What to speak in conversation that wouldn't be awkward she wondered trying not to let her mind run away with her. "Yes it is" she commented. Stepping further into the wood she heard the small frogs as the lightning bugs flickered. They were almost there.
"Very interesting. So Hal you never did tell me what you like in your dates. I think you should clue me in, don't you?" she smiled with a perk of curiosity on her tongue wondering just what he was capable of.

Hal chuckled at the inquiry, still keeping in stride with her as they moved through the wooded area. "What do I like on my dates? Well now, that's a very good question... now, what would you do if I told you I like it to be a surprise, hmm?" He smirks, feeling very c**k-sure of himself right now.

Polaris laughed to herself that Hal was really good with his games. A little too well as a matter of fact since they were emerging near the lakeside. A settled calm and peaceful feeling washed over her as she led him out onto the large rock that extended into the large lake. It wasn't too far from Lake Haven either which she might retreat to once morning arrived.
"Well here's my big surprise. I hope you're the romantic type." she smiled settling herself on the overhanging rock letting her feet dangle. "I really like coming here and collecting my thoughts on hectic days."

Hal gives a lifted brow expression to Polaris at her remark, settling himself down beside her on the rock. "I can be from time to time... when the situation warrants it." As he speaks, Polaris can feel Hal's paw sliding itself near-subtly atop her own... his tail setting the lantern down behind them.

Polaris shudders feeling the warmth of his paw a tiny smile of relief washing over her. "Someday even the kids get way too hectic and out of line. Adele the gaurdina is a big help but usually leaves the kids up to me". She then let herself lean slightly into him hoping he wouldn't mind. "Its possibly one of the best places I know that's quiet and you can just let yourself go". Letting out a soft sigh she closed her eyes fully resting her head on Hal's shoulder as her long emerald tresses slide over his shoulder.

"Yeah, I can imagine that the kids can get a little out of hand... which is why it's always nice to be able to spend sometime alone... or with someone." Hal's paw covers her own now, his body allowing her to lean against him... not at all minding as he head comes to rest on his shoulder.

Polaris couldn't help but notice Hal smelled rather nice. She smiled as his paw covered over hers. It was indeed a wonderful feeling to be close to someone you just met?! Okay maybe that wasn't the right words but Polaris did indeed feel more close to Hal then before.
"Have you ever wondered if the whole truth about fate and destiny might not be a myth?" she murmured moving her head to nuzzle into him closer. Perhaps it was just the night speaking in her tired mind, but she was so relaxed she might fall asleep right there.

"I have wondered from time to time if fate and destiny have a lot to do with the things that occur in one's life... and, after today, I think I'm a little more inclined to believe in it." Hal smirks and winks at Polaris, his tail flipping free of the lantern, it coming to rest against her own.

Polaris hated the fact watching children then a celebration party had literally tired her out. But she was coherent enough to capture Hal's words as his tail rested on top of hers. When she had last been this comfortable she'd never know.
"Inclined?" she murmured softly. "Are you admitting you like this little excursion Mr. Jordan?" Her words were playful as they left her lips yet her tiredness still showed through past her being silly, or rather amused Hal was taking a serious interest in her.

"Maybe I was hinting at it... maybe it wasn't." Hal smirks, leaning against Polaris some as the fae began to drift in and out of consciousness... a thought or two running through his mind as he looked into her eyes, that ever-so smug smirk of his becoming what one could consider a smile. "Of course, I think you're smart enough to figure out that the answer is indeed a yes."

Her eyes watched him as luminescent as his lantern that flickered beside them. A soft hued green that shimmered into his hidden own orbs of blue. She smiled faintly letting herself slip into a soft sleep, "Or is it something more? I've never felt this comfortable before with anyone. Consider yourself special." She pursed her lips letting her eyes flicker closed slowly.

Hal had been fighting the urge to kiss her all night... and, oddly enough, he didn't understand why he felt this way about her or even what was provoking those thoughts... so, after holding back a little longer, those pursed lips of her's are met with a kiss.

Polaris snapped awake as his lips pressed upon hers rising to meet his own. She had not known him for that long if even a night and her heart felt complete with Hal. Closing her eyes she gave into him feeling warm and secure. After a moment she pulled back smiling, "Well that was quite unexpected Mr. Jordan. But I think I could get used to that." She blinked looking into his own shadowed eyes wondering if there was more that he was running through his mind he might of wanted to say.

Hal could only smirk as Polaris pulled back with that smile of her's, his chin resting on an open paw as he looked deep into her eyes, despite the obscuring mask worn over them. "There could be more to it, yes... that all depends on what you want."

Her eyes questioned him then paused with her own thoughts. Speaking what came to her mind, "Would you like to stay? I mean with me?" she murmured still smiling wondering why she was the one asking. "You good with kids Mr. Jordan?" Amazing how a night of romance always brought her back to her job. Ah well somethings never changed now did they?
