A noise slowly stirred Jezibelle awake. She was ready to resettle and just fall back asleep when she remembered Chen. Her eyes flung open, compared to their previous bleary half-opened state a moment before, and she ricocheted up. Her muscles protested to the sudden movement, her body covered in aches and pains - the previous night's exhaustion now apparent in the light.
She glanced across the stables and spotted the male usdia in the same place as the night before. From where she stood it was difficult to tell if he was still asleep or not. Quietly, the mare moved closer. "Chen? Are you awake?"

Chen looked up as he heard movement. It was Jezibelle, just recently awake, presumably coming to check on him. His head moved up quickly as he saw her grimace slightly, presumably in pain from her rescue feats last night. He felt indebted to this mare who not only saved him but also pushed her own body to the limit in doing it.
He smiled at her gently. "I am Miss Jezibelle. How are you feeling this morning?" he asked quietly, listening to Ping snore softly beside him. This was actually quite nice, minus the injured legs. The atmosphere was comfortable and Jezibelle and her human seemed kind. If he had to stay in one place for awhile, this was certainly an excellent place to do it.

"I'm fine," she replied returning his smile, "I'm more concerned about you though. Are you alright?"
She moved closer to him, tip-toeing as to not wake the still slumbering Ping. Jezibelle kept her voice low as she motioned at his legs. "If you'd allow me, I could take a look at your legs. Aponi, my two-legged, has taught me quite a few things about healing."

Chen smiled at her kindness. "Ah, but you put yourself in danger last night as well. Your health is just as important as mine. But I'm am fairly well today. My legs are painful if I try to move them, and I am slightly sore, but other than that, quite well-rested." The Usdia chuckled.
"Many thanks, Miss Jezibelle. I think that would be quite helpful." 'What a wonderful young mare," Chen thought to himself. He loved meeting kind, pleasant people on the road, although he usually was not in such dire need of their compassion. Well, it seemed as if Chen would get to spend his time recovering making two new friends.
