"oh, and where do you suppose we go?" said Kraui, tromping after him, her footsteps sounding like lead hitting the dirt. "I don't see how I wouldn't look out of place, especially in this Era." she pointed out. "Probability Low." droned her AI. "Be quiet Airm, nobody asked you." she ordered. Sometime she wondered what use her AI really had other than to annoy the crap out of her.

clayton reached into a bag and pulled out a larch hooded cloak and handed it to her "u can wear that for now and as of where to go we can go to the next city about a day or 2 of a walk from here and could u walk a little more quietly?" he asked a lil annoyed by how much noise she made when walking

"A bit crude..." Kraui sighed as she put the hooded cloak on, somewhat covering her armor, making her look quite absurd due to her shoulder cannons but concealing enough. "I'm sorry about the noise, i can't do anything about that." she said as she tried to walk quieter. "Power Levels reduced, left Plasma coil burning out." announced her AI. "Can you do anything about that Airm?" she asked. "Negative." It replied. "Damn, how much power do i have left?" "10 years, 3 months, 22 days and 5 minutes." "You didn't have to be so precise..." "Understood." "How many functions are disabled?" "Shoulder weapon conduits have been burned out." "Aw, what? I loved those things!" "Replacement Plasma coil advised, ejecting spent coil." A loud hissing sound could be heard from under the cloak, and a cylindrical cartridge fell with a clang to the ground. "Dammit Airm, ask for my permission before doing stuff like that!" "Understood."

clayton looked at Kraui "it may be crude but its what i got" he said and sighed and thought to himself this is gonna b a long trip and noticed a large group of people on horse back coming their way "s**t it's the military don't say anything ill talk to them, ok"

Kraui quickly picked up the ejected coil and held onto it. "Alright, just don't do anything hasty or I'll be forced to kill them all." she warned. she struggled to close the cloak around her front, but it just wouldn't reach. for the first time in quite a wile, she cursed having such large endowments. just what she needed, more attention. "Multiple mounted humanoi--" "shush Airm, be quiet until i tell you otherwise!" she hissed at her AI.

╢clayton║ clayton put on a fake smile as the leader leader of the cavalry approached and asked if they knew what happened at the camp and to which clayton replied "no sir we dont know what happened me and my traveling companion are just on our way tot he next town" the the leader looked at kraui and barked out the question "where r u from?" clayton looked at kraui "im srry sir but she dosnt speak english, and she comes from a small village near johanasburg if u would like to know"

Kraui decided it was best to go along with it. She slowly slipped her helmet off along with the hood of the cloak, revealing her long blue hair. "Airm, disengage." she whispered to her AI. "affirmative." it replied back. The armor around her fell away, receding into a concealed backpack strapped to her back. with the armor gone, she pulled the cloak the rest of the way over her body, concealing her nude figure. She wasn't worried though, if they tried to do anything, she could just put her armor back on. She smiled innocently at the cavalrymen.

╢clayton║ the leader seemed happy with the answer and said "ok have a safe travel u two" and moved on claytons let out of relief " god that was a close one" he said looking at kraui and noticed she didnt look as bulky under the cloak "what happened did u lose all ur armor or something?" he asked walking to the next town

Nah, i still have it, i just took it off." she said, following him. "I won't look as odd this way, although I'll need to find some clothes." she explained, laughing as if it were a joke. "Why did you cover for me back there?" she asked, looking him directly in the eyes with her violet hues.

clayton chuckled a little "because i had no reason not to and besides if i wouldnt have chances are i would b in a jail cell right next to you and we might b able to get u some cloths froma trader somewhere along the way" he said looking back at her

"Sounds fair enough." she said, smiling. "Thank you." She tossed the spent Plasma canister at him. "We might be able to get something for this. Don't worry, it's completely useless. As soon as a Plasma Coil is spent, the technology on the inside completely melts into a solid ingot." She explained. "Might be useful to a blacksmith." she added, remembering her middle-ages terminology from history class.

"no problem" clayton said and looked at the canister "hmmm i think thiers a blacksmith not far from here on the way to town he is a bit off the beaten path but im sure he will pay a pretty penny for this" he said as he came to a fork in the road and took a left

Mitsu flicked her tail and twitched her ears in annoyance. "Why is it, every time i get an assignment, something always goes wrong!" she hissed to herself. She carried her Khazer cannon over her shoulder as she walked up a road leading to a nearby township. "First I'm on my way to the spaceport, and now I'm in the middle of nowhere, with my ship reduced to a pile of scrap metal! Perfect day." she said sarcastically. Little did she know, that she had been thrown thousands of years into the past. A few people living on the outskirts of the city, ran inside their houses and bolted them shut seeing her approach, frightened at her appearance.

Kraui shivered as they walked, the breeze was more invading than she would have liked. "how long until we get somewhere i can get clothes, this draft is rather uncomfortable." she complained. She didn't want to put her armor back on, she might freak out anyone who passes. The small houses beside the road had their windows shut, and bolted. "Are you infamous around here or something?" she asked curiously.
