I agree with your idea except for two main differentses one cloud new who he was he just supresed it and took on Zacks life so he could be somone Tiffa could be proud of but Sephiroth had almost no idea of his past untill he read Hojo's report's in shinra maner

i think cloud and sepheroth should have teamed up...I mean, I know they were together in the beginning but...can't they let bygones be bygones.

But cloud is 300 x hotter Depends on your point of view. I have a long hair fetish, so I'm always running my fingers through my boyfriend's hair (Which he keeps cutting short to spite me. I demand a mullet!), and Sephy appeals to that fetish. He also has really nice eyes, and he's got the whole dark evil badass thing working for him, so Sephiroth is a thousand times hotter to me heart heart heart

Cloud's much more psycho than Sephy... I mean - he fabricated 90% of his past, Sephy just wasn't told anything. Oh, and a Nodachi(Masamune) isn't all that much bigger than a Zanbato(Buster Blade)... I mean... COME ON! In pure heft, the Zanbato is more lethal, as the Zanbato was MADE to cut through a horse and rider, including the riders armor. The Nodachi was made to cut through a person's armor, maybe. It was more made to look imposing as hell, Nodachi soldiers were sent in to break enemy lines. But yeah, Sephy and Cloud really WEREN'T that different, I play DnD, you can make them both pretty easily. They can (in essence) be played really similarly, as their motivations are only different in that Sephy wants to become a God, and save the earth. Cloud wants revenge and to save the earth.

Firstly Silver, they aren't really all that different: That's the point of the game. The original author of the plot wanted to show the contrast between two relatively similar characters. Sephiroth wants power, not to merely destroy, and Cloud only REALLY wants to protect the world so as to continue his existence.(in the beginning, at least) Also, it isn't really all that simple... so don't be mean.

I don't think that anyone can beat Sephiroth in the overall amazing department.
He's amazingly powerful, unemotional, has an awesome sword, killed Aeris (don't get me wrong, I love Aeris, I just thought it was kind of cool that he actually killed her), beautiful, and evil (:

But Cloud's cool too, and I do agree with you, they are a bit similar. I used to think they were very similar until I found out about who Cloud truly was, and who Zack was, etc.

skullcrushergurl I'm sorry to say but Cloud is a sweet heart and Sepiroth is kinna like a short-circuted robot. I do'nt get what you mean when you say clouds sweet.I mean he claims to have loved Aeris. But he let her die by the hands of his enemy!! Sephiroth on the other hand is a complete hotttie heart
