"And you shall" He promised the small white pup and certainly the boys would come home soon enough as he drew closer he was fairly certain he scented some of Merrill's brood, scents left over from earlier in the day - and it was pretty certain thats where the boys had gone, off to play with the other pups.
Turning his attention to and following Terreis as she led the pup towards the shade he answered her "Well I couldn't leave her alone in the woods- though I know 6 puppies might be troublesome for you" Not he reflected that she seemed to mind all that much, she'd already shown more affection for this white girl then she had to their sons. "Mind...her family might come looking for her" He cautioned before she allowed herself to get to attached "They could have been separated by some accident, though I saw no sign of them in the area."

Guinevere was more than willing to go into the shade, and seemed quite happy to have Terreis already showing an interest in her. "I want to stay." She told the female and then looked at Derecho. "Can I?" Now that she was in the shade she felt better, her skin no longer burned under the rays of the sun and she could open her eyes up fully. She looked between the two adults, her new family so to speak. Pink tongue lolled out of her mouth as a smile crossed her maw. She liked it here, even if it was quite bright.
Terreis shot Derecho an annoyed look. "It will be no trouble at all." What was one more pup to look after when the pack was already swimming in them. Besides she couldn't let this beautiful girl go, no this would be her daughter come hell or high water. "I know that, but for now I will take care of her as my own."
Lowering herself down to Guinevere's level she looked at the pup with a smile. "I'm Terreis by the way. And I will take care of you, for you long as you are here." It would sadden her greatly if the parents did show up one day, but so went life. And even though a part of Terreis was thinking, almost hoping that something had happened to the pups family, she would be content with whatever time she could have with her.

Derecho looked between the pup and Terreis, he honestly didn't have it in him to turn away a helpless puppy regardless of the obsession he could already see blooming in his mate's eyes. He wasn't sure if this would end up being a good thing or a bad thing - but you made do with what life gave you and he would try to do the best by all of his family - including this new adopted daughter of his.
"Very well" He told the two of them a soft smile for them both before he looked over his shoulder "I had best go and tell Mother...and check on the boys" He told them, giving them both one last look before trotting off.
