"Well, I did fall down a cliff side, so I can understand how you might have come to that notion," she said with a soft chuckle. "Perhaps we should walk and talk to catch up on lost time? Maybe we'll happen upon one of our children along the way." It was a silly notion of course, but hey, they had been fortunate in finding one another, right? Perhaps their luck might hold out long enough to locate the rest of the family as well.

The stallion stared at her for a long moment, his jaw slack once more. Something so simple. They would never find the children that way! Or was it genius? He canted his head to the side as he considered, a little whicker leaving him. It made sense. It's not like they would find them standing around. After a long moment, he relented. With a heavy sigh, he moved forward and nuzzled her. "Alright, Natsu. Let's search."

"Search we shall," she said with a smile, moving forward along-side her mate. It was peaceful today, and walking together with Brajan just made things even more enjoyable. "Why don't you tell me a bit more about our children? It can help pass the time, and I would really rather enjoy relearning about our family." After all, she didn't want her reunion with the children to be quite as awkward as things had been with the stallion. If she knew enough about each of them she could at least greet them properly.

Brajan choked back the feeling of loss and regret that accompanied thoughts of the children that had slipped away from him. He'd been utterly helpless. Pushing those bubbling feelings of bitterness away, he tried to focus. He would see them again. "Wyatt is our boy. He's brave. Grown into a good stallion. He always took care of his sisters, even if Faolan fussed or Nalani got in a little too far over her head."

"He sounds like a fine stallion," Natsuhi agreed. "Not unlike his father I don't doubt." She nipped his ear affectionately as they walked along. "What about the girls? Faolan and Nalani? What are they like?" The mare could sense that this was difficult for her mate, but it would be best for the both of them to talk about it. Having found her mate, she didn't doubt that they would be able to find their children in time.

Brajan smiled softly, his thoughts turning to far happier times. "Nalani is as brave as her brother. A little lofty, but particularly kind." His face twisted as he recalled that stallion she'd become so fond of lately. Shaking it away, he breathed a sigh. "And Faolan is a little spoiled, and a little too concerned with appearances, but she's ours none-the-less. She has her moments."

Natsuhi had to chuckle. "They sound like quite the bunch," she said with a smile. "Where did we used to live? Perhaps we might have some luck searching around there." It wasn't too unlikely to think that their children might frequent their old home in the same hope of finding them as well. Even if they didn't stay.

"I've tried, but it would never hurt to try again." Brajan uttered a soft sigh as he looked into the distance. "We have at least a half day to get there. We stayed in a clearing with our young." He paused, trying to recall. What had driven them to those wretched cliffs? A drive to see the sea? A desire to let their children wander and see it at least once, so that they would know it when they grew older? They did so many things with that in mind.

"That sounds pleasant," she said with a nod, following his lead. "I imagine we were there for a while." There was so much of her past that the mare was missing and could not remember, and she was only just now beginning to appreciate the magnitude of what she had lost. Natsuhi had an entire family that she had loved and cared for, and it was saddening to think that she could not remember any of it beyond some vague familiarity. She could always create new memories with them, certainly, but there was something to be said for such a simple pleasure as being able to remember meeting your mate and watching your children growing up.

"Mhmm, since the children were born." Brajan turned as though sensing her discomfort. "Natsu, you will remember. It will take time, but things will come back to you. You just have to trust that you will." Especially when faced with their old home, with their family, how could she not recall anything of their past? She'd remembered him, hadn't she? Even if it was just a vague recollection, it was still something. And she remembered Nalani, Wyatt and Faolan. Maybe that was all it would take. Time. He shivered a little as he recalled the crash of the waves on the rocks. Just maybe he needed a little, himself.

"Mm, I am sure," she replied with a faint smile, grateful for his condolence. It was true, she couldn't give up hope. The fact that she had even vague recollections and feelings of familiarity was a good thing, right? Perhaps she simply needed time to 'clear her head' so to speak.
Natsuhi looked back over at her mate curiously as he shivered. "What is on your mind?" she asked gently, giving his cheek a momentary affectionate nuzzle. "Remembering something unpleasant?"
