The storm-colored male's tail wagged behind him in delight as Lithium volunteered to join him on the hunt. That was a great sign in his book! "I won't be boring company, promise." He chuckled, hoping that his own good mood would brighten Lithium's spirits. He padded out of the shallow water onto the grass, his ears flicking as he thought about what exactly it was that he wanted to eat. He could hear the usual forest birds, but his sense of smell was a bit lowered by being near the river. "Water doesn't hold scent, so we'll need to move a bit away from the river if we really want to catch anything." Indra of course, didn't mean to say that Lithium was going to have to help him catch prey. He just used the world 'we' to include her in the activity.
He began heading for the tree-line on the bank, keeping the river in eyesight just in case something over there should catch his interest. He hadn't seen any waterfowl lately, but if he and Lithium were lucky they might be able to spot a doe or two getting a drink.
Indra's thoughts wandered from food for a moment back to the femme at his side. She wasn't all that talkative, was she? Ah, he'd better try again if he wanted to achieve his goal of getting her to open up. "You fought in the Alpha tournament for the rank, right? Would you be happy with getting a lower ranking position, or do you really feel the need to be the best?"

Lithium chuckled very quietly as the male as he commented about not being boring company." She nodded at him in agreement. "Yeah I guess you won't be too bad." She teased slightly, tossing him a small smile before she continued to walk. She glanced over at him as he started to walk out of the water. She nodded slightly and started to wander behind him. A serious look was on her face, now that she thought about it the idea of food sounded pretty good.
She trotted behind him quickly keeping herself as quietly as she could. The male wasn't really that bad, he was pretty nice and he also seemed to be pretty funny and pretty cute. She still really didn't like the fact that he wandered up to her in the first place but she could ignore it.
She cringed at his questione dand then nodded at him. "Yeah I did." She grunted at first before looking over at him and shrugging. "It was interesting. I kind of qished I won, I'm fine with another rank but yet I did really like the idea of the rank."
