As he started to go Eve felt helpless fear and he didn't know how to show it. He didn't want him to go. "Papa...." Eve whimpered tears coming to his eyes.

Ren smiled slightly and dropped to his knees hugging Eve stroking his hair,"Don't cry Eve"

Eve's tears receded and he snuggled against his father. The comfort he felt allowed his wings to come out for the first time. "Don't leave me." Eve whispered in a plea. Eve felt selfish.

Ren smiled,"Ok...Anything for you"he then noticed the clouds turn gray and it started sprinkling."Uh oh...Its about to storm"he said as he picked Eve up and took him to his room.He set Eve on the bed and sat beside him,"Are you tired?"

Eve yawned and his eyes were half lidded. His wings were tucked in behind him. "No." He said stubbornly as he appeared to be nodding of.

Ren smiled,"Yes you are...Its ok...get some rest"he said as he kissed his forehead and pulled the sheets on him,"Daddy's right here"he said as he got under the covers with Eve.

"No." Eve said stubbornly with a cute frown. But that 'no' did not stop him from snuggling close to his daddy; holding on to him and seeking his warmth and comfort.

Ren smiled and wrapped a arm around him until a LOUD BOOM sounded out and the lights went off.It was thundering and raining hard.He held Eve close just in case he was frightened.

Eve heard the large boom and clutched at his father fiercely. He began to shake in fear.

Ren held him closer and kissed his head,"Its ok,Eve...It'll pass soon I promise"he said patting his back gently.

At the gentleness of his father Eve began ease. He snuggled closer like a small animal burrowing in a den. Eve was really happy. He loved his new papa. "I love you papa." Eve said.

Eve stiffened when he heard the other boom. But he soon relaxed at his fathers continued stroking.
