 Kira's dream began like normal, she was walking alone on the spring path, heavy tree's overhead, letting bearely any light in. She got to a crossway then the path dissapeared and ashe was in a field, she turned and she would usually see someone like edward there, standing and smiling at her, extending her hand. Butthis time, for the first time in months, it was him. He smiled at her, his raven black hair shining in the dunlight, his gentle red eyes looking at her with love. Natsume. Her dead boyfriend, the one she lost everything trying to get back. His eyes held sadness as he looked at her. "Natsume?" She asked. His hand reached out to her in slow motion, the sunshine turning black . His image began to slowly evaporate away, his person being pulled away from her. "NATSUME!" She called out to him, running, but she was so slow. . . he smiled at her, a tear flowing down his left cheek. She chased endlessly.
"N. . . natsume. . . please. . . " Kira whimpered as her nightmare continued. Her eyes shifted under her eyelids. "Don't. . .die. . .Ple. . .ase. . . " Tears folled the edge of her eyes as her head slumped to her sholder. "Don't. . . go. . "

 ~ Edward Elric ~The entire time that Kira was dreaming, Edward was watching her. She sometimes twitched and her mouth would move like she was talking, but no words came out of her mouth. He turned away, but turned back when she began speaking. Edward blinked and sat up. "Hey.. Hey Kira." He shook her softly. "Kira... Kira wake up." He shook her harder as she continued crying. "Kira."

Kira was shaken vigoriously and her eyes fluttered open to see edwards concerned face. To be honest, she was glad to be awake because of the haunting dream was no more, for the moment. Kira stared at him, sitting up a bit. She yawned a little. "Wh. . . whats wrong, you have a nightmare full metal?" She tried to play off her racing hgeartbeat and fear as non-exzistant.

~ Edward Elric ~Edward made a face and wiped some of the tears that were still on her face. "Me? You're the one having waterworks over here," He said it rather gnetly as he wiped her tears. A faint smile crossed his face and he sat back against the tree, "What the hell were you dreaming about, anyways?" Edward remembered that Mira said he and Kira had pretty much the same past and life. He wondered if she was dreaming about her past.

Kira blinked, touching the tears with a shocked expression. "Are these real? I don't cry. Ever. . . the last time I cried was when I heard nats. . . . " Her voice faded away. She turned her head away from him and said quietly. "Nothing. . . just. . . some memories. . . thats all. Nothing for me to cry about. . . " She stretched and yawned, getting up. She patted her automail arm, rubbing the part where the stub of her arm met automail. "Man,I shouldn't have slept. . . now its in pain. . . " Kira didn't let anyone know when she was in pain. Its just how she was, why let someone elts bear her pain as well.

~ Edward Elric ~Edward watched her get up before looking down at his own hands. "...Mira told me what happened..." He said, not looking up at her. He clenched his hands tightly.

Kira froze, jumping at what he said. Kira immedeatly touched her automail arm, but for some reason she didn't have her synthetic skin on. "About what, full metal, if I may ask. . . " She said almost quietly, but steadily.

Kira's grip tightened on her arm, then loosened. Her voice was soft, not angry at all. "I see. . . mira must have told you. . . . I hear were not so different. . . there was someone you loved and lost too, huh? Your mother...I can see why you would try to bring her back. I read her file. . .she's beautiful full metal. But I'm different. . .you tried to bring someone who raised you and loved you. . . I tried to bring back someone who wasn't related to me at all. His name was natsume. . .and to me and ruka. . . he was family. . . but to me he was more than that." Kira began to tremble at the memory, refusing to cry at all. "I was so stupid and nearly lost the only other person I had left. . . for the sake of not wanting to be alone. . . I'm such a dumbass. . . "

~ Edward Elric ~Edward looked away. "Both of us were young. There was no way that we could've known what would happen. Al and I... Our research seemed flawless, and we had done everything that was said to do, but... We only ended up summoning something that wasn't even human.. The cost was a terrible price to pay: Al's soul and my left leg and right arm.. After that, we took to finding the Philosopher's stone, but that only put everyone's lives in danger.. Alchemy should never be used for selfish means.. It causes an imbalance in things and only destroys what you're meaning to heal.." He looked up at her, "I learned that the hard way. But you.. You still have to finish your journey." Standing, Edward never took her eyes off of her, "I promise to help you because no person should have to relive what I've been through."

Kira looked at edward carefully, watching him as he talked. He knew exactly what she was feeling, so mira was right. "You and your brother are just like me and ruka. . . so mira was right for once. . . I only use alchemy for repairs and fighting, other than that, I'm as normal as any freak around." Kira watched how he stared her directly in the eyes. "You'll. . . "Kira's voice faded off before she smirked happily, extending her hand out. "Nice, I know ruka and I will get out of our rut with your help. . . " He seemed so mature when he talked, it was like seeing a different person. . . He was almost. . . amazing. She rmeembered when she had attacked him so long ago, kira's stomach filled up with guilt. She didn't know him back then. . . knowing him now, it changed everything. And knowing alphonso as well, if she killed him, it would've been like killing an almost replica of her little brother. Kira turned around, a faint blush of embarrassment upon her face. "Listen. . . full metal. . . I. . . I wanna apoligize about. . . trying to kill you and your brother. . . " Kira knew how dumb it was to apoligize, because it didn't change everything. "But just because you pity ruka and I. . .doesn't mean you have to force yourself to do this. . .I mean. I nearly ended your life, doesn't that make you hate me?"

~ Edward Elric ~Edward stuck his hands in his pockets, looking away. "Yeah, sure, a little." He turned back to her. "But i don't pity your brother and yourself. I just don't want anyone to have to re-live what Al and I have been through.." Edward nodded his head sharply. "I'm going to help you get you and your brother back to normal. But, first things first..." He looked around. "WE NEED TO GET OFF OF THIS STUPID ISLAND!!"

Kira stared at him in shock. He was so. . . mature. So,, he was the kind of person who, once his mind was made up, there was no going back. Another quality they had in commen. If he actually did do it out of pity, she would've hated him for it, but. He was something different from what she expected. "I did recon. . . If you'll listen, I can tell you about the island. . . " Kira smiled, then looked at him as if she were happy. "And don't worry, your not the only one who hates my guts. I'l easily hate-able." Once she was done getting her brothers body back, perhaps she'd feed herseld to gluttony. He told her , many times, how he wanted to eat her body because she smelled nice. Maby she'd let him.

One person who'll never, EVER be on my good side is that stupid Colonel." He began giving out of swera words before putting his attention back on Kira. "So, what'd you find out on yoru recon?"

Kira sighed. "That makes me feel better that I have not yet been hated by you, you'd be the first one. Lets see how long it takes you to tolerate me. . . " She sat in the dirt and pointed to the drawing on the ground, redrawing a new one, giving her explanation again.Were on an island of some sort.Its completely oval." She drew an oval and drew an x near the right side, near the middle. "Were here. . . there's a water source here." She drew a little more to the left some wavy lines." I couldn't explore here because there's fresh hardening lava. Which means there's an active volcano, which means trouble." Left of the wavy line, she drew a volcano, and next to it she drew mountains. "The left side of this entire place is a mountain area, so what I gather is that mustang's little sick joke of a program is to make us work together and get along to survive until he is satisfied that we won't argue. Complete crap, when U find him I'm sending him ten feet under. . . " She hissed the last part.All her life, everyione she grew to care for or knew ended up hating her, the only exception was ruka, natsume and mira. Natsume was dead, Ruka she accidentily caused his body to dissipear, and mira was distant.
