I agree that Suikoden II is the best game. The graphics are much clearer and more beautiful than the first one. I really loved the major battles in it. It felt like you were actually playing with mini war pieces on a huge map and plotting out your strategy.
The third game is didn't like to much, but the art was beautiful. The battle system was annoying and it felt like the storyline was slow and a bit confusing. The skill system was a nice touch and I kind of enjoyed the Trinity system where you could view the story throuh the eyes of several different people.
The fourth game was enjoyable, but short-lived. I wished they got more in-depth about the characters and such. The graphics are nice, but I think they seem to be inferior to the third and second game.
