Alice left after a while. Se went out the door barefooted.

Alice came back and fell on her bed. She never knew how tired she was till now. Immediately she fell asleep. The whole night and half the next day Alice was sound asleep wrapped in blankets.

Alice finally woke up. Her whole body felt relaxed though her back did hurt. Aftermath of falling out of a tree. Alice got up and changed. She left for the beach like she usually did when she wakes up.

When they arrived at the cabin Emily looked at the structure smiling. The smell of the ocean surrounded her.

 "Well, That's my bed. There's my backpack and that's basically all." Lucas said pointing at his bed then grabbing his backpack and opening it.

Emily nodded and sat on his bed, watching him. 'Whatcha doing?" She asked.

"Rummaging through memories." Lucas smiled. He dug deeper and his expression changed. A picture of his mom. He put it in his pocket. He expression changed again after looking at Emily's face.
"So, You want something to drink?" He asked closing his backpack and turning toward a mini fridge.

Emily watched as his expression changed twice. A little worried she nodded and smiled slightly. "Sure." She said.

Lucas smiled. He crouched down and looked for 2 Coke's. Pulling them out he walked toward Emily and sat down beside her and handed her one.

She popped the tab and smiled at the sound of the fizz slowly dying down. Emily took a sip of it and smiled at the flavor of her favorite soda. "Thanks." She said.

Lucas smiled. He held the cup with both hands tight. He took out the picture and looked at it. "Your welcome" He mumbled looking at the picture.

Emily looked up when his voice became quiet. Her eyes fell on the picture in his hands. She already knew who it was, his mother. She stayed quiet, thinking about her own father for a moment.

Lucas watched as Emily's expression darkened. He put the picture away and looked around. "Not much to do other than look at the balcony at the top of the stairs. Wanna come?" Lucas asked extending his hand.

She took his hand and nodded, the thought of her father dampening her mood. "Okay."

Lucas led her to the stairs. They walked up the stairs and looked at the sunset. He sighed at the glorious view.
