Evan was deep into the pages of sacred texts when a man approached him. "Why even bother, Tainted one? You are beyond saving. Your soul is already desecrated. It would be more wise to take down your robe and go outside, enjoying the earthly joys...While you can."
Evan's patience eventually wore thin. He sighed and closed the book and glanced at the priest who had spoken to him. "If you must know, my interest in the scriptures are academical, not spiritual. Are you aware that if one were to see through the myths and stories, there lies the passage to powers sealed deeply?" The other priest looked deeply offended. "Again with the blasphemy! Put away your nonsense! You are summoned." "By whom?" "There is a commotion in the grounds. All forces are called upon. You would be better help there than in these holy halls." "I would also be at peace away from you." "What say you?!" Evan was already gone through his shadow...
He appeared upon the scene of the commotion, but all he saw was bodies of soldiers lying about.

Taking a deep breath, Hokyo had somehow managed to make it back to the bench in which he sat that morning and took a deep breath as he removed his old boots, they were falling apart as it was, slipping on the new ones he found a delight, they were tight, firm and had no holes. Not that he felt like going and jumping in a mud puddle, but it was a interesting idea. Setting his old boots beside him, he felt as ease. Though he hadn’t meant the kill the large soldier, but it had always been hard for him to not give off to much power, which was likely why he had refused many orders he was given when he was younger, or a few years back would better describe it.
For as long as he could recall, he had always been this age. The shock of many people, including those that had aged around him, but he knew he was twenty; he had no memories before twenty years ago, so it was only logical. He noted a man rushing through the streets, and some guards behind him, giving chase. What was it with these people; they all seemed to draw the attention to the guards.
Here he was, a ex-soldier of the Daton army and he had no problem sitting on a bench with a poster of himself to his left – which did not resemble him at all and these guards chased after random people. Well of course those women he had saved before, were clearly free lancers, they had likely started the attack and knew how to fight, otherwise more of the guards were alive. Hokyo hadn’t had even needed to step in, however the one that was reflecting the others image was drawing on some deep power and likely would’ve caused the town a lot more of trouble then it was worth.
Grabbing his old boots, he stood and took a few steps, into the middle of the street. Though his new shoes, tripped over themselves, and he fell in front of a few of the soldiers that were giving chase to the other man, his old boots slipping out of his hands, and made another soldier trip, making the others fall. The soldiers attempted to stumble up, but it looked as though the man had been able to finally blend in with the crowd. A soldier grabbed Hokyo and picked him up, veins pounding on the man’s forehead. “What do you think you were doing?! You made us lose a man asking about the Red Rebels.” Shouted the man, but Hokyo could only smile and pull his head away from the soldier’s mouth, he had such terrible breath.
“I’m so sorry, I just bought these boots and they are bit too stiff, making me stumble when I got up from the bench, please forgive me sir, I didn’t mean it!” Hokyo made a large enough scene, his eyes seemed puffy like he was about to cry and he kept up a bit of a struggle. The soldier fell for it, which Hokyo couldn’t help but laugh on the inside. “What a wimp, get lost before I make a example to you for anyone should get in the Daton army.” Shouted the soldier, dropping Hokyo onto the ground, Hokyo fell like dead weight his face in his arms, only to hide a bit of a smile that had spread across his face. Pulling himself away from the soldiers, he watched as they ran off after the man again.
Hokyo sighed; he had given the man a few minutes to get away if nothing else. Sighing he let his head sway back, looking up at the sky. What a lovely day it was turning into. Rising to his feet, he brushed off the dirt from some of his face, and walked back to his bench. A small boy came running up to him and handed him his old boots, though as Hokyo glanced at the boys feet, he sighed and urged for the boy to sit beside him. Removing his new boots, he fitted them on the new child. “Now listen here, those scary soldiers, might be big bullies, but don’t forget even they can be defeated by good boots.” Hokyo spoke softly; it was his true voice, a mixture of the Capital and a thick foreign accent. The boy didn’t properly fit in the boots, but he would grow into them. Without a sound the boy ran off to show his parents, while pointing and Hokyo laughing. Hokyo simply slipped on his old boots. “It seems like everything in my life, you are more useful then you appear.” He spoke to his own boots, while glancing at the crowd, no one paid him mind. He had seemed to fade into the background.

Rena was on her way to a local town where she could gather information about the Red rebals incase any had shown themselves to any of the locals. She had a way with her on how to get the exact information as she needed for what ever she wanted. Dantan had given her the mission of searching for many of the old soldiers who had turned against him. So that was mainly on her mind since she knew many of them by sight anyway. Her lead her horse into the town with a light blue hood and cloak over her coverly who she was and her weapons from sight. She didn't want anyone to know she was there until they had to. She went to a local inn which had a room ready for her by a letter she had sent a few days ago alerting them of her arrival. She just tided her horse up in the stables and headed into the inn. She was shown to her room with no questions asked. She had been to this inn many times before so they knew her ruiteen. She walked into the room and locked the door behind her. She went to the window and looked out at the town. She took her hood down to reviel her white hair in the light. "i will find you" she said softly as she looked out. .

Yunari had paused in her step, quite a ways from their current position they saw a man and after that one soldiers. They did nothing as it was not in their contract to do so but that man from before showed up. After seeing his former abilities the girls were not fooled by his apparent trip and fall incident. But what they witnessed after the whole thing brought about very different feelings. “what a sap. I mean really, does he have to stick his nose in everything?”
Yune blinked at her sister and frowned. She crossed her arms and then looked back towards the man “ I believe it noble.” however the two or well Yune had more important things, just like after every fight she had to cleanse herself. Ray thought the whole thing retarded but hey she couldn’t stop the blond when she was set in her ways. Thus the two women turned their backs to the man. Yune mumbled softly under her breath and a small flame appeared in her hand. It swirled around a few times before pointing her in the right direction. The fire was extinguished and the two girls took off.
A holy ground, that was what Yunari sought They reached the grounds and like always, Yunari entered the building and Ray took up a position outside. She did not like such places, they reignited with a power that went against her own and there for she avoided the mat all costs but whenever Yune killed a man she felt the need to ask forgiveness. These were dark times after all. On the inside the blond dropped to her knees to prey while the raven haired woman sat on the ground two feet from the main entrance. Her sword was drawn and she rested it across her lap.
There was a dark power nearby. It tingled her senses and she could only shiver with delight. When she closed her eyes she could see everyone as little lights. Behind her, her sisters was the brightest white one she’d ever seen while she knew hers happened to be a darkened purple. She cast her senses out, feeling people, after all she had to pass the time somehow, Yun took forever.

Evan took a languid look around the scene and pointed out a nearby guard. "Clean this place up. It looks like there's not much left for me to do." As the poor soul was left to clean up by himself, Evan made his way back to the temple. "Honestly, to be drawn out for such waste of time. I have more important matters to attend to." As much as Daton tried to spread his influence on religion for the purpose of propaganda, he rarely directly meddled in the matters of the temple. As the only member of the temple to not have stand against Daton, he had an immense amount of unofficial power in the church. As such, he had an unprecedented amount of access to the holy scriptures. However the church was already trying to find ways to expel him from the church. He needed to use his opportunity the best he can.
As he approached the entrance to the Temple he noticed a woman with raven hair sitting on the ground outside the entrance. She was too well dressed and clean to be a begger. Perhaps someone who has came to confess her sins, but too afraid to do so? No. She had too much of a proud air to confess. "Interesting."
He glanced at the woman momentarily, but continued inside. There was a young blonde woman who was on her knees. There was not another priest in sight, so he was under the obligations of the cloth to guide her in her prayers. It was an obnoxious bind that took more than a oath of words. In these halls, the Oath was absolute, even for the Tainted Holy.
"What may it be that troubles you, my child?"

Gaia Name: Kira_Tatahashi Character Name: Kira Age: 19 Powers: N/A Details: Though she does not possess any supernatural ability, she is trained in both stealth and speed. Weapons: Fists & Enchanted Plush Toy Side: No Allegiance Race: Human Bio: Kira was raised in the country side by her aunt and uncle when her parents passed away, along with her two younger brothers. Her aunt and uncle often went on long trips, leaving Kira to tend to her brother as well as their home. Though she had to develop into a mature woman at a young age, she didn't mind. Her kind and gentle exterior housed a determined heart from within.
During one of her aunt and uncle's trips, a war between a neighboring rivaling village broke out, and Kira was forced to shy away from her usual household duties and take up arms to defend her home and her family. The older of her two younger siblings, Krad, also joined in the battle, and the two of them frequently had to leave the youngest, Time, to fend for himself. Kira was trained in archery, and her brother, in swordsmanship. Soon, the attack on their village came one night without warning, and Kira and Krad went into battle, leaving Time at home, defenseless. When his two older siblings arrived back, Time had collapsed.
After visits to many doctors, it seemed that Time had contracted a rare disease that they could not find a cure for. When Kira demanded to know what was happening to her youngest brother, the doctors simply turned away, and told her his insides were slowly dissolving from within his body. Soon after this revelation, Krad also contracted the disease.
For months, Kira tended to her brothers like a mother would her own children, but to no avail. The two died in agony in the midst of the night on Kira's 15th birthday.
And so, heart broken and without a family to returned to, Kira tore her petticoats and frock dresses, dawned a sleek new uniform, cut her hair short and tied it up, and set out on a journey to fill the void in her chest.
What she found was a life on the run. A life without attachments to anyone or anything but herself. She was born "The Great Thief Kira". Appearance: Kira

The sounds of men's boisterous laughter and shouting could be heard buildings away from the town's local tavern. The honky tonk of the piano being played was unbelievably loud and obnoxious, leading one to believe the men playing it had been drunk and most likely had started when they woke up in the morning. That was the only way someone could play so horribly, one would assume.
The women were plenty, though not as plenty as the men, for their tantalizing attire would start many fights over each of them, and the girls would sit giggling at the muscle bound men fist fighting on the ground below them. They didn't care. These men showered them with pretty little things that no one would ever need, but they seemed to be unable to live without, like their gaudy jewels and musky perfumes. It was absolutely disgusting. Well... the perfume anyway.
A loud screeching sound came from one of the dancer girls dainty little mouths, sending their audience's eyes in the direction she had pointed. And as the men turned, assuming to find a man who had been a little too friendly with the performers, they found a woman clad in a short, leather dress with boots trailing up her long, lean legs. Her chest barely covered in her chosen attire. Her long arms wore gloves which led the eyes almost all the way up. Her skin slightly sun kissed, making her bright blue eyes and platinum hair stand out.
Seeing the men staring at her angrily at first, and then changing to a slightly more intoxicated expression, the girl hesitated at first before leaning over and blowing her new crowd a kiss. She gave a wink and giggled girlishly at them just before she heard a loud thud on the floor just in front of her.
She looked down and found a pile of men's wallets and women's handbags and jewelry had fallen from where she had been hiding them in her clothing. She quickly looked back up at the crowd which was filling the tavern, and she gave a sheepish smile and a wave, attempting to laugh it off. The crowd did NOT look convinced.
The next thing she knew she was running out of the building at full speed, and leaping atop a large crate two men outside were carrying. She jumped off of it and onto the next building's roof just as the crate had given way to her weight, and she glanced back at them. She only had time to look quickly, for what she saw made her turn and run as fast as she could over the maze of roofing. There was a large mob of drunk and angry men running in her direction on the ground beside her.
"Why, oh why did Gizmo have to choose a town so neighborly as this!?" The thief cursed to herself.
Not a moment later, she saw a small toy zip to her side, it's garish smile accompanied with a friendly wave of his large, gloved palms.
The thief scoffed at the toy, and turned away from it again, continuing to run at a very fast pace.
"I blame this on you, you big dork!" She shouted at her companion as she leapt up into the air to jump onto the next roof. Suddenly, though, she felt a searing hot paint in her side, which made her glance at the area the pain was coming from. There she found a small dagger sticking into her side just at the edge of her waist.
She cursed under her breath and fell to her knees on the roof top she had just barely made it to. She rested her weight on one hand, and placed her other hand on the small knife. She gritted her teeth, and closed her eyes as she pulled the knife from her side and threw it as far away from herself as she could. She then covered the now open, bleeding wound with her hand, and looked down into the crowd once more. There she found that a group of soldiers were now following her. And they looked familiar.
"They followed me all the way to this piece of s**t of a town!?" She exclaimed to herself, but was left with no time to ponder, for she watched as another knife was thrown, just grazing her cheek. She stared, wide eyed as it flew by her face, and she immediately stood and raced through the town's edge, and jumped with all her might into the trees growing in the wood beside the village. She hopped swiftly through the tree tops, hearing the voices of her followers gradually get further and further behind.
Her heartbeat slowed, and she came to a stop, letting out a deep breath she'd been holding for some time now.
"We made it, Gizmo..." She said in a raspy, forced tone. And suddenly, she felt herself falling forward.
"Just a little nap..." And with that, she closed her eyes and felt her body plummeting down, down, down... thud.

Ray shuddered as she felt a dark presence. It passed her and she could only smile with glee. Was this person here to confess his sins? Nah, he had a darker color just like her, it made her laugh inside because there will still people like her out there. But she did not move. Yunari could take care of herself, so the raven haired woman stayed put. However she did keep track of the lights. The darker one was getting closer to the white light that was her sister. Most of this time this unnerved her but at this particular moment she wasn’t bothered.
On the inside the blond woman looked up “forgive me father for I have sinned. Once again I have taken the life of another. My sister says that such forgiveness is not necessary but I feel that I must remain pure, his death was in the just but still…. I have committed a great sin.” She bowed her head and clenched her hands tighter together. She was afraid but she knew that if one confessed and asked for forgiveness they would be saved.
On the outside Ray could take it no longer. She was bored! She stood and brushed off her traditional kimono like wear and yawned. He looked to the building before her and situation her sword to a more comfortable position on her back. She hated going to places like those but she had little to no choice. She walked up and poked her head in sighing quite loudly and rudely at that “aren’t you done yet? Ever freakin time, I swear.” She already felt a slight pressure on her mind and body, just being in this place made he more agitated. “you know I hate these religious places. Most of them are just a fake fluke anyway so let’s go.” She sighed, flicked her long black hair over her shoulder and left expecting her sister to fallow.
Yunari bit her lip and looked up at the priest. She could not go without his forgiveness but her sister was expecting her outside soon. But she remained on her knees, solid as a stone. Ray had a point but that didn’t mean anything to her in the long run. “pardon my sister father, she has not the belief.”
Ray growled a bit annoyed. That dark presence was the priest, good looking but she didn’t want him to taint her sister’s light. However, he did have an ominous feel about him. Dangerous, forbidding, and she wanted it.

Bandi sensed the commotion behind him and carefully looked back, and saw a man holding the group of soldiers with a pair of boots. he made sure to quickly lower his face and hide in the crowd, which wasn't hard, thanks to his height being slightly smaller than the average height of the crowd. In the commotion, he was able to slip a wool cloak from on of the stand and wrap around his body and pulled up the hood to hide his face.
In the crowd, he spotted the man who had created a diversion for him. He grabbed his shoulder. "I owe you one. I just wanted to show my gratitude." He shifted his staff to lean on him and offered his hand to shake.

Hokyo was caught off guard by the man suddenly grabbing his shoulder. Glancing up at the stranger, he couldn’t help but smile. It had been a while since someone was able to just come up to him. Extending his own hand, he shook the man’s hand. “I didn’t do anything, I simply tripped.” Remarked Hokyo; with a rather sparkling humor in his eyes. He had often wondered what would’ve happened if he had been taken into a cell. Would he be able to make it out alive? Would Daton come?
Pushing the thoughts out of his mind, he glanced at the man. He was not from this country, and glanced around the crowd for a moment. “The last I was aware Daton stayed out of public problems with other countries, so mind if I ask what would make soldiers chase in such a manner.” He spoke rather mockingly as he glanced past the man and noticed some of the soldiers were making their way back towards them, this was unexpected, and normally Daton soldiers would be pointed in a single direction and keep going that way.
Though once more this was Hokyo’s experience in the Capital, maybe those in small towns had their own brains. If it came to it, he would likely cause a rather hard time. He wondered if he could handle most of the enemy. Though causing a riot, might cause enough panic to make the soldiers confused. Though he would wait for the man to respond, he didn’t feel like trusting someone that didn’t answer correctly.

Evan closed his eyes in dispair of her soul. But underneathe his eyelids, he was rolling his eyes. Everytime it was the same. People who dispaired for their soul in fear of a supposed afterlife in which they were to be tortured in retaliation for the sins they commited. If this was their logic, then would it mean men of heinous crimes would be treated as those who have commited small felonies out of neccessity of life, as long as they asked for forgiveness? But as he was bound by the sacred oath, he was about to release her from her guilt when the dark-haired women in the entrance chimed in.
Her view of religion was very much in sync with his views. He couldn't help but smirk, but it would probably be seen as a sympathetic smile to the unknowing eye.
After much effort he held his toungue on the subject and looked at the blond sympathetically. His sympathy for her, for one thing, was genuine. But only because he felt sorry that she held her heart in such a bind because of guilt that the temple forces on the hearts of their believers. "You have not commited a sin, if you have done so out of a just heart and suffer from pure guilt. The Crusaders have killed many, but they have claimed the lives in the name of spiritual justice, have they not? It is the ones who sin out of enjoyment who are true sinners. Your penitance itself cleanses your heart. Go now, for you are forgiven." He said as he patted her shoulder.

Bandi was unsure as to whether to answer truthfully or not. He had already had a bad experience with that today. But then he noticed the man was shifting his eyes. He turned to see a group of soldiers heading their way. He was guessing this man wasn't on good terms with Daton's soldiers either. He thought it was safe to venture his luck. "My country was invaded once by Daton's army. We have been able to hold our defense, thanks to my peoples'.....unique ability. But we aren't exactly the most offensive people. We were able to hold our grounds for a long time, but the sheer number of Daton's soldiers eventually wore us down. I am one of the very few survivors. I traveled west to join the Red Rebels to bring the downfall of Daton's forces."
He then shifted his eyes to the soldiers. "Are we going to need a quick escape? Or do you think you could talk our way out once again?"

A smile swept across Hokyo’s face. His hand shifted to his belt and pulled out a small metal ball. “Not likely talking will do any good, I’m sure my red hair will give me away sooner or later.” He flung the ball at the soldiers; it bounced on the ground and hit the cracking, sending a Red smoke spreading through the street. “It’s the Red Rebels.” Shouted Hokyo above the screams of terror, glancing at the man he nodded his head.
Leaping up from the bench, he began to count to himself. “I remember your country, it fought bravely against Daton, so if I recall you should have some talent in combat. There are twelve men, and we have about thirty seconds before the smoke falls, can you keep up?” Hokyo spoke as though he was planning most of this from the beginning of seeing the men. He knew the man’s nation; they were deeply strong and had held out for most of the battles that Daton waged against them. However even Hokyo was aware of that outcome, he had helped in it those years ago.
Lunging forward, he vanished into the smoke. His hands gripping one of the confused soldiers, pulling the man over his back, throwing him into the ground, and with a twist Hokyo snapped the man’s arm, and slammed his foot onto one of the knee caps of the man. The confusion of screaming people was enough to keep the other soldiers unaware that they were even being attacked.
Sliding into another man, he tripped him. Sending the man to release the grip of his drawn sword, and Hokyo bent his arm to catch the weapon, it was poorly made, but it would do. Shoving himself up, he sliced upwards blocking an attack from another man, while the soldier that he had tripped attempted to regain his balance.
