Fell. From space. No...ship. "That's...that's incredible. Surviving the atmosphere in one peace and all... Amazing!" Wikus would have been horrified if it wasn't surprising that Inibi was an alien, from her floating among other things he had witnessed. At least she didn't look too different. "I find aliens no matter how hard I try not to, eh?" This was meant as a joke, from the way he was smiling. "But you are an intellegent one, and speak our language. That is more than most prawns I've seen." He barely noticed her shying away, but he did enough to add "Is something wrong?"

She looked back over, markings slightly pink from embarrassment and her eyes avoiding his. "I just...don't like talking about myself too much. I have this constant nagging that I was mean in the past....and probably selfish too, and I don't want that" she admitted with a paw rubbing one arm nervously. Her markings were almost a brilliant pink at that point in time. Especially after those flattering things he talked of with intelligence and such

He blinked at the shade-changing marked black fox with a "Hm." Wikus continued slowly with "Well, I don't believe you would have been like that if you are like you are now. And, obviously, you aren't a normal Earth-based fox. I, on the other hand, have been both those things." he shrugged to hide a shudder at himself.

She looked up, seemingly perplexed. "You've done bad stuff?" She asked. She wasn't going to hold it against him if he did, but she couldn't help but feel curious.
"You've changed though right? You didn't get hit on the head and forget what you done right?" she questioned, getting up on her four paws, wobbling a bit due to the soft material of the couch

"I know I've done some right things, for Tania, at least. But others... I used to think what I did was right, but now, suddenly, I am realizing that what I thought was right and necessary and protocol made me a monster. So maybe I'm not turning into one." Wikus's smile was a little sad. "Well, maybe I am turning into one on the outside, but on the inside... Everything is messed up. MNU made me kill a prawn with its own weapon...but maybe I killed a few already happily." He didn't know why he was telling this to a near-stranger; maybe he just needed to say something to someone.

She nodded and listened rather intently, only understanding what she could considering her mind was easily drawn to the word 'prawn'
"Well. At least you are changing now right? I mean..you could not be changing at all and still be that person whom you now fear." she was hoping her words were at least partially convincing

"I am." Wikus replied, "But...I want to go back to the way things were. The way I was. The way this was." he added, looking at his changed hand. "It's the only way anyone will take me back." He didn't want to be a prawn, he did not want to be a monster, but he would have to be one or the other if a cure was found or he left this place. "That sounded horrible, didn't it? It's so fokken confusing."

Her head tilted in confusion. "You....want to be mean again??" she said with a surprised and confused tone. If he did bad things before, why would he want to go back to that? The arm she could understand, but that was about it.
"Why would you assume no one would take you here?" she asked trying to figure out what he means by that phrase

"What? Oh, no, I meant where I come from. The people I knew accepting me again. Being like that is the only way I knew how to be...the only way many of us knew to be." Wikus didn't know how confusing he was becoming.

"Oh" she said in an understanding but sad tone. "What's wrong with being here? There are...lots of others who would accept you....it would just take...some time" she nodded with a frown returning on her muzzle. She didn't want to see him go already, or at least not be so hasty about leaving. There was a lot here he could learn to enjoy

"I...I don't know. It isn't easy, you know... People always notice the arm. I have already been called an 'Elite' or whatever and had a gun pointed at me. It is always so awkward and the ones in armor worry me. What if MNU finds me here?" Wikus sighed. "But I have to stay here either way. Or that house. My hand and arm are already fokked up. It would be impossible to watch myself further become one of those creatures." he looked at the frowning Inibi. "Do you like it here?"

"Oh" she said as he listened to everything he had to say. At this point she was getting weary of sitting, so she jumped down from the couch and paced a little "Sorry, but I don't like to sit down for very long" she explained quickly. Plus pacing helped her think
"Well it was probably all bad luck that you met those guys. I know Elites look...well nothing like you, but I can see where others could be confused. And Spartans are interesting in their own sense. But they can be dangerous. "She only explained everything she knew to help him fell better. She hoped it would work.
"I don't mind it here. Not much to do." she shrugged as she sat down on the floor not far from him, tail twitching ever so lightly

"It seems like just about everything has been bad luck for me these days." Wikus's eyes followed Inibi to her new spot. "Well," he added, "except for a few things." he ended the sentence with a shrug, then jumped down himself. "You say that there isn't a lot to do, but then you can float, so that can only leave me a sorry bliksem, eh?" Wikus's attempt at a smile meant this to be a joke or at least light-hearted.

She looked at him and tilted her head. "Blik-sem?" she had to ask. His language and accent was very unusual to her. She at least had a clue what "Fok" was..but there were times when she had to catch what he said carefully.
"Just because I can float doesn't mean there's anything to do." she said with an odd look on her face. It was half between a concerned look and a confused one, but the emotions where more directed to her likes and dislikes that she didn't want to share too much

"Bliksem. It is Afrikaans." Then he realized that Inibi didn't know what it meant; no one here seemed to be an Afrikaaner. "It means 'b*****d'."
Wikus's smiled faded a bit when she completely misunderstood what he said. Bad move there. "Em...I didn't mean that. But you are more capable of doing incredible things and stuff, yeah? It...it was supposed to be funny. Sorry. It was stupid of me to say." Now it was his turn to look a little embarrassed. "Ehm...is there anymore cat food? Actually, no, is there any real food?" The 'half-breed' was obviously annoyed by his new habit.
