the snow. A vague hissing sound could be heard as grey wisps of steam rolled up from her face.

Quote:
"See?" Kitara said rather nonchalantly, a gloved hand raised into her mouth as she blew onto it. A small, shadow-like puff came from her mouth and formed into a ball in her palm. She then threw it down into the snow, shattering it like glass once it hit the frozen earth beneath. The darkness that seemed to be trapped inside flew upward, converting the sky to a black sheet. It seemed to span a couple of yards, only a small amount of light coming from the sides so they could see where they were going.

Quote:
"Oh, that's cool s**t." Mark smirked, looking up at the blackness above him. Lidiya raised a brow. "I could do with that ability." she said, poking a finger at her own face. Her skin gave way immediately and her finger sank into a mass of raw, fried flesh. She pulled her finger out again, covered in blood. "Ugh." she said, the colours in her face cycling through various shades of red and pink as she used her Vampirism to repair the damage.

Quote:
"Yeah, sadly I don't use it much. Sometimes it's a shame knowing so much magik but never getting to use it." After closing the portal, the reaper pushed through the snow to the all too familiar log cabin. The curtains pulled closed by themselves and the door opened even though no one was behind it.

Quote:
Lidiya smiled, watching the curtains close - mmm... Darkness. She liked that. Kaiser follwed her in, looking around at the wooden furnishings. Mark smirked at Kitara before stepping in. "You're being rather considerate, seeing as how much she pisses you off at times." he said.

Quote:
"While your here, your my guests. I treat all my guests with upmost hospitality." The reaper stuck her tongue out in jest as she walked inside and slipped off her wet boots. She waited until all of them were inside to close the door. The second it clicked shut, the darkness from outside vanished and a small amount of light shown from behind the curtains. Simultaniously, the lights came on above. "Kasinda is upstairs in the playroom." She said to Kaiser before turning back to the others. "You two want anything?"

Quote:
"Unless you have some willing blood donors, I'm fine." Lidiya smiled, pulling her boots of as she had done before - Mark, ofcourse, didn't. Kai padded off out of the living room and made his way upstairs, trying to remember the layout of the building. He prodded his head around the first door he came to.

Quote:
"No tea, Mark?" Kitara inquired as she made her way towards the kitchen and stairs. Sure enough, Kasinda was laying where Gareth had once been. Her body lay sprawled out lazily through the numerous pillows and cushions, appearing to be taking a nap.

Quote:
"Sure." he said, more tea was fine by him - even if he had only just finished drinking one minutes ago, it didn't matter. He could drink the stuff all day. Kaiser wandered through room of scattered toys and quietly sat beside her - his eyes and ears briefly scanning the surroundings for any sign of, as he knew them - 'long eared one' and 'upright puppy'.

Quote:
"Alright." For now the demoness passed the stairs and went into the kitchen. Neither Katrina nor Gareth seemed to be in the room, though from any sound that the wolf might have been able to pick up, it sounded like both of them were in the toddler's room. Even though Kaiser sat not a foot away, Kasinda didn't move... some hunter she was. She lay on her side, the missing limb being in full view. Her chest heaved slowly up and down as she napped, oblivious of her surroundings.

Quote:
Kaiser lowered his head to her sleeping form - Just as well Kasinda was a predator - were she something lower down the food chain she'd be as good as dead already. The wolf sniffed at her. She smelled very... domestic - much unlike himself, though he still carried the sweet smell of tar pit he had sunken into all those milennia ago. Mark sat down beside Lidiya, who seemed to be unbuttoning her coat. Heaven forbid that she be seen wearing something with a hole in.

Quote:
After a few clinks and the sound of the stove being turned on, Kitara's voice carried out from the kitchen. "Same tea as last time, Mark?" The tripod's ear flicked back at the sniff, causing her to blink and then stirr a little. Yellow eyes turned and blinked at Kaiser a few times before they widdened. "WOAH!" Her rear twisted, jostling her up into a sitting position among the pillows. The thick fur along her neck was raised, though seemed to lay back down a bit once she realized who it was. "Oh, Kaiser! ... Jesus, you scared me. You shoulda woke me up!" She glared, though it was mostly in jest.

Quote:
"Yeah, that'll be great." Mark answered, a smirk on his face as he watched Kaiser's actions. He didn't really understand how or why he could see through Kaiser's eyes, but it was fun all the same. The dire wolf sat before Kasinda, looking down at her - "Kai is sorry." he said. "But it appears that Kai has already woken you up."

Quote:
"Alrighty." A couple more minutes passed before the hellspawn rentered and handed a mug to him filled with the hot liquid. "I'll go fetch Katrina and Gareth." Turning, she then headed up the stairs. "No, I meant when you first came in... and it's okay." Kasinda said as she licked some drool from her maw. "So what're you doin' here again?"

Quote:
"Kai just came to see you, is all." The wolf said, curling his tail around himself - something he did a lot. Kai's ear's twitched, picking up the sound of Kitara's footsteps as she came up the the stairs. "Brother and Mistress are downstairs. Kai thinks Mistress came to scare Gareth even more."

Quote:
Kitara walked passed the room they were in and went into Katrina's room. Sure enough there sat the tiny pup and Gareth. The kitsu seemed to be laying there allowing her to mess with his ears. An egg also lay next to him. "Gareth, Lidiya is here and no doubt wants to see you. Can you bring the egg down with you too?" Walking into the room, she hefted Katrina into her arms as Gareth picked up the basket the egg was sitting in and followed her back down the stairs reluctantly. "To see me?" The banthi raised a brow, looking at him curiously but the thought was simply brushed aside. Kaiser was weird, after all. "She better not give him a heart-attack. That'll give me one less person to play with." Kas frowned, yellow eyes looking up at Kaiser.

Quote:
Kai didn't really understand humour - taking the heart attack comment as being far more serious that it actually was. "No, Mistress does not kill that way." he replied "And yes, Kai came to see you." he said, his tail flipping back round to curl around himself again, but from the other side. Lidiya smiled, hearing Kitara's conversation with Gareth - the wooden walls were easy to hear through.

Quote:
Soon enough, the catgirl came down the stairs with a very older looking Katrina in her arms and a basket-holding kitsusagi behind her. "Don't scare him too much, he's got an egg to watch over." She smirked and sat down on the couch, Katrina on her lap. The tiny pup blinked, looking over at both of them while gnawing on a rather beraggled looking pink kitty plushie. Gareth stopped at the foot of the stairs and looked at Lidiya, though stayed where he was. "She shouldn't kill at ALL. That's how I see it." The femme said as-a-matter-of-factly, sitting up straight. "But anyway, I guess if you came to see me you probably wanna play or somethin', right?" She asked, looking around the toy-littered room.

Quote:
"Kai will do anything you like. Kai doesn't mind." The ancient canine answered, looking down at her. Lidiya remained sat on the sofa, he coat folded up slightly and hung over the back of it. She smiled, up at Kitara and Katrina, then looked over at the long-eared creature peering at her from the bottom of the staircase. "Come in Gareth. This is your home, not mine." she said, smiling. Aside from from a beckoning gesture, she didn't move. Mark looked at the humanoid puppy, amused by the fact that she was using the effigy of a cat as a chewtoy.

Quote:
Kitara bounced the toddler on her knee a couple times, the toddler blinked as she caught sight of Mark. Immediantly her face lit up once she recongnized him (or caught the scent of him being a male). "Maaaaaarrrrr!" Her version of 'Mark', apparently Kitara had been trying to get her to say quiet a few things while she could. Tiny paws reached out to him, the necromancer looking up at Mark. "You wanna hold her?" It was obvious who Katrina wanted more. This seemed to always happen with guys... both Mark and Patrick had gotten the same reaction out of her. The scarred kitsu blinked two-toned eyes at Lidiya, but sat down where he was and set the basket in front of him. Large ears pulled back as he cowered a little. "Well..." Kasinda stood and walked off the pillows to scan the room. Once in awhile she would nudge a ball or toy. "Do you have ANY idea what you wanna play? Or talk? Or whatever? I'm still a little drowsy from my nap." She said with a large yawn, her teeth being that of a combined canine and feline.

Quote:
"Kai can tell you many things." The wolf said, looking over at Kasinda. "Kai is happy to answer your questions. Kai heard from Kitara that you had many after he left." Mark looked at the puppy momentarily. How he hated black dogs.... Though she looked pleasant enough. "Sure." he said, reaching out to accept Katrina. Lidiya smiled at the puppy, then looked back at Gareth. "Who's in there?" she grinned, looking at the egg.

Quote:
The reaper smiled and handed Katrina over along with her plushie. The puppy grinned and reached up at Mark's face with stubby little arms. "Ehhheee!" The demoness couldn't help but laugh, seeing the irony of the situation. Gareth looked from Lidiya to the brown and black egg wrapped in the light blue blanket in front of him. He gave a small churr, nudging it with his scarred nose. "That's Hex, she's a baby of Rabid's kitsusagi. She ended up having four eggs so she kept one and gave one to me to care for." The hellspawn answered for him, having recognized the sound he gave. "Well, obviously. You said you were dead or something, didn't you?" Kasinda walked back over to him, her body flopping down on the pillows. She patted them with her only forepaw, a gesture for him to lay down and make himself comfortable too.

Quote:
The wolf nodded, wandering over to pile of pillows. "Kai thinks he will make your pillows smell of tar though." He said, standing ontop of them before hesitantly sitting beside her. Lidiya nodded, looking at the egg. "Gazzy's gonna get a little playmate then?" she smiled at him. Mark said nothing, looking down at the rather excited looking puppy in his arms. He raised a hand, allowing Katrina's tiny paw to rest against it.

Quote:
It was at this time that Kitara sort of leaned back and remained silent, though her eyes seemed to be hooked on her adopted daughter and Mark, just to make sure. Making small baby sounds, the canine put her chubby hand on Mark's. Her palms were furry yet rough, pads covering her palm and finger tips. Even though her claws were getting longer, they weren't really all that sharp. Seeing the size difference she made a small squeeling sound and the grabbed onto his thumb with one hand and his pinky with the other. Gareth nodded, his head still lowered to about the same level as the egg even though his eyes remained on Lidiya. He looked tired and a little fatigued, though it was how he almost always looked. "Tar? That's that icky gooey stuff, right?" The banthi asked, looking up at him... then glaring playfully and patting the pillows again. "Lay down, make yerself comfortable. S'not like you havta sit at attention or anything." She smirked, having flopped down on her stomach with her paw in front of her and her tail curled around her creme form.

Quote:
Mark smirked, amused by Kasinda's fascination with something so simple and ordinary as his hand. The Vampiress seemed to be focused on Gareth and the egg that he appeared to have been left in charge of. "That poor creature in there will freeze if you leave it there." she said. "Bring it here where it's warmer." she patted the sofa beside her, urging Gareth to bring the egg to her. "You look like you could use a rest too." she smiled. Upstairs, Kaiser swished his tail around and lowered himself down, laying on his side next to Kasina - stretching out his legs and placing one huge paw next to Kasinda's. "Yes." he said. "Kai wandered into a tar pit and sunk into it."

Quote:
The catgirl smiled as she watched, tail swishing and then flopping next to her to hang off the side of the couch. Katrina wiggled the fingers she had in her grasp and then moved onto the others to do the same thing. Once she had finished that, she placed both of her paws onto Mark's with her tail still wagging behind her. The grey male sat where he was for awhile longer, looking from the egg to Lidiya and then back again. Hesitantly he stood and picked up the basket, taking a few hesitant steps foreward. Though by how his limbs were moving one could tell if the least bit frightened him he would shoot off like a bullet. "So that's how you died?" Kasinda looked up at him, a sad frown on her maw. "That musta been horrible... What brought you back?"

Quote:
Mark closed his hand, squeezing Katrina's tiny paws together for a moment. "You're rather playful aren't you?" he said, smirking at her as ger tail swung this way and that. Lidiya watched as the Kitsusagi trembled, edging towards her. She remained still for now, knowing how nervous he was - though she didn't, and would probably never understand why. She just sat, her hand positioned on the sofa. "You can come curl up here next to me if you're feeling a little more trusting today." she said, trying to sound as gentle as she could. Kaiser nodded at Katrina again, closing his eyes for a moment. "It takes quite some time to all the way into it aswell." he said. "Kai ended up with a strange man called Charon and a man with a scythe. They took him to Limbo and gave Kai this name." he paused for a moment, his tail flopping back on itself. "Kai stayed there for many milennia, before he wound up in Vampire's head."

Quote:
Katrina giggled once her paws vanished, her toes wiggling. "Paaaaay." She nodded in affirmation before dropping her hands and looking around. There were a couple of her toys scattered about, but none seemed very interesting her at the moment. Gnawing on her plushie a little, she stared up at Mark and noticed something similar to her... he had ears! A huge grin as she giggled and held her floppy ears out, mistaking the earflaps on his hat for actual ears. Gareth stopped once he was near the couch, though didn't jump up onto it. Instead he sat behind the arm she was nearest to. It gave enough of a hidding spot but was a little closer to her. "Charon? Who's that?"

Quote:
"Charon is the ferry man who escorts the dead to the underworld." Kaiser responded, wriggling slightly to get comfortable. Mark raised a brow for moment, wondering what Katrina was trying to communicate by holding her ears. He paused in thought. "Ohhh... My hat?" He said, lifting the fluffy Ushanka from his head. He looked at it in his hand for a moment, then put it on Katrina's head. Lidiya peered over the arm of the sofa, smiling at Gareth, amused by his decision to hide behind it. "C'mon, don't be shy." she said. "Trust me." Her words seemed to be pursuasive, but she made no move towards him. She was going to let him do things himself... and she didn't want him to drop that egg either.

Quote:
"WAAAROOO!" The toddler equivilant of 'woah', probably. She blinked, the front of the ushanka resting on her maw. Pushing it up with her hands she she could see Mark again, she looked from his head to the hat and finally realized that it wasn't part of his head. Afterall, she hadn't seen him without it. "Aroooo..." She pulled it back over her eyes and grinned, making flapping motions with the sides as she held them in tiny clawed hands. It was like a plane! A plane... hat thing. Gareth simply 'murr'ed in reply, staying firm where he was. He lay down, the basket between his paws and his body tensed. "Ohhh, I see. So Mark is a vampire? I thought he was a human." The spotted creme raised a brow, bright yellow eyes still watching Kaiser.

Quote:
Mark laughed at Katrina's reaction, watching her examine the the hat. He glanced up at Kitara. "How big's she gonna get?" he asked. Lidiya glanced at the puppy momentarily, then back down at Gareth. "Relax babe." She said, smiling down at him. "You'll get cramp if you stay tense like that." She looked at him for a moment, her ruby eyes gazing upon him as he lay there. Her irises twitched and appeared to rotate as she looked at the scars about his body, looking at each of them in detail. She eventually sat up again, choosing to leave him alone until he felt safer. Kaiser looked into Kasinda golden eyes, his ears twitching despite the fact that he didn't hear Kasinda through them. "He was a Vampire... but the curse was broken somehow... He has lost almost all of his Vampiric traits."

Quote:
"I can't say for sure... she's supposedly a black lab and terrier mix. How she looks now it seems like she's going to be short and chubby." Kitara shrugged, not really sure herself. "None of the other Fourth Wallers are any older then a child, so theirs no telling." Dropping her hands, the pup then turned the ushanka around on her head to wear it sideways, then backwards, then sideways... Gareth churred, his tails giving a twitch. The scars that were visable seemed to have been made a long time ago and were deep and jagged, probably caused by large claws. Other smaller scars littered his body under his fur, almost infinate in number. Whatever had gotten him when he was younger sure had it's way with him. Though probably the deepest of the scars was the ones on his face. "But how can the curse be broken? He still has vampire abilities, right? So it's not broken. Just... uh... partially seevered?" The femme asked moreso then stated.

Quote:
Kaiser nodded. "The only things he seems to have retained are the abilty to summon me and to still be bound to Mistress." He said. "Part of it remains, yes." The wold prodded his snout towards Kasinda's fur, sniffing randomly. He used his nose a lot more than the feline seemed to. Mark just nodded silently, watching Katrina play around with his hat as Lidiya proceeded to dig around in the pockets of her coat, presumably to see if she had brought any blood with her... Looking at all those scars had probably given her a slight thirst.

Quote:
Finally, the hat was back to normal and pushed far enough up on her head so she could see. She liked this hat! Katrina smiled and wiggled about on Mark's lap before stopping and looking over to her adoptive mother. "Naaaaah." She frowned and reached for her, grabbing at air with her paws. "Oh I see how it is. Don't ask for me until your hungry." The necromancer rolled her eyes with a smile and lifted her off Mark's lap. "Huh. Funky." Kasinda said, her tail giving a flick as she watched Kaiser sniff at her fur. "Soooo..." She trailed off, not sure what else to ask him.

Quote:
"Wait til she's an adolescent" Lidiya said giving a fanged grin as she pulled a bottle of blood from one of the pockets in her coat. She glanced down at Gareth as she twisted the top off, her fangs stretching out instantly as the smell rose out of it. With a grin, she tipped her head back, guzzling away at the vital fluid, her eyes still locked on Gareth. She could probably heal the smaller scars completely - but she knew there was no way he'd allow her to sink her fearsome looking teeth into him, even if she could explain what she wanted to do. Kaiser's tail flicked around, as he gave an odd smile to Kasinda. "Kai likes you." he said.

Quote:
"Oh I know, that'll be barrels of fun." Kitara said jokingly as she pulled the hat off of Katrina and plopped it back onto Mark's head. She made a protesting squeak, but it was mostly ignored as she headed into the kitchen. "Your not messing his ushanka up, sweetheart. You can mess up your own stuff." The kitsusagi's ears twitched and he turned to look up at Lidiya. Eyes shot open in horror as watched her drink the vile red liquid. His stomach churned and his head bobbed until he sat upright quick and threw up to the side, his body quivering. Kitara sighed from the kitchen, having had a feeling that would happen. "I'll get that in a minute." The femme blinked, a brow raised as she stared at Kaiser... then laughed a little. "Well, that was awefully random, but... thanks?" She smiled nervously.

Quote:
Kaiser grinned at her, showing his jagged canine teeth that had earned him the name 'many blades'. "Kai wonders why Kasinda looks nervous." He said, sounding like an Indian chief. Lidiya's eyes shot open as she realised that poor Gareth was rather squeamish, as well as shy. She immediately pulled the bottle from her mouth and set it aside for a moment. "Oooh, sorry Gazzy!" she said, raising a hand to her mouth as she looked down at him. "You should have told me you were like that... but... I guess you can't." She looked down at him, feeling terrible now. She was genuinely sorry that what he'd seen had had such an effect on him. She stood up and scurried into the kitchen, looking for something to clean up with - she'd caused it, afterall.

Flappy Hat!
(Part II)

Quote:
The hellspawn was pouring milk into a sippy cup, Katrina standing next to her with a hand holding onto her boot. "That drawer." She said, pointing to one a couple feet away from her. "And the floor cleaner is in the one below it." The tiny pup blinked as she watched Lidiya enter, though didn't move away from Kitara. "Try not to touch him for a little bit, okay? I'll be in in a second." This had obviously happened before. Gareth meanwhile was stock still, the only movement being his body shaking. His eyes stared foreward, but didn't seem to be actually 'seeing' anything. "Well, you just said you liked me outta nowhere. That's kinda weird." Kasinda laughed, her tail giving a wag.

Quote:
"Sorry. Kai does not socialise often." The Dire Wold replied, his ears twitching. "And I think Mistress has given Gareth that heart attack." he said. Lidiya opened the draws, taking a rather old looking rag and thevarious cleaning products then returned to the twitching Gareth. Mark remained silent, sipping the cup of tea that Katrina had distracted him from... even if it was half cold. The Vampiress knealt beside Gareth and went to work, doing what she could to contain the mess. "Are you ok?" she asked, looking at him but, as Kitara had saidm not making any attempt to hug him, as much as she wanted to.

Quote:
Soon enough, Kitara came out of the kitchen with the pup in tow. "Katrina, go see Mark for a minute?" After ruffling the girl's hair she went over to Gareth and pulled a rag from her pocket. Katrina sipped on her sippy cup and waddled over to the sofa. There she tossed her drink onto the cushions (thankfully it was a non-spill cup) and then heeved herself up onto it with a little bit of difficulty to sit next to Mark. "Hey buddy... hey..." The catgirl cooed, using the rag to gently wipe away the small bit that was on the kitsusagi's maw. This seemed to snap him out of it partially, his head turning slowly to look at Kitara from behind his bangs. "Hey buddy... you wanna go lay down?" She asked, her voice still soothing. Slowly he nodded his head, his body still shaking. "Okay, let's go." Holding out her arms, she let Gareth come to her, then hoisted him in her arms and stood to walk up the stairs. "I guessed." Kasinda said, grinning. "So what's Earth like?" She had finally thought of something else to ask him.

Quote:
"Earth is..." Kaiser began, then paused, wondering what to tell her. "A cruel place where people are at war with eachother constantly." He said. "Humans there do nothing but look for more effective ways to kill eacother." He glanced over at the doorway, expecting Kitara to walk in. "Sorry to disappoint you." Lidiya finished mopping up, leaving the rag there and covering the area in floor cleaner for now, hoping it would soak up what was left. She sighed, her shoulders slumping forwards. "I can never do anything right..." she said, glamcing up at Mark and then to Katrina. Ah. Katrina. She was nice and simple. Surely she could get SOMETHING right with her? The Vampiress sat beside her, picking up the cup and holding out to her. "Drink?" she smiled.

Quote:
The necromancer paused at the doorway of the playroom, looking at Kaiser and Kasinda. "Gareth is gonna be resting in my room okay? Don't make too much noise." And with that she walked passed, opening her door and vanishing behind it before reappearing and closing it to head back downstairs. Katrina took her cup from the vampiress, her tail giving a few wags behind her. Holding it in both hands she tilted it back and sipped at the opening, large brown eyes stareing up at her. After nodding to Kitara, the tripod turned back to the wolf. "Jeeze... and you guys want me to go there? It sounds aweful." She grimaced.

Quote:
"Parts of it are nice." Kaiser said, after giving a nod to Kitara. "When Kai leaves, you will be able to look through the portal." Lidiya smiled at Katrina as she drank, looking into her eyes. She extende a hand, petting the back of her little black head. Mark yawned, looking around the room. "say, where's the one with wings today?" he asked, talking to nobody in particular. He was, ofcourse referring to Faizah.

Quote:
"Faizah? She's back at the caverns. You were lucky to catch her last time you were here, she doesn't get much time to come around." Kitara said, walking to the spot where the scarred kitsu had thrown up and picked up the rag to go wash out in the kitchen. She picked up the basket as well, setting it on the coffee table in front of the couch. The toddler stared straight back at her, unblinking. Then she removed her cup from her mouth and pointed at Lidiya's eyes. "Euuuuhhhh." They were like her mommies! Well, the same colour anyway. Kasinda nodded, looking down at her paw for a moment. "Alright, though I dunno if I'll come over or not. From what you said it sounds like a battle zone or something."

Quote:
Kaiser shook his head. "Not the parts Kasinda would see." The wolf answered. "No bombs going off there." He seemed to have been brushing up on his knowledge of human activities. "Euuuh?" Lidiya smirked, looking down at Katrina - her mind drifting away from Gareth's misfortune for a moment. "Do you like my eyes?" She smiled. Mark looked at Kitara, watching her set the egg down on the table. He wondered when it would hatch. Kitara could probably hear whatever was going on inside it, he thought,

Quote:
Once the rag was washed out it was thrown in the laundrey to do later. The reaper walked back into the living room with a different rag to wipe up the floor cleaner. "Euuuuh..." Katrina pulled the sides of her own eyes, then pointed to the vampiress' again. "Mommieeeee aieeees." The femme nodded. "Ah, I see..." She trailed off a moment before looking back at Kaiser. "How far can you venture away from Mark?"

Quote:
"Ahhhh...." Lidiya nodded, then paused for moment and blinked. Her irises twitched, then contracted oddly, distorting her pupils into vertical slits. She couldn't see a great deal like this - it was just a pointless, useless thing she could do. She grinned down at Katrina, fangs showing - though they had a reddish tinge to them still. Mark snorted out a giggle, watching Lidiya's eyes change. "Very good." he said, rolling his eyes. Kaiser pondered for a moment, thinking. "Kai thinks it is about 800 yards." he replied, looking at Kasinda's creamy skin.

Quote:
Kitara finished cleaning the floor and walked into the kitchen one more time to finish up. The toddler squealed and giggled, clapping her padded hands at the amazing 'trick' Lidiya was doing. "Kittyyyy!" Kasinda blinked for a moment, then laughed. "I have no idea how far that is."

Quote:
Kaiser groaned and shook his head, though he continued to smile. "It is about the same as 400 Kaisers, lined up one behind the other." he said, guessing that he was about 2 yards long from tail to snout. The Vampiress grinned, returning her eyes to normal after a few moments so that she could see more than a few blurred blobs. "Thought you'd like that." she said, petting the little puppie's head again. Aw. She wanted to hug her. Mark turned his attention to Kitara, wondering how she was feeling, given all the stress that she seemed to voluntarily surround herself with. There was no way looking after all these odd little creatures could be fun, he thought.

Quote:
The demoness finally came back into the living room and sat down on the couch. She didn't seem to really be phased by any of it. Having to care for so many was something to keep her occupied. Katrina giggled, picking up her sippy cup she had dropped aside and brought it to her mouth to suck on. "Awww, that's a shame then. I think Durem is farther then that... I guess if you wanna see the towns around here Mark would havta come along." The spotted creme frowned, having wanted to show Kaiser around.

Quote:
Lidiya looked up at Kitara she came back in , watching her sit. "Is he ok?" She asked, a look of despair on her face - she sounded worried indeed, speaking in a tone of voice that was normally only ever heard from her Rusalka form. "I feel terrible... He must hate me for what I've done now." she said, sighing and looking back down at Katrina again. Mark looked at Kitara still, though he was listening to Kaiser's conversation upstairs. He didn't feel like trekking across this place today. Some other time would be fine, but... ugh. He was tired. Kaiser nodded, knowing what Mark was thinking. "He won't today. He's too tired." The wolf stretched, then blinked. "Aren't you going to check on Gareth. Kai thinks you should. Mistress is upset."

Quote:
"Gareth is fine. He just needs a little rest and some alone time." Kitara smiled as she leaned back into the couch a little. "I'm sorry I didn't warn you, he's very squeamish and upsets easily." The puppy looked around at the adults, sipping away at her cup. Reaching over towards Mark she grabbed onto the kitty plushie she had disgaurded earlier and hugged it close. Kasinda's ears twitched, able to hear the conversation downstairs as well as what the dire wolf was saying. "Check on him? Naaaah. Gareth's an odd one, needs his space y'know? You don't wanna bug him and get him even more nervous. Gotta let him chill for a little bit. S'not the first time this has happened."

Quote:
The Vampiress looked positively sulky. "You should have said. I'd have gone into the kitchen to drink it instead." she said, picking up the bottle once more and staring at the contents. It looked fine to her - a thick red liquid. That was all it was, surely? Her eyes refocused. A mass of blood cells floating around - bouncing off eachother. "He'll never trust me now." she sighed, finally looking back up at Kitara again. Mark looked down at Katrina, watching her drag the pink cat to herself and cuddle it. Kaiser looked up at Kasinda, but said nothing, still listening to Lidiya's voice.

Quote:
The hellspawn sighed, not having an excuse to why she didn't tell Lidiya. It had simply slipped her mind. Katrina caught Mark's gaze and looked up at him, one arm locked around her doll and the other holding the cup to her mouth even though, at the moment, she wasn't drinking any of it. The tripod's ears twitched and she looked to the door. "I dunno if Gareth would trust her even if he didn't see her drink blood. The only reason he trusts Kitara, mom, Katrina and I are because they were either here when he was a baby or we were a baby when he met us."

Quote:
Kaiser nodded. "Kai thinks that is a shame." the wolf said, sitting up. "Mistress can be a very kind, caring person when she is...." He paused for a moment, thinking of the right word. "When she is herself." Lidiya bit her lip, then spoke up. "Oh well. Tell him I didn't mean to that. I have to drink that stuff... I just didn't know it'd upset him like that." Her hand reached out, playing with the hair ontop of Katrina's head. Mark waved at the little puppy, grinning.

Quote:
Kitara nodded. "I will, don't worry." She had been talking to the male about Lidiya ever since they had met. Though she knew it would take a good deal of coaxing on both sides to get him to lighten up at all. The canine grinned, dropping her sippy cup again to wave happily back at Mark. She was liking all this attention! "Yeah... but that's just how he is." Kasinda shrugged her shoulders. "Even though I can talk to him he doesn't say much... and none of us know how he got his scars. I think whatever it was traumatized him."

Quote:
Kaiser blinked, looking down at the Banthi. "Kai didn't think he could communicate at all?" If Kasinda could hear him, he probably could too. He paused, having the same thoughts Lidiya had had earlier. "Mistress could probably heal him... but he'd never let her do it." The Vampiress raised a brow at Kitara. "You have? What have you been telling him?" she asked, still petting Katrina. Mark smirked, taking one of her tiny paws in his hand and squeezing it.

Quote:
"That he shouldn't be scared, etc. etc." The catgirl said, crossing her legs and leaning back into the couch. Katrina grinned, grabbing one of his fingers and squeezing it as he squeezed her hand. Her tail thumped behind her at both the petting and the attention from Mark. "No, he can communicate." The femme looked up at Kaiser. "He just doesn't like to most the time... and your right, he wouldn't let her heal his scars."

Quote:
Kaiser nodded. "Kai will have to tell Mistress that... if brother has not already done so." hr gave a vague shrugging motion, then looked down at Kasinda prodding his snout at her side for no reason other to to see what it felt and smelled like - as dogs do. Lidiya was contenting herself with petting Katrinda - wondering what would become of the little pup as she grew - and hoping that atleast she would be more positive towards her than Gareth was. If she knew her since she was a baby, it was more likely, no? Mark watched Katrina's face. Everything amused or interested her in some way... that was enviable, in a way.

Quote:
Kitara watched with a smile as her adopted daughter was smothered in affection and attention. The mutt finally let go of Mark's hand and grabbed for her cup again, leaning back to sip from it and then dropping it again like it was nothing. Still holding her kitty plush she looked between the vampiress and Mark... torn to who she should play with. The nice lady petting her or the nice guy that had the cool hat? Kasinda simply nodded once more, resting her head by her paw. "So what'd ya wanna do now?"

Quote:
Kaiser paused, tapping Kasinda with a huge paw. "Kai just remembered... He can probably show you some of earth now" He said looking into her yellow eyes with his dark brown, almost black ones. The Vampiress leaned forward, lifting the little puppy onto her knee an picking up the discarded cup again. She smiled at her and squeezed her pupils into slits again.

Quote:
Katrina blinked as she was lifted up, though made no move to resist. Large brown eyes looked up at Lidiya's, a giggle escaping her mouth as her eyes adjusted to that of her mother's. "Mooowwwww moooowwww!" The banthi blinked, sitting up with a little difficulty. "Oh?"

Quote:
Kaiser nodded. "Yes, though do not be alarmed by what will happen to Kai when he does." he said, sitting infront of her. "Look into Kai's eyes and Kai will show Kasinda - if she likes." Lidiya grinned at Katrina, hugging the anthropomorphic puppy to her chest. Her tiny limbs felt so adorable... as did her fur. The Vampiress smirked, feeling the shiny black hairs against her skin. "You're a cutie aren't you?" she said, her eyes still imitating Kitara's.

Quote:
The toddler smiled as she was hugged, making small baby noises. She was still too young to really hug back or anything, so her hands were still wrapped around her plushie. "Eheeeeheee..." She grinned, chewing and sucking on one of her thumbs as her tail wagged. Kasinda blinked and sat up straight. "Alright..." Yellow eyes stared into Kaiser's, unblinking.

Quote:
Kaiser blinked once, staring deep into Kasinda's eyes. He froze, stopped breathing. Nothing about him moved in the slightest. After a few moments, Kasinda would hopefully 'see' an image in his eyes... Or atleast it would appear to be in his eyes. There would be nothing there really, it would mainly be in her mind as he tried to ram his thoughts into her head. The first thing he tried to show her was Lidiya's home...Tar began to seemingly pour out of his every orifice, and then form on his fur, soon coating him entirely. He tried to show the many delights he had seen in the Vampiress warehouse, even the strange little club she had taken him to. News bulletins he had caught on TV while sat with Mark (Most of them about war in various parts of the world) and then.... Dire Wolves.

Quote:
Kasinda squinted as she watched his eyes, trying her best to ignore the tar coming from his body. Afterall, if he told her to ignore it then he had to still be okay, right?

Quote:
The final images were of his long extinct bretheren, stood around him, alerted to gather by his cries. They were all stood, watching helplessly as he sunk into the tar pit at and agonisingly slow speed - they could do nothing for him. It was impossible for them to pull him out. Kaiser blinked two tar-encrusted eyelids, ceasing the progression of the black substance. In seconds, the tar vanished seeming to retreat back inside him. He shook himself. "Kai can maintain that for longer, but Kai doesn't think you want to see tar-covered skeleton stood before you."

Quote:
The tripod just stared, the look on her face almost unreadable. It was a strange mix of saddness and fear and something else that couldn't quite be described. She remained silent, simply stareing at him.

Quote:
Kaiser tilted his head, looking at Kasinda - the sound of Katrina's giggling and Lidiya's cooing just audible to him. He blinked, trying to figure out the expression on the Banthi's face. It was difficult, as it was not a species he was familiar with. "Do not worry. Kai is fine." he said, smiling.

Quote:
Kasinda opened her mouth to say something, but didn't know what. Her ears drooped and she looked down at her talon-like paws, not knowing what to say. What DID you say to someone after seeing a friend's death?

Quote:
The wolf gave her a friendly lick on her shoulder. "What is wrong?" the wolf asked. "You don't need to be sad." he said, his tail fluffing up and swaying behind him. Lidiya still held Katrina, as now amusing the pup with her inhumanly long tongue - something she could do without worry, as one so young didn't know enough to be frightened by such things.

Quote:
The femme sighed and looked back up at Kaiser. "Sorry... I just... didn't wanna see that." She leaned foreward, nuzzling her head into his furry chest and being mindful of her small horns. Katrina was giggling passed her own tongue, sticking it out to try and mimmic Lidiya even though her's was nowhere near as long or pointed.

Quote:
Kaiser smirked - cunning b*****d that he was. "Don't worry. The story has a happy ending." he said leaning into her and and allowing her to bury her face in his fur as he wrapped a scruffy grey tail around her. Lidiya laughed, finding Katrina's attempts adorably cute. She raised her tongue, flicking it round slowly so that the puppy could follow it with her eyes. It curled around on itself like a party blower, the stretched back out. The Vampiress giggled, stretching her tongue out to poke the tip of Katrina's.

Quote:
"That didn't look happy to me." Kasinda said, her telepathic voice unhindered even though her face still burried itself into the fur on the dire wolf's chest. The mutt wiggled and curled her tongue too, though when Lidiya's touched her own she shook her head and made a face while blowing a raspberry.

Quote:
Lidiya smirked, her tongue worming it's way back into her mouth, where most of it disappeared down her throat. "You're just jealous." Lidiya said, cuddling the little puppy. What fun she was! She could play with her all day! Kaiser nuzzled Katrina's fur, enjoying the contact even if he had aquired it through less than honourable means. "Yes it does." He said. "Kai lives on, and stands before you today." He paused, resting his head against Kasinda. "Kai is happy." he said.

Quote:
The banthi stayed silent for a moment, allowing him to nuzzle her. "I suppose so. At least your happy." She smiled, raising her head to look up at him. Katrina giggled, giving a couple more raspberries before allowing Lidiya to cuddle her without getting covered in doggie spit.

Quote:
Lidiya gave Katrina a kiss on her forehead before looking up at Kitara. "We had better be getting back." she said. "Liten hates being left in the house alone for too long." she said. Mark gave nod. Kaiser looked down at Kasinda. "Ofcourse Kai is happy." he said. "Kai has you." he smiled, clearly very happy indeed.

Quote:
"Yeah, suppose your right." Kitara lifted the canine from Lidiya's arms and shifted her on her hip. "I'll havta get Kasinda to watch this one though. Say byebye, Katrina?" The puppy looked at both of them and frowned, knowing what was coming. "Byeeeeeeesss." Her ears drooped, tiny clawed hand waving at both of them. Kasinda blinked, slightly confused. Golden eyes stared straight into his, though she remained silent.

Quote:
The wolf tapped her only front leg with his paw. "Kai has to now, though." He said, his ears drooping, a sad look on his face. "Kasinda can look through the portal if she wishes." He said, standing up on all fours now. "Jump through if she's feeling brave." he said, wandering towards the door. Mark looked down at Katrina waving at her as Lidiya lowered her back to the floor. "Bye bye!" he said as Lidiya fluffled her little head.

Quote:
The necromancer materialized her scythe, walking around the coffee table so they'd have enough room before tearing open a portal. Katrina frowned up at Lidiya, not wanting to see her go. At least she got a goodbye cuddle though. "Ehhhh!" Tiny clawed hands reached up at Mark, demanding a goodbye hug from him too. The spotted creme nodded and stood as well, following Kaiser downstairs.

Quote:
Mark knealt down and hugged the little pup in his arms, giving her a gentle squeeze. Lidiya smiled down at her. "Don't worry, you'll see me again!" she smiled. Mark glanced up as Kaiser walked into the room. "Yo, playah!" he said, grinning - he'd seen what the wolf had done. The wolf merely blinked, having no idea what "Playah" meant. "Hello to you too." he said.

Quote:
Kitara smiled as she opened the portal to inside the vampiress' house, snickering a little as Mark's remark to Kaiser. The anthro was satisfied once she got her second hug, but was swept off the floor before she noticed Kaiser enter the room by her mother. "I guess I'll catch you guys tomorrow or sometime soon then. Don't hesitate to ask to come back here." Kasinda followed behind him, wandering up to the portal and peeking through it. "... Weeeeeird. It looks the same as here. 'Cept... more expensive."

Quote:
"Why thank you" Lidiya said, smiling down at Kasinda as she picked up her coat. The word 'expensive' sounded good. "Though I can't help but think that I was brought to a place outside just so that Kitty could watch me burn for a while." The Vampiress smirked - not really caring if that was true or not. Mark stood up, "Seeya then." he said, giving Kitara a quick hug with one arm. Kaiser looked up at him, waiting for him to go through, so that he could go in with him. The wolf grinned at at Kasinda "Feeling brave?" he asked.

Quote:
The reaper smile, returning the hug with her free arm. Katrina's eyes were so busy watching Lidiya and Mark, she had barely noticed Kaiser... which was probably a good thing. The tripod thought for a moment before looking back at Kaiser with a grin. "Sure am. Can I go with them?" Yellow gaze went from the wolf up to her caretaker, whom just sighed. Even though she couldn't hear her, she knew that look. "Fine, you can go... but no going outside! Your mother is going to kill me." Crimson eyes then went to Lidiya. "I gotta stay here with Katrina and Gareth, she allowed to sleep over at your house?"

Quote:
"Ofcourse." Lidiya smiled, looking down at Kasinda. Kaiser was silent, yet looked positively ecstatic as he leapt throught portal with Mark, turning around to look at Kasinda once he was through. Lidiya looked back up at Kitara. "I'll look after her. She'll be fine." With last tickle of Katrina's fluffly little chin, the Vampiress stepped up to the portal, and ushered the Banthi through. "Faizah can come kick her a** if she wants to." She said, before stepping through herself.

Quote:
"Alright, just no going outside." Kitara said to all of them. "I'll be around tomorrow." The tiny pup pouted and gave another wave to all of them on the other side just as Kasinda leapt through, her claws slipping somewhat on the floor of Lidiya's house before she caught herself.

Two Maids & A Princess
(Lidiya and Mark come back for another visit)

Claudius stars in this roleplay.

Quote:
Kitara still lay on the vampiress' bed from two days prior. If it was up to her, she would have laid there for weeks... though unfortunatly her subconscious reminded her that she had a small puppy to take care of. Slowly her eyes opened, her tiny frame curled up in the sheets of Lidiya's bed. She didn't move at first, allowing her body to unstiffen.

Quote:
The demoness was alone in the room, her body seemingly laid out neatly on the bed, and tucked in under the covers. Noises outside revealed it was probably some time in the early evening - children playing after having been in school all day.

Quote:
Slowly the necromancer's ears gave a twitch, along with her covered tail as the blankets covering it raised slightly. She blinked, her eyes adjusting to the dark in the room as she slowly sat up. She looked around, grabbing her tophat and putting it on before pulling back the covers and scooting so her feet dangled off the side of the bed. She tried to pick up the sounds of Mark, Lidiya, or Liten... whether it be their heartbeats or their voices.

Quote:
It appeared that all three were downstairs, though they didn't appear to be talking. If she could hear Liten's tiny voice through the floor, she'd hear.... chanting?

Quote:
Kitara blinked, able to hear the tiny fae's chant from downstairs. Slowly she stood and wobbled a little, her legs having locked up from the two days of remaining stock still. Rubbing her eyes with gloved hands, she walked out of the vampiress' room and headed down the stairs.

Quote:
Lidiya glanced up at Kitara and Liten's chanting stopped abruptly. "Good morning sleepy head." she smiled up at her. "Feeling better?" Mark appeared to be asleep, though he made a "nnnhhh." sound and batted a hand, suggesting some level of conciousness.

Quote:
The reaper nodded with a tiny smile as she stood in front of the sofa. "Yeah, I'm fine." She looked to be normal, the same sad look in her eyes... though at least it wasn't nearly as bad as it had been the days before. "How long have I been out?" Absently she wondered what Liten was doing, but gave the fae her privacy and didn't ask. Surprisingly she seemed rather together, despite having been asleep for two days. Not a hair was out of place, her body having not moved ever since Lidiya had set her down.

Quote:
"Two days." The Vampiress answered, nudging at Mark's sprawled form beside her on the sofa. Mark grumbled, opening his eyes and stretching. "Ah... Hello." He said, smiling at Kitara.

Quote:
"You don't have to wake up for me, y'know." Kitara looked at him, the smile still there.

Quote:
"Nah, I was just be lazy anyway." he said, shrugged and shaking himself. He blinked, then glanced at Lidiya as if he expected her to speak next. "I suppose you'll be back off to Gaia now? Your pets will be missing you."

Quote:
"Yeah. I'm sure nee-chan is tired of babysitting for me." The demoness smirked, scratching her head. "You three coming?" She asked, including Liten.

Quote:
The fae looked up at her. "No. Your pets will eat me." she said, hugging herself. She didn't like animals. Lidiya smirked. "I'll go, as will Mark, won't you?" she turned, looking at her slave. Mark shrugged. "Sure." He said. He was going mainly because Kaiser wanted him to.

Quote:
"They will not." Kitara said with a small laugh. "From what sister tells me, Kasinda and Gareth are there... Faizah isn't. Kasinda will be spending most of her time with Kaiser and I'm afraid that Gareth would probably be too scared of you to eat you. He's a vegan anyway."

Quote:
"Well, Katrina might hug you too hard, but I'll take you up to play with Gareth." Lidiya said, looking down at Liten. The Fae still looked worried. The Vampiress stood up, wandering over to the coat hanger beside the door.

Quote:
"I doubt Katrina will bother you... she's only a toddler, her attention will probably be mostly focused on Mark." The hellspawn smirked, holding her hand up as her scythe materialized on her grasp.

Quote:
"I.. I don't like animals." The fae finally admitted, shifting uncomfortably. Lidiya said nothing putting her coat and hat on as Mark peeled himself from the sofa.

Quote:
"That's okay then, you don't have to come if you don't want to." Kitara said, crimson eyes still looking down at the tine fae.

Quote:
"Maybe some other time." She said. She was still far too nervous. She knew Kaiser fairly wow now, but she was still afraid to be near him without a sheet of glass between the two of them. "Oh well." Lidiya sighed. "There'll be plenty more opportunities for you to come with us, I'm sure."

Quote:
The catgirl nodded and stepped away from the sofa, tearing open a portal. Once again, light shone through and reflected upwards by the snow. She stepped through and breathed into her hand. The same foggy, shadowy substance left her lips before she tossed it into the ground. With a loud crack, the shadow darted skyward and blocked the sun.

Quote:
Lidiya smiled, hopping through through the portal. "Must that." she said, looking up and smiling. She glanced over her shoulder as Mark stepped through. She gave a little wave to Liten through the portal - who just nodded back at her, feeling torn between her self-preservation and her curiosity.

Quote:
Kitara waved to her as well before closing the portal after Mark jumped through. "Remind me to find Claudius and bring him back to her." Tromping through the knee-high snow, the tiny cabin before them opened it's door and closed it's curtains like it had before.

Quote:
The Vampiress glanced at Kitara, but said nothing as she walked through the snow, Mark following right behind her. "Mmm.. Closed curtains. I like." she said.

Quote:
The necromancer walked through the open door, the lights turning on as she did so. Unstrapping her boots, she kicked them off and her scythe vanished, as was the custom. For the most part the house seemed very quiet... no baby babble, no chittering from Gareth, nothing. Once her boots were kicked off, she made her way up the stairs.

Quote:
Lidiya smiled, removing her boots, followed shortly after by her coat and hat. Mark wandering in behind her, and sat down on the sofa. He'd have to cough out Kaiser soon... How he hated doing that - it felt like puking a pile of razor blades.

Quote:
The muffled sound of Kitara's voice came from above, shortly followed by the strange, unsteady steps of the tripod down the stairs behind her caretaker. "Katrina is asleep with Gareth in the playroom, so we'll havta be a little quiet. At least until they wake up. Shouldn't be long." She smiled as Kasinda rounded the end of the stairs. "Do you want anything?"

Quote:
"More tea, please." Mark smiled, knowing that his answer would be exactly what Kitara expected. He looked at Kasinda, "Hello there." he said, looking into her yellow eyes. The Vampiress smiled, sitting down beside Mark and draping her coat over the sofa behind her.

Quote:
The reaper simply nodded before vanishing into the kitchen, the front door closing by itself now that she knew both were inside. Behind the curtains one could see the darkness vanish, replaced with the brightness of outside. Kasinda smiled and sauntered over to them before sitting down in front of them. "Roooaooow." Was her content greeting, along with a tail wag.

Quote:
"I suppose I have to let Kai out, hmm?" Mark said, looking down at the 3-legged Banthi. Lidiya smiled at her, giving a little wave.

Quote:
The femme grinned broadly, shifting her paw as her long tail wagged back and forth behind her. "Roow!" It seemed she was rather eager to have her friend by her side.

Quote:
Lidiya's crimson eyes turned a glowing green as Mark bent forward, coughing and wheezing painfully as the grey cloud floated out of his mouth. Swirling around, it took Kaiser's form quickly. The wolf looked around a while, then grinned at Kasinda. "Kai is happy again." he said.

Quote:
"Y'know, you should just always keep Kaiser out. It'd save you a lot of pain." Kitara said as she entered once more, handing Mark his cup of tea. "Yay!" Kasinda grinned, jumping up to nuzzle the large wolf.

Quote:
"Probably." He said, swallowing hard before reaching up to accept the cup of tea with a smile. "Thanks." he croaked. This was a drink he'd definitely enjoy. Kaiser's tail wagged from side to side as he lowered his head to the banthi and leaned against her. "Kai thinks you are happier to see him now than you were last time." he said.

Quote:
"No problem." The demoness smiled back, then glanced up the stairs. "I think I'm gonna go look for Claudius. Are you gonna be able to hold down the fort while I'm gone?" She asked the two vampires. Kasinda's tail continued to wag. "I am. I like it when you come here more then going to your world... no offense." She gave a lopsided smile.

Quote:
"Sure." Lidiya smiled, looking down at Kasinda. Kaiser looked down into the yellow eyes of the Banthi. "Ofcourse. It's dangerous for you there." He said.

Quote:
"Alright, I should be back in a couple of minutes." Kitara smiled and took a step back, vanishing. "Yeah, though it's sad that you can't stay here and you can only come when Mark does." The banthi frowned, stareing up at him.

Quote:
"Not my fault." Mark said, shrugging his shoulders. Kaiser glanced him briefly then looked back down at Kasinda. "Kai visits when he can." he said, prodding his snout at her chest. Mmmm. fluffy.

Quote:
"I know." Kasinda said to both statements, then raised a brow and looked down at the snout in her chest. "You like my fur, don't you?" Though above there was a tiny stir at the top of the stairs. "Uhhhhhhhh..." Came the tiny pup's sleepy groan.

Quote:
"Yes, Kai does." he said. "It is different to Kai's." the wolf looked down at himself, inspecting the scruffy mass of long grey hairs that covered his body. Lidiya glanced up, hearing Katrina's mumbling. She stood up silently, and made her way upstairs.

Quote:
"Yeah, suppose it is." The creme smiled a little, looking at his fur. Katrina stood at the top of the stairs, rubbing her only seen eye with a paw as the other clutched her doll. Her hair was possitivly a mess, one of her eyes vanished in the scraggly waves. Brown eyes spotted Lidiya and reached up to her. "Uhhhh..."

Quote:
"Good morning sweetie!" The Vampiress cooed, bending down and lifting Katrina up into her arms."How are you today?" she asked, brushing the pup's hair aside and cuddling her.

Quote:
"Seepy." The mutt mumbled, resting her head on Lidiya's chest as she was carried.

Quote:
"Aw. I'll see what I can do for you in a moment." Lidiya smiled, petting the puppy's head. She wandered over to the door and poked her head around it, wondering if Gareth was awake too.

Quote:
Gareth seemed to be sound asleep for once, his frail body curled up on the pile of pillows in the corner of the playroom. "Hungee." Katrina stated simply, though didn't move from her flopped over positon in the vampiress' arms.

Quote:
Lidiya closed the door. "I'll see what I can do." she said, hugging her to her chest and kissing the top of her little head. Carrying the pup downstairs, she headed for the kitchen. Kai glanced up at her, glancing briefly at Katrina and then back at Kasinda.

Quote:
The canine lay patiently in Lidiya's arms, her mind still hazzy after just waking up. Kasinda glanced back at the two as well, before looking back at the dire wolf. "So what'd ya wanna do? We can't go in the playroom because Gareth is sleeping in there."

Quote:
"Kai doesn't mind." he answered. "Kai will do whatever you wish." Mark looked down at the two of them. "You're not gonna make me walk everywhere are you?" he asked. Lidiya lowered Katrina back to the floor - she wasn't a great deal taller than the top of her boots. She smirked, then proceeded to search the cupboards for anything that looked edible.

Quote:
"Well..." The tripod smiled up at him. "Only if you waaaanna." She gave him her best kitty-look. Katrina stood where she was set. She wobbled a little, but kept standing. Most of the food in the cupboards was things like sweets, cookies, and the majority of them had "Rabid's NO TOUCHIE! >:0" written on the in permanent marker.

Quote:
Mark sighed. "After I've drunk my tea." he said. Lidiya looked around, shaking her head. "This is all very unhealthy." she said. "Where does mommy keep your food?" she asked.

Quote:
"Yay!" Kasinda squeeled with glee, rubbing her head on the vampire's leg. "Uhhhh..." The toddler looked up at her then around the room before pointing towards the fridge with a clawed, chubby finger.

Quote:
The Vampiress opened the fridge, and looked inside. "And what does she usually give you?" she asked, looking over at the little pup. Mark patted the Banthi's head with his free hand as he sipped at his tea. Kaiser curled his tail around himself, his attention turned to the Kitchen door through the hallway.

Quote:
The femme smiled up at him, her tail wagging. "Hnnn..." Katrina waddled over to peek inside next to her, her plushie getting dragged behind. "Stuuuuuff." She said, pointing at a large tupperware container that said "Katrina's Formula" on the side in the same permanent marker. "And... uh..." She paused and looked around before pointing at a carton of milk. "Sippy." She said, refering to her sippy cup.

Quote:
Lidiya nodded, picking out the labled container and the milk carton. She looked opened the container and peered inside. Kaiser turned to Kasinda "Why is that Mistress only does work when she's here?"

Quote:
"She doesn't do work anywhere else?" Kasinda asked, raising a brow at him. Inside the container looked to be some sort of... meat and milk mixture. Kind of like a meat cereal, as bits of cherrios were in it as well. The puppy wandered back over to Lidiya, grabbing her shoelaces as she waited for her food.

Quote:
"Does mommy put milk in this?" The Vampiress asked looking at the strange mixture and then back down at Katrina. Mark laughed at Kaiser's comment. "She does sometimes." he said.

Quote:
The banthi blinked, looking at both of them slightly confused. "Ar?" Katrina blinked, the question going through one ear and out the other. Though thankfully, the necromancer appeared the same place she had left a few moments before. A tiny, five inch tall boy sat on her shoulder. "Back. Anything blow up while I was gone?"

Quote:
"Nope. Katrina's awake though." Mark replied, motioning to the kitchen. He looked at the tiny boy on her shoulder, recalling the conversation Liten had had with the demoness a few days ago.

Quote:
"Ah, okay. Claudius, this is Mark, Kaiser, and Lidiya." Kitara gestured to each one before turning to head into the kitchen to aid the vampiress. The tiny fae blinked and flew off of her shoulder before she left, flying down until he landed on the coffee table. "Hello!" He said cheerfully, waving a tiny hand to all of them. "Welcome back, Claud." Kasinda smiled down at him, not having seen him in awhile. The small pup blinked and turned to look at her mother, holding her hands out to her. "Maaamaaaa."

Quote:
Kaiser looked down at the little boy on the coffee table. He certainly seemed more confident than Liten was - though he appeared just as fragile... But then, Gaia seemed a much kinder place than earth - perhaps one could afford to be so careless here. "Hello." the huge wolf said. Lidiya smiled, turning to Kitara. "What must I do?" she asked, grinning.

Quote:
"Alright, lesse..." The reaper heafted Katrina onto her hip before looking at what the vampiress had set out. "Get a bowl and scoop about..." She paused for a moment after pointing to where the bowls and spoons where. "How hungry are you, sweetie?" "Pooh bear hungee." Katrina said calmly, having been read Winnie The Pooh before and scaled her hunger from that. "Alright, put two scoops in a bowl and then heat it up in the microwave for one minute." She had a feeling that the vampiress liked helping out when the tiny mutt was involved. "So your Kaiser, and your Mark?" Claudius asked, pointing to the wolf then to the vampire.

Quote:
"Okay." Lidiya acknowledged, and then proceeded to carry out her task - grabbing a bowl and scooping two spoonfuls in as instructed. Kai looked at the Fae and nodded. "Yes. Kitara told you of us?"

Quote:
Kitara shifted the canine on her hip and walked over to the sink, pulling the sippy cup from the drying rack and setting it on the table. With one hand she unscrewed the cap and poured some milk into it. "You must feel like a princess, huh? Got two maids at your beck and call!" Katrina giggled, watching the two women prepare her lunch. "Nothing beyond your names, no." Claudius said, sitting on the edge of the coffee table and kicking his feet back and forth. "So where do you live?" Her didn't know about 'the other world', beyond what the demoness had mentioned only breifly.

Quote:
"Uhhh... that's a difficult question." Mark answered, unsure of how to explain. Kaiser, glanced at him and then back at Claudius. "We live in another world. You can only travel there with Magic." He said. Lidiya smirked, taking the same milk carton and pouring some into the bowl. As instructed, she placed it in the microwave and set the timer to one minute.

Quote:
"Here ya go." The hellspawn snapped the lid onto the sippy cup and handed it to Katrina, who took it and immediantly started sucking on it. "Now ya gonna be a good girl and try and eat ALL your food? You need to start eating solids for me soon." The toddler nodded. "That's my girl." The tiny fae blinked, rather surprised. "Oh really? I remember Kitara mentioning it once before. What's it like?"

Quote:
"Horrible."Mark said. Kai nodded. "War, famine, pestilence and death" he said, glancing at Kasinda for no real reason. Lidiya grinned down at Katrina, fluffling her little head "Yea, if you eat stuff you'll grow big like me. Maybe bigger!"

Quote:
"Oh boy." Kitara snorted jokingly, the microwave going off. "Now all ya havta do is stir it a little bit and make sure it's not too hot for her." She wandered over to a highchair and set the pup into it, making sure her plushie was tucked beside her. Kasinda had since laid down on her stomach, content to listen to the conversation. She gave a smile up at the large wolf, though said nothing. "Eeee... how horrible. Why don't you stay here?" Claudius asked, looking up at their large faces.

Quote:
"What? Am I too big?" she smirked, removing the bowl from the mircowave. She picked up a clean spoon and stirred it a little, then tasted it to the tempreature. She smiled, and placed the bowl infront of Katrina. "num-nums!" she purred - almost sounding as she had done during her more recent flip-outs. Mark shrugged. "Kai sometimes wonders." he said, looking over at Kasinda and sniffing at her fluffy chest once more.

Quote:
"Yes. Yes you are." The catgirl smirked, tieing a bib on Katrina and handing her a spoon. The mutt grinned and ignored the spoon, licking the formula with her maw. "No no, spoon. Try and eat with a spoon." Kitara corrected, stopping Katrina and putting a spoon in her padded hand. The tripod blinked, watching Kaiser sniff her. She really had no idea why he did that so much. "Hmm... well, is that Liten girl here? Kitara said that I was supposed to cheer her up." Claudius stood up and locked his hands behind his head while rocking back and forth on his heels.

Quote:
"No, she's back in our world." Mark said. Kai's nose trailed up from her chest, rising along her neck and to chin as he gave a her feline mouth a little lick and then sat up straight to look down into her sunshine eyes. Lidiya smiled, then wandered back into the room. She looked down at the tiny boy infront of her and smiled, about to speak. "Oh yeah." Mark said, squeezing his words in before she opened her mouth. "She is why don't live here. Quite into war and death aren't you, Mistress?" He smirked. "Absolutely." she said, glancing back down at the Fae. "I'm more interested in this little cute fellow though..." she grinned, crouching down beside the coffee table.

Quote:
Kitara continued to tend to the dribbling and messy canine, only partially listening to the conversation in the next room. Kasinda purred, nuzzling into the wolf's head with her own. Claudius blinked and looked up at her, the tiny arrows on his back shifting as he did so. "Why? War and death is horrible!" He squeeked, the tiny wings on his ankles flittering.

Quote:
"Well, that depends on your needs." The Vampiress said, extending fangs the size of Claud's legs and pointed tongue that was probably larger than his whole body.

Quote:
The tiny fae frowned, setting his hands on his hips. "Being a vampire is no excuse!" He waved a tiny finger up at her. Despite his size he seemed very confident in himself. "You can feed on people without war or death."

Quote:
Lidiya smirked, finding his miniscule display of strength rather amusing. She humoured him, for now. "I try. I haven't Killed anyone reethently." she said, shrugging her shoulders. Her tongue slithered back inside, though the fangs remained. "Yuo're awfully sure of yourself for someone so small." she said, her head tilted to one side.

Quote:
"Good." Claudius said, crossing his arms. "And what does my height have to do with it? Just because I'm tiny doesn't mean my oppinion is any less important."

Quote:
"No, it just means you put yourself at great risk should someone disagree with you enough." she said. Kai nodded. "It is a dangerous thing to do."

Quote:
"Dangerous or not, I don't care. I'm not gonna sit by and let others push me around or stay quiet just because someone might not agree with me." The boy frowned, finding a dislike in these 'new' people. Though no, that was wrong. He had to give everyone a chance and a clean slate.

Quote:
The Vampiress smiled. Despite her seemingly harsh message, she had nothing against him - she was just telling him for his own good. "So, Kitara told you about Liten, did she?" Lidiya asked having heard the earlier portion of the conversation. Mark set his empty cup down on the coffee table, some distance from the Fae. He nudged Kasinda with his foot.

Quote:
"Yeah. She said that she knew a little fae girl that needed some cheering up." Claudius said with a smile. The femme blinked, her head raising from it's position on the floor to look at him curiously. Katrina had finished her meal and was now a TOTAL mess. Heafting the dirty toddler in her arms, the necromancer turned and headed up the stairs.

Quote:
"I thought you wanted to drag me about outside?"Mark said, looking down at the Banthi as Kai turned to look at him. Lidiya nodded, "Yeah, she does." she said. "She's not the happiest soul around."

Quote:
"Oh! Yes! Are you ready? I just have to ask Kitara to open a portal." Kasinda smiled and sat up. "Awww, how come?" The tiny fae asked, frowning up at Lidiya. Kitara made her way down the stairs, a fresh set of clothes and a diaper in her free arm before she rounded the corner towards the bathroom.

Quote:
"Yeah. I'll go now." He said, peeling himself out of the chair. The Vampiress didn't seem to be paying attention to the others, her attention focused on Claud now. "She's very easily frightened... And delicate. She's scared of getting killed accidentally. She's tiny. Far smaller than you."

Quote:
The banthi smiled and stood, walking back the corridor to find Kitara. When she did, she tugged on her skirt and motioned towards the living room. Blinking, the reaper called out. "Who wants what?" It was a pain when you couldn't communicate with someone. "Awwww... poor girl. How tall is she?" Claudius frowned, his expression sad.

Quote:
"Kasinda wants a portal." Mark answered, walking over. to her with Kaiser beside him. Lidiya held her fingers out, about 2 inches apart. "She's.. this big" she said. "I have to be real careful picking her up. She gets hurt easily."

Quote:
"Ah, alright." Kitara said, her scythe appearing in her grasp and floating next to the vampire. "Where do you wanna go? Barton, Durem, The Isle? Or Aekea?" The tripod shrugged her shoulders and looked back at Kaiser and Mark. "Where do you two wanna go? Pick one at random?" Katrina was sitting on the toilet, the bathwater running beside her... though she didn't seem to notice it. The bathroom also was void of a mirror, for obvious reasons. "So she's three inches shorter then me... I see." The silver-haired boy frowned. "It's a shame she lives where you do then, your world doesn't seem very inviting for smaller creatures."

Quote:
"It's not." The Vampiress agreed. "She has nightmares a lot too." Mark shrugged, not knowing what any of these places were "Whichever has the most explosions." he said.

Quote:
"Explosions?" The hellspawn laughed and motioned them to go out to the living room, where her scythe floated to. "Durem is my favorite place, though I'm afraid nowhere has many explosions." Kasinda followed the scythe, looking back to make sure both of them were following. "That's sad..." His blue eyes blinked, the sad expression still on his features. "Will she be scared of me? I hope not... I'm not that much bigger then her."

Quote:
"I doubt it. You'd be the smallest person she's ever met." she said. "She's almost gotten used to my feet landing beside her and... well.. She's the size of my toe." The Vampiress shrugged. "I don't know what I look like in her eyes. She just says 'like mommy' and grins at me." she laughed a little. Kaiser hopped through the portal , with Mark alongside him.

Quote:
The femme leapt in behind them, the portal closing once she was through. Their surroundings were very... gothic looking. Cobblestone streets, tall stone buildings, though there were stores around and people walking about that seemed to be of every species imaginable. "Hm..." Claudius said, falling silent. Though it didn't last long as a loud, ear-pericing screech came from the bathroom via puppy mouth.

Quote:
The Vampiress' leapt up, and she darted out of the room and upstairs faster than any human ever could, and upon enertering the bathroom, her fangs and tongue were fully extended once more - revealing that she had unleashed her Vampiric abilities to the maximum to allow her to react as fast as possible - something she rarely did, for it bore... side effects. In Durem, Mark looked around momentarily and then stated the obvious. "Hm. Gothic."

Quote:
"Everything is fine, Lidiya." Said a very wet Kitara, holding a soaked and soapy canine in the bathtube. Katrina seemed positivly FURIOUS. She screamed and flailed and kicked and tried to get out of the tub. How she HATED the water. "NO NO NO NO!" She screeched, clawing at her mother's arms. Claudius appeared on the vampiress shoulder, flapping his tiny wings before landing to see what was going on. "Yep!" The banthi said, looking around. "So, anything in particular your interested in doing?"

Quote:
"Kai wonders what the other inhabitants of this world are like." The wolf said. The Vampiress grinned. "Gooood." she purred, her long tongue curling around her left cheek. "Mmm.. This feels a lot different to what it used to..." she said, her grin not fading atall. Her eyes locked onto the tiny Fae.

Quote:
The catgirl continued to scrub the tiny pup down, pouring water over her to get the soap out. "NO NO NO NO! OUT OUT!" Katrina continued to scream and kick, though it went on deaf ears. The fae boy blinked and looked over at Lidiya, though said nothing. "Well, it's pretty broad..." Kasinda looked around. "Gaia doesn't have ONE set species. There are dragons and humans and vampires and demons..."

Quote:
Kaiser nodded, looking up at Mark for a moment, then back to Kasinda. "Show Kai who or whatever you wish." the wolf said. The Vampiress grinned, leaning towards the Fae. "You look tasty, little man." she purred.

Quote:
"Calm down, Lidiya." Kitara sighed. She might've not minded when she flipped out in her own home, but she didn't want her doing that here. Gloved hands grabbed a towel and lifted the toddler out of the water. Claudius' body shivered. "Eep!" And in a puff of pink smoke, he was gone. "Hmmm..." The tripod looked around before begining to walk in a set direction. "I'll take you to where Ian was shot."

Quote:
"Hm?" Kaiser looked confused., but followed anyway. "A crime scene?" Mark raised a brow, tagging along behind them. The Vampiress blinked and looked up at Kitara, a confused look on her face. "Hm? Oh." She sighed, her tongue and fangs retracting it again. "Sorry... It's.. You know." she shook her head and left, heading back downstairs. "Claud, where've you gone?" she called out.

Quote:
"It's alright." The necromancer said, lifting a more calm Katrina on the bathroom counter. "I'm in the living room!" The boy called out as loud as he could, though to Lidiya it was probably a sheer whisper. "Yeah, recently a trail was held against one of the resident store keepers named Ian. He was prooved innocent, but when he came out of the courthouse someone shot him. No one knows who did it." Kasinda said, leading them though the mess of different people towards it.

Quote:
"I see." Mark said. Kaiser followed through all of the people, glancing at some of the more interestingly dressed ones as he did. Lidiya wandered back into the living room and looked down at the tiny boy as she strode past him - probably an impressive sight as his size. "Sorry." The Vampiress said, shaking her head.

Quote:
S'alright, you didn't eat me did you?" Claudius said, sitting up from leaning on the brightly coloured egg the kitsusagi had been carrying before. "Here we are!" Kasinda stopped at a tapped off section on the stairs of a large courthouse. There was blood splattered in the middle from the shot. "Normally it's pretty peaceful around here, though I'd be lying if I said we didn't have assassins."

Quote:
"Good, that means I'm employable." Mark smirked, looking down at the blood spatter. "No forensics tent? Geeze, the police are waaay behind in this place." he said. The Vampiress smiled. "No. I wasn't going to." She laughed. "I was uh.. implying something quite different. I'm a bit of lecher when I lose control like that."

Quote:
"Oh... ew." The fae shivered at the thought. "They already took care of it. Robots are a lot faster then the people here are. Plus it happened a couple of months ago." Kasinda said, looking up at him.

Quote:
"And they didn't clean up?" Mark raised a brow as as Kaiser sniffed at the blood - poking his nose under the tape. "Better not let Mistress see it. She'll be licking it off the floor." he smirked.

Quote:
"It is cleaned up, just stained." The tripod said, sitting down.

Quote:
Kaiser turned to the Banthi. "Who is Ian?" He asked ask Mark looked around at the courthouse building. Lidiya laughed again, sitting down on the sofa and putting her stocking covered feet up on the coffee table "Ew?" She seemed amused indeed.

Quote:
"Yes, ew." Claudius repeated, walking to the edge of the table he stood on. "Ian is a store keeper in Barton, runs Barton Boutique." Kasinda said, watching both of them. Kitara came out from the hallway, the puppy dry and in her arms wearing only a diaper with a hole in the back for her tail.

Quote:
Lidiya glanced up at Kitara momentarily, then looked back down at the Fae. "Why ew?" she tilted her head. "I may be a little big for you but I don't see why I'm 'Ew'." The wolf nodded. "Where are these other Vampires you mentioned? Mistress will want to meet them - if she can." He asked Kasinda. Gaia seemed like a nice place - and far more suited to Lidiya's needs, even if there was a distinct lack of death in the world.

Quote:
"Fae arn't as sexually inclinded as humans or vampires or other creatures. Most of us are asexual." The tiny boy explained as Kitara sat down on the couch with a sleepy looking Katrina. "Well... I know Kitara knows like... three. Silent, Ala, and Torvil. Though I dunno where they live and neither does she." Kasinda paused for a moment, her expression turning sad. "Even though she knows a lot of people, Kitara doesn't have many friends here."

Quote:
"Ah." The Vampiress nodded. Kaiser tilted his head, wondering why Kitara had few friends - though he didn't press it. "Kai wonders..." He began. "What does Kasinda do here?"

Quote:
"So when do I get to meet Miss Liten?" Claudius asked, flittering from the table he stood on to sit ontop one of the vampiress' boots. "Gaia in general or Durem?" The femme asked, looking up at him.

Quote:
"Both." The wolf grinned, eager to more about his pretty-cat. Lidiya smiled at Claud, finding his current position rather cute."Well, we can try and coax her through the portal, or we can take you to her." She said, wiggling her foot slightly and rocking him from side to side gently. "You'll have to ask Kitara for that."

Quote:
"Well, which would she prefer?" The blue-eyed boy asked, his form shifting from side to side as he was moved. "Well, I don't come into the towns often, normally I'm either at Kitara's house or at the caverns... that's where most of the banthi stay." Kasinda stood and looked at both of them. "You two wanna head back? I dunno how late it's getting in your world."

Quote:
"She'd probably prefer you to go to her." Lidiya said, not even needing to think about that one. Kaiser looked at Mark, who paused and sighed, looking at his watch. "We probably should." he said.

Quote:
"Okay, we'll do that then." Claudius said with a smile. The demoness' head perked up and her ears twitched. Her scythe materialized and tore open a portal right where the trio stood for them to get back. Kasinda smiled and leapt through.

Quote:
Mark and his familiar followed. "That was quick." Lidiya said, looking up at him. Mark looked back her and then down at the Fae sitting on her shiny leather boot. "She hasn't got you licking them clean already has she?" he smirked, earning himself a playful fist in the gut from his Mistress.

Quote:
"Licking her boot?" The fae blinked a silver brow raised.

Quote:
"Yeah." Mark grinned. "She likes it when you do that. Likes to be able to see her face in them." Lidiya laughed. Kaiser said nothing, and just shook his head, then glanced at Kasinda. "I would like to see the Banthi Caverns some time." he said.

Quote:
"Sure. I'll show you them next time you come over." The banthi said with a smile. Claudius just made a face and hopped from her boot. "So you guys ready to head back home then I guess?" The hellspawn asked, looking between the three.

Quote:
"Guess so." Lidiya replied, swinging her booted feet from the coffee table and standing up. She threw the coat and hat back on, not bothering to do the straps up. "Coming?" she smiled, looking down at Claudius and offering a hand for him to hop into. Kaiser smiled and licked at Kasinda's maw. "Kai has one question though." said.

Quote:
Kitara stood up as well, though made sure the drowsy puppy was laying down comfortably beforehand. "Yep!" Claudius hopped onto her hand and sat down on it, ready for lift off. "And what's that?" The femme asked, nuzzling him back.

Quote:
The dire wolf looked down at the Banthi for a moment, his head tilted to the side. "Are the males of your species also so small?" he asked. Mark glanced down at him, stifling a giggle, then glanced back up at Lidiya. She lifted the Fae to her face for a moment, smiling at him with shiny red lips, and then lowered him to her chest, turning him around to face away from her as she cupped her other hand around him to shield him from.... whatever he might need shielding from whilst she carried him.

Quote:
The necromancer paused in the midst of making another portal, crimson gaze slowly turning around to give Kaiser a questioning look. The boy sat down and waited, tucking his legs to his chest. Kas blinked, a brow raised. "They're a little bigger. About a foot taller, not counting the horns... why?"

Quote:
"No real reason. Kai just thought it odd for predators to be so small." he said - an opinion which wasn't suprising considering the size of the now long-extinct creatures he had lived alongside. Most modern predators were tiny in comparison.

Quote:
"Ah, I see." The tripod said with a nod. "Though you'll come see me again, right?" She smiled, her tail wagging. The portal was opened, though Kitara went to Katrina's side and picked her up gently. "Hey... Mark and Lidiya are leaving. You wanna say bye-bye?" The mutt mumbled something incoherant but sat up in her arms. She reached for both of them, wanting a hug.

Quote:
"Ofcourse." Kaiser said, nuzzling Kasinda's fur. Mark hugged the little pup, followed by Lidiya who managed one-armed sqeeze - the other hand carefully handling her tiny passenger. "Bye-Bye" The vampiress smiled.

Quote:
"Bye-byeeee..." Katrina trailed off, her head slumping onto her mother's shoulder once more. "Alright, I'll see you two tomorrow." She reached into her pocket and pulled out the same pendent she had given Kasinda. "Claudius?" Her fangs bit the chain apart, allowing it to be a lot shorter for his neck. The boy stood up and took it in both hands, sitting down again as he tied it around his neck. It was pretty big for him, but he knew how Kitara was. The femme smiled and nuzzled Kaiser once more. "I'll see ya then."

Quote:
The Vampiress smiled, gave a wave, and then stepped through. "Seeya tomorrow then." Mar said, stepping into portal and waiting for Kaiser. "Bye!" the wolf said, giving Kasinda one last lick at her hur before hopping through with Mark.

March 10th
The weather really seems to be looking up, doesn't it? Today it was finally warm enough to take Katrina too the park and she loved it. I showed her how to swing, how to go down a slide, how to ride one of those springy... horse things and how to play hopscotch. I think she liked the hopscotch the best.

My little girl is really growing up. She can walk almost perfectly now and even her words are coming through. Albeit she still only will say one word at a time, maybe one or two more then that but still no complete sentences. That alright though, at least she's expressing herself.

Katrina has also began eating solid food... FINALLY. Though she still really likes chewy or soft things. I think her teeth might still be sensitive. She is only a toddler after all.

Lately I've been thinking of allowing Lidiya and Mark to babysit her... but to be honest, I'm still hesitant. Hell, why wouldn't I be? Maybe when she's older.

Seeing Sevy

Rabid Jigglypuff
The clinking of a spoon against ceramic resonated within the stark walls of the facility's coffeeroom, the smell of of the certain beverage wafting from the countertop machine that was busy percolating. Rabid stirred the contents of her coffee mug patiently, humming quietly as usual as she turned to sit at a nearby eating area. "I know you'll say no but I feel bad not asking. Coffee?" She smiled and sat down in a seat beside her sibling, whom she'd snuck in once again while no one was paying attention.

Sevy sat neatly on the same tabletop, joining the ladies for their relaxing chat as a vacation from the lab tech's work station. His stalk appeared to be growing stronger, almost completely upright on it's own accord. Definite improvement.

Kitara Kata
Kitara smiled sadly, knowing she'd probably dissapoint her sister if she said no to her offer. "Sure, I guess some black coffee wouldn't hurt too much." Even though she knew she couldn't taste it, sometimes she could imagine by how it smelled. Coffee didn't smell that bad, actually.

She had sat down in one of the plastic chairs inside the small coffee room, shifting slightly in her seat nervously as the canine toddler wiggled on her lap with her pink kitty plushie dangling in her chubby arms.

"I see Sevy grew?" The necromancer inquired, crimson eyes looking at the plant sitting on her table. Her head tilted curiously. "So what is it going to be?" Her ears gave a curious twitch, bobbing the top hat that rested on top of them. It was a rather odd looking plant... Though she had a hard time deciphering what type by scent.

Katrina had woken up from her little afternoon nap only about 20 minutes prior, so she was still a little sleepy. Her eys blinked slowly as she slumped in her caretaker's arms with an uncomfortable look on her face.

Rabid Jigglypuff
"Yup, he did." Rabid nodded as she poured the mug for her sister, filling hers with some cream from the fridge. "Hells if I know what he's going to turn out as." She laughed and handed Kitara her mug before retreating to the counter near the coffeemachine again. "He's a venus flytrap, I know that much. I was told so from the beginning." Reaching into an overhead cupboard, she pulled down a box and rummaged through it. "You see the beginning of his first stalk, there." She pointed as she replaced the box and wandered back over to the small group, crouching down to offer a cookie to the sleepy pup in Kitara's arms.

"I know he ain't that exciting," She mumbled as she took a seat again. "But this is a new thing for me, yanno? This taking care of something deal." Sheepishly, she turned her attention to stirring her mug.

Kitara Kata
"Venus flytrap?" Kitara repeated, taking the mug her sister gave her and giving a small "thank you" before looking back down at the plant. "Well, it hasn't been very long since last I was here... you must be taking good care of it." She took a sip of the black liquid before looking up at Rabid and smiling. "I'm really proud of you."

And she was, honestly. She had never expected the chaos demon to actually like doing something like this... afterall, she was much more of a demon then Kitara.

The puppy blinked and looked at the cookie, sniffing the air and catching it's scent before immediantly perking up. A cookie! Ohhhh how she loved sweet things. Wagging her tail she gave a fanged grin and took the offered treat in both clawed hands. Immediantly half of it went into her mouth and she started to chew. Chewing hard stuff was something new to her, so she was taking her time.

"What do you say, Katrina?" The reaper asked, looking down at her.

"Uhhh..." Katrina paused. "Gewd foo!" With another grin and a wag of her tail she started to eat the cookie again with a crumb-covered maw.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid shook her head in disbelief at the sugary-cuteness that was Katrina. She watched the pup down half the treat and softly patted her on the head. "Slowly, or you'll choke." She warned the youngster with care without consciously realizing her civil action.

"Aw, thanks." She grinned like a goof to her sister at the compliment, wiggling in her seat as a testament to how pleased that made her feel. "You watch." She started, pointing a finger to Kitara's adopted child. "When Sevy gets older you'll have a playmate! He'll be fun to hang around, you can be friends!" Rabid nodded in agreement with herself before tentatively adding afterwards. "Just... don't play rough. He's fragile." A mocking pout was followed by a comical hug of the plant's terracotta pot.

Kitara Kata
Kitara had just sighed at her daughter's behavior. Though it wasn't like she had spouted a curse word or anything, so for now she let it slide. The little thing was still only a toddler afterall.

The mutt grinned at the pat, pausing from her cookie to lick the crumbs from her maw. She listened to her auntie, some of the words registering in her tiny brain. "Frieeenda?" Blinking her large brown eyes, her gaze turned to Sevy and her ears twitched. "Frienda don move." Katrina asked more then stated with a confused look on her face.

The demoness meanwhile bounced the child on her leg slightly while sipping her coffee. "Do you know how long it'll be before he grows into a... child or... infant or whatever?" She asked, cat-like eyes going to her sibling.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid smiled and nodded back to her canine neice, pointing a finger to the shoot growing from the soft soil in the planter. "He's sleeping right now. When he wakes up he'll starting growing big just like you do, sono he'll be as big as Katrina." The demoness gave a nod before turning her attention back to Kitara. "No idea." She reached over the boldly prodded the soil around the flytrap shoot as she had many times before to check soil conditions. "Doesn't seem like a kid will pop outta this thing anytime soon though." Rabid gave a laugh that held a sense of nervousness. What kinda monster would this thing shoot out one day on the unsuspecting woman?

Kitara Kata
"Seeping?" Katrina inquired, her ears perking while her head tilted. "Wake up and pay?" She looked at her aunt again before remembering she had half of a cookie to finish. "... Afer cookie." Nothing came before food. So once again she started to nibble on her treat in contentment.

"Well, I suppose that's a good thing in a sense. I wouldn't want Katrina hurting him accidently or anything." Kitara said before sipping the liquid that held no taste.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid fell silent as she sipped at her coffee, pondering much in the quiet between them that was only interrupted by the munching sounds of Katrina's new teeth. "That would suck." She mused and reached into her labcoat pocket to produce a cookie she had cleverly snuck there faster than anyone would've been able to see. Nibbling the end of it, she finally broke the silence. "We dont hafta think about that now anyways." Holding the mug in one hand, she idly reached over and picked at Sevy's stem with the other to manicure the leaves a touch.

Kitara Kata
The tiny hellspawn nodded and finished her coffee, the heat and bold taste having caused her no hesitation. She wanted to say something and her mouth opened partially to speak it... but then she simply closed it and shook her head. "Well, I guess I should head off. I don't wanna be caught in here without a pass or whatever and get dragged out."

Katrina finished her treat and licked the crumbs from her furry hands, then her maw. Mmmm... cookie.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Rabid rolled her eyes behind her black shades and moved to get up, picking up Kitara's mug along with her own to deposit into the sink. "Oh please." She snorted at the idea of her being dragged out by security. For one thing, in her entire time there she had yet to see one member of security at all. Secondly, if there indeed was security personel monitoring the facility she'd be more likely to get into trouble for not doing any work during the day first. At least that's what she figured.

"I'll walk you out." She smiled and picked up Sevy, escorting the two out of the lunchroom. "Thanks for dropping by again, Sevi and I enjoy the company."

Kitara Kata
Kitara smirked and adjusted the canine on her hip as she stood and followed her sister. "It's no problem. If you ever want me to come over while your here just lemme know... it's not like I really do anything besides watch Katrina."

Speaking of which, the toddler was frowning as they were leaving. Chubby arms reached out to the cookie-giving demon. "Hug." She liked hugs and demanded them when she was leaving someone.

Rabid Jigglypuff
"Oh, oh!" Not to disappoint the youngster, Rabid rushed over and gave a hug to Katrina. "Bye bye sweetheart, take care of your mum." She smiled and watched the two as they left.
