I've got a Nvidia GeForce 6600 I'm pretty sure.

So I'm hoping that'll be a-working for Oblivion.

I wouldn't have a clue!

Yeah, all of my friends are console players, but most have computers.

However, whenever they try to speak about said computers, I'll generally end up correcting them 80% of the time, because they don't really know anything about them.

I've heard that the 6600 is pretty good, but Nvidia can't compare to ATI. At least, from what I've seen. Of course, my original Nvidia came integrated with my computer, so it was really crappy. I can't really give you a comparison for lack of information, but I can tell you that the Xtasy 9600 can play some really cool games, with extremely good graphics. So far, I haven't found a single game that I wanted that wasn't supported by it. Of course, I don't mind graphics, as long as they're good, but great graphics always enhance the game. I just want my games for gameplay. Games like Dungeon Siege 2, Black and White 2, and Knights of the Old Republic 2.

The Nvidia 6600 can run Half Life 2, COD 2, and Battlefront at highest graphics, but since those are all the games I've put on the computer, I can only say that to be able to run Half Life 2 and COD 2, it'll most likely be able to play Oblivion, if not at average graphics, then on lower ones.

I like Half Life 2, finnished it on Xbox! xd

I just finished it on computer last Monday.

It's a fun game.

IT'S NOT ME!

It could be, but it's not. I fit that criteria. I like computers over consoles for a number of reasons, not the least of which is because of how easy programming new cheats into games is becoming. XML files are becoming a lot more common, and those are easy to edit. Files such as the balance files in the Black and White 2 archives are even easier, but I only add cheats after I've beaten the game.

The graphics are another reason, for a console will eventually become obsolete. A console is not a bad thing to have, and I like consoles. Computers are just better. Only the Video Card becomes obsolete, and most of the time, a console is more expensive than a video card.

After all, the ATI 9800 can play basically anything that the Xbox 360 can. The difference amounts to about two hundred thirty dollars. The 9800 can be found as low as $150, though in my town, it's anywhere from $160 to $400.

Computers have more capabilities, and with the right Video Card, you can hook it up to a television for the bigger screen, a capability which my Video Card, the 9600, has.

Well actually, give time your processor, and chip set could also become obsolete when trying to run new games.

As well as your ram may need upgrading, and your memory clearing or maybe needing more of that as well.

But over all, I still prefer the over all versitility and general awesomness of a computer.

Ah, than the Nvidia 6600 and the Xtasy 9600 must be pretty even. The Xtasy 9600 is a modification of the original 9600, and was made almost specifically for Half-life 2 and better graphics. So if yours can play it, mine should be able to, and vice-versa. I'm sure that one is slightly better than the other, but I don't know which.

Computer in my opinion is probably the best thing to buy for gaming, number one because bigger is better lol, number 2 because It has more games than any console xd (at least as for as I know, because the PS2 has a library of about 700 games)
