Though he could barely hear the conversation, Kaito felt grateful to whoever had allowed him to stay here, and before he had completely lost his consciousness, a smile weakly pulled onto his cheek. The pain had settled much more, and before falling asleep, he muttered a weak thank you.

Akiyo sat there until the boy went still and quiet but for his calm breathing. The adrenaline rush, as little as it might have been, had made him tired. He stood and left for his room. The place was dark with the curtains pulled. A furry ball slid by his leg as he headed for the bedside table. Turning on the lamp he pulled out his cigarette pack and lit one in his mouth. The whole pack was nearly done; he bought it two days ago. He was getting better.
He discarded his black jacket and pulled the orange cat onto the bed. It curled on the pillow, taking it all for himself. Akiyo let out a puff of smoke in a sigh then laid down across the bed, his legs hanging off the side. He kicked the black boots off and dragged another stream of tar and nicotine into his system. He knew this but s**t it was hard to quit.

The sun was now slowly sinking down below the horizon. The boy tossed and turned in his rest area. His eyes slowly fluttered open, weakly lifting up to reveal his golden cat-like eyes. He sat up slowly, cringing at the pain in his ribs and back. He wrapped an arm around his chest, breathing slowly to ease the pain. Looking around, he slowly sat up, wandering the house. Kaito stumbled upon a room where the door was slightly open. The boy peeked in, and saw a figure laying on the bed. Upon closer look, Kaito's face flushed red. The one lying on the bed was the one he had watched over for many years, and the one he had fallen in love with. Covering his mouth, he slowly backed away, only to hit the door, and cringe at the pain of contact. Muffling his cry of pain, Kaito tried to scurry out of the room as fast as his pained limbs allowed him to move.

Akiyo quickly sat up at the sound. The cat, Nemo sat up too and jumped down the bed and out the door. Akiyo followed, letting out a final puff of smoke. He snuffed the cigarette out on the desk and tossed it in the garbage on his way out of the room. Not far from the door, the boy continued backing away, pain clear on his face. Nemo stood in the middle of the hall as if to block him from going any further.
"Glad to see you doing better." Akiyo spoke. Aside from the white strips over the boy's chest, he was very much nude. We can't have that, he thought. "Come put something on before you get kitty scratched somewhere unfortunate." He turned and motioned for the boy to follow him back into the room.

Kaito blushed when Akiyo had already seen him crawling out. The boy tried to shake away the redness that lingered and burned on his cheeks. When Akiyo motioned for him, Kaito hung his head, only to see himself not wearing anything save the few white strips of cloth running across his chest. He slowly got up, materializing his wings so that they could cover him as he slowly made his way to Akiyo's room.

The room was as dark as he'd left it. Cigarette smoke still lingered in the air, making the atmosphere thick. Akiyo felt as if he should apologize for it, but the feeling was gone as fast it'd came. He walked to his closet, most of the clothes there were spilling out, slowly crawling onto the carpet. He looked over at the boy again, most of his clothes were probably way too big for him.
Finally he tossed him some pajama bottoms with a drawstring and a white t-shirt with a Pepsi logo., better luck finding something in the morning. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed. he asked, "What are you?"

Kaito tried to dress himself with the clothes given to him. He struggled a bit with the shirt, but he finally got it on. When he slipped into the pants, he de-materialized his wings once more. Holding his arm, he looked down, and averted eye contact with Akiyo. The baggy shirt fell above his knee, and the pants dragged on the floor, and it looked as though it was about to fall off. Kaito held onto the waistband, until he heard Akiyo's question.
"I....don't think you'll believe me even if I were to tell you, but I guess not telling you would be worse... My name is Akito, and I am an angel. Well now, I'm now a fallen Angel, banished from Heaven. Heh, ridiculous, is it not?" Kaito said.

He looked at Kaito for a long moment searching his face and eyes. Then said, "******** crazy is more like it." He stood and stripped out of his shirt, and tugged at the towel draped over the maroon swivel chair at his computer desk. "But until i find a better reason why a human boy falls out of the sky and sprouts wings, i guess i'll have to believe what you say." His eyes didn't leave the boy as he walked into the bathroom of his room. "I take quick showers."
He relished in the coldness of the water, the chill that traveled from the scalp of his head to the goosebumps that embraced the length of his pale body.

"I knew he wouldn't believe me..." Kaito muttered, walking over to the other male's bed. He slowly lowered himself onto the soft mattress, and sighed. "Eh...Humans have quite interesting things..." he muttered, looking around the room. Materializing the injured pair of wings, Kaito held them, and petted them as he thought of how this person had saved his life, though it was supposed to be the other way around.

Akiyo emerged from the bathroom, the white towel draped over his wet blue hair and red plaid pajama bottoms rode low on his hips. He rubbed the towel back and forth on his hair and decided that it wouldn't get much dryer tonight. He turned the chair around facing the room taking a seat and threw the towel on the board at the foot of the bed.
He cleared his throat. "Being our guest you get first choice of takeout." he said a smile on his face. It was the smile you give when you feel as if you've done something bizarre, like meet someone who claims to be an angel, and having no way of proving them wrong.

Kaito looked at the other male when he had re-entered the room. A small blush crept up, but Kaito shook that off immediately. He then stared at Akiyo weirdly when the young man mentioned take-outs. "Take....outs?" Kaito asked, tilting his head. Humans sure had odd words. "What is this take-outs of which you speak? Are you an assassin?" Kaito asked, backing up a bit. The only "take-out" he knew of was either banishment or assassination.

Akiyo let his head fall back in laughter. In all the craziness of the day, this was the first time he had been amused. "Take out is food. Food that the restaurant brings to you. Are you knew to this country or what?"
He stood from his chair and walked over to the bed, where the boy, Kaito, had made himself at home. He wasn't the first boy whom he had welcomed into his bed, but no, this was different. No comparison at all. His face went blank and he moved to the door. "I'm hungry," he said. "What do you want to eat?"

"Eat....I do not eat..." Kaito muttered, looking away. His face flushed from Akiyo's loud laughter, and a tiny pout crept onto his face. "B-besides, I'm not new to the country, I told you I fell from heaven, and I do not know your human customs." Kaito went on to explain. He took his wing, and spread it out, pointing to it. "Humans do not have these. This is proof that I am not human." Kaito added, furious.

"Hey!" Akiyo yelled, his fuse running low. "You came into my house, so quit your angry talk or get out." His breathing evened out after and soon his pulse did too. There really is nothing to be getting upset about, he told himself.
"To be frank," he said to Kaito. "I don't give a damn what you are, or what you're not. If you don't want to eat more for me and Akira." His voice was it's normal tone again. No anger, no feeling.
He walked out and Nemo followed, his tail waving in the air, turning orange again as the light of the hallway hit it.

A bit shocked by the sudden change in tone, Kaito jumped. It was quite a shock, especially coming from someone he was in love with. When Akiyo left, Kaito was in tears, sadness, and a bit of anger welling inside. Akiyo's comment bit him hard, and left a wrenching feeling in Kaito's heart. The angel crawled over to the window, and slid it open. Hanging onto the sill, he materialized the other two wings, and set off. It was painful to fly, but he felt like a burden, and wanted to leave. His flight was was very unstable, and as he flew, the pants fell off due to them being too loose. He wanted to fly back and get them, but he was in too much pain, and Akiyo's words still echoed through his head. He kept flying forward, the terribly large T-shirt covering his bare skin.
After awhile of flying off, the pain started setting in again, and his flight began losing altitude. Unable to continue any further, Kaito crashed into the grass of a nearby park. His wings disappeared once more, and the boy slowly got up. He wandered the empty park, finally sitting down to rest on a bench near a large tree. He looked up to the sky, sighing. "Maybe it's better if I don't tell him my feelings..." he muttered.
