Goddamn it.

The ssf4 semis must've been so much HYPE and I missed all of it.

Wong loses to an Adon after calling him a**. So much lulz.

Seriously, though, I hate Adon, too. YOU DISAPPOINT ME AGAIN, JUSTIN.

Wow, the finals were whack. IMO it got boring when the Adon player was eliminated.

Lol, Ricky Ortiz is so ******** gay.

Man, watching the finals... Daigo's adaptability and technical mastery of the game never cease to amaze me. No one can figure his opponent out so well and come back like can.

Ortiz was all pressure and bread and butter, and Daigo just whips this crazy s**t outta his a** that blows me away every time. That cross-up air hurricane kick into Super in the first round just had me like WOAH DAMN.

When he loses, he loses, but damn, when he wins, HE WINS. This guy truly earned the nickname "The Beast". I'd hate to ride his nuts, but I just love watching this guy play.

I dunno what happened towards the end. The goddamn stream froze and I had to keep refreshing until it worked, which was when the whole thing got done and they were giving out the awards and s**t.

Like, Daigo puts Ricky in the losers, Ricky comes back and Daigo still gave him the same whooping. It's like ''I'll let you win a few rounds then I'll kick you a**."

I think the "moment" came after Ricky stood up and cheered. That's when Daigo really laid into him, for having the unmitigated gall to stand above his sitting height.

Vangief and Chrisbee were exciting to watch, too. I was surprised that I was that into it.

It's too bad I missed the Melty Blood play for work.

I don't know what was so hype about that Adon player. He mostly just punished people who don't know how to block. Herp a derp. A good Adon can option select on wake up? No way!

My favorite part was when E.Honda got kneed like 4 times in a row in semi finals. Infiltration was also boss; his Akuma was hype as s**t.

My other favorite part was when Mr.Wizard 'accidentally' cut out the stream during the SSFIV grand finals. I'm actually glad Ricky lost. Gloating before the match was even over made him an asshat.

MvC2 was the same s**t it always is. Except the matches with Clockwork with his Strider and Doctor Doom rushdowns. That was boss.

They somehow managed to hype up TvC. Every match but the first was pretty interesting to watch. I didn't bother watching Tekken because I was busy donating money to the Lord Knight fund in Random Character money matches. emo

Melty finals were pretty okay. The pool 1 games and the team matches were more hype IMO. Kusanagi is my new hero, though Garu (the japanese player that made it out of pools) took the championship. People give LK s**t for getting 6-0ed in grand finals, but people don't realize that he was matching Garu all night, which gave him that much time to figure LK out.

I only got to play a few games of MvC3; the lines were pretty ******** long and I wanted to get more Melty matches in. I did watch to figure out everything I could. Here are my general observations:

-It plays almost exactly like TvC, except it has an extra attack button. 'Exchange' is your generic launcher.
-Exchange is counter-able, turning half your combos into a retarded guessing game.
-Most normals put you at a disadvantage, but specials are almost completely safe. Even rushing specials are unpunishable on block. It's weird as s**t.
-The Hulk now has no super armor and is pretty much garbage.
-Dante is ******** retarded OP. It's hard to imagine him not being really good with his moveset, but he's also really easy to play.

Keep in mind, this is the Alpha Version with like... 5 characters. There's bound to be a lot of changes. It was fun, but they mine as well have called it a sequel to TvC at this point.

Anyways, I had a blast. I learned a lot, got to play with most of the people in the melty community, and learned that I wasn't completely free. Garu kept coaching me in broken English during the middle of matches. It was pretty funny.

Clockwork is boss with that Strider/Doom team. Everyone else with the same teams... not so interesting.

I tried watching Tekken but I got kind of bored fast. For some reason I've seen better and far more entertaining T6 matches on youtube (from the japs).

That's the first thing I said when I first read about MvC3. The was pretty much a slightly faster than TvC (though idk, it was looking faster at EVO's exhibition) with Marvel characters in it. Then there's that launcher button, as if the TvC controls weren't GG/BlazBlu ish enough. It's looking kind of weird but it still looks fun. At least The Hulk can kill you in, like, 3 combos.

04 Spriggan & Moonblade
Ortiz's douchebaggery.

Word. Daigo. kept his cool, but we all know he wasnt gonna stand for that s**t. When you start being impolite to jap players, they'll take you to SCHOOL. Like that time Kuroda beat Ortiz AND Wong with Q. I think all parties were kinda being dicks in that case, though...

Yeah, I think that Adon mostly got by on no one expecting anyone to actually pick Adon and not really knowing his options. lol

Ditto on Akuma. I never really thought he was THAT good, and Im impressed as hell someone took him that far.

Props to Clockwork for his performance with a sub-optimal team, too. I mean, Strider/Doom is a fantastic combo, but it's rare to see someone not try to ride it out on the usual top-tier guys. Doom was always one of my favorite characters in that game.

It's rad you actually got to try Marvel 3. I am kinda disappointed to hear some of those things about it's current build, though. I was hoping for something closer to the previous one's controls/mechanics. Im sure they'll fix Hulk eventually, assuming Super Armor even still exists at all. I hadn't seen ANYTHING on him until Evo, so he's probably just pretty underdeveloped, where as Dante is probably pretty close to complete from what I saw. Oh well, it's pretty much guaranteed Ill be buying it no matter what at this point, anyway, just to play it for a little while even if it turns out to be complete a**.

All I know is: If you like TvC, you should like MvC3.

Now can you DIG IT?

You guys should check out the level 3 hypers on youtube. Deadpool's was pretty crazy.

Also, I thought the Adon player was pretty impressive since he was punishing a lot of s**t and landing most of his combos, which isn't exactly easy with Adon.

But I agree with Moonblade. Ppl weren't blocking right against this guy.
