Phoenixfire ran as fast as her legs could carry her through the labyrinth called backstage. She couldn't allow Landry to lay hands on her if she could help it and for now she could. Phoenixfire took sharp turns down several hallways before finding herself nearest to the locker rooms. If she could barricade herself in one of those and take up arms from the objects around her, she knew she might have a glimmer of chance in fighting back against Landry. Phoenix threw herself through the door to the Ladies' Locker Room and absentmindedly threw a few things together to hold the door shut for a few minutes while she prepared for attack.

Phoenixfire was illusive, but fortunately every wrestler leaves a trail, and that would be the cameramen following her in this case. It took a while for Landry to figure out exactly which room Phoenixfire was in, but sure enough he saw the lights under the door and heard the ruccuss behind it as she prepared her barricade.
Landry leaned up against the door and spoke just loudly enough for her to hear, "Run...run...it would be wise...because I am the Heartbreaker...I am your demise..."
And with that he tried front kicking the door, testing how much it would take to bust it down.

By this time, Matt had made his way backstage. But, had lost Phoenix and Landry. He stormed through the area, looking for a sign of either one of them.

Phoenixfire felt a chill run the course of her spine after hearing the eerie chant of the man at her door. She kept checking over her shoulder as to the condition of the door as she dug through her things for something she could use in an offensive on Landry. Her repertoire of things she used to primp and arrange before a match held very little in the way of objects that would cause significant damage. But there was something missing from her bag- her curling iron. If Phoenix had left it plugged into the wall, she could perhaps unplug it and it still be hot to cause some sort of burn that might stun her for long enough to work him down from his lofty position or wait for Shanahan to catch up. All Phoenix would have to do was wait and hope that her crazy scheme just might work.

Landry ceased his attempts to bust down the door and instead began useing his head, now kicking at the hinges on the door. If he was able to break them then it didn't matter what was holding the door shut, because he could just push it over.
Landry found a heavy equipment case and began ramming it into the lower hinge, breaking it to pieces. Soon he went to work on the upper one by busting on it with a microphone until it began to give way as well.

The gravity of what was about to happen weighed heavier on her mind as the hinges of the door kept giving way to the beast that awaited her behind it. Phoenix knew what she was facing and as terrified as she was, her sense of self-preservation had lost its purpose in this time and space. She had to act or face a terrible fate. Phoenix kept her death grip on the plug of the curling iron that was now beginning to singe the tips of her fingers. It hurt but that physical sensation would pale in comparison to the delight she would get from pressing the hot metal into the flesh of Landry's face. It was definitely crazy, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

Landry pulls the door down and the camera turns the corner to see Phoenixfire in the room, clinging to something with a defiant yet fearful stance. Landry stepped over the would-be barricade and into the room with an evil malicious grin on his face.
"Well well well...backed into a corner...seems this isn't the first time you've found yourself in this situation now is it...Athena? Or should I say Ms. Augustine? Tell me...do you feel cold? Do you have that same chill running down your spine you had in Alaska all those years ago when you lived your life in uncertainty and fear? Is this better? IS THIS BETTER!? ANSWER ME!"
Landry stepped forward trying to grip her by her neck against the wall.

The God of Punks stopped in his tracks when he heard Landry yell, and began to run down the hall, looking for the source.

Phoenixfire allowed Landry to take hold of her neck and press her to the wall, knowing this was the only way to get him where she wanted him to be. She still held the curling iron waiting for her opportunity to pounce. It would be soon enough if she kept her patience through those few moments of Landry's monologue, knowing the great reward would come to her soon enough. There was no chill but rather a flame of defiance. Phoenix despised being backed into a corner and walked all over like that, especially by a scoundrel like Landry. The insults were just the motivation she needed to equip her to go through with her plan. Phoenix had unplugged the iron from the wall split seconds after the door had been kicked in and now she would have her chance. She could barely make out the words for the restrictive grip on her neck but try she would.
"It ain't...cold...but I...know...this...sure is hot."
Phoenixfire wasted no time in raising her scorching iron in a quick flick of the hands and went press it into the flesh of Landry's face. If it was hot enough, he'd scream. He might let her go. But if he'd scream, help would arrive in due time.

"AH SONOFABITCH!" Landry shouted right as the iron touched his face and he immediatly relinquished his grip and backed away, holding his face.

Matt, thanks to Landry's girlish scream, found his way to the locker room. He looked into the room to see Landry holding his face, and Phoenix holind a curling iron. Thinking on his feet, The God of Punks hopped onto the barricade and went at Landry, attempting a huge boot to the back of the man's head!

Phoenixfire had dropped the iron to the floor as she ducked out of the way, more interested in watching Landry receive a lashing from a distance. She was extremely lucky to have used the curling iron against Landry and have succeeded, but there was no telling what would happen now. Phoenix just had to move out of the way and let Shanahan go about his business.

Matt let out a quick sigh, before going back to Landry. He would attempt to grab Landry from behind and hit him with a quick Punkism Convertion!

Landry stumbled backwards and found himself in Shanahan's grip, and soon enough he was flat on his face from the inverted suplex cutter combination.
