Sten raised it's gaze from the spider half and it's food to that of the masked human half. "Hello." It was a simple thing, just one word but with something almost akin to warmth behind it. Sten was trying to be welcoming and inviting and it's own way.
~ Uzi nodded "We were all very different then," though lauss had not changed much upon growing that she remembered.

Aoi nodded, thinking "Makes me wonder what we'll be like in the next stage...if the change will be so great, both in how we look and act..." He was quite curious about the subject; he felt sometimes almost as if he'd already shifted in how at peace he felt as of late.
There were a few moments of silence as Feodor watched Sten shyly. There was an improvement, though in how Feodor seemed to have shifted from fear to simple anxiety, seeming more timid now than frightful. His lips moved silently, forming the word 'hello' with their tiny movements, but no voice was put to them. He gradually stopped knitting, slowly raising his hand as if to wave, before stopping, having changed his mind, and allowed his hand to very slowly reach out to Sten, to shake, having seen Josev use it to greet many times. This was actually a rather huge display of trust comimg from Feodor, considering his usual reluctance. Josev was impressed.

" Look maybe, act I do not think so" Uzi murmured. The huntress couldn't imagine thinking any different than she did now and thus acting different becuase of those new thoughts. It was possible but highly unlikely.
~ Sten didn't hesitate at all to take the other's hand and shake it. This the proto had seen many times, it was formal but friendly and very important. The essentic squeezed a little and hoped it was exerting the right amount of pressure as how hard you shook was apparently also important. "What do you do?" Sten did not release Feodore's hand as it began to question the other proto.

Aoi nodded in agreement with Uzi. “Yeah, emotionally I think it’s more of a…gradual thing, you know? Even now I feel different than when I first got to Alter, if I change any more it wouldn’t be that sudden…even physically, I guess I’ve changed a lot already.”
Feodor began to withdraw his petite hand, but it seemed the other Proto wasn’t letting go. This didn’t exactly help him relax further, and his nerves began to fire up a little more, anxiety setting in thickly as he heard the other’s question. He swallowed slightly, using his other hand to lift up the scarf he’d been working on. His voice was barely a whisper, timid, soft. To one’s ears, it would barely seem to be there. “I…I m-make this thread, I sew…use m-magic with it…” The tiny Proto was shaking ever so slightly as he spoke; he rarely spoke in front of others, deathly afraid of doing so in front of anyone he was not very, very familiar with.

Uzi made a small noise in the back of her throat, unsure what to say to that. They were odd beings and they changed and grew in ways very different from the people around them. It was hard to guess what the future might hold. The huntress' attention moved back to the two protos for a moment and she grinned just a little. "This is going well." Uzi was pleased both that Sten seemed dominate in the situation a and that her legacy had succeeded in getting the other proto to accept it's boldness and talk.
~ Sten's crimson eyes flicked between the scarf and the masked essentic before it. That was.. well Sten wasn't sure what to think of that job other than the fact that it was different. With no words for the situation simply released Feodore's hand and used the now free appendage to reach out and touch the orange fabric. It was incredibly soft and surprisingly warm to the touch. Sten's eyes went wide with surprise and awe "It's magic" it confirmed.

Aoi remained quiet for the moment, wondering what the next shift would be like for the both of them. Misha had gone blond when he shifted, but what would happen to them? Aoi had petals in place of hair for his entire life, might that change, now? So many possible ways to go, would his color stay grey through the next shift, as well?
Feodor nervously watched as the other proto shifted focus, withdrawing his hand as soon as he could. He observed quietly while Sten examined the scarf, smiling ever so slightly at the proto's amazement. Just because he was shy didn't mean he couldn't be happy that people enjoyed his work, after all. He nodded at Sten's confirmation as well, lightly touching one of his tiny hands to the surface of the scarf. At the touch, faint solar designs of a mellow, cheerful yellow glowed gently from the rich orange fabric, the warmth of the material growing mildly warmer centered around the little sewn-in suns and solar rays.

Uzi's eyes narrowed as she watched the designs appear on the scarf, well now wasn't that interesting. Not a skill or talent she could use but certainly impressive, briefly the alter wished she could have brought Fran if only to ask him what he might have seen there if anything. "You have talented offspring" she murmured approvingly to Aoi, tail swishing lazily behind her.
~ Sten simply stared down at the scarf as they moved their fingers over it. Magic, so much magic.. for the first time in their life the proto was jealous.
~ Callum flicked his wings to prevent cramping and smiled. Well if nothing else the pair seemed to be building respect for each other.

Aoi smiled as he watched Feodor's latest weaving come alive, so to speak. "Well, Magicker talents look fancy most of the time..." A mellow joke; Aoi was rather proud of Feodor's development. "He works really hard on the things he makes, it's good he's finally showing them to others. What sort of thing does Sten work with?"
Feodor remained wordless as Sten watched the scarf's patterns change; there was plenty of scarf for them to travel along, as the garment itself was rather long, Feodor had been working on it for a long while and it was very nearly complete. The hardest part was figuring out how to put higher levels of magical influence into thread.
Josev retained his smile, watching the little scene; this was surely good for Feodor's self esteem.

"Pride can be a good thing," Uzi agreed "Sten works with people," the huntress explained. " He can tell when they are lying and concealing information." A useful enough skill and one sorely needed in this place it seemed.
Eventually Sten released the fabric and nodded quietly unsure of what to say now, or what it could say after that display.
Luca cleared his throat quietly "I`m going to grab a drink, does anyone else want one?" Everything was too quiet for the demon at the moment and he needed to stretch his legs anyways.

Aoi nodded, listening. "Oh, that must be very useful...Not just here, either, it sounds like something that could be helpful most anywhere." He shook his head at the drink offer; he'd had plenty to drink before he left the nursery. Feodor remained silent for a moment, swallowing slightly as he considered what to do next. He knew the other proto was fascinated by the magical properties of the scarf, and with a leap of bravery, he spoke again. "If...if you want, you could have it..." It was very near completion, after all; he'd be finished with the last end soon. The arachnid proto requested no drink from Luca, as did Aoi, having a thermos of grape juice in his bag.
Josev, however, made a small request. "Some water would be much appreciated, thank you."

Luca nodded in Josev's direction then slipped out of the room to grab the drinks. He hoped he wouldn't miss anything important, then again he could always question Sten about what happened later. Assuming the proto stopped looking all smitten with that scarf. The demon thought it was quite interesting for an accessory but still it was just a scarf.
Sten stared intently at Feodor trying to discern if this was a ruse. You didn't just give something like this away, and yet it did not feel any deception in the offer." I want it" somethign gleamed in the proto's eyes as they spoke.

Feodor tried to steady his breath as his nerves flared again; speaking this much was taxing on the small proto, and Sten's intent gaze wasn't helping him calm down at all. "Well...I...I just need to finish this end, and...it'll be yours..." It was bound to be an odd sight; Sten was already colorful enough and the sunny scarf-in-progress was easily long enough to wrap him from head to tail. Quite a lot of color in one place overall.

Sten grinned, pleased with this development. The proto nodded and then hovered themselves away from Feo having finally picked up on the other's unease with it's powers. Crimson eyes finally flicked in Aoi's direction though Sten made no move to get closer to the bigger essentic, content to examine them from afar.

And so the evening wound on, beverages were had, mellow conversation as well...and eventually, a scarf was finished. One very long scarf, to be precise. Little woven solar designs, warm in both colors and actual temperature, were sewn with care into the stitches, and Sten's name was even carefully stitched into the last seam. Something to keep the proto warm even in the cold, a present of friendship from a little spider usually far too shy to attempt such a social matter.
On the side of the adults, discussion was had on our tailor possibly designing new uniforms for the den, wonder how that might turn out...
All in all, a nice evening was had, but eventually the guests had to return home, with thanks for the hospitality graciously mentioned, of course.
