"My Papa is over there, he likes books and stuff, he has a lot of old books at home." he smiles, motioning to Theo, who was indeed, looking at the book section.

"Mom and me like books too, but she's easily distracted by reflective objects. I'm kinda amazed she managed to teach me to read and write with the amount of gleaming stuff in our house." Ask said while peering at Anox's father. He'd never seen someone like that before but again, he wasn't surprised. "Do you like books? Supposedly I'm supposed to be going to school soon but we have to wait for the administration to assign me a room mate."

Anox laughs softly and nods, "Oh yeah! Papa has a whole library in our house, it has lots of books in it, and i can read anything i want. My uncle Dark taught me how to read, and Papa is teaching me how to write really nice, he says my teachers will appreciate it, 'cause i'm supposed to be going to school too." he smiles, rocking a little on his feet as he plays with the squishy ball.

"Yeah I learned to do that stuff a while ago, but writing was the hardest. Maybe we'll be room mates since you're going to go to the meta academy right? I mean we're both metas and I hear we all will go there." Ask dug around the display for another fun squishy toy.

"Papa is kinda busy sometimes, and we just got back from... A... from a vacation, and he didn't wanna teach me anything when we were having fun." he lies, looking away, it was supposed to be their little secret after all.

"Some vacation." Ask's secret-o-meter was going off. He could tell there was something off with what Anox said but he was looking nervous so he let it alone. "You do know the alphabet right? I can start showing you words."

"Oh! I know all my letters, Papa is just trying to teach me how to write neat, he says my handwriting is bad, and the teachers won't be able to read it..." he says sheepishly, blushing a little.

"Oh, that's good then, I hate practicing handwriting." Ask pouted. Really what was the big deal about it being legible? He and Shiny could read it. And he didn't want anyone else reading his Journal. Of course teachers should be able to read it. And he'd seen some adult's handwriting that was completely illegible his was only mildly so.
