Nicole nodded to them both with a smile. From what she can see everything will be fine with Melody for the moment. Sandy looked like a child she will have fun with. "I will get the flare gun." She said and calmly walked over to where Mandy was and asked for the flare gun. Few moments later she came back with the gun in hand.
Melody felt a little uncomfortable with her mom now nearby. Sure it was for her own good but still it was her mom none the less."Nice to meet you Mr. Tybalt. I don't think you are old or weird at all." She chimed happily as she watched her mom walk off to get the flare gun. It seemed like a good time to look for a path for them to take. "What path do you like to take Sandy? I like that one over there." She said giving her opinion and pointed to a path to the left as her mom returned giving a odd look at her child pointing off somewhere.

Ahh good perhaps it was a little vain but Tybalt didn't like the idea of having changed enough maturing that he seemed old and boring to kids these days. He couldn't very well base anything off Sandy reactions either since the child loved him no matter what. " We are trying to decide where to go" Tybalt explained to the returning woman upon seeing her confused look.
Sandy examined the path in question, it looked clear and well lit, there were footprints all over it so maybe it was popular becuase it was one of the best paths. Delta seemed to agreed and began straining in that direction until Sandy took a step forward and smiled back at Melody. "I think you picked the right one." There would be no convincing Delta otherwise now and there was too much around for the tentacle to grab onto if he got mad becuase they went another way.

Melody giggled and watched as Delta pulled Sandy towards the path. At least she chose one that it liked or that was what it seemed. With one quick check of her things she decided to lead the way and made her way to the path. "Let's go! Everyone will be done if we don't get going! Come on Sandy! Mr. Tybalt! Mommy!" She chimed as she skipped towards the path. Her wings and tail helped her keep her balance as she made small twirls a bit until she felt like it was time to stop.
Nicole nodded to him then saw her child walk off. "Ack! Melody! Don't run off!" She freaked and tried to keep up with her child. She called back to Sandy and Tybalt"I am sorry she is like this... She is too excited I think...." She really did not know how to stop her. If she made her child mad all hell will break lose or so she thought. It was best to let her do what she wants for the moment.

Sandy just laughed and chased after Melody," You should look for birds while I look for bugs," the spawn suggested. If they were both looking for different stuff their lists would surely get completed faster.
Tybalt shook his head in amusement and lengthened the strides of his long legs to keep up with the others. " She's just a kid it's fine," They had to stay on the path anyways and the redhead figured the children weren't too likely yo end up out of eye and ear sight given that they were also supposed to look for stuff which meant not racing down the dirt path at breakneck speed.

Melody stood in the pathway to let the others catch up with her. When she heard Sandy's suggestion she nodded and pulled out her binoculars. "Okay Sandy!" She chimed and placed the binoculars over her eyes and slowly scanned the trees for any sign of birds hiding among the limbs.
Nicole tried to calm down and let her child have fun. She wanted to respond to him saying 'but she was not a normal kid' but held her tongue. it was better just to let Melody have fun during this hike rather than setting her off.
The wrath spawn scanned the trees slowly till something caught her eyes and used her binoculars to get a closer look. Among all the green she spotted a blue bird with a white belly and looked at her list to see if she spotted a bird among her list. "Sandy. I see something up there. I think it is a.. um... Blue Jay. That is it." She said holding back any yelling from excitement to scare it off.

Sandy had thus far only seen an ant which wasn't on the list when Melody alerted them to the presence of the jay. The spawn jerked their head up and stared for a moment, green eyes going wide. They too checked the picture on their list then nodded " I think so too." Epsilon wiggled happily and then brought the marker it held down onto the paper to mark one of the boxes. "Good scouting," Sandy praised their friend.
