A small black Talaye pup wandered through the lush grass of the valley. Despite being fresh out of the basket, the pup acted like he knew everything there was to know and he ruled the world.
When in fact, he knew next to nothing and wasn't all that great in the ruling deparment...especially because he was a bit clumsy.
Speaking of that, the smooth pup suddenly found himself flat on his face, thanks to a rogue rock sticking out of the ground. Quickly composing himself, the pup leapt back to his paws and dusted off his shirt, all the while throwing a nervous glance around the area. No one had seen that right? Deeming the area clear, and thus his little fall unnoticed, or so he thought, John continued his journey through the grass, looking for a bit of excitement.

Hidden cleverly in the shadows of a large rock, the white female pup went unnoticed for the time being. She couldn't help but stifle a laugh at her prey's clumsiness. Waiting for the opportune moment, she sprung from her hiding place and tackled her mate, pinning him to the ground. "Hello John.." she smirked.

John yipped in surprise as he slammed into the ground, the white pup on top of him. John blinked up at her a moment....well at least excitement had found him.
"Hello Jane..."
The black pup replied with his own smirk, pawing at his opposite's hair a bit.
"What brings you out this morning? Besides using me as a chair that is..."

"Do I need a reason?" the other pup asked, taking a seat on her mate's chest.

The black pup growled playfully, continuing his pawing at the other's hair.
"No...but knowing you...you have a reason of some sort...."

John's ears flattened back even more. Greaaat...of all the people to see his little fall it had to be Jane.
"Nothing much....just looking for a bit of excitement..."
The pup reached up a paw, poking Jane on the nose.
"Guess it found me though..."

Pulling away, Jane shot her mate a slight glare and rubbed her nose with a paw. "It certainly did, and it would like for you to stay out of mischief while it's away. Understood?" Her crystal blues eyes peered into his own, searching for deception in whatever answer he might give.

A smirk spread across the male's maw.
"Now would I ever get in trouble? ....or perhaps that is better left unanswered..."
Grinning, John shoved the female pup off and hopped back to his paws, circling around her a bit.
"Honestly Jane you need to have some fun....it wouldn't kill you you know..."

The female managed to keep her feet, stumbling only a bit as the male rose and pushed her away. "No...only you'd be foolish enough to attempt that, John," she smirked, keeping an eye on him. "I don't need to have fun...between you and my job, I have plenty to keep myself occupied."

"Well fine....if you don't want to go looking for fun with me..."
The male stopped circling, grinning at her.
"Perhaps I can find another lady in the meadow that would..."
Knowing that would probably infuriate the female, John took off running, a rather large grin plastered on his face.

Jane's brow furrowed as she let out a rather furocious growl. Turning, she sprinted after John. In her heart, she knew he'd never betray her of course....probably. But if he did, he and his new girlfriend would wish they'd never emerged from the safety of their baskets.

John continued running, occasionally smirking back at the female. He knew that'd get her to chase him and have a bit of fun...
Caught up in grinning back at the chasing female, a rogue rock once again got the best of the black pup, and he went tumbling head over heals until he was stopped by a tree. The collision with both ground and tree sent the glasses flying off his face, the yellow tinted eye wear landing a few feet away. Momentarily dazed, the black pup struggled to regain his senses.

Taking no pity on her fallen mate, Jane ran over and tackled him, doing her best to pin the male before he could defend himself.

John let out a slight "oof" as the air left his body, the black pup pawing up at her weakly before being completely pinned.
"Hello again Jane..."
The male gasped, slowly getting his breath.
