biggrin own the beach the sounds of a seagull can be heard as it's torn apart by a great predator. Long Tusk is down the beach. On warm nights like these, the only true reason to have the fire is to keep him away as he has a fear for it. You discovered this after running him off several times in your early days on the island. A particular marking, color, or scar marks him as he as he is the only one of these creatures you've ever seen.

Nalani heard the sound of waves breaking against the shore, and then, the sound of crunching bones. It was a sound that she was all too familiar with.
Longtusk.
He was an intimidating creature, and Nalani had been deathly afraid of him when she first got to the island. She kept her fires stoked as he was afraid of the light and the heat. They hadn't had the most pleasant of meetings, that was for sure. She had had to wave a fiery torch at him to make him go away, in fear that he might eat her. After all, she was just a little girl, and she was sure he looked at her as if she was his next meal.
But now, 15 years later, they lived in relative peace. She didn't invade on his territory, and he didn't come near hers. Nalani had even been able to get closer to him without fear of death, which she thought was a step in the right direction. One day, she thought, she might be able to train him...

Evening comes and goes. The light of the sun and the smoldering wood in the pit, are the first things to be noticed when you awake.

((I assume by this time that I've got some sort of skill with catching things, so I really wouldn't call it foraging...More like hunting. And picking the fruit I've grown in the past 15 years...hahaha. I'll still roll for it though. I'll roll 4d20, the first two for Survival, the second two for Spot)) Nalani woke up with the sun, as she did every morning, and rolled out of her hammock, feet sinking into the loose sand. Plodding out to the waterline, she splashed her face with water, and headed back to her camp to find breakfast.
After stretching a bit, warming her muscles, she was ready to trek into the forest to find food.EDIT: Survival +6= non-nat 20 total (I can survive! And find food!) Spot +7= 26 total (And I definitely see that...whatever animal it is!)

You find the fruit grove, and spot some prime ripe fruit. After that, as your finishing up, you notice some tracks in the soft dirt. The seem to be hoofish, but I won't tell you until you roll a nature knowledge (specific) or survival (general).

After finding a good deal of fresh fruit, Nalani looked down the familiar path that she'd worn down through the forest. And the tracks...they looked somewhat familar. So, she stooped down to take a closer look...Survival +6 EDIT: Tracks? What are those? DUH!

Though Nalani had identified many tracks in her days on the island, this one was definitely not as easy to discern...But instead of being cautious about it, she decided that she'd follow the animal, just to see what the creature was.
Biting into a papaya, she relished in the refreshing fruit and carefully followed the tracks further into the forest.*rolls Survival to track the creature* Survival +6 EDIT: 13 total...

As Nalani moves through the growth fairly quietly, she catches a glimpse of a young, wild pig. She knows how the meat on it will last her and she also knows how rare it is for her to come across a wild big this one being roughly the 17th she's seen in her 15 years on the island. A young one to, imagine the implications.

As your hunting boar, a slight wind can be felt as a slight rumble in the distance can be heard. You are familiar with this storm as you've seen it from your shore many times and thought that a storm was coming initially, but experience allows you to know that it never does come to your island, it guards something else. Your hunting a boar to, whatcha goin to do?
