Shiro didn't know exactly know how he had gotten himself into this. A quite simple boy really. And yet, here he was, in charge of an odd glass jar. He couldn't remember exactly how everything had happened, all he knew was he was now in charge of this jar, had to put something inside it, and then become the guardian of whatever it was that came out! It was all a bit overwhelming if you sit down and think about it!
So here he was, sitting across from a lifeless jar, and glaring at it. Choices weren't of his strong point, unfortunately, but he was determined to make a good choice. He sighed, and sat back into his sofa and stared at some of his books that he had yet to read. He then started to think of stories, and books. Stories were nice things to think about. He then thought about the ever popular, thimble, from the story of Peter Pan. A kiss they called it. A rather nice image, such a simple thing as a thimble can be in some way connected with such a thing as a kiss. It then occured to him, that a thimble could easily fit into this jar! He jumped to his feet and ran to the closet, making sure to not slip over the random things that were carelessly tossed across the floor.
He rummaged through the closet, until finally finding, to his delight, a small sewing box. Pulling it open, he rummaged through the needle ball thingy, thread, and other such odds and ends, until finally coming across a shiney silver thimble. He picked it up, and examined it, wondering whether this was really what he wanted to put in, afterall...there were many other things he had open to him as well. Why, just in this box alone, there was thread, needles, buttons, and those small scissors used to cut thread. Was a thimble what he really wanted to place in this jar?
As he thought this over with himself and stared into the contents of the box, he realized there really wasn't as much meaning in the other items, as this thimble did. After all, it protects people...or at least the people that sew, and also hs been used in a famous book, and movie, as a symbol of love and affection. The thimble definitely meant more, at least symbolically, then the other odds and ends. He closed the box, and went back to the sofa, and the jar.
He carefully dropped the thimble inside, trying not to drop it too hard, afterall this was a glass jar! He stared at the tiny silver thing, inside the glass container and gave a small smile. This seemed like a rather good choice. He lay back in his sofa, once more, and this time pulled his sketch book over to him from the table at the side of the sofa, and started to sketch...

Shiro had just started to sketch, when he felt something change and looked up from his sketchbook. He suddenly saw a dark mass appearing and moving about in the jar. Shiro's gray eyes stared at the thing in wide eyed facination.
When nothing more happened he leaned up to he edge of the sofa, and sat close to the jar. With one hand he pulled the jar a little closer to himself, and with the other, he gingerly reached into the jar, to see what this thing would feel like!
As soon as Shiro reached the glowing mass, though, he drew back his hand with a loud "ack!". He stared at the mass in surprise. The thing had felt like a whole bunch of needles...or something sharp like that. He scooted back onto the sofa, and watched the jar and then gave a small shrug. He jumped up to his feet and decided to go and get himself something to eat. He looked between the jar, on the table, to the fluroishing poinsettia at the window, and decided not to move them just yet.
With a small yawn Shiro walked off into the kitchen.

Shiro yawned, and pulled out his french horn from its case. Next week finals would start, and he'd have to start practicing. He sat on the couch, and looked up at the little gray glowing jar on the table in front of him. He smiled at it, although only patted the outside glass.
"Hello. Hope you won't mind my terrible music." He grinned. "I'll try playing something good for you, yeah?" He chuckled, as he placed his music beside the little jar. He started to warm up, and tried to play a few things.
After a few minutes he got a bit tired of scales and stuff, and leaned on his french horn as he stared at the container. He tilted his head to the side a bit as he watched it. It was such an odd thing...this little jar, with some glowing thing inside that would one day be a living physical being. It was a very odd thing, if you think about it a lot.
Shiro got up and stretched. He walked over to the window and patted the red, flourishing poinsettia that was sitting at the cill, gathering sun. He stared out at the nice day.
"I wish it'd rain again..." He sighed. Shiro loved the rain and was a bit disappointed it had all gone northward. He turned his back to the window and leaned against the cill, as he turned his eyes back to the little glowing container.
"Well, whatever you end up growing up into...hope whatever you are you'll be pretty good." He sighed as he went back to his french horn on the couch, knowing he'd have to start practicing again.

Shiro had long since abandoned his french horn, which was now safely back in his case. As much as he loved his french horn and loved to play...it was just no fun to practice scales and stuff. But he couldn't play songs until his solo book came in the mail later in the week.
He was now back on the couch, where he seemed to be spending a lot of time on lately, eating a grilled cheese sandwitch. He watched the little container as he ate, somehow intruiged by the odd glow within it. He shook it off and then turned to glare at the book which sat next to it...A Tale of Two Cities. He sighed and continued to chew on his sandwitch thoughtfully.
After his sandwitch was gone he leaned back into the couch, and then lazily fell sideways to lay completely on it. His eyes wandered back to the gray glowing mass.
"Well...I'm only home to watch you for a week...then you'll have to settle with having quiet little Maturin for company. Heh...well...whatever. I'll still come around everyday." He sighed as he stared up at the ceiling. "Man...I'm such a procrastinator." He sighed, and finally rolled off the couch...literally, and picked up the jar as he started for another room. "I'm gonna start writing a report and you'll keep me company." He announced as he took the bottle, making sure to NOT touch the sharp substance inside, and walked to the office.
He turned on the computer, and placed the jar beside him. Shiro soon got distracted, as his interest in writing reports faded and he turned to the jar.
"Wanna listen to Simon and Garfunkel?" He asked it. Of course it didn't reply, as it was still some smokey colored glowing...thing. "Well, either way, I wanna listen to it, and since you can't really protest...you'll listen too..." He grinned as he put the CD into the computer. Suddenly he stopped and laughed. "Wait! I know exactly what to have you listen to! It's a really, really, annoying song! And weird!" He typed a few things into google, and clicked a link and grinned as he turned the volume up for both to listen. Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring Banana phone Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring Banana phone
I've got this feeling so appealing for us to get together and sing - SING!

Bo ba do ba do do doob
As the song faded away Shiro laughed and turned brightly to the glass jar.
"Well...if you're concious enough to hear that song...you'd probably agree with me that that's one annoying and weird song." He grinned broadly, as he finally closed that window and played his Simon and Garfunkel cd instead, as he half typed his report and half did other things to distract himself, throwing the occasional comment to his little jar, not really caring whether it had the capability of listening to him or not, or whether or not if it was listening to him or not. He didn't really care. It was just rather fun to talk to something, especially one that couldn't really talk back...yet.

Shiro had always been apprehensive when it came to static electricity. When he was at the mall, he dared not to touch the railings...for fear of that trademark shock he'd feel almost every time he touched it...he never felt like he was dragging his feet, but every time there was carpet involved...at one time or another he always seemed to attract electricity.
Shiro had gotten a new rug. It was a rather large rug, and was set in the living room. He'd never had a rug before. All he could really determine at the moment was that they were nice and kept his feet warm, even when wearing socks.
Shiro just so happened to had been cooking some spam in the kitchen and was walking back into the living room to eat at his couch. He had gotten used to he rug, at this point, and was no longer giving any real concious effort to lift his legs off the couch. He just walked casually, as he'd usually do to his couch, and plopped down. He placed the plate down on the table, and the plate clinked against the jar, which held the grayish wispy thing. Shiro quickly reached out to grab the jar, to make sure it wouldn't fall over.
Now...glass jars aren't supposed to conduct electricity. Far from it. Now...an odd thing happened when Shiro reached forward to steady the jar. He was shocked! By the jar! Shiro gasped and yelped as he forcebly pulled his hand away from the jar, causing the jar to wriggle about dangerously before settling back upon its base. Shiro, on the other hand had fallen back and was now completely laying upon the couch, staring, wide eyed, at the jar.
"What the?!" He exclaimed. "Jars aren't supposed to do that! Last time I electrocuted myself that bad...was on the computer hardrive last year!" He pushed himself up to sit upright again, as he stared at the jar. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that...whatever you are in there, was once a thimble..." He poked the glass, cautiously once more. "OW!" He eyed the jar. "Well...whatever you are...sorry for all the shocks. I know that when one person gets shocked, the other does too..." He sighed and drew his legs up under him, so they no longer touched the rather large, carpet like rug anymore. "Now lets try." He reached forward to touch the jar again. "OW! GAH! Man...either I have a lot of static electricity hanging around me...or you do." He joked, then sighed sighed. "Man...this is kinda weird...oh well...I'll leave you with that." He reached forward and grabbed his plate of spam and started to eat it, occasionally eyeing the jar, suspiciously.
Perhaps he'd have to move this rug to another room...

Shiro peered out from under his blanket, from his "bed"...which was the couch...and stared at the clock on the opposite side of the room. Shiro was a terrible waking up person. Mornings weren't bad, waking up was the problem. He pushed the blanket away and literally rolled off the couch onto the ground. The rug had yet to be moved...'cause he was a bit too lazy.
Weary eyes fell upon the glass jar, which held the glowing gray mass. Somehow, the static electricity, from when he had first touched it, and to...now...had risen and there was still electricity surrounding the small metalic mass. It must have had something to do with...whatever it was in there...laying on this rug probably wasn't helping himself that much either.
Shiro pushed himself up and sat there, in a daze, glancing about. It was pretty late....10 am. A yawn escpaed him, and he stared up at the ceiling. What was he going to do with this little gray thing? He felt a little guilty about the whole static electricity thing. Afterall, it was him who originally put the rug out, and him who probably started the friction needed to start the electricity.
An idea suddenly popped into his head. It wasn't one to cure the electric charge surrounding his little glowing mass...it was an idea to have fun with it! He moved a few of his books to the base of the container for support, making sure as to not touch the actual container. He then walked into the other room. After several minutes he returned with five fully blown up balloons.
"Thank goodness for band lungs!" He laughed. "Now...lets see how strong this electric charge really is!" He knelt beside the small coffee table, which sat in front of his couch and placed the balloons next to him, except one. He held the balloon close to the container and...there! It stuck! "Wow...that's a lot of electric charge." He grinned. Shiro grinned. "You look rediculous!" He laughed. "Maturin come in here!" He called the paintling into the room. "Come and help me put balloons all over your future sibling." He grinned. Maturin picked up a balloon awkwardly, and then pushed it onto the glass. It stayed. He laughed and Shiro joined in as together they covered the glass. "HA! Well...this electric charge seems to have its up sides, now doesn't it?" He patted the balloons as he got up. "I'll just leave you with these for now." He then walked away to take a shower...

Before Shiro had even managed to turn on the water for his shower when he suddenly heard the crash. Fearing either Maturin had pushed it, the balloons did...something...or...in some way the glass container had fallen over and damaged the little glowing gray mass he quickly dashed out of the bathroom and into the living room.
Maturin was now hiding behind the couch. At the base of the coffee table, there sat a little child. Steal gray of skin, jet black hair, and bright yellow eyes stared up at him playfully, as he chewed upon something small and black...he assumed that was what was once his thimble. On the table itself, there was a few glass shards, and torn pieces of balloon. Shiro's gray eyes were wide from the shock of it all before he laughed and gave an awkward smile.
"Well now! You've finally come out to greet me have you?" He asked, grinning. "Well...I should try and clean up some of this glass..." He mumbled, as he pulled out a hankerchief and started to collect the glass bit by bit, starting with the floor and then moving on to the ones on the table. As he picked up the glass he examined the boy.
"Well...well, well. What am I gonna call you? Matty, it's okay, he's your new brother." He called to the cowering boy behind the couch. The black haired boy's eyes flew to the other and he gave a grin and a wave. Maturin returned a shy one. Shiro smiled and returned to look at the new boy. "Hmn...what name would fit you..."
The boy pulled himself up, so he sat upright, and didn't lean upon the table as much, pointed his fingure like a gun towards Maturin, pulled out the thimble for a moment before yelling: "ZAP!" And then collapsing into a fit og giggles. "Zap, zap, zap!" He continued to shout in between of giggles. There's just something about giggles that's so contagious! Soon enough Shiro was giggling, and then Maturin gave off a soft giggle.
"Zap, huh?" Shiro finally commented after recovering from his giggle. "Hmn...Zap...Zaph...Jack...Zack?" He looked down at the boy. "Would you like the name, Zack?" He asked.
"Zaph! Zack!" The boy laughed, swinging himself back to a sitting position once more. Shiro grinned and ruffled the other's hair.
"Heh. Well, I'm glad you approve." Shiro laughed. "I suppose zap's a word you learned when I accidentally continued to electrocute you when you were in the container, hmn?" He winked. "Well, glad it didn't turn out too badly." After he finally picked up all the pieces of glass he could see, he stood up. "None of you guys step around here without slippers or something, okay? There might still be glass on the floor. I'll be right back with the vacuum." With that Shiro left Maturin and Zack.
"Uh...hi..." Maturin finally said, softly.
"ZAP!" Zack declared again, before giving a harty wave.
When Shiro returned he smiled at the two boys. He had a good feeling about these two...

Shiro yawned as he rolled off the couch. He had had a busy week. Going back to school, band, art he owed, practicing for finals, homework, and then the day before he went to Disneyland with the band, and although that was an extremely fun day, it kept him from really doing much at home.
As he looked about him, with the blanket surrounding him, he realized he had slept in, probably due to the fact that he was exhausted the day before from walking all day and marching. He glanced at the window and noticed the rain and smiled, lightly. He loved the rain. He got up and wondered what the others were doing. Rain days were always quite comfortable days for him.
---
Zack had been staring out the window of his room. Bright yellow eyes stared out in wonder at the rain the poured down. He appeared MUCH more energetic then usual, wild spikey hair seeming to waver just from him sitting there. Perhaps it had to do with the water, and moisture in the air, and his own electric current.
Shiro opened the door lightly and noticed him, sitting there. Shiro walked in and leaned on the wall beside Zack.
"Hey, Zack." Shiro said softly. "What's up." Zack grinned up at Shiro.
"Rain makes me happy, hyper!" He said simply, looking quite bright, and his voice quite energetic. Shiro laughed.
"Want to watch a movie and have some hot chocolate?" He asked.
"Play?"
"No, no playing. Heh, we can't go outside right now, because even though the rain seems to give you energy and I love the rain we'll get sick if we play out there."
"Aw, no play?"
"No, but we can have hot chocolate and a movie." He said, smiling.
"Okay!" He grinned, jumping up quickly. Shiro laughed and walked out of the room, Zack following closely.
---
Soon, Shiro, Zack, and Maturin were all sitting at the base of the couch, rather then on it, each with their own cermic mug, steaming with hot chocolate. A large blanket drapped over them all, and each sitting on a pillow. Shiro's cup blue with white stripes, Maturin's cup green with white, and Zack's gray with yellow.
As they sat, they watched a nice children's movie, as the rain fell outside the window.
"Tomorrow we'll go out and play or something, 'kay?" He whispered to Zack. Zack grinned.
"Hooray! Play!"

Zack was playing outside happily. He had an unusual amount of energy for a child of his age and size, but off he went, jumping about and hyper as he kicked around a ball in his backyard.
Shiro walked outside and watched as the gray-ish child dashed about the yard excitedly chasing the ball. Such an infectious little child should start making friends to take all his energy off on.
Zack laughed with himself as he dashed about excitedly trying to catch the ball he had just kicked it up against the tree and now it was flying and bouncing everywhere!
Shiro walked back inside and decided to try and contact someone whom Zack could meet and play with...afterall, if his shy brother Maturin could make friends...this infectious little child should be able to!

I had the oddest experience. I woke up in my bed as if nothing happened at all, and yet I remember well being someplace else for the longest time.
I went into the other room after waking up, and Maturin was just having breakfast with Shiro. All they said was that I slept in for a bit like four more hours. Amazing how it's only be four hours, really.
I remember being in a place...like a palace all in pink. It was really cool, but...I dunno...a bit too much pink. There was this little girl, and a tall dark guy...one was named...Nalani and the other one was Donovan, I think. And then there were others. Like that girl...what was her name? He remembered calling her something along the lines of: Miss Lady Princess Pink Person or something like that. He really couldn't remember her name. He remembered those other people who showed up...and also those other people. Were they king and queen? Then who where those other people? It was all very confusing. He remembered something that happened with a metal like electric mesh that showed up, too. Something that came from him. It was pretty amazing.
Maturin just sort of smirked after I told him the story after breakfast. He said that it was probably just a dream but I just stuck my tongue at him and told him he didn't know anything despite those stupid books he always read! And y'know what? I know I'm right! I know what happened actually happened! I hope I get to see Nalani, and Donovan, and Romeo someday again! He could actually say he had friends now! This was pretty exciting!
But right now...I'm still pretty tired. Afterall, I just had a pretty big adventure. I'm bound to be at least a lil tired, right? *yawn* Well, I think I'll take a little nap for a moment...

Well...haven't written much lately. My brother Maturin got a trumpet 'cause he grew up or something like that. I dunno. Sounds horrible though. Shiro tells me not to make fun of him because he's just beginning and stuff...but...it's so fun to see him react! Hee hee.
Yeah...I've been having fun with the plushie. It's mini me! Hee hee. Although...for some reason it keeps clinging to me sometimes. Like...static cling and stuff. It's really weird.
Man...I really don't have much to say...so...I guess I'll stop. Dunno whether I can keep still for that much longer anyways! Heh. I'll go out and see if Matt Matt'll play with me.
