She squealed in glee and zigged and zagged, kicking up sand as she went. Sabbia wasn't meaning too, but it just happened. The little green thing tried to turn and hide behind a big rock next to the surf, letting the sea water wash her legs clean of the sand, but she couldn't quite suppress her childish giggle. She quite liked Kai! Maybe she just found herself a new best friend. It would certainly be worth it if he stayed interested in her long enough!

Kai dramatically huffed and puffed as he drew close to the rock that Sabbia had hidden behind. Hearing her giggle as she "hid" brought a huuuuge smile to his face. "Sabbia! Where are yooou?!" He called out playfully, despite knowing exactly where she'd hidden.
"I know she was around here somewhere," he whispered to himself, humming thoughtfully. "Maybe she's right... HERE!" As he said the last word he jumped around the rock and moved to paw her on the head, intent on 'tagging' her.

She giggled quietly as she peered around the rock and watched him. Then he moved from view and she squealed when his paw touched her head. Now she was it and she clambered on top of the rock and planning on pouncing on his head. Her claws digging into the rock made her wince and she didn't get up there. Ugh, that noise hurt her ears! Shaking her head a few times, she let him get a head start before taking off after the bigger male.
"Hey! Kai! You're so fast!" The necklace she had made was hitting her back as she ran, but she knew it would hold up. She tested the string she had found and knew it's limits. Besides, even if it broke, it was the sea's way of saying to try once more and make something better!

Kai laughed gleefully as she gave chase, truly enjoying the game of tag. He knew he could easily outrun her shorter legs so he purposefully tripped and tumbled into the sand. The grainy stuff got all over his fur and mane but he couldn't care less. In fact, he loved it!
He laid still, peering out through slitted lids. He would wait for the best time to pounce.

Oh, ho! An opportunity to pounce him without climbing something? Sabbia took it. She took a running start and jumped into the air, hoping to land on his middle and chew on his mane again, her back feet would be kicking, if that happened, but with no claws. Who would want to hurt a gentle giant? Not Sabbia!
"I've got you now!" Was her battle cry, hoping he didn't move. If he did, Sabbia would get a face full of sand.

Kai wailed like he was going through torture, though it was obvious he was only pretending. He howled and groaned, and even laughed, as Sabbia tussled with him. He was having the greatest time he could ever remember happening.
"Ohhh, you win, you win, Sabbia!" he groaned, breathing hard with laughter. "I give up!"

When he gave up, Sabbia felt a sense of accomplishment wash over her and she grinned down at him before getting off and laying on her side in the sand, panting quite heavily. She hadn't played like this before! Her siblings were often off doing their own thing, and she hers. Maybe he could come play with her every single day! That would be the best.
Her eyes slipped closed and she yawned quite widely, the sun soaking into her fur. "I think... It might be nap time."

Kai chuckled softly, making sure they were far enough from the waves before resting with her. "A nap does sound pretty good," he murmured, content with the warm sunlight beating down on his pelt.
He would stay with her while they dozed, Kai decided, flopping onto his side with a small grunt.
