HP 2 As her paw connected with his face he felt blood dribble down from the now open wounds as he turned to her with a venomous glare. How these fights could make you look at a wolf differently.
As she circled he went in the opposite direction, again she talked, "Believing in your own strength is all and well, but a leader must also think of the strength of his pack. Even the weaknesses. To learn to cope with those weaknesses or overcome them. I'm not hiding from my destiny Roquie, I'm living in."
He could feel his heart racing within his chest, beating to the sound of a drum. He could hear the eerie rhythm work with the sound of the thundering water, the sounds of the pebbles falling against the earth, and how the wolves paws stirred the rubble around them. He was not giving up, not yet, there was still so much he could do!
With a bestial snarl he slashed at her face as she did, but with both claws.

HP 8
Rouqie's world shuddered as he cracked her upside the head from both sides. A slight whine escaped her as she staggered back slightly, her forearm blazing in pain suddenly.
Her clouded eyes settled on her opponent, serene. "A pack is only as strong as its weakest link. But the alpha's job is to help that link so the group may excel. Therefore the alpha must give strength to others, not challenge or punish those members for their lack of social graces.
She was refering to Rebel hoping to get him to understand her perspective so she wouldn't need to use any more force. He was a ghastly sight, blood smattered and panting shallow.
She imagined she looked about the same. He would not understand, thought Rouqie, wincing again at her flank as she gingerly got to her feet, vision becoming crisp and steady again.
His black form stood in stark contrast to his surroundings. The air was heavy with the scent of wolf blood and sweat. Blood was flowing in her mouth and she swallowed back a bitter, rusty tasting mouthful.
Feeling the loose granite beneath her paws she gripped hard, tensing her every muscle, channeling all her heightened emotions into a savage howl.
She struck...

HP 2 The weakest link in the pack at the moment, he remember his fight with Rebel and shut his eyes, reflecting. He knew he had been harsh as he opened his eyes, too harsh. However he didn't know social graces either. The wildness had turned him almost as dark as his fur. And with that thought he began to think of the Darkness. Could he turn into something as evil as that? He shook his head.
Addressing his pack mate he gave a slight smile, taking in her words, "Then I would grant strength to them. Learn to work around their differences. To learn about them. And if I had to, lay my life down for them so they could be as best a leader they could. To learn also." He replied.
Breathing deeply as he circled her, he was panting heavily but he would strike again, the irony taste of his blood getting on his tongue. His muscles rippled as he pulled them together and tensed, launching himself at her headfirst. He was going to knock her down with his head and rip at her with his fangs or claws.

HP 8
Finally he made his move! Rouqie barred his way by charging straight under him, maneuvering expertly under his gaping, blood-stained jowls, as if they were a bramble which she must avoid while tracking her kill.
With a momentous effort, she pushed off with her hind legs into his belly...

HP 2 He pushed back at her and snapped at her hind legs, jumping away from her. He could feel the earth beneath him slip and he lost his balance for a moment before righting. He growled at her and again circled.
"You are a good fighter." He barked at Roquie, happy that she had grown from the young pup into this beautiful femme before him, "But only one of us can be the victor here."
Racing up the slope he saw the slight jut of rock and went to it before launching himself at her using his full body weight and opening his jaws as wide as he could.

HP 3 "You're right!" She snarled and rose up on her hind legs to fend off his blow. The force of him took the wind out of her lungs but she held fast, refusing, with her last ounce of strength, to give in!
Once more she used her memories of her old pack, as well as her new one, to lend her jaws strength as she pushed him back.

HP 2 Of course he was right. He was growing weary and as blood began to blur his already losing vision it was making it harder to fight. It was taking all his will to keep going. As his pelt bristled again and his muscled tensed he dodged her attack, it was pretty close and he almost didn't make it, but somehow...
He wasn't going to believe this was the end, no it couldn't be. So he again when for the femme. He went to snap at her tail, if he could drag her back and down he could grip the soft flesh behind her neck.

Rouqie's limbs went limp as he grasped her behind the neck, lifting her paws off the ground. Her mind willed her to fight, but her limbs were past the point of exhaustion.
As he released her, she fell to the ground in a pile.
After a long moment she laughed sharply, betraying the agonizing pain shooting through her body.
"I maybe not be as strong as you. But I know these wolves, I've been with them since the beginning." She looked around, some of the other wolves had come to watch their bout. She noticed Icarus among them, and felt a surge of shame at showing weakness in his presence. He locked eyes with Taki, Departed, Faiyrn and Ceres, all of whom she had know from the beginning.
She struggled to her feet, joints wobbling, a pool of blood forming about her. "I cannot hope to win this fight But physical strength is not all that makes an alpha."

HP 2 He laid down next to her, licking the wounds she had on her body. He had won, but at what cost? He could see the others, others who could potentially become his underlings. He barely knew them, Roquie was right.
"I do no know them, but I will get to know them. Because even if I am not destined to be alpha, they are still my pack. Still my brothers and sisters. Help me learn about them sister." He hoped she wouldn't be mad at him, they had been fighting for a title. "Help me learn what it is to be a good leader."
