Emiri Neko Back to the original question. sweatdrop
I don't see why it matters if Die doesn't like EGL. confused
But I don't like what BBC said about 'lolita not being for everyone' That was kind of rude. mad I mean the girl can dress up if she wants too. Yeah bit it's just opinion and steriotyping. Everybody does it. As for Die not liking EGL. Well everyones different. Meh..

I don't find the interviewers at all in the wrong. All they did was point out the fallacies in Dir en grey's statements as opposed to their actions.

I guess to the British/American anyone who wears black make-up, spits up blood, and writes songs with gorey lyrics is considered goth. neutral
But in Japan, they're just considered Visual bands if they wear make-up. So I guess to the American eye if they see a band with black make-up they assume. "Oh another goth band."
Bit of a stereo-type really...

Bit of a stereo-type really... I don't think that's really a stereotype. By American definition they pretty much are a goth band.

You know, I personally don't care if Die-san likes the lolita style. It doesn't matter to me. Yeah, this guy -points to himself- is gothic lolita/dandy, but I'm never going to end up a friend to Die. Hell, I probably won't even get to meet him. So, why should I care if he likes the way I dress?

I hate that interview..
It really bothered me when he said "Oh they're so NOT goth, with their blah blah..." ..That's sortof uncalled for..in my opinion
Also, there was an interview with Die and Kaoru in Germany, and they were being interviewed by a British woman..I thought she was bein a bit rude asking them kindof weird questions and shoving the mic in theri faces. sweatdrop
I have nothing against the British, she just happened to be one.

I'm not quite sure if they are the same or not but Die actually says that he doesn't like the gothic lolita style...It doesn't just target gothic attire..

Achansnoose I'm not quite sure if they are the same or not but Die actually says that he doesn't like the gothic lolita style...It doesn't just target gothic attire.. But, it does. See, the Japanese style of gothic lolita/aristocrat is very different from American goth. If an American goth just dresses the part, they are a poser.
The lolita style, however, is just a fashion thing. That is all there is to it; to wear pretty things. That's it.
