Maborofel Welcome thread: good idea, but fairly useless if nobody comes to the Guild. Most of us know this stuff already (when's the last time we've had someone new show up?) JUST BECAUSE I LURK DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T HAVE FEELINGS crying It looks like I'm late to the party, but the idea for a BIF is a much better idea IMO... the forum subsections are closer to the top of the page and from an interface view, it's going to be easier for newbies to see "information" at the top than seeing all of the subforums and then scrolling down and seeing eight stickies and... yeah. I only say it like this because I never even noticed the BIT until this poll was created... *skimming it now* sweatdrop The listed threads sound good, but I haven't been around long enough to know if anything's missing or unnessecs...unneccec... not needed. maybe I should sleep...Anyway, that's my two cents.

Well.... to be honest, I don't think it should be changed at all. It looks fine as is already, imo, and doesn't need to be changed. Everything is simplified for stickies and other things in certain forums. No need to make so much work for yourself. n_n; I think it looks good as is.

Sorry Doc...but if you're lurking how are we supposed to find you?
I had an idea that might be a bit hard to use, but what if we ask those 3-4 ppl who joined recently what their opinion is? After all, isn't this being done -mainly- for the newcomers?

After all, isn't this being done -mainly- for the newcomers? Well, that's easy. It's like Batman. People don't go "Wait, what if Batman's watching?" They just always assume he's watching and so nothing ever gets done. Likewise, you just sort of always assume I'm here, but hopefully more gets done. Alternatively, you can listen for the hen. I was only joking anyway. I don't actually have feelings. As for the second part... I've said my peace.

That's... looking rather scary, to be honest. If you could shorten the labels, like turn "General" into "[g]", I think it would look less intimidating.

@Nii Yarr, that's deifnitely more practical.
And the information wouldnt JUST be for newcomers. It's reference material, too - for example, in Roleplay Universe.

yeah, but for those of us who are used to it, we already know exactly where to go and what we want. If we got any lazier, we'd have them in Favorites stare
That's the whole difference to me. Veterans know where to look, newcomers don't. Therefore, it should be geared toward the newcomers because then both the newcomers and veterans can find what they want.
Heck, you could delete all of the official threads and at least one of us would look for them in the Archives...would probably find it too

Well everyone, it looks like we're going to have a subforum. More info here.
