Vahn was a person i just never enjoyyed in FF12
and Kuja i hated cuz he was a man-whore I MEAN LOOK AT HIS OUTFIT THAT WAS JUST AWFUL

Least favourite Final Fantasy Character? Cait Sith. Hands down. Couldn't stand that imbecilic waste of space. It almost ruined Dirge Of Cerberus for me when I had to play a level as it.

Well yeah i have to say i hated him too. i was annoyed when i had to play as him too so i mad my brother do that bit

Time for another Top 5. Though hate is a strong word, so I will go with "Least Favorite" characters. And I'm going to stick with Playable characters.

5. TIE: Rapha & Marach Galthena (FFTactics)- Part of the reason why I dislike these two is during the story these two siblings jump in and a for a while your stuck dealing with them and their problems. It wouldn't be so bad but then it's mentioned how powerful these two characters are. What did I get? A big let down in their "Powers" which is nothing more than a random chance to hit an enemy in an AoE. Fortunately they are only relevant for a short time, and afterwards you can cut them from your party so they don't just sit around and take up space. A huge build up in their powers leading to a big disappointment lands them at the #5 spot.

4. Vaan (FFXII)- As a character in general I really didn't mind him, what I didn't like was how Square utilized him as the main character when others were better suited, Square even mentioned that Basch was intended to be the main character, but they switched it to Vaan for marketing reasons. Though fortunately after a while you can take Vaan out of your main party and leave him on the sidelines, but whenever you go into town you default back on Vaan, It's like having Hope as your main character in XIII, at least with that game they properly utilized him as a support character and not thee main one. But what puts Vaan into my top 5, when it was announced he would be included in Dissidia 012, I was incredibly disapointed.

3. Paine (FFX-2)- I really enjoyed X, not one of my favorite Final Fantasies, but it was still one of the better ones in the series. But when I heard they were coming out with a X-2, I had a bad feeling about the game. I still gave it a shot and tried to play it, but couldn't even finish the game. What annoyed me more was Paine, What annoyed me the most about her was that she came across as a male Squall (More on him later) or a spoof/recycled version of Lu Lu but with a sword and as a warrior instead of a Black Mage. Lu Lu was awesome, Paine was to me a secondary knock off who was in a game I didn't care for to begin with.

2. Selphie (FFVIII)- Seems like every Final Fantasy you have the young annoying girl character, Yuffie from VII, Eiko from IX, Rikku X, Vanille XIII, and so forth. Of all the annoying young girl stereotypes they force you to endure in your party, Selphie is the worst. I knew the moment I layed eyes on her when she made her first appearance I was not going to like her. She loves trains so much, I wish I could have just left her on one and move on with the rest of the game. When I finished playing FFVIII all my characters were level 100, Selphie was at lvl 50 something, she was only in my party when she absolutely had to be.

Honorable Mentions: Eiko FFIX, Edward FFIV, Cloud FFVII, Shadow FFVI, Zell FFVIII

And my least favorite Final Fantasy Character is...

1. Squall FFVIII- There have been debates over who was the more moody/emo main character between Cloud and Squall, Cloud was a little moody, but really didn't come off as the big emo people perceive him to be till after VII in all the spin offs. Squall was emo and annoying from the get go. He was unlikeable from beginning to end, and a real personality minus. Why Rinoa liked him so much is beyond me. Unlike anyone else on my list though, Squall is the main character, and is in your party all the time, you can't take him out. You are stuck with him, so his personality minus can bog down the story every moment that it can. Every other character on my list I have the satisfaction of leaving out of my main party and ignoring them, Squall I'm stuck with, and that puts him over the edge and makes him my least favorite FF character of all time.

Vaan didn't bother me that much. Though 12's story would have been better served if the main characters had been Rassler, Rex, Basch, Ashe, Balthier and Fran. [Would have loved to trek the Estersands as Rassler with a killer greatsword]

Think of it: A displaced king and queen, a dishonored knight, two sky pirates and a boy out to prove himself fight to overthrow a crazed despot and his charming, though bull headed younger brother. That's FF enough with plenty of room for the classic melodramatic flair ups and crazy proclamations about honor, duty yadda yadda.

Squall never endeared himself to me, even though I gave him the best equipment/summons grinding and exploring and gil could buy. That was only because he was in the lead and not because I favored him. I would have preferred Laguna over him, even though he does wield my favorite FF weapon, the gunblade. And now that 13 has really developed the gunblade into both a long range and short range weapon, there's really no need to revert back to Squall's weapon.

Unless he gets an upgraded gun and personality....

Snow, his voice was SO annoying and he kept claiming he was a f*****g hero! WTF, sure he got beaten up by what a 14 year-old? >=/

But I must agree Vaan was a very pointless character >.<
