Miria slumped on the couch and flipped through the channels, her mind on the glowing jar she had received from Shy.
All she knew was that some day soon a child would appear in place of the jar... but she had no idea what the child would be like because unlike the other parents she didn't start with an empty jar and Shy wouldn't tell her what was in it or anything about it.
She sat up and looked at the glowing jar on the table, the stuff inside seemed to swirl around its self; it sort of reminded her of a lava lamp.

She snickered at that thought and settled down into the couch getting ready for a long night of watching Christmas specials.

Half way through the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, her puppy Apollo decided that he wanted to play. So he grabbed his ball and jumped up onto the couch.
Miria laughed at him and grabbed the ball, pulling the puppy down on to the floor, the T.V. still playing in the background.

Miria sat on the floor in front of the newly decorated tree, the glowing jar was sitting beside her still swirling around.
With a grin, like a little girl at Christmas she cralwed forward, bringing the jar with her, to look at the few presents that were under the tree.
"Lets see, one for me, another one for me, one for you..." She glanced at it, "Who would give a jar a present?...oh well stranger things have happened.. lets see one for Toshi." She put the present back and picked up the jar.
"Thats right you havn't meet her yet, she's been away for the last few days but she'll be home soon, she's staying with some friends of mine right now. Anyway, Toshi is your sister."
She grinned at the jar and then frowned when she heard the boxs that she had used to store the decorations crash to the ground.
Looking over she saw Apollo poke his little puppy nose out of an over turned box.

Shy
It was Christmas time, and there had been enough excitement, really. But on the midnight strike of Christmas, seconds before Boxing Day something crashes. A large, splintering sound made all the more apparant because of the silence.

A child lay cradled among the broken glass, nicked in some areas but with white skin mostly pure. Not like snow, because it holds undercurrents of frost, cool shades that seem to bring down the temperature in the room, clashing in the almost burning mop of fiery copper hair. Two soft extenions sit on the child's back, like velvet attachments to a toy, and seem to flicker slightly, showing that they are natural, just not perfectly formed yet.

The child is almost serious, sleeping there as if unaware of their own birth. However, they refuse to open their eyes-- and will not open their eyes until at least teenage years have been reached.

But this won't be a problem. Who needs eyes when you can see perfectly well without them?

Miria jerked awake by the splintering sound of the jar beaking. She looked around and for a minute before crawling out of bed and wondering down the halls to see what had made the noise.

First she peeked into Toshi's room, she was still sound alseep.
Next she went to check on Istu, a child that Miria had just adopted, but he was also still asleep.

She slowly walked into the living room and stopped, staring in shock at the shattered glass that covered the floor and the child that was still sleeping in the middle of it all.

"What the.... When Shy said that I would know when the jar broke... I didn't think this is what he meant."

Miria went to get a broom and start to clean up the broken glass.
After about an hour all the glass was cleaned up and Miria was sitiing in a chair with the new child still sleeping in her lap.

After a few minutes of looking at him, she stood up and went to set him down in the bed in his new room.

She gently kissed his forehead, "Welcome to this world Ciro... I hope you like it."

Ritsuki and Oya walked up to the house, taking their time. At least Oya was anyway. Ritsuki was skipping as she usually did, happy that the day was sunny. There weren't many flowers out since it was still winter. A few lingering petals were on the ground, but most had frozen and died. The sun made up for everything though, filling the sky with light and joy. Joy for Ritsuki at least.

Oya walked slowly and carefully, making sure not to fall on the ice that was all around. Ritsuki seemed to be able to catch herself if she fell, but that was one skill Oya didn't have, and she planned on not breaking any bones. Checking the address on the crumbled peice of paper she held in her hand, she looked back up at the house. It was the right address. Shy had said that it would be good for Ritsuki to meet other fae her own age. So there they were. Another fae child's house.

"You ready Ritsuki?"

Oya looked down at the girl that was now skipping in circles. She didn't seem to look cold at all.

"I was born ready!"

Ritsuki lifted a hand to the door. She knocked in a pattern, making sure to let everyone in the house know she was there and she wanted to meet somebody.

Ciro sat at the kitchen table watching his bother and sister who sat at the other end of the table, color in a coloring book.
His mother, Miria, was in the kitchen cleaning up after breakfast.
A new fea was coming... this was the first fea that Ciro had meet that was his age.

A knock on the door was heard, Toshi and Istu, both ran for the door laughing happily but was stopped by Miria.

"Why don't you go and answer the door Ciro." She said grinning at him.

Ciro slid down off the chair and walked towards the door, even though his eyes were closed he didn't run into anything.

He pulled open the door greeted the two behind it.

"Hello. I'm Ciro, why don't you come in."

agentgirl112
Oya nodded silently, walking through the door past the small fae. Ritsuki followed quickly. It wasn't that she expected the door to close on her. She was very excited to meet another fae. Hopefully, this time would be even more fun than the last. Last time ended pretty well. Ciro seemed nice, and Ritsuki thought that they would have a lot of fun that day, both inside and outside.

She wandered around the entrance. It was a nice house, but Oya's felt nicer and more familiar. She could still smell the scent of breakfast throughout the house. Someone had had a good meal that day.

"Thank you Ciro! Your house looks so cool!"

Oya wandered into the kitchen and left Ritsuki with her new friend. There were more children in there, but they weren't fae children. There was one more woman in there, also human. She was probably their mom and Ciro's caretaker. Oya smiled kindly to the children and their mother.

Ciro closed the door behind Ritsuki and followed them up the hall.

"Your welcome. And Thanks." He gave her a small smile in response and ducked his head.
"So... what do you want to do?" he asked her, brushing some hair away from his face.

Miria smiled at the woman and waved her in.
"Welcome, I'm Miria and this is Toshi," She said pointing to the elf child, "and this is Istu. Are you hungry? There is still some food left from breakfast if you want some."

Istu grinned at the new lady and then went back to coloring.

agentgirl112
Ritsuki pondered the thought for a moment, trying to figure out what they could play. She really didn't care what it was they played, as long as the did play. She probed deep into her mind to figure out what they should play.

"How about hide-and-seek?"

She smiled at her idea. It was a fun game to play. Oya had never managed to find her, no matter how long she looked. Oya always gave up in the end, and Ritsuki was always victorious. Ritsuki was the self-proclaimed champion of hide-and-seek. At her house anyway.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Oya herself thought about what to do about breakfast. She had managed to grab some toast this morning. Toast had kept her alive for a long time. It was usually her breakfast, because it was so easy to make and she didn't really have a lot of cleaning to do afterwards.

"If it doesn't trouble you, then yes, sure. Thank you."

Evermoon
Ciro tilited his head and 'watched' her through closed eyes as she thought.
Hide and seek. He grinned at her.
"Okay, you can hide first if you like to."
He turned around and sat on the couch burying his head in his arms, remembering the first time he had played this game with his siblings.
They didn't know then that he didn't need his eyes to see and it confused them how often and easy he could find them until mom had put a stop to.

Miria shook her head.
"No, no problem at all. theres some hash browns left, I'll get you some."
She pulled out a covered plate from the fridge and unwrapped it, then dished some out onto a plate and put it in the microwave.

agentgirl112

Ritsuki ran off into the next room. She had to find a hiding space fast, before Ciro finished counting. Come to think of it, she didn't even know how long he was going to count. He could count anywhere from ten to one million for all she knew. She'd have to figure out a nice place to wait for him to come. He had the home field advantage since he lived here.

She found a good hiding spot behind a nearby chair. She sat down happily. She might have to wait a while until The chair was right in the corner, so she made sure she could see him coming.

Oya sat down in a chair by the table, waiting patiently for the hash browns. The plate in the microwave was a promise of food. Any food would be alright. She hadn't eaten an actual meal in a while. She had been too busy trying to find time to play with Ritsuki and get some work done.

Evermoon
"48, 49, 50! Ready or not here I come!"
He got up and after a quick look around the room and into the kitchen told him she wasn't there. He then started to go down the hall, stopping to look in the different rooms as he went by.
"Were could she be..." he mumbled to himself when he saw a bit of pink cloth poking out from behind a chair.
Grinning he walked up and bent down.
"Got You."

The microwave beeped and Miria pulled it out of the microwave and set it on the table with a fork, she then shooed the children off into the living room.

agentgirl112
Ritsuki gasped in amazement. No one had ever found her so quickly before. It seemed like only seconds before he saw her. She looked around to make sure no one was helping him. There was no one else in the room besides them. She smiled to herself and laughed.

"You're really good at this!"

She laughed again and scratched her head, still trying to figure out how the small boy had located her so quickly. She had no clue how a young boy could find her within seconds without help.

"Was my hiding spot really that bad?"

Oya smiled again at the woman, and took the plate happily. She was really hungry, she just hadn't known it until she thought of food. The hash browns looked really good. Better than the stuff Oya made for herself.

"Thank you very much...Mrs... What's your name if I may ask?"

Evermoon
Ciro grinned and blushed a little causing his face to turn an odd white pink color.
"Thanks. Your spot was good, I wouldn't have found you so soon but a part of your ribbon was poking out and thats what I saw."

He backed up so she could get out and grinned shyly at her again.
"Come on, its your turn."

Miria sat down at the table as well and grinned in reply.
"You can call me Miria, I never was one for the Mr and Mrs stuff. Though I'm afraid I didn't catch your name either."

agentgirl112
Ritsuki nodded and stepped out of her hiding spot. It was a little cramped in there, so it was nice to walk around again. She looked down at the ribbon that she always had. It usually didn't cause any trouble, but this time, it had cost her a game. Well, it was her turn now. Nothing she could do.

"Alright! I should count to fifty, right?"

She went over to the chair she had hid behind, and put her head down to make sure she couldn't see. She covered her eyes just to make sure she didn't look around while Ciro was hiding.

"1...2...3..."

Oya picked up a fork that was close to her. It looked clean, so she would use it. She would use any utensil as long as it looked clean.

"My name's Oya. Just Oya. I don't care to much for formal names either."

Evermoon
Ciro quickly looked around for a place to hide, thinking of one he headed of to the closet that was beside the door. It was used to hang up jackets and to put shoes and boots.
He oopened the door and moved some of the shoes around and then closed the door waiting for Ritsuki to find him.

Miria nodded.
"Its nice to meet you Oya."

agentgirl112]Ritsuki waited patiently for her count to reach fifty. Each second passed, and each second she spoke, counting higher and higher. Slowly but surely, she got closer. She could no longer hear Ciro's footsteps.

"47...48...49...50!"

She pulled her head up quickly, and looked around for Ciro. Maybe she could find something showing, like he had. There was nothing around that she could see, so she went on to the next room. She didn't find anything there either. This might be harder than she thought. Oya usually was the one looking.

"Where oh where could Ciro be..."

Oya smiled and picked up some of the hash browns with the fork. She stuffed them in her mouth. Not one escaped. She ate all of them slowly. They tasted even better than they looked.
[quote="Evermoon
Ciro could hear her as she got closer to his hiding place. He shifted a little causing the coats to bump rustle together. He froze in spot and glared at the frost that he was creating being in such a small space... it was a problem he had if he was in a small area or even in a big one for to long then he started to create frost the covered everything.

Miria raised an eye brow and grinned.
"Hungry?"

agentgirl112
Ritsuki slowed down next to a closet. It seemed to get colder there. Strange that one part of the room was colder... She tip-toed slowly towards the closet, as silently as she could. She slowed down her breathing to make sure he couldn't hear her. She could hear her own heart beating as she got nearer to the door. Once she reached it, she placed her hand on the doorknob to find it was very cold. Colder than the entire room.

Oya stopped her feeding frenzy long enough to swallow. She took some deep breaths, gathering all the air she hadn't thought of getting when she was eating. It was really good. Anything was good since she hadn't eaten an actual meal in a couple days.

"You can tell?"

Evermoon
Ciro tryed to will the frost to dissapear but in didn't work... if nothing eles in made it worse.
He stilled for a minute to listen for Ritsuki, he couldn't hear her moving at all... so that ment two things.
One she was in a different part of the house or two she was being really quite for some reason.

Miria laughed and nodded.
"Just a bit, but if you would like something else then just say so and I'll be happy to get you some."

agentgirl112
Ritsuki put her hand back on the doorknob. It was still freezing cold. She turned it quickly and opened the door. She removed her hand the second the door was opened. Her hand was really cold, even though it had only been on the metal for a couple seconds. She waved it a few times to try to shake off the cold. When she looked back up, she saw that there was frost on almost everything inside the closet. The cold was coming straight at her. She pointed at Ciro happily.

"I found you!"

She laughed a little. It was funny somehow to see a boy hiding behind the clothes. He didn't look cold in there at all. He looked happy there, aside from the fact that Ritsuki had just found him.

"That's really cool!"

Oya got out of her seat after she was done with the food. She sighed a little. They were going to be late unless they left soon. Oya had a meeting with her teachers to help her decide on next year's classes. Then she was going to pass by the Project 030 building so that Ritsuki could see Zang and Ferroc.

"Sorry, but we need to leave...I have an appointment, and Ritsuki needs going to come with me. I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly, but thank you very much for the meal. We'll be sure to come by again."

Evermoon
Ciro shrugged and grinned.
"Mom says that some sort of frost might have been put into my jar. I do that alot, freeze things that is, its really useful in Summer when your ice cream is melting on you."

He pushed his way out of the closet and stood by her smiling.

"Come on, my turn."
He started to lead her towards the living room, going past the kitchen as he went.

Miria shook her head.
"Its alright, I understand. Your more then welcome to come again it seemed like they were having lots of fun today. Your welcome."
She smiled at her.

agentgirl112
Ritsuki waved to Oya happily as she passed. She saw the plate on the table and stopped. She knew there was food close by. She hadn't had that much to eat, just some toast and bacon. Not as much as she usually had. She was actually getting pretty hungry.

"Food?"
She asked while walking towards the table. She got there, and looked onto the table. The plate was empty. She looked up at Oya, trying to see if she knew where there was some food. It was close to lunch after all.

"Sorry Ritsuki, but we have to go. I'm sure Shy'll have some food for you when we get there."

Ritsuki sighed a little. It had been fun there, but she did have to go so she could see Ferroc and Xang. It'd been a while since she had. She was a little disappointed that she had to leave her new friend though. She smiled once more and turned to Ciro.

"I'll see you later then!"

Evermoon
Ciro nodded and grinned.
"I'll see you. Come back soon okay?"
He was a little sad to see her go, she was fun, and it was kinda boring here. But oh well, hopefully she'll be back soon and then they could play agian.

agentgirl112
Oya and Ritsuki both waved as they were escorted out of the house. It had been an interesting time. They would definatly come back to this house and visit. The house seemed to also see them off as they walked away. Ritsuki would have to tell Oya about her time with Ciro once they got home, but for now, they had to go. The stories could wait a while, but the people they had to see could not.

Evermoon
Ciro stood in the door frame and waved good bye.
He then went back inside and sighing, stared at the puddle of water that was slowly being made around the closet door.

Ciro flopped himself over the arm of the couch. He was tired; his leasns were harder then he thought but today he was home alone. Miria had taken the brats out for the day giving him some piece and quite.

He dug through the couch until he found the TV remote; Itsu was always hiding it there, and flipped on the TV. He spent a few mintues going through the channels until he settled on some cartoon.

Getting up he walked into the kitchen and grapped a plate of cookies and a glass of water. He may not need them but they were to good to give up, after all they were chocoalte.

He went back to the couch and settled down munching on his cookies as he returned to filpping the channels.

Nothing. Thats what was on, nothing. How boring, he wondered for a minute if he sould call up Ritsuki but then decided against it. She had been really busy lately and he didn't want to bother her.

He watched TV for a bit, until he finished off the cookies and water and then shut the TV off. Rolling off the couch he went and put the dirty dishes in the sink and leaned against the counter wondering about what to do next.

He spotted a book by the window and grinned. Miria had bought him a large book on Fairy tales just a few days ago and he really hadn't has the time to look over it yet, so he grabbed the book and settled down in the chair by the window letting the sun shine on him and give lght to read by.
