Hmm...my beginning. Well, I believe the first time I really knew of Linkin Park was from Big Shiny Tunes 6. I got it for my birthday in '01. One Step Closer did get my attention, but at that time I was just getting into music, Sum 41 being my initial favourite. Time went by and everyone was asking me, "Do you like Linkin Park?" Well I haven't really listened to them, so I didn't quite know how to answer. My sisters downloaded at some point in time One Step Closer, In The End, and Place For My Head. PFMH was by far my fav of the three, but I still for some reason didn't jump in. When Meteora came out, Roska got a copy and let me listened to some of it, but I never REALLY listened to it. It was either briefly from his headphones or in the background. So then in the fall two years ago, I bought Meteora. When I actually listened to it (just the music, nothing else in the world) I fell in love. Shortly after on my next birthday I got Hybrid Theory as a present and I was blown away again. Then I had some time tracking down Reanimation. I first borrowed it from Roska, but even when I got to listen to it, it wasn't until I got my own did I like it. Wow, my beginning was a long trip.

From the top to the bottom, bottom to top I stop At the core I've forgotten, in the middle of my thoughts Taken far from my safety, the picture's there The memory won't escape me, but why should I care In the memory you'll find me, eyes burning up The darkness holding me tightly, unitl the sun rises up
Mmm, well the first video that got me hooked was Breaking The Habit in the summer of o4' before school started out in 7th grade, I think. I member I would watch VH1's weekly countdown, I think it was simply to watch the vid. I went physco when they were in the number one spot, 3nodding .
Back then I was really into anime so, yah. X3 I started doing some research on 'em, getting Meteora before Hybrid Theory, ecteta.
When I got Frat Party, I watched Crawling and One Step Closer. I so had thought I recalled the greenish feel 'nd kids and ninja's in OSC. I was, 'I've seen them before!' Seriously it was LP all along!' I hit myself on the head. Same for Crawling, I recognized the crystal ice blue-ness.
Their vids are one of a kind. Can't wait for their new videos to air. domokun

My friend Gaby's older brother had Meteora, which I heard once in bout... 2002?
Then for my birthday in 2004 my dad took me to the CD shop and got me a CD for my birthday. I picked up Meteora coz it looked cool and just bought it, not even half sure if they were the band I'd listened to with Gaby in 2002.
Before LP I was an annoying little prep, and LP completely got me into alternative music. Before that I listened to whatever pop crap was on the radio. Now LP is the softest band I listen to.

I originally got it from my brother, whom I was copying (I was pretty young). Except, though I had copied him he had a Green Day poster on his door and I SOMEHOW mixed it up with Linkin Park so I started listening to them and their songs. They sounded pretty good so I started buying their CDs and ever since when I play games I always have like a Linkin Park character unless it is an RPG game.

I heard their Hybrid Theory CD through my sister, sometime in the summer of 2001 and I got it later that year for Christmas. I vaguely remember seeing the video for "In the End" on MTV a lot during school, in the beginning of my 10th grade year and that helped me get hooked, along with a classmate in some computer class who was really into them as well.

My brother was a huge LP fan, and I told him they sucked and that all their songs sounde the same, etc., etc., and, obviously, he proved me wrong.

I became a fan after one day browsing youtube, and saw a certain DBZ- LP mashup with "In the End" as the song, soon after bought hybrid theory and son on with there albums, and I still wonder about there prototype song, "Lockjaw" and what album it could be on.
