1:10?

I would think it would be like MAYBE 1:1,000 at best.

(I think) She meant 1 NPC healer per ten Gaian players.

To keep people from just wandering over to the nearest civilized place and getting a random NPC healer to fix up all their wounds after getting nearly slaughtered by someone/thing.

Okay, now I have some questions too. Or more accurately, things I'd like to know about in more detail.

First, I'd like to know more about the trade between the nations. What goods are being imported and exported from each?

Second, I'd like to know about trade within each individual nation between its regions.

Third, I'd like to have a general breakdown of manufacturing for those same regions.

Fourth, I'd like to know who is responsible for the shipping for worldwide trade. If I read everything correctly, I think Astraena is mainly responsible for shipping? If that is so, who specifically of that nation is involved? Are there numerous rival corporations competing for shipping or is there one with a monopoly?

Fifth, are there any important treaties regarding international trade? Perhaps something about international waters and what not? Anything mentioned about piracy?

And last, I want to know about transportation, especially for Higashi. I'm sure there is quite a bit of travel between the islands, so how do people usually get from place to place? And, who is responsible for this work?

Most of these questions can now be answered in the stickies. Higashi's main way of transport is by boat - they have the strongest Navy on Gaia.

As for the Trade and Astraena stuff... Crim... Where are ya?

exclaim Healer ratio has been changed. 1:80 for Magical Healers and 1:40 for total healers - Herbalists & all non-magical forms of healing included. exclaim

Is that NPC or PC for that ratio hun?

Cause it still seems a bit far from realistic.

If it's a PC ratio, we're going to have like... 1.3333 healers IN THE WORLD when we start.

If it's an NPC ratio, it means that one in every fourty people will be a healer.

Look around you the next time you're in class. One of those people will grow up to either be a doctor or a healer mage.

...look at the ratio of doctors to the rest of the working class anywhere in the world. I'd be willing to wager it's more in the thousands.

whee Thank you, Joshua. 3nodding

exclaim According to a random google search the CURRENT average of doctors to people is 1:1o,ooo. You'd think in a medieval world, whether powered by mages or not, it would be even significantly more.

Alright, first, there really isn't anything about trade in the fire country's description. And for that first question (which I realize I should've phrased differently), I meant to ask this: Which exports are going to which nations? What amounts of those goods are being traded? Are there other goods being traded in small amounts which are not mentioned in the location sticky?

Second, there is absolutely nothing about trade within any of the nations. I want to know about the movement of goods within each country in addition to the movement between countries.

Third, there is also absolutely nothing about resources/manufacturing by region either.

Fifth (I'm skipping fourth as my fourth question was not addressed yet), I didn't see anything about international treaties. Could someone please tell me where that information would be located?

And last, could someone please tell me what the other methods of transportation (within Higashi and otherwise) are, and how often they are used? I assume that there are other methods of transportation.

  • In relation to Hyphos/Darkness

Actually, Hyphos at least is listed. With Deinos the main area where their goods go to either be used by the town or sent abroad. This has to be adjusted, becasue we are adding one more town to the list, but generally speaking there is no real intertrade other than to Deinos, because that's where they can make the most money.

No manufacturing in Hyphos really, Some mining of basic ores like copper and the like that are only just beginning to be put to use. Most of which is sold and shipped to Asearna or however it's spelled for use in the air ships or whatnot.

But our natural resources are listed as ore, lumber and the like. And the closest thing you are to seeing to international treaties is to look over each countries history and see at the bottom their listed outlook on other bloodlines, which are pretty much the outlook of the countries as well.

  • Everything else to my understanding.

Pretty much there are your feet, horses, carriages, carts for those poor folk, air ships and water ships. That would be about it. Well, except the slow boat from China err... Higashi.

Dude, I'm not writing up an entire economic profile for every region of Hyouto. If you want to know something very specific, for some very specific reason, then, fine, I'll make something up for you. I am not going to detail every single trade good that passes into and out of and between places in Hyouto.

For transportation in Arrosent, you can take a little boat and tour the canals. Other than that, what Kat said.

Can I just ask why the hell you want to know all this?

Excuse my rudeness. It's been a rough day.

That's a rather simple question to answer, Bryce wants to create a bussinesman character and to do that well he needs very detailed infomation on the economic status of the different nations.

Well, in that case...

I'm still not writing up an entire economic profile for every region of Hyouto. xp He can make his own s**t up if that's the type of character he wants to play. If he somehow manages to do something that blatantly contradicts my practically nonexistent notion of how Hyouto's economy runs, then I'll either shrug it off or ask him to make a minor edit.
