"He could, yes, I just hope that he wouldn't without our blessing at the very least." He thumped his tail against the ground at this thought, wondering if the boy would actually be so bold as to just abandon them for the sake of some heiress he didn't even know. "And no, she'd never let me forget it if she thought I was trying to hide something from her."
He had been just about to stand, convinced that the next step would be to continue on his way to his mother's den with Ally in tow, when she changed his mind.
"Uh.." he stuttered slightly, his thoughts completely halted. He'd never thought anyone would want his help with anything just because of who he was and the things he'd done. He'd actually been quite a big screw up - it was mostly other people that had helped him. "I mean, I guess I could if you think it would really help him. I'm not sure I have as much faith in myself as you do, but sometimes you're the only one that matters." He smiled at this very slightly, but it was obvious that he meant his words - Ally saw things in him that he never did.

"I don't think he would, he did seem to feel bad that he hadn't found me directly," she thought back to the faces the poor boy had been making while she spoke to him, "You have a big family but I think they all know what family means."
Ally almost laughed when he stuttered and immediately doubted himself.
"I'll always be right here reminding you how silly you are for doubting yourself, you're a very good king," she said brightly, "You've been through what he might be getting into, I can't think of anybody better to help him understand. It helps that you and I were in love to start but we don't know that they won't get along. She's coming here, he'll get a chance to meet her before he leaves."

"You're right," he said softly, thinking about the rest of his family. His mother liked to keep track of them all and as the king, he supposed it was mostly his job, but he liked to think that they were as close as a giant family could be.
"Here's hoping that whatever personality he's supposed to handle isn't something outrageous," he said softly, his tail twitching behind him as he tried not to imagine the worst possible female possible for his nephew.
With a small sigh he pushed himself up to his feet and glanced off in the direction of his sister's den. He had been planning to go and talk to his mother first but he supposed that would just have to wait - there were more important things to do right now. "I'll go and talk to Alizeti about this, then. I'm not sure if I can be much help to him but I'll do my best." He offered his mate his best, reassuring smile, and leaned down to give her cheek a lick. "I'll see you later at the den, okay?"
He offered her one last smile before he turned and began to walk in the direction he hoped to find his nephew.

"Well, we'll see soon enough," she said, hoping that the pair of familiars hadn't been lying. They hadn't exactly described a sweet personality but they could still have been sugar-coating it. It would be up to them to figure it out when she got here. Luckily, Alizeti would have them and at the least his grandmother to help him.
"Give yourself a little credit," she said, nudging at his muzzle with her nose when he licked her, "I'll see you later!" She watched him go, hesitating a moment to decide it would be best to talk to Malkia after Fafnir was back, she headed off to have a little chat with Baba'nyota about how the strange little pair got by the border so easily.
