Yoru scrutinized Son Tzue’s bold statement. Although far-fetched, she said it with such confidence that even the bamboo child had to at least consider the idea that the three of them had met before. Yet, the vital question was “where”. He was absolutely sure that he had never seen either of the other two children before in his life, not until now. So how come they exuded that undeniably familiar aura? Yoru silently shook his head. Enough of this conundrum! He could think about it later if he really wanted to answer.

“Well, I’m sure Byeoung won’t be too worried when he finds out I’m gone. He knows I’m responsible,” he reassured. Hopefully. “I haven’t really had the chance to play with other kids, so it’d be nice if I could hang around with you guys for a while.”

Bai Mei found himself a bit in awe of the fact that Song Tzue said that she was here on her own, he wasn't one that went to terribly many places alone so hearing her say that only made his opinion of her that much higher. He looked over at Yoru when Song Tzue suggested they go find the one called Byeoung that he was traveling with but the boy with the pretty hair didn't seem to worried about finding him, said that the man wouldn't be to worried and that he was responsible. Bai Mei found himself a touch worried that he was the only one in the group whose parent or companion might end up worried. He could only hope that wasn't so, worrying the man was the last thing that he wanted to do.

"Since we aren't going to go to find anyone what should we do?" He asked of Song Tzue and Yoru, he was up for anything himself, felt as though anything would be somehow more special were he to be enjoying it with his two special friends. He slid a hand into his pockets to check on the bit of money that he had on him, not a lot but he was sure that he could afford food for everyone with it, "We could go get something to eat if you like, I think I have enough to cover us." He offered to the pair.

Song Tzue glanced at Bai Mei, aware that the boy’s guardian did care a lot for his son and was prone to worrying about him. She touched bumped her shoulder gently against his and gave him an inquiring smile. “We can go let you’re father know first if you want to? But he shouldn’t worry because I’ll always take care of you.” If Jing Lin worried too much he might come looking for Bai Mei and ruin the fun completely.

There was money in her pocket as well and spending it sounded like a good idea. “Okay, I can help pay for it and we can get something extra nice. I know! We’ll go get some food and then, there’s a park nearby, we can go play for a bit and feed the ducks at the pond.” It seemed like the perfect plan to her.

It seemed that Yoru was the only one that lacked pocket money at the moment. Since Byeoung-Keon hailed from a family of businessmen it was expected that he took money handling and budgeting very seriously. If it was not necessary, there was a miniscule chance that the lad would actually work up the heart to buy it, not that it particularly bothered Yoru. The child had nothing special he wanted at the moment. Being able to be with his guardian and play his flute wherever he wanted whenever he wanted was satisfying enough for him.

“Sounds like a plan to me,” he consented with a curt nod. “I could even play my flute as we walk along.” Eagerly grinning, the pink-haired boy held up his bamboo flute to emphasize his point. Who didn’t want cool background music while they went on the adventure of a lifetime? Well, perhaps it wasn’t a journey full of thrills and adrenaline, but for a group of children that usually stuck close to their guardians, this was an incredible chance.

Bai Mei seemed to be thinking hard on Song Tzue's offer before giving a nod of his head, "That's a good idea, actually, if the two of you don't mind. I might be able to play for longer as well if my Father knows where we are going." He sounded quite pleased with that possibility as he would like to spend what time he could with Song Tzue and Yoru as he felt so content and happy with the two of them.

The plan to go to the park to play as well as getting to go and feed some ducks sound like a great way to spend time, it wasn't often that he went to the park since it was far to crowded a place and his Father didn't like places that had to many people in them. The only time that they went anywhere crowded was when they set up a little stand in the market place to sell some of Jing Lin's smaller pieces of work to the general public. It was a change of pace from what he normally did, making special orders for people and then delivering them to those people's homes or places of business.

The yellow eyes of Bai Mei lit up when Yoru offered to place a song for them and he gave an eager nod of his head, "Oh, I would like that a lot! Please do play for us, Yoru." He said, clapping his hands together as he awaited the song that the boy with the pretty hair was going to play for them.

“A song?” Song Tzue grinned. MeiLin had tried to get her learn an instrument once; but the Pine child had no inclination towards it. She much preferred being able to listen to music, rather than make it herself. “Great! You should play as a song right now; a song to start our adventure with.”

And so their day had been decided. First stop was to find Bai Mei’s guardian and make sure he wouldn’t panic, then food and afterwards, the park. Song Tzue couldn’t really remember being any happier than this. She gazed expectantly at Yoru; waiting for him to play them a quick song before they began with the fun.

“With pleasure!” chirped Yoru, bringing the wooden flute to his lips and carefully blowing out a few experimental notes. He paused, considering what kind of tune to play before absentmindedly nodding his head and starting off with a quick, cheery melody. His fingers quickly moved, covering and uncovering the various holes on his flute.

Continuously playing the song, he looked at the other two children and half nodded his head, motioning for the pair to make their next move. He had no clue what the group should do next, so he was better off just staying behind playing peppy background music while Song and Bai Mei lead the way instead.

Bai Mei gave a happy sound listening to the nice music that was being made my Yoru's flute, smiling away as the trio of them walked along. He was so taken by the music, it was so pretty and so amazing! He wished he was able to do something that grand he thought to himself for a moment before he looked over at Yoru, "That's amazing! Was it hard to learn how to make such lovely music?" He asked of his new friend.

Looking around as they walked he spotted Jing Lin ahead of them and he gave an excited sound, "Ah-ha! There he is!" Bai Mei said, pointing at the man in the glasses who was coming back toward them with some cloth wrapped slabs of jade. He looked to Song Tzue and then Yoru, "You want to go say 'Hi' with me?" He asked of them.

The music seemed to flow through her; the cheerful cry of the flute reminding her of summer days and of glorious playful times that she had not experienced in this life. Song Tzue linked her arm with Bai Mei as they walked, barely paying attention to where they were going she was so enjoying just the sound of Yoru’s music. This seemed so much better than anything else she had ever heard. Even the talented bands that played at the expensive restaurants her grandfather insisted on taking them too.

Luckily it wasn’t too long before Jing Lin appeared and Song Tzue shook herself free from her music inspired daze. She gave a firm nod at Bai Mei’s question. “Of course.” She might be needed there to convince her friends father that he should be allowed to come along on their day of fun.

The positive reception to the flute-playing made Yoru pleased. It was rewarding to know that hours of clumsily figuring out the intricate workings of his instrument did not go to waste. He paused his music to answer Bai Mei. “I guess, yeah. It’s not hard to make the notes, but putting them together is kinda hard,” admitted the boy. The lack of a flute teacher also made learning how to play the flute an arduous task. It was a good thing he had plenty of time to fiddle with it.

Just as he was about to continue playing his song (which was entirely improvised, amazingly enough) Bai Mei pointed out his father to the rest of the group. Yoru also nodded his head in affirmation. “Sure!”

Giving a smile Bai Mei made his way over to where his father was, giving the man a happy smile and hugged him carefully so as not to bump the precious packages that he was carrying, "What kind did you get?" He asked in a curious manner.

"Two of green and one black." He said, the second one was the one that he had been looking for some time and it meant that he would be able to make something very beautiful for a customer that had been wanting a dragon done in black jade for some time. He gave his son a smile before looking passed him to Song Tzue and then to a new child, "Hello." He greeted the pair in a friend manner, always happy when he saw his son playing with other children as though he a normal boy like everyone else in the village instead of the 'son of a fox' which some people rumored him to be.

Bai Mei motioned to Yoru, "This is our new friend Yoru! We are going to go and play, the three of us, is that alright?" He asked of Father in a hopeful manner, starring up at him with large, puppy like eyes.

Jing Lin starred at him for a long moment before giving a little nod of his head, "Alright, I will go and drop this stuff at home, you guys have fun and I will come back to pick you up in a little while." He said, not wanting to leave him alone for to long but didn't want to deny him the chance to play for a while with friends that he was obviously having fun with.

"Thank you!" The white haired boy chirped, sounding quite excited now that he knew he would be able to play a while longer with his two friends.

Song Tzue followed alongside Bai Mei, letting the white-haired boy talk. If there was any refusal, only then would she take charge. She nodded politely back to Jing Lin, giving him an odd smile. She hadn't realized how tense she was until the man gave his assent; she hadn't really wanted to be forced into causing a fuss in order to play with her friend.

"Thankyou. I promise to take good care of him." Song Tzue told Bai Mei's father with a serious expression. This was a duty she took very seriously and she wanted him to know that. They did after all share him... for now. "We're going to the park to play; so if you want to find us, that's where we will be."

Yoru politely waited as Bai Mei embraced his guardian. Melon-colored eyes watched inquiringly and with a tinge of envy. He treasured Byeoung-Keon and he knew that the lad cared for him back, but Byeoung-Keon was not keen on expressing his affection through intimate gestures like hugging. He was a man who dealt things in a professional, formal manner, through and through. As Bai Mei gestured toward him, Yoru hastily bowed as he introduced himself, just the way BK taught him. “Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Once the man gave his consent, Yoru’s face lit up and he eagerly turned to look at the other two. He raised the flute to his lips to rattle off a brief array of cheery notes. “I’ve never really been to the park before. What’s it like?”
