"Lots'a feathers huh? You collects them?" She couldn't imagine the girl losing the feathers but there were stranger things that happened!
Faris listened quietly as the girl seemed to suddenly dump all sorts of information on her and apparently it was too much for her to even catch on that something was amiss about where the girl and her 'Boss' lived. She giggled lightly and nodded a bit, "Sounds likes someone makes sure you both stays safe," she responded after a moment. "I can move stones and earths stuff. I can also scares away scary bad things."
It seemed like a good easy explanation.

"Only when I see them, the sparrows like to give me them to me sometimes, to say thanks when I feed them on left over bread" Bug had collected several bags full that the girls piles together for bedding and pillows. It never seemed like at lot because they always seemed to need more after a pillow fight.
Bug's face lightened up.
"YOU CAN MOVE ROCKS?! Bug said boldly loud surely the whole tavern could hear her comment. She was just so amazed it had to be a useful ability and there was no doubt she could scare away bad things by throwing a boulder at them.
"Are you afraid of things?". She was bigger there couldn't have been a lot she was afraid of maybe Bug could have Faris around her more as a protector against snakes and cats. Wei wasn't much use in that department, she would just tell her she was being silly, and let her defend on her own.

"Oooh~, I sees," Faris said in understanding with a small smile. "Bug is a very nice kiddie, yis~."
The exuberance of Bug's loud response made her blink and giggle a bit. Activity in the Tavern paused for only a second before the others continued on with their business. It didn't matter to Faris whether everyone knew or not. As far as she was concerned she wasn't really striving to keep it secret. At the question about fear Faris had to pause a moment before she shook her head a little, "Nah, not reallies. I'm jus' scared of bein' all alone sometimes...Like if somethin' happened to my Mama or brothers and they wents away."
The bravest person often admitted their biggest fears, or so Shifu Chan said.

The little urchin smiled as sweetly as she could, she tried to be 'nice' but she didn't really know if she was doing it or not when she was.
Bug's mouth gasped open, she really was courageous!
"I'm afraid of snakes and cats and I don't really like being in the water. I don't have any of those I just have my Boss, but if you loose them you don't have to be alone just come find me. I'm in the park near the bakery a lot." Bug thought she was being helpful, and maybe in return the girl would promise to help her too?

Faris smiled a bit at the younger girl's sweet offer she moved to gently hug the other girl, "Deal!" she chirruped cheerfully and then she added, "An' I will protect you from snakies, kitties, and I dunno how I can helps you with waters, Bug." Faris said thoughtfully and then shrugged, "I cannots swim and I sink straaaaaight to the bottom," Faris explained quietly with a small giggle.

Brightening up to the fact that Bug's plan worked sort of.
Bug pushed to make a gap in Faris' coddling arms to look up at her.
"That's why we have to learn how to fly so we can escape the water! Now that Bug knew Faris was weak due to the water too, it was more obvious they had to work together so they'd never have to worry about swimming with the fishes.
After her announcement, Bug griped her arms around Faris, it wasn't often she got hugs from people. Content she let the gears in her mind wander to plans of lift off with Faris.

Faris blinked down at the smaller girl and smiled a bit at the determination. She gave a small laugh and nodded, "Fine, yis, yis. We will do whatever we haves to. We will fly togethers," she promised quietly though she wasn't sure what would make her fly. The Gargoyle was very certain that Bug would achieve her dreams of touching the sky. Still when the girl returned the hug Faris kept on hugging her.
"I gots'a go back to work. How bouts you come wi' me to the kitchens and I gets you more food for you an' yer boss?" Faris offered with a small cheerful smile.

Bug smiled largely, "Course we will!" as matter of factly as she could. There was no doubt in her mind at all they just needed the right means. All problems could be solved with the right means, thats the major thing she had learned in her short life span thus far.
Staring blankly at Faris,"What's work?" she said as she got up to follow Faris into the kitchen. Lots of people seemed to do it, but what purpose did it serve?

Faris giggled and nodded, "Okies then," and let the subject fall away for now.
She walked with Bug into the kitchen as she mulled over the question for a long, long moment. The Gargoyle wasn't sure how to explain the concept of it as she quietly made sure Bug stayed out of the way of the workers in the kitchen as she started to explain, "Works is like when yous do somethin' for other peoples. If you does a good job at it peoples will give yous something for y'work. Like maybes if you does something for your Boss and your Boss is proud of ya they mights gives you somethin' for it."
If that explanation failed she'd ... think of something.

Being tucked out of the way Bug watched Faris place dishes into water, and saw how she scrubbed away at them.
"Sh...she... she pats my head, and tells me I'm a good girl~! Bug beamed, she had a job just like Faris!
Her stony friend was starting to make a pile of scrubbed dishes. "Can I help?" The little girl said as she pointed at the sink Faris was working in.
She had been nice to feed her, Bug had to repay the kindness somehow.

She did at least start to work just so that there wouldn't be as much of a pile up later despite her little follower. Faris nodded a bit, "Yis! Like that. See? Works can be annnnything. Jus' don' do works for someone who won't give you somethin' good for it otherwise it might make you nots happy. Makes sure you do works for stuffs you really wants," Faris finished as she scrubbed a bit at a couple of plates.
The Gargoyle paused at the question and then pulled a crate over with her foot so that the smaller girl could stand on it and more easily see what was going on, "Okies you can helps. Youuuu take the dishes I hands you and you puts them in the clear waters, kies? You can'ts leave dishes soapies, people might get sicks and stuffs." Faris indicated the sink of clear water where Bug currently was located at.

The little girl's eye's widened "An.. ANYTHING?!" Bug pondered what she could actually do, and what she wanted. Most of the time Bug just wanted food, can people work just for food? But what would she have to do for that? Thinking about that was hard, working was hard. Bug mumbled her last thoughts out loud without realizing it.
Bug stepped up onto the grate and peered into the sink full of water. It was SO clear, she could see the bottom! Dazzled by the pool of water she nodded at Faris and took on of the soapy plates from her. It was nice heavy plate like the one the burger was on, but now slippery Bug lost her grip and it went thunk into the water with a splash.
Bug giggled and purged her arms elbow deep to garb the plate and put it to the side while she waited for the next one.

"Anythings," Faris confirmed with a small nod as she washed another plate and then handed it off. "Gotta make sures they has what they are offerin' you. If they don't then they're not good peoples." The Gargoyle explained quietly to the small girl. Faris' ears twitched at the mumbling and she hid a small smile of amusement at it.
Faris glanced over at the thunk and gave a small giggle as well, "Good things they don' break easy, huh? But you does good job, very good Bug~!" she praised cheerfully and continued on. With them working together like this the task wouldn't take too long, at least not until the next batch arrived.

Bug was shocked when she was told about 'not good peoples.' he little mouth gaped open a bit. So that's what made people not good, but what would make a person, bad peoples ?
She giggled and put her hands to her mouth to muffle the sound, bringing some of the water that was on her arms onto her. Bug was getting quite wet, not that she noticed.
"MmHmm" She answered and softly took hold of the next plate.

Since she was not questioned on bad people versus good people she didn't bother to explain it. The Gargoyle steadily worked at cleaning the dishes and handing them to her partner and soon they were done with all the dishes thus far and so she took out a small towel for Bug and a bigger towel for herself. Faris handed the smaller towel to Bug with a grin as she dried off her hands, "Okies, I gets you more foods for you and your Boss, kies? Would Bug like that?" she asked cheerfully.
Once her hands were dry she set them aside and waited for the younger girl to answer.
