She generally didn't like it when Dizi got into people's business but she knew he loved mice almost more than anything else. "I'm sure he's alright."
"She almost ate me!" He chirped around a mouthful of mouse. "After she stole my mouse that i was trying to get first"
"I'm sure you could have found another mouse." She tsked at him before looking at Hisa. "He really likes mice. He didn't hurt you did he?"

"I did not! I only eat other birds if they're dead. And if I'm starving." She huffed in annoyance. At Mapatano's amused look, she shrugged. She'd only eaten another bird on perhaps one or two occasions. And it had been really weird and awkward. But she would still do it if she had to.
"I'm sure she's alright. Besides her ego, of course. " Mapa smirked, lying on is belly and swatting lightly at his bonded's head, and she shrunk back irritably. But she didn't argue, but she supposed he had the right to tease her now.
"I'm fine. " Maybe a few little scratches on her back, but she wouldn't admit she'd been injured by something as puny as.. that. "I'm gonna go. I'll catch a bigger, better mouse! " She announced, glaring at Dizi as she began her take off.
"I honestly don't know what's up with her sometimes. "

She laughed softly again. "i don't think Dizi could catch anything bigger than that and actually be able to get away with it."
She shook her head and let Dizi have his fun for the moment. "Ego's can be rather easy to cure some times"
He grinned in triumph as she left him with his mouse. Her 'bigger better' mouse wouldn't matter. He had -his- mouse and that was the important part. Everything else was just unimportant ... at least until he'd finished eating

"Her Ego will be fine, but she might still be irritable for a while. " Which meant he could have tons of fun bothering her. Mapatano could easily be civil and nice to people, this was a rather good example, he hadn't been snippy to Ashki at all, but it wasn't often that he'd have the opportunity for fun.
"Well, I suppose I smell nice enough now. " He sighed, the sleep was definitely scared out of him now. Sad, he didn't usually sleep that much. It was ironic, really. Hisa complained that he was always so grumpy because he didn't get enough sleep, and now that he was relaxed and almost napping, she wakes him up!
But, he was still lacking an activity. He might as well ask her, though he couldn't imagine what she'd want him to do. And then he could go... hunt. How thrilling. "Is there anything I can do for you, besides leave you to roll in your flowers? Would you like me to be rude to make your Mapatano experience complete? "

She looked at him for a moment before she began to laugh. She just couldn't help herself. She knew Mapatano was usually grumpy and while it had crossed her mind that he -wasn't- being grumpy she hadn't really paid it any attention.
"Oh dear .... i'm sorry..." She reached up and covered her muzzle for a moment. "I shouldn't laugh" Mapa offering to be rude to complete the experience had just been too much.

Mapatano also had a slight moment of helplessness, and smiled a bit at her reaction. Of course, not a very obvious smile, what with him being...him, and all. He hardly felt insulted! Which was good. Geez, he really was in a good mood. "Oh no, by all means. " He waved off the apology. "We can just make it our little secret then? I have a reputation to keep! "
He said in mock urgency, which didn't really sound too urgent, and he stretched out, before turning to walk away. "Good-bye, Ashki. I hope you have a fine day. Or horrible. Whichever you prefer. "
