"How come? I'm not frightening you, am I?" the concerned tone returning, as he took a small step back to try and help him feel more at ease, "You don't need to be embarassed, people call over all the time. If I had to think of all the times I..." he trailed off, frowning and looking up for a moment as he DID think about it, and sighed.

"N-no... not at all..." he chuckled lightly, in a nervous manner, "I just... I'm just not... " he couldn't seem to get his words right... Instead he just shook his head in a defeated manner. Ears pricking up as the male continued, he glanced back over, taking note of his features a little, before resting to his eyes. Smiling lightly, he tilted his head and looked off again, "I seem to be good at making a fool of myself... at the worst times, lately..." he softly replied, sighing lightly.

Cheveyo got an amused look on her face, "I know how that feels." He gave him a curious look, though, and scratched at his shoulder, "Why is this the worst time?" His tail flicked, and he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, yawning again. He was bad at waking up at the best of times, it took him ages if it was sudden.

Well this didn't seem so bad... A gentle smile on his face, the vine coiled Cervi. Perhaps he wasn't like Leopold... but he sure had the stature and figure of him. Clayton's own features seemed to lax as they continued the light conversation, his nerves calming considerably. Looking back down to the book in his hands, he let his index finger trace along a curl that looped onto a swirl, "It usually happens when I'm.. around someone else... I wouldn't mind acting so foolish if other's weren't around when it happend.." he murmured, a miniscule smile perking at the corner of his lips. Infact, he seemed most 'together' when males weren't around. Probably because he didn't have to worry about 'being like one of the guys'. Less of a chance to be the center of attention for their jokes.

Cheveyo laughed warmly, "You poor thing. Well, don't worry, I don't think less of you for what happened," he beamed at him. He was so amused simply because he saw his teenage self in what Clayton was describing, so he understood how the other man felt, "How's your leg?" he asked, tilting his head, and looking to it. He hoped he wasn't too hurt. He could make splints if he had to. It wasn't a bad fall, but legs were weird like that. Easily injured.

The blush warming again on the young Cervi's face made him grip a little tighter to the book in his hands. Eyes lowering down to the grassblades, and the chestnut dyed male's hooves, a minut smile curving on his lips. Thumb tracing the spine of the book again, his tail flickered anxiously; well. Even if he was being mocked, at least it wasn't vicious or aggressive. And that was something he could definently live with. If he could only be as courageous and confident like Clouse. Taking a deep breath, he realized that Clouse probably would lecture him again on being more careful. For his own good, of course, since the golden Cervi acted more like the parent of their little trio.
As he was prompted again, Clayton's soft green eyes gently lifted to the other males waist for a split moment before lowering back down to his weak leg. Uncurling it, and placing it to the ground, he tested his weight upon it with no avail. It seemed a bit irritated, making his ear twitch as he winced. If he just walked through it, maybe it'd become more bareable. Pausing before he responded, he replied quietly, "I'm sure it's fine... just a little inflamed, probably..."

Cheveyo frowned, getting a serious look on his face, "I think you should let someone look at it. If not me, let me help you somewhere else. Its never a good idea to walk on it, it'll get worse," he shifted his bow into a more comfortable position, "And walking alone on a bad leg will leave you vulnerable, I can't allow that." He'd follow at a distance if he had to.

Lifting the leg to curl again, he gave thought to the others words... Fiddling with a loose strand on the binding of the book, he carefully assembled his words, "If you're certain you want to.. I wouldn't want to inconvieniance you, sir.." ugh, how idiotic he felt. Always getting into these kind of messes. Always having to rely on someone stronger than him to help. If only he were like Clouse...

Cheveyo smiled, "You're not being an inconvenience. If anything, I was for lying in the way like that. I camoflague very well," he said, getting an apologetic look on his face, "Do you know anyone nearby?"

Fiddling idly along his book, he lowered his eyes again to the ground, gaging how far his home was from here... Though Clouse was probably out partying, or preparing for one; per usual. A light frown wrinkling on his otherwise smooth brow, the Cervi realized he was quite far from the home as well. But that wasn't surprising, as he had done so to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Fidgeting some, his fingers gripping tighter to the book, he spoke softly, "My home's a bit far from here..." what an inconvenient predicament. Maybe it would be best if he just stayed here. Nibbling behind his bottom lip, he looked to the side sheepishly, "Perhaps I should just rest here awhile...?"
